Orpheus Brewing and Taproom Is Closing in Midtown Atlanta With Beer Brewing Moving to Bevana and a New Location in the Works | Eater Atlanta

"A planned small-scale brewery in Amsterdam to be run by founder Jason Pellett and his wife Leslie, focused initially on producing stouts and barleywine in 500–1000L guest-brew batches at existing breweries around the city. The operation will be run by the two of them without a taproom and will distribute in the Netherlands to start, with the long-term goal of returning to wild-yeast experimentation and brewing a big double IPA; beers from the project could eventually make their way back to Atlanta." - Beth McKibben

The service at this hotel was exceptional, especially during my international trip. I was warmly welcomed and allowed to check in earlier than expected. The room was a bit small, but that didn’t bother me. If you’re only there to sleep, then leave for the day. The noise wasn’t too bad, except for Friday and Sunday nights when it gets busy. If you can handle that, you’ll love this hotel. It’s conveniently located near a bar, food, and shopping center. Thank you again for the wonderful stay.

You get what you pay for with it being a bit cheaper but we found the room was spacious with everything we need and the beds were comfy. Was a bit noisy but it's surrounded by a lot of bars & restaurants so that's to be expected. The location is great, we were able to walk everywhere. Also the staff were nice. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!

The staff were great. Everyone mentions the stairs, they are not bad, just super steep. The ants — yes there are ants. In our room, they weren’t too noticeable. Mainly around the base boards, and around the sink in the bathroom. They are super tiny, but present. I also saw a mouse when I was coming back into the building from the main door. Overall room was decent, shower goes hot and cold on its own. This hotel is also in a bar area. I had no idea until we got here. Didn’t bother me, but could bother some Breakfast is 10€ per person. You can get coffee/tea/juice/milk there is cereal, cheese/meat, croissants, bread for toasting, or hard boiled eggs. Compared to the breakfast around it’s cheap for what you’re getting. But not a big selection

I recently stayed for two nights; overall, it was a positive experience. The location is excellent, conveniently situated near public transportation and restaurants. I was assigned a room on the third floor, which is lovely, but I would recommend future guests consider their luggage situation, as there is no elevator available.Upon arrival, I carried my luggage up the steep stairs myself, as the lady receptionist could not assist me. However, I appreciated that the guy receptionist later arranged for a staff to help me with my luggage during checkout. This thoughtful gesture made the departure much smoother. With a few minor improvements, this place could be even better!

The location was prime, we were able to easily get to and from places on foot and transit without a problem. No elevator and stairs are narrow, important info if you have heavier suitcases.Things looked passable, however friends and I left with bites from bedbugs on our backs, arms, hands, etc. We were also met with various other insects like ants and spiders throughout our stay.

Good location, good price, good comfy beds, however, they do have mice, rats and cats. They also have mosquitos that can easily get in the thin windows, the breakfast was okay, not worth €10 a day. Very expensive if you need an emergency day but good if you prebook. Would have been a higher score for the room if we were given the double we paid extra for but instead we got a double

Room, was absolutely tiny. With a loud water pipe going through it and occasionally the walls would weirdly vibrate too. Staff were pleasant though and the location was good

Yelp
We stayed here 2 nights from Monday, June 2 to Wednesday, June 4 at a total cost of 240 euros for the Double deluxe room via booking.com. When we arrived, we had to pay an additional city tax of 5.5%. Breakfast cost an additional 10 euros per person per night, which we didn't bother with. The hotel is located in Rembrandtplein, which is a nice plaza filled with restaurants and bars and close to public transportation. However, it is also possible to walk it from the main train station if you take a little bit of time. By upgrading to a deluxe room, we had a slightly larger room with our own private bathroom. Furnishing were REALLY outdated, like something from a museum or something, LOL. We had an enormous gold chandelier hanging from the ceiling. There were wooden beams in the ceiling, so I guess it was kind of cool for the historic, old-school Dutch feel. They did have some modern touches, such as a flat-screen tv and very good hairdryer in the room. The bathroom had a tub with jacuzzi, but the whole thing just looked so dated and old that I didn't bother to turn it on. No shower curtain, but the angle of the nozzle aimed it toward the wall, so I didn't spray too much water in the room when showering. Unfortunately, my bf made the whole bathroom wet when he showered, so I dunno what he was doing... :P I liked the shampoo/body wash dispenser and hand soap dispensers attached to the wall. Convenient. Water pressure was quite weak for the toilet. No elevator on the premises, so be prepared to carry your luggage up yourselves. We had to go up multiple flights of stairs--even going outdoors at one point--to get to our room. You have to leave the room key at the front desk when you leave the building, and the reception is open 24 hours.

Yelp
As far as European hotels go, this is pretty standard. As far as hotels in Amsterdam go, this one is on the money. The staff is incredibly friendly and the location is perfect. The rooms are surprisingly larger than you would expect especially in such a compact city. Yes, there is a slight list to one side, but that's the charm of Amsterdam. If you want American creature comforts, well you an stay out of the city center and never truly explore this amazing city. The hotel is full of charm and being located directly at Rembrandtsplein, you're in the middle of it all. Wasn't a huge fan of the clubs located on the plein, but hey...that's small potatoes.

Yelp
The location is really great. Unfortunately, that is all I can say positive about this hotel. We paid €175 for a double room and it was dirty like crazy. Found douzens of hairs in my bed and the shower did not really work properly (no preassure and not really warm). Also, the car service needed 1:15 minutes to pick up our car after they said it takes half an hour max. We had to wait outside on roads without being able to stay anywhere legally. Again, location really awesome though. Next time different hotel, same area.
