"Draga di Lovrana, located in the old town of Lovran on the western coast of the Kvarner Bay, also receives a star this year. The kitchen is led by the talented young chef Deni Srdoč, who has a strong connection with the local terroir and gives a subtle Italian-French influence to his technique." - The MICHELIN Guide

Charming looking hotel which is located on the cliff. I like the wood above the entrance since it reminds me of a wooden cottage. Service is very kind and helps guests. The restaurant has Michelin stars which is good since the food is tasty. It's a shame that the chef Deni Srdoč is moving to Germany since he was very good😢. The best in 2022.

What an amazing location. The restaurant/hotel is located on the top of the hill, so make sure you get there before sunset. Food? Incredible! Pairing wine? On point. Dolce? Delicious! Started with a fig and speck which was very interesting mix, together with some bread and olive oil. Then the cold fish and seafood plate was outstanding, and came with an incredible explanation and presentation. Continued with a primo piatto of seafood risotto, and gnocci which was really tasty and creamy. So many flavours! The night kept getting more interesting , and as a main we had probably the best octopus I ever had which came in a sauce, and an amberjack/yellow tail which was also very flavourful. To finish… dolce! A creamy lemon sorbet, and 3 different rich cakes. Yes, you are right! That was way too much food, but the the whole experience was amazing and worth it. Nobody felt heavy or bloated. The service was impeccable - waiter and owner were friendly, very clear and knew how to read the table. Grazie! Hvala! One of the best restaurants in Croatia, and I would recommend it to everybody to experience it.

My recent dining experience at Draga di Lovrana was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were enveloped in a warm, welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for the evening. However, what truly elevated our experience was the impeccable service provided by our waiter. His knowledge of the menu, passion for the cuisine, and genuine dedication to ensuring we had a memorable evening was unparalleled. He anticipated our every need, offering insightful recommendations that perfectly complemented our tastes, making us feel like cherished guests rather than mere customers. The food was a revelation, each dish a masterful blend of flavors and textures that highlighted the richness of the local ingredients. The standout for me was the wine – a bottle of Teran, a remarkable red wine originating from Istria. The waiter’s enthusiasm for this particular wine was infectious, and his description did not disappoint. The Teran was robust and full-bodied, with a complexity that perfectly paired with our meal. It was clear that great care had been taken in curating the wine list, and this Istrian gem was the perfect choice. The combination of exquisite food, exceptional wine, and, most importantly, the outstanding service made this an unforgettable dining experience. I can say without hesitation that I am already looking forward to my next visit to Draga di Lovrana. This restaurant is a true treasure, and I cannot wait to return and experience its magic once more.

I am not sure exactly what to make of this experience, but I find it funny enough. After hiking nearby, my friend and I stopped by for lunch. Upon arrival, we were told to freely choose a spot on the terrace, which is absolutely gorgeous. A solid minute went by before the waiter rushed to our table to state that we needed to be reseated. We complied in perplexity, unaware that we were being led to a low-chair seating arrangement. Although we found no objections to the initial seating, the waiter insisted it was wet from the morning dew, while simultaneously wiping off a puddle from the low table. After poking some fun at the theme of our apparently abhorrent breach of Tuesday noon's dress code, the waiter finally shrugged and exhaled, "Boss's orders." What ensued would have been one of the saddest drinks of our lives if not for the amusing fact that we were the only two guests in the entire restaurant at the time. The staff, who were drinking coffee and scrolling on their phones, even seemed somewhat startled that someone had decided to show up. In the end, I 100% agree with the opinion of the 'Boss' that we should have sought our seats elsewhere.

The service and the location of the restaurant are absolutely beautiful, as well as the restaurant setting and the terrace. Cozy but elegant. The food though, was good, not great.

We have stayed in the hotel several times, it is literally our to-go place in Croatia. Rooms are very cozy, clean, comfortable:) Views form the one side of the hotel to the mountains, from another - sea. Food in the restaurant- it is something out of this world! You simply have to try it! The best tasting menu with a paired wines is a perfect addition to your day. Staff is very friendly and professional. They know their way around the menu, very accommodative and polite. We had small dog, and it was allowed to go with him to the restaurant:) Overall experience is wonderful ❤️ We will be back in few month again🤗

Yes, the view is great, and the food is spectacular! But, put that aside for a second, because the greatest thing about this place is its staff. They were truly wonderful, one of the warmest and nicest people we have met in a long time. It is people like this that truly bring the value and joy to the whole experience. Although we were here for only one day, we will treasure this memory for a long, long time, and we are coming back as soon as possible. * Eat the srimp. Definitely eat the shrimp.

This hotel has such a good aura about it. The staff, including the manager, Dragan, go out of their way to make you feel special. They serve the most exquisite food, yet the staff are not snubby. The rooms are in line with the hotel's rustic theme. This is a hidden gem. You won't find a better service anywhere in Istria. Can't wait to visit again, so many great small touches.
