My experience and overall stay at Hotel Indigo downtown LA wasn’t just a great stay, it was absolutely wonderful! When I flew into the city and after a short drive to the hotel I knew I was in for a treat! The positive reviews are definitely a plus and experiencing them after visiting I can definitely agree that that this hotel lived up to my standards and then some! The staff friendly and very accommodating to our needs, and although me and my friend Micah did not end up going to the bar or the restaurant inside the hotel everyone was very pleasant and seemed to enjoy helping their guests (I’ll have to try that out next time). Very happy with the room with a city view, beds were very comfortable and being cleaned daily was a plus! The shower and bathroom felt large enough to make you have the feel at home kind of vibe, and I was just very pleased how much effort management goes into keeping their rooms and guests happy. Not to mention Starbucks literally next door made this stay much more enjoyable knowing I could get a good coffee without even leaving the hotel. Placed in a great spot just not too far from where we ventured out into the city it was very quiet and relaxing, not to mention the pool was lovely…being the only one in the pool past 9:00pm was peaceful with the view above the city, made me feel like yeah…I’m definitely coming back! For real though, this hotel and the staff deserve the 5 star rating. From amenities to the daily housekeeping keeping my room tidy when I was out and about. I will definitely be returning to this hotel, and coming from Boston to LA, only the 6 hours away, makes it definitely worth your stay! Thanks for a pleasant experience, I will be back! - Owen

Great beds, great pillows. Staff is great. Pool and gym are great. Super accommodating and kind all around. Our room services were mostly handled by a lovely woman named Patricia, and she was SUPER accommodating and kind. She always made sure our room was spotless and came back on multiple different occasions when we had to change her normal cleaning time. She is the main reason I will be returning, I hope the best future for her. 20/10. Thanks Patricia! Usted es el mejor!

Let me start by saying that for the money, is quite what you would expect. For the reviews and star rating... not much at all. If you book this hotel for your stay and keep telling yourself you ONLY paid less than $250 a night... even after you add the $40 daily in parking and the $35 daily in "Hotel Fees", you still feel like you paid below average for a "4 star" hotel. Now, with that in mind... if you had paid over $300 per night.. you would quickly go into realizing this is no 4 star hotel.. technically it is, but just falls short on all the things that technically make it a 4 star hotel. The tub size pool is tucked on this corner with just enough room for recliner chairs, the pool "bar" is a window like a concession stand, no real food at the pool level. The towels are thin, raggedy and threads coming off everywhere on each single towel. The bar/restaurant on the main level. Overpriced drinks, $20 for a small lemon drop martini. The food... cafeteria, reheated frozen food at best. Would not eat there unless necessary. Rooms. Spacious, well decorated. Now the bad: Sink faucets didn't work so we only had super hot or scorching hot water.... Furniture was all scraped and all the faux leather was peeled and visibly in shambles. The safe didn't work. No smart TV. Again, for a "4 star" hotel... not worth it. For the price... kind of worth it. Would i stay here again?... no. There are better options at that price range. And yes, I'm local. Downtown LA is a 40min drive from where I live.

Google
Double charged my wife for our deposit and still waiting on it to be returned. The rooms are not what you should get from a near 5 star location. Rooms have furniture that looks like it came from a college dorm. Across the street you will find people passed out from hard drugs. Only option for parking is $50 valet parking, so if you’re staying a week you have to pay $250 plus tip just to park. Won’t be coming back

I had an excellent brief stay at the Hotel Indigo Downtown LA. The check-in process was superb. I was assigned a room on a high floor, distant from the elevators (my preference). The room was beautiful and neat. Thanks Guiseppe!!! During my stay, the hotel staff texted me to inquire about how things were going and if I needed anything . The hotel's location was fantastic! I'm happy that I stayed here. I'll definitely comeback. 🤍🤍🤍

Google
This place was amazing! Awesome amenities, rooms were nice, service was impeccable! The best part was the bartender in 18 social! He is very funny, great conversationalist, and in my opinion one of the best drink mixers I've come across. Not only was the bartender amazing, so was the manager. The manager made sure to check in on us, he is also a conversationalist and funny. As a nice gesture, he also paid for a round of drinks because we kept going back every night. I highly recommend this place, it's a nice place in downtown LA and as a New Yorker, this hotel tops quite a few where im from.

Google
Very disappointing experience overall. There was a severe lack in service and the room was in bad condition. We stayed for 4 nights and the same dirty dishes that were in the hall when we arrived were there when we left. I would have questioned if they had any housekeepers at all but I know they do because one came knocking on our door at 8am and yet still left the dishes in the hall. The most disappointing part was the valet service. They do not offer any parking options other than a $54 a day valet service. Normally I wouldn't make much of a fuss about that but the fact that the service of the valet attendants was so bad leaves a really bad taste in my mouth. One of the things mentioned at check in is how you can call valet and have them bring up your car so it's ready when you leave the room. That would be great if they bothered to answer their phone. It would also be nice if they bothered to acknowledge their guests. One of the days we returned to the hotel after a long day out and not a single valet attendant walked to our car. We let ourselves out and made our way up to the booth where 6 valet attendants were just standing around conversing. I stood in front of the booth for nearly a full minute without being acknowledged by any of them and had to loudly state that we needed our car valeted to get their attention. The rooms were also subpar and bordered on gross. The headboard of the bed is a cheap faux leather that was peeling and I quickly found that it continued to peel in the night and fall onto me while I slept. I also noticed toward the end of our stay that on the sheets there was some mysterious brown stains that made my stomach turn at the sight of them. The entire experience at the Hotel Indigo has left me disgusted, from the service to the facility. I never thought I would dread coming back to my hotel room during a vacation but that's exactly how I felt having to go back to the Hotel Indigo for those 4 nights. Do better.

Google
This hotel exceeded my expectations. We were greeted by well-dressed men in suits who proceeded to open the doors for us and help us with our personal belongings. The hotel is gorgeous and beautifully decorated. The rooms are big with lots of amenities and comfortable beds. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I stayed here for a work conference, and it was my first time at an Indigo hotel. It's advertised as a 4-star boutique hotel. The lobby looked modern and clean, with fruit-infused water and bottled water available. There was a self serve snack bar in the lobby. Despite my lack of IHG status, I requested a room on a higher floor, away from the elevator on my reservation. However, the first room was unacceptable--there was a piece of chewing gum in the bathroom, the bed looked unmade, and trash was scattered around as if housekeeping had skipped it.. The furniture, including the bed frame, was scuffed up. After speaking with the front desk, i was given a different room, which was cleaner. The bed was comfortable, and the WiFi was reliable. I tried the outdoor pool once, but it was extremely windy. The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from the conference center, and I passed by numerous homeless individuals along the way. Walking alone after dark didn't feel safe, so next time, I'll likely choose a hotel with a complimentary shuttle service. At almost $350 per night, this stay did not live up to a 4-star standard.

Yelp
We walk in room 718 and we notice black marker all over the floor. I thought it was marker but it turned out to be black crayon. We then notice the bed frames are all beaten up on the corners. I've seen better furniture in a Motel where they will keep the lights on for you. Yan got a pretty big gash in her leg this morning. I went down to complain. I tried to speak to whom I thought was the manager but he couldn't care less and told me to speak to the man behind the screen. He asked if I wanted to move. I refused. The laminate floor was filthy with nail clips and this evening I found an old bandage that wasn't ours. For the money you spend on this room, you would expect better. What a hole. Go somewhere else. An old bandage on the floor? Someone doesn't care. House keeping obviously doesn't vacuum the floors regularly. Go somewhere else PS. Last night I go to take a shower and the water is pool temp and doesn't go beyond luke warm. Then last night after twenty loud minutes of hearing a water hammer, this morning it was hot. Run somewhere else. Don't waste your money.

Yelp
Welcome to the Indigo. An IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) Hotels & Resorts affiliate located on Francisco Street, just off the 110 Fwy and between James M Wood Blvd) that turns into 9th) and 8th Street. It's in a great area and a very short walk, metro ride, rideshare or drive from popular places depending on your Downtown LA pleasure. A recent semi staycation + event weekend allowed me the full Hotel Indigo experience. From the bar restaurant on the main floor (snack shop w/ beverages, complimentary water station) - reception, early arrivals and check-ins to banquet halls, meeting rooms, upper patio decks to the 18th floor bar lounge. Metropole Bar + Kitchen - is open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner with some great options including vegan tacos, bolognese, tons of great salads, soups, eggy breakfasts, tenacious toasts, sandwiches and more. Really impressed with the signature cocktails, wine offerings and the beer on tap. The restaurant opens at 6:30am. Food is served until 10pm. The bar is open until midnight, but you're welcome to enjoy the seating areas and lobby at any time which is a little similar to the 18 Social Bar on the 18th floor that serves until midnight as well. The bar service staff on various floors was incredible - there were a few cash bars and I often forget to carry cash so I didn't utilize them as much. I did however utilize some of the perfectly placed water stations throughout the hotel #StayHydrated #StayIndigo There was a lot of staff making sure the event went off well and helping field questions. Restrooms on the shared activity + space floors were perfect, clean and easy to access. The pool was currently under construction so we didn't get to experience this and the weather was actually really nice during the day and over the weekend in Downtown LA. The fitness center/gym was pretty nice, actually next to where the soon to be renovated pool area is. My boyfriend's room was a really nice, 2 queen/double queen comfy (had one of the best naps with him) - great beautiful view, wi-fi, tv, plenty of moving around room, great bathroom, table, loungey chairs that make you feel like you have a mini cafe inside your room + a coffee maker to add to the full experience (and let me tell you, he loves his coffee - so I know he loved this.) Plenty of elevators (six in total), short wait times, easy to get around and access. Parking is valet and it's a pretty penny ($54 currently), but it does make it easier in so many ways... However rideshare is your friend, especially if flying in and/or visiting from out of town (also shuttles from LAX or BURbank)... Less than a 10 minute walk from 7th & Metro Station. Foodie Notes: For food in the area beyond the hotel - I recommend Fixings, The Original Pantry Cafe (brave the line), Little Sister, Perch, The Rooftop at Wayfarer (make a reservation), JOEY, District (at The Bloc) and of course Grand Central Market You can also enjoy 24hr stops like iHop or Denny's and a ton of popular restaurants like Panini Kabob Grill or Wokcano, food trucks, fast casual (like Zankou + garlic sauce = life) or fast food spots. Q Tips: For social hangs, bars and clubs - the list is vast - Seventh Grand being my absolute favorite (whiskey, craft brew, billiards, live music), Rhythm Room LA (table top games first come + music + bites + drinks) - Precinct Nightclub the other (all inclusive open to all). DoLA and LA Weekly are two of my go to guides for happenings in the area. Overall Indigo is a solid stay, a little more tucked away in the best possibly way, you're very much in DTLA, but with an elevated experience.

Yelp
Lovely hotel and a wonderful stay for my very quick 2 day 1 night trip to LA! I love IHG properties because they're usually very modern and clean in finishing and Hotel Indigo was no exception. Loved the decor and the room was great with good amenities. Comfortable bed and great view from our window. The lobby was decorated for Christmas and there was a little interactive drawer for guests to leave/take knick knacks which I thought was adorable! Staff was lovely. We stopped by the attached restaurant/bar I believe called Metropole for a quick dinner and drink. Don't remember what we got but it was VERY empty, I think we were the only table. I was only in town for a short trip as I was attending a show at the Orpheum Theater. Loved that it was close, we walked back instead of taking an uber after the show. It was a nice short walk and I felt very safe even though I was in DTLA... then again I live in SF so not much phases me anymore LOL. Would definitely stay again!

Yelp
It was such a wonderful experience. I enjoyed my brief stay here. Everyone was superb in terms of service starting from Heck (the valet), bell service, restaurant receptionist, waiters and servers. It was a very pleasant stay that's unheard of in these days. Hotel has all the amenities in the room. They don't skimp like the Hilton hotels are doing. I like that they still have a keurig, extra toilet paper and even a spare Kleenex box, rooms were spacious and well furnished. I had a superb view of DTLA and the convention center. Location is near the convention area and a safe walk to Peacock Theatre where there were great food eateries too. Breakfast at the hotel was great. Menu and food options were great. Service was excellent!

Yelp
Came here this past Saturday and had a great time with a friend! The vibe here is super chill casual but classy We came around 10 have a few drinks the drinks were good and very strong! The drinks are a little pricey but that's expected especially in the downtown la area! I will be back

Yelp
I thought this place was really nice and I'm kind of surprised by the ratings here. The lobby and rooms were really nice and the bar was a great place to hangout. I'd definitely recommend any of my friends to stay here

Yelp
Location: centrally located around plenty of restaurants that are in walking distance-there is a club on the top floor however they rarely open it due to staffing issues Aesthetically gorgeous in outside and inside as the rooms are huge- my view of the city was great(forgot to take pics) Bed was comfortable Breakfast was amazing! Always ask for their version of salsa.

Yelp
I recently attended a multi-day event at the Hotel Indigo and got to spend time checking out the public areas and rooms. A relatively recent Down Town Los Angeles hotel (it was built in 2017), I had a mixture of thoughts when I stayed there. The positives: the staff were almost uniformly kind, polite and helpful. I was at a outdoor social event and the fire pits didn't turn on (when the sun goes down in LA the temperature can drop precipitously). A quick call got that sorted. Nice. The rooms were well-appointed. The beds very comfortable. No complaints. The style of the hotel was...muddled. There were some interesting design choices, but I didn't feel coherent. One floor or one area or even one elevator didn't necessarily feel like it belonged in this overall built environment. If this weren't a four star hotel, I wouldn't consider this a serious blow, but when you're paying extra for luxury... Hotel parking was pricey. I mean, the average price for valet parking at a hotel in the US is forty-four dollars a day. Here it's fifty-four. Little amenities, like water and soft drinks were over-priced. Not horrendous, but considering the price of even the most standard, no-frill rooms, I would expect a few more of these things to be complimentary. Not terrible, not wonderful. It's OK.

Yelp
This hotel never misses. It's always a pleasure to stay. It's one of our favorite downtown Los Angeles hotels.

Yelp
Hotel was fine. However when I called downstairs to ask if I could borrow a pair of scissors to cut a tag off of my dress the person at the desk simply replied "no." Confused I asked why, and they said they can't do that. I considered maybe it was an issue of someone destroying the room? And if that was the case maybe suggest I come down and use them at the desk. I don't know...I the grand scheme of things it wasn't a huge deal, however I was running late for a work event and needed to get dressed quickly. The rudeness really rubbed me the wrong way.

Yelp
Experienced a highly problematic and unsafe situation here this evening. Guests in pick up area waiting for cars etc. had no warning when hotel staff began shooting pellet guns at pigeons in rafters. As the pellets ricocheted people had to get out of the way. This is a safety issue - why was there no warning or taping off of the area? Also this is an absolutely sickening way to manage pigeons. They were hit with pellets and fell from the rafters not dead but injured. A man then walked around with a trash bag throwing them all inside still flapping. Please find a better way to do this that does not endanger guests and is more humane immediately.

Yelp
Decided to stay in this hotel to getaway . Very accommodating hotel with very nice rooms. Very clean and right in the middle of downtown Los angels. Parking here is $55 a night and comes with valet. The front desk staff was very nice and kind and answered all our questions. Plenty of places to eat nearby but i would recommend getting an Uber or Lyft since a lot of good places to eat are about a mile away. There is a smoking section outside the hotel and this hotel is dog friendly. There is a bar down in the lobby and a small snack section with sandwiches and drinks and it was pricey, but convienent. Complementary water bottles and ice flavored water in the lobby. If you are looking to getaway to stay in LA's big city this is it. There is a pool area with a spa and pool table with a view of the 110fwy looking east but it's far and you can't hear it.

Yelp
We stayed here due to its close proximity to a medical appointment. We checked in the day the LA fires first started. The first room we were given was directly across from the elevator on the 8th floor. The second we opened the door, we were hit with a disgusting smell!! The vinyl on the furniture was all torn up. Motel 6 furniture is better! We asked for a different room due to the smell and they put us on the 13th floor away from elevators. The furniture was better but not by much. Dinner was good. Nothing great. 5/10 But the server was great. She made the evening nice. The bed was nice but the pillows were soft and flat. Water pressure was good. The best thing about this hotel is the service - valet, front desk, & wait staff. Other than that, the rooms are very run down. We probably won't stay here again because we don't want to run the risk of getting a smelly room again and requesting a change. They allow dogs which could be why the rooms and hallways smell.
google avatar

Yelp
I absolutely loved the location of this IHG hotel - HOTEL INDIGO LOS ANGELES. It's modern and upgraded, and the staff was exceptional, especially the managers who graciously upgraded my room. My only complaint would be regarding housekeeping. Despite requesting a late check-out, there were three separate occasions within the window where staff knocked on my door. Additionally, cups left in the hallway from the bar downstairs were not picked up during my two-day stay, which was a bit annoying. However, overall, I highly recommend this hotel.

Piere H.

Yelp
The location is the only great thing about the hotel, almost everything else needs o be repaired or replaced as the attached pictures showing. The coffee maker is a pain in the neck! Wouldn't work, niether does hot water or the phone in the room! Room service is almost non-existent. Food is not bad, the bar/restaurant on the 18th floor is too roudy and loud so get below 13th floor to have a good night sleep.

Yelp
As an IGH Properties member I obviously try to stay at their hotels when I travel. So far this year I've stayed at three and they are pretty consistent as far as attractive rooms, amenities, courteous staff and most importantly, prime locations. This Hotel Indigo is at the very beginning of downtown LA and is walkable to so much such as the Crypto Center, LA Live, Shops at Fig, The InterContinental Building, all the downtown shops and bars and of course dozens of food trucks. However, one of the things I immediately found different and annoyingly so was the elevator system. You room key will only allow you to get off on your floor or a communal floor like the lobby, the lounge on the 18th and the pool floor. More than once I would get on with other guest and try to scan my key and it would not accept it so I had to go back down to the lobby and try again. It also means anyone who tries to visit you will have to wait in the lobby and you have to go and get them. I was out there visiting a friend who was obviously coming back and forth to see me so that routine got old real fast. On the positive the hotel is beautiful as I expected it to be. Lots of seating in the lobby and pretty large bar. There's a restaurant and a little area where you can grab and go. My room was big! My bed was big and comfortable. I had a little seating area, a fridge, a huge wardrobe and a huge bathroom with the best shower ever! My view wasn't bad either.

Yelp
I enjoyed the opportunity to stay at this four-star hotel, which was conveniently close to Dodger Stadium, to watch games two nights in a row. When I arrived for check-in, the nearest valet attendant seemed to ignore me, and serviced the person in the next car after me. So, I walked directly to the valet desk to get service. A valet attendant then said that my car was blocking their flow. That's on them for overlooking me. Valet is the only parking option for most hotels in Downtown Los Angeles, which they all charge $60 per night for, after taxes. On top of that, you have to tip each time you need to retrieve your car. If you forget something in your car, the valet has to get it for you. I'm not a fan of mandatory valet parking, but I enjoyed the convenience of it for this trip. When I went to the hotel desk to break $20 bills for tipping the valet attendants, they told me they were unable to do so. They told me to go to the bar, which wasn't open at the time I needed change. At the valet desk, the host opened the cash register and said he didn't have anything smaller than $20s. This conveyed the obvious message that they prefer tips of $20 or more. Rather than trying to induce the largest tips possible this way, I think they should earn it through their level of customer service. The hotel lobby, elevators, and floors had the quality and aesthetics that I would expect from a four-star hotel. Likewise for the room, which had plenty of space, including the bathroom. The shower had a glass door, with strong water flow. The window curtains could be closed completely, so that no light came in.

Yelp
Be careful if you choose to park at the smart & final parking garage instead of doing valet parking. It'll be $50 for overnight parking, per day. Comparatively, valet parking cost about $55/day. We were here for a recent fun 3-day holiday weekend. Good customer service, rooms are really nice, there was 1 sink with 2 beds where we stayed. It came with a fridge and the basic amenities. This included fridge, tv, hair dryer, towels. You could even request a free microwave delivered up to you if you needed that.

Yelp
Been here twice and I'll definitely be back. This location is perfect, it's a short drive away from many attentions. The hotel lobby has a modern look with a bar/lounge. Complementary water is offered at the desk. There is no self parking on premises but valet parking is available for fifty dollars a night. The rooms are a bit dark but very comfortable with large windows and breathtaking view of the city. Unfortunately the second time I booked a room with a view there was not much of a city view and a lot of street view. On the bright side the bathroom is very spacious. There are many nice amenities here. There's a gym, swimming pool, pool tables and fire pits.

Yelp
I had the worst hotel experience at Hotel Indigo. I'm still in shock and processing the events. Last weekend, 12/21/25, I surprised my wife with a Downtown Los Angeles date-night adventure. We traveled from San Diego. When we checked into our room 907, we found a large top-to-bottom crack in the window overlooking the city. We decided to keep the curtains closed and ignore it because we had tickets to a show and were running late. We quickly got ready and scuttled down to the lobby to call an Uber. We noticed some dramatic police activity out front. We figured we would ignore it because we were downtown and the police were just doing their job. Our Uber finally arrived and we stepped outside to meet our driver. This is when a hotel security staff pointed at me. I was then handcuffed by LAPD and detained in public without an explanation, while my wife and other hotel guests watched. After 30 minutes of humiliation, the officer uncuffed me and informed me that the Indio hotel security was the reason I was held. We missed our show, and needless to say, our night was ruined. This was a very traumatic experience and we are seeking legal counsel for damages and distress. Hotel Indigo staff's incompetence and negligence were the reason for the worst night of my life. This used to be one of my favorite hotels. I now advise everyone to stay at their own risk.

Yelp
Stayed at this hotel the first weekend in September, during the record-breaking heat wave in Southern California. I arrived early at 10am and was greeted at the front desk by the Assistant Front Desk Manager, Lorenzo Taylor. Even though it was well before check-in time, He was kind enough to let me check-in at 10am, something I greatly appreciate as I was already drenched in sweat from being outside for a while. It was a nice touch of the hotel to offer free bottled water at the front desk for guests who needed them due to the excess heat. I stayed in room 902, which was your standard hotel room at this property. I was traveling alone, so I did not mind that this is one of the rooms immediately adjacent the elevators. Some folks try to stay as far away from these rooms, but in my experience, there wasn't any discernable noise coming from the hallway during my stay. The fact that there was a fridge in the room helped a ton on this hot weekend, as I was able to fill it with water bottles and had cold bottled water through my stay. I appreciate how the AC at this hotel is STRONG! It was over 110 outside, but the AC in my room kept me at a cool 65 degrees. PERFECT! The king bed was very comfortable, the additional fluffy pillows were awesome, as always. In the bathroom, I appreciate the fact they have shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand lotion bottles for guests to use. I ordered room service one night, which I got the onion soup and a slice o New York cheesecake. They were fast with it, within 10 minutes of ordering I had it at my door. The waiter was nice enough to set up my table and serve the plates. The soup was piping hot, great flavors and hit the spot. The cheesecake was plated very nicely and the strawberry sauce on the side was exceptional when paired with the cheesecake. Definitely enjoyed the in-room dining experience. Overall, had a pleasant stay at this hotel on a rewards stay, and will continue to stay here whenever I'm in the area.

Yelp
Was here for a food conference, and the hotel is nice enough but the service was not so good. Checking in was a pain, the desk people were rather indifferent, I know i gave them my IHP membership number but somehow it did not make it into their records, causing me to have to waste time trying to get credit for the stay. The lobby bar was understaffed bigtime on every shift. Glasses piling up at the bar, with no help clearing and bussing. The indigo likes to come off as a high end hotel and charges accordingly, but beware its more like a dressed up Holiday Inn. Lipstick on the pig, so to speak. I think you might find better options in DTLA, I'd definiately not go back if I had a choice. I've stayed at quite a few Indigo Brand properties and this one was by far, the worst run. Most over-priced weak value for the money. Sorry Indigo, but you earned this review.

Yelp
Recently visited your hotel for a very good friend's 50th birthday party. When I pulled up to the valet for self parking he stated I would need to exit the hotel lot to the street, go to the corner and make a right you will see the parking lot. The only parking for the guests you would have to valet our car for $48.82 plus 10% sale tax $53.70 + $2.00 tip $55.70. Waited in line to check in around 25 to 30 mins. after checking in we were told we could get some food at the restaurant behind the bar which was just another of the misguided information we had been given...the restaurant was closed on a Sat. at 4:20pm, the pool was closed as well. The floor was scruffed up in more then one place, the rug was dirty also was stained, the furniture was worned and torned, the wall had scratch marks, the inside closet shelf was dirty with dust as well as the top of the TV, the couch was stained, the AC / heater was noisy, there was a hair pin was in the shower, there was a under thesink that was off or broken. So many complaints for this hotel and room #806. I have been in the IHG loyalty program for years and stayed in so many beauiful hotels and this hotel was the worse hotel.

Yelp
It's in a good location in DTLA! The hotel overall is nice, well taken care off and staff is amazing. The hotel is walking distance from a lot of restaurants and activities in DTLA.

Yelp
Do not stay at this shit hole of a hotel. There was dog pee on the wall of our room and the valets whom we tipped all weekend scratched my steering wheel with what looks to be keys in their hand or rings. We pointed it out immediately upon entering the car. The valet plus another one looked at it. The valet named Sam was in fact wearing rings. He took photos and said no problem we will file a claim. They told us they won't do anything in regards to the steering wheel. I get if maybe it was after the fact but it was the second they brought the car to us. I can assure you I am much more careful than to scratch up my own steering wheel. Take your business literally anywhere else. Over priced, disgusting, and dishonest staff they don't care about your things.

Yelp
what a dump. needs updated. broken furniture, worn-out couch, and walls tore up. Not a typical IHG. Should sell to Best Western.

Yelp
Great local stay! Staff was very friendly at the front desk upon check-in. Even late at night, this place is lively and filled with people. They have a little shop in the lobby with limited beverages and snacks. I wish the lobby bar was open later! The rooms are very spacious and nice! It was modern yet comfy. My room had a little nook with a sitting area and table which was a great spot to post up and eat some take out. The bathroom was very nice, no real door (it's a sliding door that doesn't fully shut) which if you are sharing a room might be awkward. The water pressure in my room was intense. It was coming out of the shower head so strongly that it shot through the shower door and made a huge watery puddle on the bathroom floor. Not entirely enjoyable, but the shower itself was nice. No mini bar in the rooms or any complimentary water. Rooms had blackout curtains which made for a good night's sleep. My room was overlooking the freeway and some neighboring hotels. Not a terrible view, though I was concern the neighboring hotel's windows had a clear view into mine. Elevators were easy to find and we never had to wait that long for them. Overall a great stay for the price! Valet is expensive and you might have to wait a little to get your car, but it's very convenient.

Yelp
We recently visited Hotel indigo Los Angeles and had a lovely stay at in downtown LA. The hotel was beautiful, and our overall experience was positive, except for one very unfortunate encounter with one of the valet guys which severely tainted our trip. My aunties and I had been enjoying our time, and on one of the nights, I decided to be their designated driver so they could celebrate without worry. Upon returning to the hotel, there was significant traffic at the front entrance. As we patiently waited for the cars to move so I could drop mine off with the valet but my aunties really had to use the rrest room and didnt want to wait waiting.process.process so they started to get out. The supervisor who initially seemed pleasant when we first arrived on our first day, began shouting at me. My aunties, trying to exit the car despite the gridlock, became targets of his aggression as well. He yelled at my elderly aunt, which prompted me to tell him to stop. His response? He rudely informed us that we could no longer valet our car there, and in an unbelievable display of unprofessionalism, he hurled insults at us with all other guest watching making a scene. We Left with no choice, we had to park across the street, even though we had valet parked at the hotel during previous nights amd were charged for it, and then walk back with two intoxicated elderly ladies. It was a stressful, embarrassing situation that could have been avoided with just a little professionalism. Upon returning to the hotel, my aunt approached Hector, asking him why he had been so rude and how we had ealked and not valet. Instead of apologizing or defusing the situation, he continued to argue with her, claiming he was in the right. He shrugged his shoulders and said its no my problem. What made the situation worse was the overpowering smell of alcohol on his breath. It became apparent that Hector himself was intoxicated, which only added to the embarrassment and tension of the situation and made sense because he used to be nice. I had to pull my aunties away before things escalated further. At this point it was 3 drunken people yelling over eachother and all being embarrassing. Later, once my uncle heard, he went downstairs to speak with the guy and he smlled the alcohol right away as well. Realizing that arguing with someone in his state would be futile, we decided to leave it at that for the night. The next day, we attempted to resolve the issue with the hotel staff and valet, but our concerns were completely ignored. We retrieved our car from across the street and reluctantly used valet again the following night not knowing if would allow us. It was disheartening to see that my two lovely, elderly aunties were essentially punished for the supervisor's behavior. His blatant disregard for professionalism, coupled with what seemed to be drunken belligerence, created an unnecessarily chaotic and humiliating scene outside the hotel. Instead of de-escalating the situation and showing respect to older women, he decided to argue, belittle, and insult them in front of other guests. I typically do not leave reviews, but this experience left me with no choice. I found out later that his name Hector. His behavior was deeply unprofessional, and the fact that the hotel ignored our complaint the following day made the experience even more unpleasant. If not for this incident, our stay at Hotel Indigo would have been perfect. But Hector's actions and attitude were unacceptable, and I sincerely hope the hotel takes appropriate action to ensure no other guests are treated in this manner. Thank you

Yelp
WOW, this property is amazing and right in the heart of DTLA. My friend recently rented out the pool for her birthday and got a room on the 18th floor. The property itself is really nice. The room was beautiful with high ceilings. The lobby was also really nice! The pool location was cool, but the server was so overwhelmed with the number of people there. He was a team of one attending to everyone ordering drinks there. The pool also could've had better music. They were playing slow jams the whole time, which was a bit of a downer for the vibe we were looking for. Lastly, they didn't have a jacuzzi, which I think would've been nice to have! Overall a good hotel in DTLA. I'd recommend this to anyone staying out in LA looking for accommodations!

Yelp
My first time here and i LOVED IT. I stayed on the 15th floor and it was a beautiful view at night. The pool is nice and HEATED, i got in the pool at 9 pm and wasn't cold at all. There's also a fire pit in the back i was able to warm up by after getting out of the pool. The view from the pool is AMAZING as well, surrounded by tall buildings. The bathroom was GORGEOUS , it took me a while to figure out the hot water lol. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was REALLY good, i got the omelette. I didn't have any issues with the stay at all, it kind of sucks having to pay the valet fee compared to the Anaheim location which doesn't charge one but it's probably due to the location.

Yelp
I purchased a resort pass an app with many options to spend the day on the rooftop. Not many seats available not overly crowded made it a nice place to relax for the day. Spent my day cation sipping cocktails and offered lunch menu available for poolside lunch Burgers, fries , chicken wings, and salads.thought I had a photo of the menu but the blueberry cocktails were so tasty by the time my wings came I devoured them and forgot to also take a photo all I can say .. I enjoyed them ! Everyone was very welcoming and attentive. Excellent service. I even made a few pool friends on my visit and exchanged IGs and made a tik tok in the pool. Overall vibe is great ! Not a great view but a great place to chill ! Pool rooftop is nestled between high rise buildings that offered some sunshine and shade. I appreciated the superior service!

Yelp
Hotel was beautiful! We attended a birthday on the 18th floor and the bartender was super occupied on the register! Took him a good 15-18 minutes to acknowledge us and then the DJ was extremely weak! She did not even play music that matched the crowd! Not a single person on the dance floor should've been her clue. It set the tone for a boring party.

Yelp
Hotel seems ice enough. And I'm sure when it's fully staffed it's enjoyable. But for the price that we paid we really expected more. Went at the start of August. No room service. The restaurant never seemed opened. When we came back late at night, the downstairs bar was littered with dirty glasses. I guess they did open at some point, I never saw it. The pool bar was also never open. Checked out the upstairs bar one night. Had to pay a $20 cover charge for a lounge empty of patrons. They had a DJ, sure. But about 6 other guests in the entire place. We ordered a Negra Modelo, bartender insisted again and again that they didn't have it (even though we could see it through the glass door of the fridge. Decided to stop arguing and ordered a Modelo Especial... He then hands me a Negra Modelo. Weird exchange as a whole. Everything else was fine. Not sure what's going on, but the potential is there.

Yelp
Stayed at this hotel for a night and it was ok. There isn't anything bad about the hotel per se, it just wasn't up to my standards. However, if you're traveling for 1-2 nights then this place is doable. The hotel staff were friendly. I was greeted with a warm welcome and a gift bag (included two waters; pretzels). My room was clean, but there were minor issues: the 2 lights by the bed didn't work, the AC system had an annoying sound (similar to a vacuum), and the shower's water was lukewarm, although, I had the nob turned on hot. They offer valet parking (overnight) -- approx. $59.60 and 1 hour parking -- $15. You can get your parking tickets validated at the hotel's restaurant for a lower rate. I parked at a public lot nearby because it was $40 for overnight parking. I would not stay at this hotel again, didn't like it. My experience was fine though.

Yelp
Stayed here 8/9-8/12. This hotel continues to be my favorite in DTLA. Did not spend too much time at the hotel this time however check in process went smooth, couches still looking damaged, and housekeeping did a good job keeping our room tidy. Will be back in November

Yelp
Stayed here for a conference and would echo some of the prior 1-3 star reviews here regarding customer service. The front desk staff were generally not helpful. In particular, when discussing a discrepancy in payment on file, the staff instead became defensive, rather than attempt to problem solve. Fortunately, the manager was friendly and able to help. In addition, while the hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms are generally nice, it is located directly across the street from an abandoned Salvation Army building with a row of tents on the sidewalk that you must walk by in order to get to the convention center or Staples center. Also, a few times trying to leave the hotel was made difficult by loiterers sitting immediately outside the hotel, just beyond the entrance near the driveway. So walking 1-2 blocks away was sometimes not an option and frankly unsafe. Oddly, there was no way to decline room turnover service. Most hotels have a "privacy" sign you can display, but not here. So another experience worth sharing is that one afternoon, I came back to my hotel room at around 3 pm planning to take a nap. My room had not been turned over, which was fine by me because I prefer not to use that service anyway. But because there was no privacy sign, I deadlocked the door instead. During my nap, housekeeping came and knocked on the door. Not once, but over and over and over again when they couldn't get in and until I responded. I told them they could come back later, and they came back in 10 minutes and again knocked and knocked on my door. Needless to say, without a privacy sign, I'm not sure how this problem could have been avoided, but it was certainly not necessary for that persistence either. An additional strange note regarding the housekeeping.... Early in my stay, I had asked for additional K-cups and sugar/cream packs, because I drink lots of coffee and knew I would likely run out. I got the extra packs and had them next to the Keurig, and one day, while I was gone, all the extra packs and K-cups were removed and returned to the original state of 2 packs/cups. Just strange. And goodness, if you buy a small cup of brewed coffee in the morning from the hotel lobby instead, it will cost $5. A few more small complaints - these may seem silly, but overall, it adds up. The lighting and signage in the halls (at least on my floor) was very dark, which could make navigating challenging. Also, the bathroom lights automatically turn off without activity; however, they don't "see" you in the shower, so they turned off almost every time I showered. For as expensive as the hotel is, these issues surprised me. Again, the hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms are lovely, the beds are soft, the fitness room was nice, etc. But with all of these issues in total given the price tag, I felt compelled to write a review. Frankly, I teetered between a 2- and 3-star review. Ultimately, because the hotel was clean and I felt safe in the room itself, I didn't lower to a 2, but I do think these concerns are worth consideration.

Yelp
Five stars because I can't think of anything that went wrong or that I was disappointed about. I had researched Hotel Indigo so I knew parking was expensive, check-in is not until 4:00 pm, check-out is also earlier, etc. The Hotel is in a great downtown location, we were able to walk a few blocks to LA Live and some eateries. We arrived a few hours before check-in and were easily able to valet park our car as well as our daughter's car. Yes, it's expensive but this is LA. Since it's valet, we were not able to go down to our car, but they were always willing to bring our car up as often as we needed. The only problem was it took a really long time each time. The hotel lobby and other common spaces were spacious and clean. We loved the theme and decor of the lobby and bar/restaurant. Usually we get a room with one king bed, but since we had our daughter, our room had two queen beds. Never again; I need that king bed! Regardless, the beds and bedding were clean and comfortable. Our room and bathroom were also very clean. I appreciated the table and extra seating because our other daughters came to visit and we had plenty of room for us all to hang out. I guess my only disappointment with Hotel Indigo is we tried to go up to 18 Social on the 18th floor but our key card was not working. The bar downstairs gets full quick so we wanted a bigger bar space - just minor disappointment. I definitely recommend Hotel Indigo and would stay here again.

Yelp
Cute hotel, pictures are similar to the real thing. Only thing I didn't like is that they add gratuity to everything even though cash was presented, no one said anything about gratuity except at the restaurant. I paid for the room previously. Upon check in was told it was $60 for parking and somehow they charged me $95 instead. No bill was emailed, no receipt was given. If you go, expect to pay more than what you originally thought. Just a fair warning... it should have been told before booking, maybe it's in the super fine print, or maybe they chose to not disclose it..

Yelp
We stayed at Hotel Indigo for two nights. Overall experience was decent. Would probably look into other hotels when we go back to La though. Pros: - Artistic design - Lots of aesthetic backgrounds for pictures - Pet friendly - We requested for a microwave, and it was brought to our room right away! - Available services through text Cons: - There was a fight between a staff and a guest when we arrived. Lots of screaming - There was a strong scent when we entered the lobby. - Expensive valet parking, which took a while - The pool area was a little messy If you book through hotels.com and got the option that included valet parking, make sure you are not charged for it again because they double charged us. Anyway, it was a decent stay!

Yelp
I booked here bc it said u offered an EV charger and hotel looks nice. I pulled up a valet guy told me it's valet only and going to cost $55. I was like "okay but can you please charge my car?" They said if it becomes available! Check in was fast, room #1304 great view and beautiful. Tried to lock the door, the bolt didn't turn all the way so the door was never fully locked. We DIDN'T feel safe at all. We turned around, there was a portable ac unit in our room running. We did not spend almost $400 a night so we could sleep next to a portable ac unit. It was SO loud and kept me up all night. You had lots of employees working which is great but they grouped together and talked. When I pulled up a second time, no one acknowledged me. I had to go looked for a valet guy to give them my key. All were standing there talking. No one asked how my stay was! And, at the end my car was never charged!!! I'm so disappointed. I really hope this feedback will do some good. I did feel welcomed there at all.

Yelp
My 2nd time going and both were great experiences. This time I was greeted by Lorenzo (manager) who had a warming smile and great conversation at check in. We went for birthday festivities and he made our stay just that! Love the aesthetic of the hotel and the rooms with views are great. Thank you!

Yelp
**VALET RIP OFF - TERRIBLE HOTEL MANAGEMENT ** We checked into this hotel for one night only to be told our Valet would cost $103.00 for the 1 night - The hotel said they can't help the price, the vendor/valet is a third party - (AAA Parking) - but the valet guys wear Hotel Indigo Name Tags.... When we refused to pay the exorbitant valet rate and pointed out the SIGN POSTED they threatened to tow our vehicle - so the hotel cancelled our reservation. All the sudden Hotel Management and Valet were in business together - no longer an arms length apart... I think we need some business licenses pulled - seems a little too orchestrated. HUSTLE IS STRONG.

Yelp
The manager Yousseff is just a dick. I come here to enjoy a game for baseball and have some drinks here at indigo downtown La and the manager is completely rude. Not only did he changed the channel of watching the game but questioned if I paid the bill. my partner and I come here once or twice a week and have never felt so uncomfortable by this manager Yousseff. This makes me not want to come here!!!! the company work for had a few Christmas parties here without any issues, I for sure will let my employer know not give anymore business to hotel indigo downtown LA Because of this manager Yousseff

Yelp
We were at an evening travel agent event at this property and we had a great time. The event took place at the pool area and the ambience and views of the city were excellent. Whether you are staying over night or just enjoying an outing for drinks and food this is a great place to visit.
