Hôtel La Reconce & Restaurant de la Poste

😊: Located in nice little village, friendly owners, has a good restaurant and breakfast with local produce such as eggs and cheese. Would come back. With a better WiFi and walk-in shower, it would be perfection.

We had dinner and stayed one night here. The owners were exceptionally lovely and accommodating. The food from the restaurant was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, and our room was comfortable. We were travelling with 4 children and the space accommodated them well, with a play area and relaxed vibe. Would def stay here again.

The room was spotlessly clean with everything we could have wanted. We ate on the beautiful terrace and had an amazing meal. Really lovely, well presented food in a lovely setting. We were pleased that we hadn’t booked for 2 nights however as there was no alternative to a full gastronomic meal which was fabulous for one night but we wouldn’t have wanted to have it again and there’s nothing else in the village. A really lovely place.

Travelling as a family we booked three rooms in total, on two separate bookings. Both my daughter and I received confirmations to our individual emails confirming our reservations. However when we arrived we were told that our reservations had been cancelled by the hotel as they were full and that we had been sent emails stating this. Neither of us had received such emails (in our inboxes or junk boxes). ||So we arrived, five adults and a baby blissfully unaware of the impending disaster!||The La Reconce did say they would book us rooms in a neighbouring town, however we fortunately had intermittent 3G and found ourselves wonderful alternative accommodation in the form of Chateau Martigny only five minutes 1.5mls distance ... a magical chateau, in a superb location. Stayed here as we were in the area for a wedding . Beautiful hotel in a lovely area. The staff were helpful and friendly . Lovely meal cooked by Patrick . We had a beautiful room on the top floor, comfortable, modern and clean. Would recommend

I booked a room in the hotel online, for all the information and then proceeded to put it into my calendar. I arrived at Lyon airport and two hours later arrived here to a closed hotel. Apparently they don't open on a Monday but still take bookings the week before and just won't let you know!

Booked a night's stay on the hotel's website on a Friday afternoon, drove two hours from Lyon airport on a Monday night to find that it was closed! They failed to inform me by either email, text or phone. I was then stranded in the town with no accommodation and no help from them. Horrendous.

Very Nice people, delicious breakfast and comfotable bed!
