Hôtel Le Sauvage

The room is beautifully furnished, with a comfortable bedding and a great bath tub. We also enjoyed the spa. The staff were incredible kind and helpful. It’s located in a very quiet area with a lovely park, but very easy access to the city center and the Citadel. Thank you very much for the amazing stay.

Lovely hotel. a bit difficult to get to. Nice grounds. 2 lovely young lads on reception greeted us with a smile. Had a big room with a large wet room. room in a separate building. Nice outside space. Breakfast could have been better for a 4 star hotel. Prices good.

Hotel in a unique location near the citadel of Besançon. Great atmosphere, comfortable rooms & private parking. The restaurant is great (reservation recommended). Breakfast buffet was reasonably good, but had not that much options. WiFi is my room was very weak.

Hard to fully describe the experience at this wonderful property. Although older as it was originally a convent the variations of the different rooms gives it great character. The location above the hill gives great views. The most amazing part of this property was the people. In the bar, resturaunt and front desk they made our experience winderful. A very romantic place to spend a weekend and explore the town below. Highly recommend this to anyone for a unique experience. People make a difference and they deserve a high rating!

Very disappointed with the room at the Sauvage Hotel. There were visible stains on the bedsheets, a spider in the room, and the rain shower sprayed water everywhere except directly under it – clearly poor maintenance. The room felt like it hadn’t been properly cleaned, which is unacceptable for a hotel rated 4 stars. Fortunately, the overall experience was somewhat saved by the excellent restaurant (which is run separately from the hotel), the spa, and the lovely surroundings. Sadly, the room experience did not match the rest of the setting.

Mr Kamel at the reception (afternoon - night) is very nice and friendly. He also introduced the history, the feature of the hotel, and share many other things with us. Thank you Mr. Kamel 🎂

Beautiful historic small hotel with outstanding staff.|This small hotel is a true gem- it’s a converted church, restored beautifully with cosy rooms. Very comfortable beds and nice sized bathroom with big shower. |What’s truely special about this hotel is the staff- from reception desk to breakfast ladies, everyone is so sweet and accommodating. Food is excellent and great selection of wines. Haven’t tried their spa area but it looks beautiful. Highly recommend and would definitely return when I am back in the area. Thank you for a great stay

This hotel was the highlight of our trip to the region.|It was an outstanding experience across the board, from location and exemplary service to helpfullness and friendliness. This is a must stay place in Besancon.|Lisa and Thibault, at the front desk, were a pleasure to interact with. The breakfast staff, Alida and Nadja provided superb service. Our room was clean and beautifully located.|The hotel has its own superb garden and it is within walking (climbing) distance from the not to be missed Citadel. Bravo!
