Alain Llorca

"Alain Llorca is an iconic character of French Riviera cuisine with high-profile stints at the mythical luxury Negresco Hotel and the Moulin de Mougins, amongst other fine food affairs. In his farmhouse in La Colle-sur-Loup, whose terrace commands a jaw-dropping view of Saint Paul de Vence, he gives free rein to his affinity for all things Mediterranean. The result is often an ode to seafood, steeped in subtle, delicate notes: seabass in an aubergine crust with garden veggies; Poupeton of courgette flowers with black truffles, but Tarn pigeon, foie gras and tender juicy beef also make guest star appearances." - Michelin Inspector

I would like to tell you about Hôtel Restaurant Alain Llorca, where we stayed in Saint-Paul-de-Vence the other day.||This place is truly like a peaceful corner hidden in nature. The hotel is located among lush green hills; you wake up to the sound of birds every morning, the calmness of the surroundings makes you take a deep breath.||The hotel was spotlessly clean, we were very impressed by both the spaciousness of the rooms and the tastefully furnished details. Spending time in the garden and being alone with nature was indescribable. At the same time, it was very easy to reach the city center and important points in the surrounding area. We reached everywhere in a short time with our vehicle.||But what made us happiest was the warmth and smiling faces of the staff. Everyone was so sincere and helpful that we did not feel like we were in a foreign place.||The food in the restaurant deserves a separate title. Alain Llorca's cuisine truly offers a feast of flavors.||If you are ever in this area, I definitely recommend it. It is a perfect address for those who want to both relax and reconnect with nature.

Best restaurant I have been to in many years. Food is local, French, fresh, and outstanding. I would go back today or tomorrow if the opportunity were there. Perfect setting for lunch with great service and a beautiful view. I did not stay at the hotel but I would not hesitate.

I adore the Hotel Alain Llorca! This is my second visit to this gorgeous hotel, and I hope to become a regular visitor. I was again greeted by Benoit, who had welcomed me my first visit to the hotel. He was again absolutely amazing-his customer service is truly outstanding. I can recognize excellent customer service, as I am in customer service with the airlines, and his attention to the customer is truly genuine. This was my husband’s first visit to the hotel, and he was so overwhelmed with the beauty of the hotel, and its landscape. It is absolutely a gorgeous property. The rooms are beautiful, and the huge tub is such a bonus! It is a great way to relax after traveling from the states. We sat on the terrace and had drinks with a beautiful view of St Paul de Vence. There is an amazing Michelin star restaurant, which I ate at the last visit. We can’t wait to return to eat at this amazing restaurant again. I truly am filled with gratitude to have found this gem of a hotel, with an amazing staff who make you feel so welcome and at home. I cannot wait to return!

So disappointing. Black mould in bathroom, shower hopelessnes, broken toilet window that could not be closed, broken floor tiles, some lights with no bulbs. When we complained they really couldn’t care less. Food disappointing as well. An expensive disaster.

The room was very unique, and we managed to get it for a very good price, at the end of March. The breakfast was very high quality but high price too. The service was high standard.

Lovely little hotel close to Saint Paul de Vence. Room big and very nice and good value for money. Great with a small grassed area outside as we were travelling with our 2 dogs. Lovely greeting and service.|But, although we had a nice stay - we felt it was a bit overpriced.|This hotel pride itself with a Michelin star restaurant and the food was very nice, but not Michelin class. We also felt the degustation meny priced at €175 was to much.|Breakfast €30 is also a bit over top, but the worse fee was €45/dog?! We have stayed in so many nice 4 & 5 stars hotels and have at the most been charged €25.

Hotel Alain Llorca is an absolutely amazing beautiful hotel right outside of the village of Saint-Paul De-Vence. I am so very grateful to have found this lovely property. From the moment I arrived I was warmly greeted by Benoit, whose customer service was outstanding. When he brought me to my room, I was overwhelmed by its beauty, and the view was beyond my expectations. I truly felt like I had died and gone to heaven. I then had dinner at their outstanding Michelin star restaurant, and the food and service was incredible. I cannot say enough about how outstanding the service was from Sylvia, Benoit, Claudia, Jasmine, and Sebastian, and all employees. They truly made you feel so welcome and at home. I cannot wait to return next year!

Yelp
We ate here on a tour. The views are magnificent and the servers were wonderful. The food was pretty good, but honestly I did expect better for a Michelin star restaurant. I did love the scallop appetizer and tomato tarts- seriously good. The chicken dish was alright. The dessert was good but heavy. Not sure if I'll ever return to this area, but I would recommend trying it and taking in the beautiful views.

Yelp
BEWARE! I got violently ill from undercooked chicken! Came here on the second day of my 5 day trip and spent the last 3 days in my hotel room VERY SICK! The chicken was cooked and served with sauce and veggies and I was unable to be see that it wasn't cooked thoroughly. I was so excited to visit Monaco for the first time and this ruined my entire trip. This quality of restaurant should know better than to serve undercooked chicken.

Yelp
Unfortunately we were disappointed in the food here. Overall, I would give the food 3.5 stars and the service 3 stars. The zucchini blossom was delicious and my favorite dish. Very earthy and tasty. The sweetbreads were just ok. I've made them myself and they were better so I expected more. For the main dish, the chef made a vegetarian risotto, which is not on the menu. It was a large portion size and very flavorful. I would order it again. The other main dish ordered was the steak served with mashed potatoes. The steak was not cooked to the right temperature. In fact, it was quite rare (not medium like ordered). That's fine if the chef wants to cook it to a certain temperature but then again, why ask a preference? The mashed potatoes were quite gooey and frankly inedible. For dessert, a chocolate mouse was ordered for the table but was so rich that only 2 bites could be had. It was worth ordering but I highly recommend splitting dessert. Aside from the food being disappointing, the service was quite bad. There were too many people with too many tasks and it came across as unorganized. I sat for 20 minutes waiting for my wine to be poured. Then when I finally went to pour it myself, the woman rushed over to try and take bottle from me. Sorry madam, a little late. This meal was not at all worth $400. There are much better restaurants in this town. I hear the view is great but it was enclosed that night and again, I'm not sure it is a $400 view.

Yelp
What an incredible experience! I brought a group of 70 people to this restaurant and every single person loved it! The menu was fabulous, service incredible, fresh ingredients, the bread was unreal and the portions were perfect! The owner is renowned chef, his wife the manager takes huge pride in their restaurant and rightfully so, the restaurant is so beautiful I just can't say enough! I would highly recommend when in France to go to Alain Llorca
