Where Can I Wear Opera Gloves & Eat Steak-Frites? - Paris - The Infatuation

"While this place won’t exactly inspire you to don your finest gown, it still captures Old World refinement. It’s the oldest steakhouse in Paris, with a ’30s-era dining room still lined with golden hat racks and Art Déco light fixtures. Giant portraits of shaggy cows confirm that the French are as comfy as ever with knowing the source of their beef, here served as red and rare as the velvet chairs. Choose from twelve cuts of dry-aged French beef, including a 300-gram entrecôte or 1.2-kilo beef rib for two, displayed whole like the gem it is before being expertly sliced and served with puffed potatoes. Don’t miss the pepper sauce, which doesn’t hide the spice behind layers of heavy cream." - emily monaco

Did not stay at the hotel, just visited the restaurant. Food is good, the french onion soup was terrific, with concentrated broth, so was the hanger steak. You should go for rare (saignant). Fries were oily, crepes suzette was good, although the waitress who prepared it, could have let the sugar caramelize a bit more. Absolutely recommend, supposed to be some of the best beef in Paris, told by a parisian old lady, while I was outside, looking at the menu. Meat had good flavor, and it was cooked perfectly.

Such a fantastic place to stay! Beautiful, well-appointed room in a very convenient area. The room was very well sound-proofed and clearly had been very recently renovated. It was extremely comfortable. The staff were so accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and generous. The area was extremely convenient with Parc de la Villette and Parc des Buttes Charmont in walking distance and many tasty restaurants nearby, including the one attached to the hotel. Thank you!

This is a very lovely place. It is indeed far from the usual tourist attractions (and the crowd), the hotel entrance is immediately next to a subway station. What I liked the most is the food and the authentic urban environment with real people, cool little shops and a great variety of eateries.

Hotel was in okay part of France in terms of safety. There are definitely safer areas. But right next to metro so very convenient access but a bit far away from activities in the center of paris. Large room with air conditioning. Restaurant tasted good. Prices were solid for amount, and the set combos seemed like good deal. English menus available.

Very quiet and beautiful hotel in a less touristy area. Stayed there with two children for four nights and we all enjoyed it very much. The service was great, the breakfast was fantastic, and the metro connection right outside the door is excellent. We'd love to come back, it's a shame it's already over - mille mercis!

Google
Hotel was a good size, clean, and modern. Good value for money. The only downside is that it is about a 20+ minute metro ride to most of the tourist attractions. Saying that, the metro exit is right where the hotel is located, so it was very convenient!

We stayed here for 4 nights during our visit to Paris. Very friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. There is a subway station very close by from which you can pretty much go anywhere. I provided some constructive feedback regarding the doors that were connecting the two rooms we booked and the feedback was very well received. Enjoy your stay in Paris!

Walked into an empty restaurant and the hostess tried to give us a table located between the kitchen entrance and the toilet. We asked for a different table and she got visibly angry. Appetizers were fine but their most expensive meats felt like rubber and were inedible.
