"A few metres from the Swiss border, this Franche-Comté farmhouse built out of stone and old wood exudes serenity, just like its elegant guestrooms appointed in chalet style. On the menu, modern cuisine that highlights often regional produce, like lemon cream with beetroot-marinated trout gravadlax, or filet of beef, red wine reduction and celeriac puree." - Michelin Inspector

I stayed three days at Le Tillau during acorporate off site seminar. The hotel and restaurant have incredible charm and authenticity. They retain the good looks of the mountain chalet with all the modern comforts you could want. The staff is amazingly attentive, friendly, and hard-working. Not once did I wait around for anything I needed. They preempted every wish I could have. The food is very high-quality and freshness. All the dishes were cooked to order made from fresh and simple ingredients. Needless to mention the cheese and the wines that come from the region. The hotel is located in an idyllic, quiet and natural setting with pastures and forest surrounding. A good base for relaxing or more active, hiking and biking. Five stars and highly recommended.

This hotel/restaurant gets everything right for a few days away. Beautifully designed interior, with all furniture crafted from natural wood. Restaurant was excellent - the kid's menu was a nice touch - our daughter's meals were served with the same attention to detail as ours. A very special mention goes to the staff, who were at the same time attentive yet warm and unpretentious. Well worth a long weekend.

We first visited Le Tillau for lunch some years ago, and when looking for a place to spend a stress free Christmas with family and friends, I thought we’d return. What a surprise awaited us! It had been completely refurbished less than 2 years ago! Beautiful wooden interior, quite modern but with so many tasteful rustic touches. The floors, ceiling, walls were top class, lovely pictures, wood carvings, cast iron lamps and other decorations adorned the lobby, dining room and staircases. We all had very nice rooms, but management put my husband and I in room 105 (I was the contact person for our group). It was fabulous! An extremely high-tech bathroom with switches that regulated the sink and shower taps as well as all the lights. The bedding was all top quality and so comfortable the view out over the snowy fields across to the forest beyond was very peaceful too. ||We ate Christmas dinner in the restaurant, which was excellent as well, and had pre-dinner and post dinner drinks in the bar area, which has big stuffed leather chairs and a fireplace. ||As for the staff, everyone was tremendous, from the very personable efficient manager at check-in to the knowledge wait staff in the restaurant & bar. ||Le Tillau is really off the beaten track in the middle of nowhere and it was the perfect place for us to spend Christmas.||We shall definitely return!

The hotel is located on a top of a hill, between the Swiss and French border. The hotel itself and the rooms are amazingly decorated, chalet style, but all elements fit together, wood carved lamps, stone shower place, etc. The rooms look like the photo's. Staff was very friendly and made my stay a very welcome one. Next time Jura, I stay here again. The restaurant was amazing as well. The food was incredible.

Beautiful hotel that used to be a farmhouse--all in wood inside. Great location for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, with super knowledgeable and nice guides to take you on tours. And fantastic sauna for when you come back from your outdoors activities. Excellent restaurant. A remarkable place all around.

I visited the hotel in July for a work seminar and all attendees really enjoyed their 2-night stay. The restaurant was incredible, with very novel dishes and perfectly matching wines to complete the experience. The rooms very spacious and cute, with great wifi too, rounding-off a great blend of new technologies with traditional architecture. A real boutique experience.

My wife and I just spent two nights at this new deluxe hideaway in an unspoiled corner of the Jura, between Pontarlier (F) and Fleurier (CH). The restoration of this old farm has been done with local skills in wood and stone, yet with many ultra-modern features like the lighting and bathroom controls. The huge garden terrace is set in fields, perfect for apéritifs, breakfast - or even a sauna in winter. The young staff team gave us perfect service and a light-hearted ambience. Also the cuisine is excellent and the wine cellar is extensive. We took the "chef's surprise menu" both evenings and discovered several original wines proposed as accompaniments.||||There are beautiful hiking trails and serious ski de fond pistes in winter. Overall this place is a real delight. But book early as they are getting to be known nowadays.

A great moment in a peaceful place. Meals were delicious with an original taste, in perfect contrast with Jura mountains.||The personal was also adorable with good advice to mix wine and meals.||A highly recommended table.
