"In fine weather, sit out on the pleasant terrace in the park, on the banks of the Vègre, and treat yourself to one of the chef's gourmet dishes. Try roast langoustines with white asparagus or duckling Parmentier. If you wish to extend your stay in this plush coaching inn, there are pleasant guestrooms and bistro - style meals in the Table du Coq." - Michelin Inspector

We visited this hotel on June - our second visit, this time with friends. Little had changed. The staff were as friendly and helpful as ever and we had the same lovely room overlooking the garden. However the highlight of our two day visit was the exceptional dinner we had on our second evening- one of the best we have had in all our visits to France. Yes it is fairly expensive but well worth the money. We also ate in the bistro next door and that was good too. Loue is a lovely town with two very good boulangerie and we enjoyed a trip to the village of Asnières sur vegre nearby.

We loved this hotel. Although is it an older building it has charm and character, with a beautiful garden and a swimming pool. The main dining room is wonderful and the food and service were absolutely first class; as good as any top London hotel.

Just don’t think twice: make the trip from Le Mans. We spent 3 days there for our family event. The owner and his team honore the French hospitality and cuisine as it should be. Honestly, the food is just amazing, a cocktail of savoir-faire and flavors. The rooms are very comfortable, nicely decorated. Very quiet. The only remark about the rooms is the bathtub in some of the rooms which be a challenge for older people because of its side height. The garden is a heaven. With a nice swimming pool and pool room with towels, shower. Highly recommended. And I hope we will have the chance to come back.

Lovely traditional hotel In beautiful area of France. The room was comfortable and very clean. The hotel building is interesting and full of character. This is not an identikit modern travel hotel. The grounds are extensive and impressively maintained with a pond and a river to walk/sit by. The pool is convenient and great for hot weather. |The gastronomic restaurant was great with excellent food and wine. What more could you want? Would definitely return.

A charming hotel. We stopped en route from the UK Midlands that morning. Loué is a small village but well-kept and has that feel of pride in its public places that UK villages so often lack. The hotel has a fine-dining restaurant but that was closed on our Tuesday and we ate in the bistro next door (through a connecting internal door). The charming dining room overlooks the terrace and garden and is where breakfast is served.|The owners and staff are all pleasant and relaxed. The dinner at the bistro was in the small courtyard (there is an inside room and bar as well) with perhaps 10 tables. The menu isn’t huge but the quality was high. Goats cheese salad, chicken (for which Loué is well-known) supreme and clafoutis, washed down with a local Bergerac red. A poor start to our travel day (a lorry fire on the M40 delaying us by 90 minutes and our tunnel crossing by nearly 3 hours) was immediately redeemed by a perfectly French evening.|The room was comfortable, with a good bathroom and linen.

M Deschamps and staff were excellent throughout the stay. The gardens and hotel were very attractive and the rooms were spacious and comfortable.|The restaurant was busy and provided a delightful meal including local specialities. Excellent wine list with reasonable prices.|Breakfast was plentiful and fresh.|All together highly recommended.

The hotel is a lovely size with a warm and welcoming staff. Our room was great, with a decoration that was fun without being too imposing. We spent time in the bar playing games and said hello to the goats in the lovely grounds.
