Great atmosphere with a tropical retro feel. Nice small bite selections. The skewers are definitely the way to go. They have St. George gun as well as other premium liquor selections so you're sure to be able to get your quality cocktail. Perfect for two and also they have space to support a big group. Come early if you're a big group or call ahead.

The location is nice - central to financial district but yet tucked away in a little lane way. We came for a group event and it was hosted in their downstairs area. We had a special cocktail and wine menu for the event. The cocktail I tried tasted very weak but I’m sure the wines were ok.

Came to this bar for the first time with my coworkers. The top floor was packed,but we were able to get seats down below. The selection of drinks and cocktails was great, so I was excited to try them out. The bartenders there really know how to make amazing drinks, also the happy hour prices were very reasonable for the quality of the cocktail. I highly recommend checking this bar out!

Funky and fun 80s themed bar with lots of neon. Think palm trees meet Transamerica building vibes. Above par food menu for a small bar. Lots of original cocktails, new mixes, and non-alcoholic selections.

We had our holiday party here. The place is unique, the food was good and the staff friendly and helpful. The bathroom area decor was interesting.

What a hidden gem tucked away in this lonely street. Inside the place pops with a rich and varied aesthetic, delicious food and cocktails, and cool but attentive service. We had the tempura pickled vegetables, lamb and pork sausage, lobster roll and fried chicken sandwich and all were very tasty creations in their own right. Our cocktails were well crafted, and our server seemed to manage a couple dozen patrons with ease and a smile, without ever writing a thing down.

Loved it! Great vibe and amazing liquor selection. They have Mezcal in their well!

This place is packed with young professionals after work hours. Built for the ladies, this bar is certainly lively with no shortage of that. HH is 4-6pm with bar bite menu mostly finger food and shareable. Skull and rose adorned the walls with some areas slightly dim. Strong cocktail and friendly bartender will make this a sought after place. You can rent the place to host your own party. See host for more details...

One of my favorite bars in the city hands down. This modern tropical oasis is tucked away on Commercial St, but not too hard to find if you're looking. The drinks here are great, namely the craft cocktails. I've tried their Old Fashioned and their Marley Rio. The Old Fashioned was strong (which was good) and came with a second serving in a small potion-like bottle. Basically a 2-for-1 deal. Kinda like the extra serving you get at a diner with your milkshake, but better :) The Marley Rio was a rum-based cocktail, which I really enjoyed. Hot tip: Check their website for their current cocktails since they have a seasonal menu. They also have a great food menu with some notable items. The last time I went I tried the yuzu yosho chicken skewers, roasted brussels, cauliflower, and marinated olives. Everything was good, but the chicken skewers were the best. It was also happy hour so my drink and the food had a $2 discount. Definitely the kind of spot you need a reservation for though because it is popular.

Third and final stop during my night out with the boys. We walked into Hotel San Francisco on Friday, May 25th around 9:30pm. My party of three ended up seated at a table. (Note: I don't think this place is connected to a hotel in any way. I believe it's just a play on the song Hotel California?) *Manhattan: evan williams bourbon, antica formula, fernet branca ($14) *Negroni: blue coat gin, cardamaro, punt e mes vermouth, campari ($14) *Sazerac: rittenhouse rye, herbsaint, smoked demerara, peychaud's bitters ($14) *Jameson ($8) x3 By then, I'd had a fair amount to drink, so I have no idea why we got a shot and cocktail each, but I have a feeling it might have been my idea. The more alcohol, the merrier, right? Out of the three things we ordered, I'm pretty sure I wanted the manhattan. I don't think it was up my alley as it had fernet in it. I didn't notice until after we got the drinks, but I'm not a huge fernet girl. It has a weird medicinal / herbally flavor I don't like. Price wise, the drinks here are great! With each cocktail, you get a sidecar of sorts in the form of a partly filled bottle. So you really do get a good amount of cocktail. From recollection, the atmosphere here is kinda dark, swanky, and a throwback to the 80s. There's a lot of black (or some dark color), so that adds to the sleekness of the space. I kind of recall neon looking signs which is why I said it's a bit of a throwback. I don't remember much else except for the front being very open as you can easily look into the bar. I think it was relatively slow that night, so very chill and laid back. We were able to catch up for the three hours we were here. Fun new spot. I adore checking out new bars. If in the area, it's worth a stop. Especially for their cocktails. Such a great deal!

It's crowded for good reason - Hotel San Francisco is a hot new spot for happy hour in the FiDi. Taking over Mercedes Hair of the dog, the Aussie owners have turned this into an eclectic spot for post-work cocktails and bites. And by eclectic I refer to the tropical thunder-themed bar, glam rock interiors, and psychedelic cinco-de-mayo bathrooms. Somehow it all works. Like the tasty cocktails and food. Classics like a negroni or vesper are served in a glass bottle with a silhouette of the Transamerica building on them. Really fun. Food menu focuses on plates to share like pickled vegetable tempura, sliders, and lamb pitas. The food is actually really tasty too. The only downside is that it's now a popular spot especially at happy hour so it's really crowded. Finding a spot can be tough plus it gets pretty lively (borderline "can't hear you" loud). Alternatively you can book a section of the place for large parties. A good suggestion I might add for office gatherings.

Okay, what? This is Australian launched and owned? Super cute HH spot in the city. Definite fun city vibes for larger groups or smaller groups. We came here with a party of two on a random night in the middle of the week. They were still packed. Good on them for opening up a super cutes spot in between Chinatown and FiDi. The drinks are excellent. They fit the vibes. Mm mm yummy dranks. There's also a HH food menu that we opted out of since we both had following dinner plans. Would certainly return if in the area again and wanted to do a fun night out. Would I go out of the way for it? Probably not. 4 stars

Came here for drinks after work one day to check out their Mani Monday. YES you can get a free manicure with a drink purchase (can even be a happy hour drink) between 5-8 pm every Monday. I was super excited when my friend told me about it and ended up coming that very day. We arrived around 5:40 and it wasn't too full. We asked about the Mani Monday special, and once we ordered our drinks, the server asked for our names to add to the mani waiting list. There were two people doing nails (from Quince Spa/The Nail Room). My friend and I waited about an hour before it was our turn, which isn't too bad. While we waited, we slowly sipped our respective drinks. There's a happy hour menu, but I didn't like any of the drink specials, so I opted for the Prince Steel ($13), which is a gorgeous drink with Rittenhouse rye, meyer lemon, vanilla shrub, fresh thyme, and Lambrusco red wine. It was a sweeter drink but still pretty strong. My friend ordered another pretty drink (Lil' J. Foxglove), which was another sweet cocktail. Neither of us were hungry so we didn't order any small bites. The two girls doing the nails were very fast and professional. They have a good variety of colors for you to choose from, all of which are fairly quick drying so you don't have to worry too much about messing up your nails afterwards. I would recommend staying at the bar for a little bit longer after the manicure, just so it has time to fully dry. Overall, it was a great time and I would totally do it again!

I wasn't planning on having drinks but I happily gave in at this cute bar! Don't let the name fool you because this is no hotel. Now I'm wondering why they named it hotel San Francisco when this isn't a hotel... Anyways this is a super cute spot for happy hour after work! The food wasn't amazing as my sandwich was a bit dry and could use some sort of sauce, but I'd totally come back for drinks.

I'll be honest and say that I reaaaally wanted to like Hotel San Francisco after hearing about it from a friend/seeing the interior, but I left my first visit feeling a little underwhelmed. Hotel San Francisco has a prime spot in Fidi and located on Commercial it's in a small alley that's farther away from the general traffic. The interior has a very beachy vibe with the neon lights and awesome wallpaper. I came around 6PM on a Thursday and it was packed so I recommend making a reservation via Yelp if you come with a larger group. Bar seating seems first come, first-serve but don't take that chance. So why the 3 stars? I gotta give the rating primarily based on the service received this first visit. However, let's talk food first - David N and I split the cauliflower bites ($8) and chicken sandwich ($19) both of which were tasty but did the price justify the meal we received? Probs not. The menu is pretty simple split into small bites, salads, and main entrees (with fries) but overall the menu didn't have anything crazy that would be representative of this place. As for the service - we were seated pretty quickly due to the reservation but it took an additional 15-20 mins to have someone come to our table and take our orders. Initially a waitress came to take my drink order and then after 15 mins I had to ask another server & even the manager came to the table to check on it and sadly the drink I wanted to order could not be made since they ran out of Pimms. All good with that but it took an unusually long amount of time to hear about this update and the waitress came back to check if we wanted to order any drinks/food (which was odd since she took it). After finding that out it took around another 15 or so minutes for them to take our food order. Totally get the wait during the main rush but even after it died down it didn't seem like service improved. I'm a big stickler for service so sad that this aspect didn't live up to the expectations I had walking in. All in all, the service received & prices didn't really wow me this first visit. Will I come back? Ehh maybe, but I'm probably going to check out some other new spots before doing so.

They changed their cocktail menu so this time I went for a spicy tequila drink (forgot the name I think it started with toi?). Super yummy and well balanced!!!! Love this place. Great drinks

Cool place Located only a few blocks from Chinatown. The inside of the place is pretty nice with cool art painted all over the walls. Good place to come with a group of friends. This pace got a good section of tequilas. Our bartender was great help us with the drink menu. The drink I had here was the Spanky Calaveras which is a spicy mixed tequila drink, pretty good drink for the cold weather here in the city. If your ever in this area come check this place out.

Hotel San Francisco is the newest lively bar in the FiDi district. Less than a month after the news of the longtime 24-year Mexican restaurant Mercedes, Hotel San Francisco is the new Hot Business in town. Despite its name, this sexy bar has no overnight accommodations, but is offering a gorgeous instagramical view inside. This lovely, sassy bar is inspired by the Eagle's 1976 musical song, "Hotel California". You will not only find the décor matching the theme song, but the lyrics will be inscribed in neon on the bathroom walls. Behind the bar, you will find the name featuring the mural of palm leaves with its velvet and brass stools. Hotel San Francisco is also serving food and offering an all-day bar menu with food servings to share. Some of the food items from the Happy Hour menu include Confit duck crostini with ricotta and mostarda for $9, Grilled Chicken-$10, and Crispy Kennebec Potatoes-$10. We can thank the amazing Keven Wilson from Michael Mina for the unique and delicious food items. The cocktail menu is fancy, if I may say the least. Hotel San Francisco is lucky to have Jonny Cimone (formerly of Farmer Brown), who created a menu which features barrel-aged house cocktails. They also serve an awesome Happy Hour Monday-Friday 3PM-6PM. Some of the items from the HH menu include: * Spanky Calaveras- $10 * Aged Old Fashioned-$10 * Today's Wine Pour-$8 * All Beers-$2 off Hotel San Francisco is definitely putting a little twist to the FiDi district. A nice spot hidden in an alleyway by the Transamerica Building and.. this isn't actually a hotel - wait what. Yup, it's a bar lounge with Hotel California vibes. There's neon signs with phrases from the song in the restroom area and on the menus. I love the neon signage of their name against a beautiful leafy mural wallpaper. My friend and I dropped in right as happy hour was ending, and boy was it packed. You can reserve tables ahead of time if you know you're going to be stopping by. There weren't any available seats when we got here, but we were able to snag a couple of spots by the bar later on. We both decided to get some beers. They came poured in a glass along with the bottle with the rest that we could pour ourselves. My friend and I liked the cider she got and my stout wasn't too shabby. There was a small mistake with the charges on our cards and it took a while to get it all figured out, but we appreciated that the staff that took care of us was friendly and patient. So our server charged us full price for the beers instead of the happy hour price, so we had to get that fixed. Then, one of our cards got charged for both of the drinks and it was all a big mix up. What was nice was that he gave us complimentary drink cards for our next visit. Always a nice gesture! Our second visit was past happy hour, but it was still crowded. It was quite loud here and we were practically yelling at one point. The host was friendly and was able to find us a table with a short wait. Our server was very friendly as well! I think she was too busy running around with orders and may have forgot about us, but she decided on her own to give us some sunchoked chips on the house for the wait. Another nice gesture! We ordered the crispy kennebec potatoes ($10) to share. The first time we came here, the fries looked so good! We thought these potatoes would be the fries we saw, but they turned out to be potato wedges. They were very crispy! The seasoning was nice but way too salty at the end. Would love to try the fries, but they're not on the menu anymore! For my cocktail, I ordered the Sheba St. Jude: St. George Gin, Pear Cider, Thai Chili Shrub, Pear Brandy, Matcha Green Tea, and Lemon ($13). This one came with that Thai chili shrub and it had a spicy kick to it! Didn't really taste the matcha though. I would like to come back to try the negroni or old fashioned, as they come with the neat bottle! The yuzu chicken skewers also sound yummy.

I can really appreciate what the team at Hotel SF have put together. Thank you Yelp for putting this on the map! I was en route for happy hour at Hog Island Oyster to later find out they were closed for a company event. I scramble to Yelp for plan b(ookmarks). Hotel SF happy hour was the alternative. I was already drawn in by the $10 Old Fashioned so things were looking good. Arrived shortly at Hotel SF and was greeted and quickly seated. Right off the bat the service was super friendly and almost had a family feel to it. Checked out their menu and there was a sweet selection of cocktails and bar eats; definitely makes for a superb happy hour spot. I had the old fashioned (was really good), chicken yakitori, tempura, and duck confit, all of which were surprisingly really good. Hotel SF does have a cool small business feel to it but they are super professional. Hoping that their quality is sustainable as they will undoubtedly become more and more popular.

Pre COVID19 I went to Hotel San Francisco before hitting up a comedy show nearby and I gotta say, this place had good vibes and a nice understated scene. We were there for happy hour and the food/beverage list was really great. I wasn't in love with the food (fried chicken) but, the cocktails were really nice and the bartenders were super friendly. That said, we ended up staying for a few and making some new friends to the left and right of us. Remember those days? When you could chat with other people at establishments in public...sigh. Anyway, a great little FiDi hang for happy hour if you live/work in the area.

This place is pretty bad. The service sucks, the owners seem to be real jerks with how they handle their staff, especially the smelly Australian running around like a drunk monkey acting creepy with every girl in the bar. The food & drinks on yelp looked great. The food & drinks we actually received were horrible. There was no consistency with the drinks as different bartenders were making them different ways and unfortunately they were all bad. The seasonal menu I'd heard so much about was non-existent and everyone seemed to just be getting vodka sodas. Boring. The food was uninspired and also boring. Where was all the creativity that seemed to be in the pics and reviews before? Has something changed recently? Maybe the opening staff left? That seems to be the case when places go from good to crap so quickly. I'd suggest you stay away and choose one of SF's many other great places. This spot will be done within a year.

Let me start with how amazing the staff treats patrons here. My first time ever here! Place just full and Alisha finds me a seat at the bar and gets me a seat. I did not expect that. Next the bartender spoke to me and discussed what I feel like and I felt a little cheap but wanted to feel refreshed..so he says 'Spanky Calaveras'. It is a tequila drink but tastes like a well made speakeasy cocktail at a more pretentious and unwanted bar which this definitely is not and only $10. Then lastly Alisha offered me a great seat with a table and really made me realize..I have to come back and bring my co-workers and friends. Come and enjoy! You won't regret!

Despite the name, Hotel San Francisco is not a hotel. It's a cute little bar hidden away on commercial street. Lovely decor inside and the cocktails are delicious. The menu also has a small selection of appetizers, but I heard they serve bombass burgers during lunch. Great service as well! Definitely an up and coming spot to look out for!

This place is perfect for happy hour on a weeknight. The place is a little hard to find, but it's in FiDi, and has funky decor. It's also pretty crowded, but there's plenty of places to sit. The drinks were tasty! The drinks are tastier than the food, as it's mostly bar food. The fried potatoes are bomb!

I came here for the first time with co workers last night for happy hour and it was chill atmosphere to listen to some dope music and have a conversation without having to yell over the speaker. Their appetizers were pretty good and so were their drinks that hit the spot. I also heard about Mani Monday while I was there so I'm thinking about checking that next time I'm there. Nice hidden gem in the financial district!

I was surprised at how packed it was on a Tuesday at 5:00. Plan ahead and make a reservation. I'd imagine that this place will make the list for "most instagrammable place in SF" but also note that the HH menu and service were excellent. If you order an old fashioned, the presentation is everything complete with a decanter etched with the Transamerica Pyramid. Thank you to Tom and staff for a successful HH. Tip for "Such a lovely face" selfie: Take it from inside the bathroom stall to get the full frame. Priorities.

Very quaint and Instagram worthy spot. The neon signs, the big murals and colored lighting makes this place a very "hipster" place to go to. The place is small so if you're not here early, you'll be waiting for any kind of seat. The bartender was attentive and patient. The food was alright, small portions for a steep price (duh, its SF). The most impressive thing was how quickly the hostess was able to itemize everyone's check (there was 10 of us, at least). It's a great place for a quick drink. It gets loud as the sunsets. I'd come here again and would recommend this place to anyone asking.

Such an adorable bar!! This bar is a millennial and influencer's dream--everything is so aesthetically pleasing from the interior decor to the beautiful drinks and yummy snacks. Would recommend the manicure Monday's, for sure! Otherwise, it's a great place for happy hour after work or to bring friends to or a date.

Hotel San Francisco is a vibey new cocktail bar in FiDi, and as the name alludes, a musically inspired space with lyrics to Hotel California on the walls, and neon lights. It has this glam rock interior that is ultra cool! The place was fairly packed on a Thursday evening, despite it being new, so I can already tell it will be a popular place for the post-work crowd. That said, we managed to get a seat at the bar. On to the cocktails! (The only bit I tried, but definitely want to come and try the grub). I found the menu to be quite sparse, and with less inventive cocktails than the aura of the place would have me expect. I decided to place my bets and order the Old Fashioned. The presentation of this drink is just exquisite! It comes in your typical short glass, but there is a refill pour on the side in a beautiful glass flask almost (see picture!). As for the drink itself, I found it to be just okay - it wasn't the most balanced old fashioned I've had (too spirit forward). My friend ordered the Prince Steel, which I tried and found to be too citrusy. So overall, I wasn't wowed by the drinks. I think it leaves room for this self-touted cocktail bar to improve, at which point, I would update my rating. All in all, come for the great interiors/decor and vibe and not necessarily for the just okay drinks. :)

Checked out HotelSF for Mani Monday with a couple of my gal coworkers. We got there at 5:15pm and there was already a waiting list for the manicures. The explanation of the mani-monday promo was a little confusing. I guess previously it was any drink on the HH menu comes with free manicure. But now it's a drink + manicure for $20. So basically you can order any drink from the menu that's $14 or less and the mani will be $6. I can't remember the exact drink I ordered but it had ginger beer and basically tasted like kombucha. The gals ordered the cucumber mint drink and liked it. We all agreed that our drinks tasted like juice and not enough alcohol. But that's okay..because who needs to get drunk on a Monday? We sipped on the drinks and waited for our turn for the mani to be called. Each mani took about 15-20 minutes and I thought the manicurists did a pretty good job. It was a cut, clean, and color. They had a nice color selection and took their time with each person. The bar had a good selection of small plates on the HH menu and I would probably try some next time. Overally $20 for a drink and mani? It's definitely going to be a monthly thing now! TLDR; Great ambiance. Nice interior and good drinks. $20 for drinks + manicures on Monday. Would come back again!

Great after work HH spot! Love the vibe inside, they were playing 80s throwbacks and the staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. It does get really crowded, so better to beat the post work rush if you can. They have a bar downstairs as well, which helps it feel less crowded.

Great new bar in Chinatown area! Hip ambiance, cool crowd, excellent choices of drinks. The bar setting is beautiful. The menu design is quite outdated, though.

Cute little bar in the alleyway of Commercial street! I came here on a Thursday after work with some colleagues and from the time I walked in, to the time I left - steady increase of people walking in. Decided on the $10 Old Fashioned - pretty good deal considering it comes with a little extra on the side. I felt like an alcoholic when I opened the cork to pour more into my cup haha. For food, we ordered the potatoes and veggie tempura. Pretty good shareable portions for your table. The sauce for the veggie tempura is delicious - no idea what it was but so good. I heard they also have Mani Mondays (you buy a drink and get a free manicure)! OMG just because of this, I will be back on a Monday. This is definitely a good spot for an after work drink. Just be wary that it can get pretty loud. I had a hard time holding a conversation with the people I was with because it was really hard to hear each other. But this is expected at any good bar in FiDi at around 5:30 on a Thursday. I will be back and try some drinks from their actual menu. My friend got a peach drink that looked pretty tasty.

I brought my dear friend to Hotel San Francisco for her birthday. The main area is LOUD, just a heads up. We wanted a bit more of an intimate environment to catch up and celebrate, so we headed downstairs, where it was a bit quieter. The person working the bar (where you can also order food off the same menu as the main area!) was super friendly and made sure the birthday girl was taken care of! We ordered a pizza and the tuna tartare, which was a perfect amount for two very hungry people having their first meal at 6pm. The drinks we ordered were strong, which is always fun.

This is our bad for not checking before we left, but the service was slow and spotty so we kind of wanted to get out of there ASAP. But now I've noticed we got charged prawn pizza when they told us they were out of it (subbed for the pineapple which was fine), and we have an extra set of fries on here but it was only because they missed the fries when serving us our apps. This morning all of us had upset stomachs and we can't figure out what it was that we ordered, but my guess is the duck. This was kind of disappointing.

This place is too cute to not walk into for a drink when you pass it! They even have food options here which is always great when you are out and hopping from bar to bar. Their drinks are good on the eyes when they come out and taste great. I particularly love their gin and tonics. The last time I was there I tried their Jamaican gin and tonic which has a jalapeño kick and leaves your lips tingling if you are into that. Definitely a great little spot to take someone out of town to!

I've only been working in this part of town for a few months. When I suggested Hotel San Francisco for a happy hour with coworkers, they all lamented the loss of Mercedes, which used to be at this location. I had never been and didn't know what it was like but I do know that Hotel San Francisco is trying to be a tropical hip spot in the middle of FiDi. It was a cold evening and the weather outside didn't quite match the warm decor inside. We had stopped by for happy hour and there was only one bartender working the entire space. No one took our order for a very long time. The drinks are fun and take a while to make so I would not recommend coming here with big group because of the long wait. I had the Lola Colinas with mezcal, huckleberry shrub, mint, ginger beer, Pimm's, and lime. I was pretty sure it was going to be a winner since I love ginger beer, lime, mint, and Pimm's. And it was very good. The 4 of us all got different drinks and while we liked them, I don't think I would suggest Hotel San Francisco again for happy hour.

Came here for the first time the other day for cocktails. It wasn't too busy which was great. I got the Lola Colina and was tasty. I tried the herbivore (I think that was the name) as well and loved it. The cocktail list is short and would have liked more options. The decor and atmosphere was nice and it was easy to walk to from downtown. I had French fries as an appetizer with friends and they were nice and crisp. We didn't try anything else. I'd come back but didn't seem like anything special when SF has so many great cocktail bars.

Keep searching folks, nothing to see here. I wanted to leave an updated review after coming back once more after work to check out their newer downstairs area. Why I let my friends talk me into coming back here is beyond me but it won't happen again. The cocktails are pricier than ever and nearly undrinkable. I'd suggest starting over with an entire new bar staff and try again. Like seriously, start from square one and bring in some people that know how to make something worth spending money on. These taste like a novice is experimenting and we're all the guinea pigs. The food was better last year. It's taken a downward turn as well. The new downstairs area is a complete eye sore and should never have been made into a place for public viewing. It looks rushed and unfinished and the service is even worse than upstairs. The whole place smells like a trash dump and the managers all seem clueless and in the weeds all the time. Maybe something like this passes as decent in Australia but in the SF Bay Area you have to do much better. Go to one of the many other awesome cocktail bars in this city and forget you ever heard of this place.

This place is in the heart of Chinatown and pretty low-key but I loved their vibe and decor. It's pretty small and looks like a hangout for people who works nearby to enjoy happy hour. It was my first time here and we went on a Wednesday for Happy Hour to celebrate our team's Christmas celebration. We came in exactly 3 pm and noone was still around since they just opened. Then when we left almost 530 they were already packed. Good thing we came in early because we got a perfect spot in the back. More space and more comfortable in order for us to be able to do our exchange gifts and mini-game to make it more fun. Their menu is pretty small but everything that we ordered is really, really good! I love the name and the concept that I want to give 4 stars at least. It has so much potential. I hope they can sustain the food quality. However, one major thing that turned me off is the restroom. This is really important for me whenever I go to public restrooms. To check if it's really clean and well- supplied. There was no toilet seat cover, not refilled, and Paper towel is out! Secondly, I noticed the bartenders are not friendly or not even smiling. Service can still be improved. I would still go back here to try one more time though.

This bar is great if you're looking to host a small event like a birthday party on the weekend because it doesn't get crowded. I've heard it's actually more popular for happy hour on the weekdays which makes it a great place if you have a large group on the weekend. My friend had his birthday party here and basically took over the back half of the bar. We had plenty of space and were able to stay out of the way from all the other guests. They have great cocktails but the best part is the food. My friend arranged tons of finger food for us including tuna poke, fried chicken sliders, burrata salad, and grilled shrimp. My favorites were the grilled shrimp and fried chicken slider. The shrimp was packed with flavor and I couldn't stop eating them. The fried chicken was super juicy and the perfect size for finger food. I would definitely come back here for the food. I also loved the vibe and décor. It was kind of a modern eclectic look. Service was great too. They kept the food coming all night and were pretty quick with serving drinks.

What a hidden gem tucked away in this lonely street. Inside the place pops with a rich and varied aesthetic, delicious food and cocktails, and cool but attentive service. We had the tempura pickled vegetables, lamb and pork sausage, lobster roll and fried chicken sandwich and all were very tasty creations in their own right. Our cocktails were well crafted, and our server seemed to manage a couple dozen patrons with ease and a smile, without ever writing a thing down.

I went here on a Thursday evening (around 10pm) and based on other reviews I should definitely make a reservation. Well it definitely wasn't need, the place was completely empty so keep that in mind especially for weekday evenings! Where this bar is I can totally see it being super packed and busy for happy hour since it's in Financial District. My boyfriend and I just stayed for a drink. I can see how the wall paper and the neon signs can be appealing and was the main reason I came here tbh, but it all just seemed rushed. However like I said, I came for a drink and I will say that the drink was good! Prices are on market for SF ($12-$14) so I would come again especially for HH with coworkers with a reservation :)

Love this place for HH! They have the cutest little neon signs all over. Drinks are good and affordable, bartenders are nice, and place is cute - what more can you ask for?

It's more a place for drinks than dinner I will say we had a very good experience with the staff and price are correct Also great selection of none alcoholic cocktails

Hotel San Francisco is a beautiful spot for drinks and bars food! The tropical vibes are something else! The drinks are quality and reasonable price! The crowd is diverse! Oh and Don't miss the DownUnder lounge downstairs!

Let me start by saying, this place hits it on the nose with its ambiance and location. It falls right in the heart of beautiful Chinatown and if I had to choose a place to eat based off of wallpaper, this would be it. But more importantly than that, the food and drinks are a 10/10 in my book. I usually come here for happy hour during the week, but my favorite deal is on Mondays, they have Manicure Mondays where for $25, you receive a glass of wine, an amazing salad, and a manicure. (Happy hour but make it self care, if you know what I mean.) My only note (which I don't mind but one might): It does get pretty crowded and loud in here full of people leaving their jobs downtown for happy hour.

Great spot for weekday Happy Hour (3-6pm)! Cute decor and good vibes all around. I had their Lola Colinas (mezcal) which was great and smoky. Friends got the Marley Rio, which was a terrific tropical drink, and the Negroni (which comes with extra in a glass flask). Food: - Fries: a little too salty - Crispy Brussels: surprisingly good with the apple slices they add on top, but nothing groundbreaking - Cauliflower Nibblers: roasted cauliflower with a kick - Grilled chicken pizza: decent pizza and comes with a nice bottle of spicy oil 4/5 for drinks, 3/5 for food Would come back again! I recommend making a reso if you want to sit - it was still packed even on a Tuesday at 6pm.

i snuck down here on an early Friday afternoon with some co-workers after seeing it as a recent addition to the 'hood via Yelp. At 4:45pm the place was juuuust starting to get busy, but not crowded. The crowd as many others have mentioned, is your typical mashup of FiDi professionals, with a sprinkling of tourists here and there. I love that they have decent cocktails on their happy hour menu (4-6pm daily) and while we didn't eat anything, the smells wafting around from the kitchen were certainly tempting. boss and I ordered the HH old fashioned, that seemed to be pre-made and bottled (this is a typical practice of many bars as of late, and when done well, is excellent) and another co-worker ordered a spicy tequila-based drink. the balance of the old fashioned was nice, albeit a bit sweeter than i'm accustomed to, but tasty nonetheless. the waitstaff was attentive without being intrusive, and by 5:45pm the place was getting pretty busy. It's a good spot for co-workers or friends, but lacks the warmth and intimacy of a date spot (well, unless it's with your steady S/O, but let's just say I wouldn't peg it as a new-date spot). The atmosphere is more appropriate for friends/colleagues, with ample natural light and a bustling, but not overly noisy ambiance. I'll definitely come back!

The happy hour menu is delicious. I would have given 5 stars but the service was a bit slow. The chicken skewers were really flavorful and juicy. The lamb crostini's were awesome and we loved the sunchoke chips so much we ordered them twice. The HH drinks were good.

Great spot to swing by for drinks. I like how it is located in a more secluded area in the city. The drinks were amazing. We did not try their food. And the prices were very affordable. We came here for a girls' night and loved the ambiance! Soft glow from tea candles and those gorgeous cocktails perfectly set the mood for a late night of catching up & tasty dishes were perfect for sharing. Will be back again!

This sophisticated and fun California bar is an oasis in the North Beach Area! Loved the esthetic and decor. Not to mentioned it's owned by this cute and fun-loving Australian duo who really put thought into the menu and creating the perfect vibe. You will def have a night to remember when you check out this spot!

Fantastic and very attentive staff, delicious food and drinks. I can't stop thinking about that Chicken Sandwich. The decor is fun, especially the bathroom. The place was packed on a late Friday afternoon with folks spilling out the door. Fortunately, there are outdoor tables that you can have a drink nibble. We'll be back to see how it does late night. So great to have a solid new bar in the hood.
