Hotel Spa A Quinta Da Auga Relais & Châteaux

The spa is beautiful but not very big. A few buttons switching on the nozzles didn't work. In general the spa was in a good condition. When we went there, we were the only visitors which was nice. However, for the price of 40€ for 1,5h p. p, I would have liked some extra service. But what had actually annoyed us, was that the clock in the spa was going wrong, so that we actually left the spa after only an hour, which made it even more expensive.

Really cool old mill that was completely restored as a luxury hotel. Incredibly thick stone walls, really beautiful lounge with lots of character. Room was nice, very good shower, high quality finishes, super comfortable bed and linens. The spa is ok but not worth it. Several things were broken, and the water isn't hot. 35€ for one hour is too much. Breakfast was very good, high quality, but service not attentive enough, not sure why. The parking is tight. We had a compact car and barely fit. Overall it's a very good hotel but not very good value l.

We spent 4 days and nights spent at this very lovely, friendly and exceptional hotel. The food was delicious, the staff helpful and extremely welcoming, a great spa with a good variety of treatments to suit both men and women and also lovely grounds in which to spend time relaxing. All in all an excellent place to stay and I highly recommend it. The hotel is also only twelve minutes from Santiago de Compostela yet set in quiet woodland.

Honestly, overpriced for what it is. The bed is comfortable but also small (queen size, why?), the hotel is full of brick-a-brack which makes it too busy-looking and the location, while nice, is a bit too urban and the grounds are not really big enough or landscaped in a way to really stand out as special. On top of everything, we had the bad luck to be there during a wedding party, which was quite roudy. Not sure how a Relais and chateaux hotel can have a wedding party, not exactly peace and quiet. Breakfast was ok but a little limited, the restaurant is fine.

No value for money. Spent 3 nights over the weekend and quality went down hill from start. Main entrance 3 big rubbish bins giving completely wrong image. Restaurant. 30 min wait for a beer and the menu. Gave up and went to the room for room service. Breakfast. Poached eggs too long cooked. 2 consecutive days.. Room first day pyjamas tided up but left on top of the bed, second day didn’t bother to folded them at all, left hanging on the chair. Minibar, just two cokes and two kas…

The reception looks like a somewhat tatty curiosity shop with worn old sofas.||Although we booked a higher room category, they gave us a room on the 2nd floor which turned out to be the basement. The room, although it was spacious and mostly clean, had hardly any daylight and it must have been used by dog owners, which one could smell and also the armchair was so dirty that I immediately thought, how comfortable it must have been for someone's dog.||Breakfast and dinner were good.

Very luxurious hotel to treat yourself after Camino. But be aware that hotel is 5 kms away from the cathedral and taxis are hard to find. The hotel did not inform us about the difficulty of finding taxis and was also not very helpful in finding a taxi. We had to walk to the hotel. This is the only negative. ||Otherwise a great hotel.

The concierge service of Relais & Chateux was very disappointing. They quote the routes they have already established to spend a few days in their hotels, and I asked in August and nobody answered. I wrote them later and they were very kind, but so slow that my trip was getting closer and I had nothing. Many of my questions weren't answered, and I finally prepared my own route and personally telephoned and reserved all the hotels I was visiting. I also needed an invoice, and they couldn't give me a solution, and it was me who proposed the option of buying vouchers. They are supposed to give you an exceptional service, given the level and price of these hotels.

Beautiful old paper mill turned high end boutique hotel. The hotel staff was nice and accommodating and spoke English. The regular rooms with twin beds were small and cramped but we got upgraded to a king bed suite which was beautiful. The grounds are kept well and stunning. Super cool place to stay. Just 10 minutes away from the cathedral and old town Santiago.
