"Hospitality has been practised here for over 500 years. Not only does the long-standing Hotel Wilden Mann have charming, individually styled guestrooms, it is also a bastion of fine dining. Since April 2022, Sascha Behrendt has been in charge of the kitchens of this tastefully elegant restaurant. He incorporates Japanese elements into his classic cuisine, as well as nods to the region and the season. The four- to six-course tasting menu is also available in a vegetarian version. There are à la carte options too. Tip for motorists: the Kesselturm multi-storey car park is just a short walk away. Otherwise you can park on the other side of the river, stroll through the beautiful old town and then cross the bridge (Reussbrücke)." - Michelin Inspector

The Walden Mann was my favorite hotel. The staff was remarkable. We were able to move into our rooms right away. The Wilden Mann was centrally located. Everything was close so we could walk everywhere. The breakfasts were superb. We hope to return one day. It was a good start to our vacation Thank you so much.

Hotel Wilden Mann is so very convenient to the center of Lucerne. The rooms are very comfortable, and the bathrooms are large. The breakfast buffet is wonderful with lots of options. The thing that impressed me the most was the customer service. The staff at the front desk was so helpful and advised us with everything from restaurant recommendations to calling taxis. They were so kind! The breakfast staff was also so friendly and welcoming, as well!

It is a very nice hotel in an excellent location - minutes walk to everywhere. Everything is convenient. I have to commend the hotel for being very helpful when my son got sick - they got us to an Urgent Care. Just excellent customer service. Breakfast was excellent - good selection of food choices (and great coffee).

We found this hotel to be very charming located in the center of town. The Breakfasts were excellent. We had a corner room overlooking the street. It was spacious, quiet, and clean. The staff of the hotel were excellent and very accommodating. We stayed at this hotel as part of a tour. The only negative would be the dinner. It was decent but not great. That is the reason i did not give it five stars. But it has a lot of charm in my opinion.

What a lovely hotel! We had a room on the top floor with a beautiful terrace that allowed us great views of the city. Located on a quiet street yet conveniently located to local restaurants and the ferry. We loved all about the hotel and Lucerne!

So let me preface by saying that I am an American traveler who was assigned this hotel with a Tour company.||The first thing you noticed is the location, which is absolutely outstanding! Very close to the lake and all of the other sites that you would love to see!||But that’s where it goes down downhill from there. This hotel is about 500 years old so as you can imagine they do the best they can, but for me, it was very uncomfortable.||As a solo traveler, they gave me a very tiny room room 301 That had no air! So the best they could do was give us a fan. The tub is also very treacherous if you are a senior and very high risk of falling. There is one elevator that everybody has to use. Otherwise, there are stairs and a lot of them!||The staff was quite friendly and spoke English very well. The breakfast was very minimalbut OK. Nothing fancy. I have found that all of Switzerland and their breakfast are very minimal just the basics.||The room had a blow dryer, but it barely worked. And of course, there are no washcloths. I only had literally one bath towel. And the bathroom was super tiny. No space for your toiletries.

Great location. Great staff. Charming character hotel. Very good breakfast. Beautiful walking city. River walk and lake cruising is a must do. Weather was perfect and the people were very friendly. It is expensive to eat out but worth the experience. We would love to return.

An older hotel but with all the current amenities you desire. Rooms are spacious even with a walk-in closet. The staff is OUTSTANDING. Concierge was extremely helpful regarding places of interests. Breakfast was superb and an available coffee station whenever you desire is a dream. We would gladly return and highly recommend.

Yelp
Had a Collette Vacations tour group dinner here, one of the few places that can host 42 people in Lucerne. Wife and I sat in the middle of one of several large tables in an elegant setting, with white table cloths, white napkins, and shiny tableware. Had our choice of beer, wine, juice or soda. Took apple juice, which I instantly regretted after the waiter poured a 1 ounce portion into a wine glass, not to sip, but to drink. The bouilion with vegetable strips came in a small bowl, and was hearty, if a bit insubstantial in number of vegetables. Other choice was celery salad with sprouts, which looked like one of those salads with shredded vegetable strips. The chicken breast could have used more mushroom sauce, as it was very dry, and lacked taste, but was a generous portion of around 7 ounces. Came with two scoops of yellow poienta and broccoli, to give it color, although I thought mashed potatoes or rice would go better with the fake grill marks on the chicken breast. The fried fillets of trout was a sample size of no more than 2,5 ounces of what was salmon, with the skin left on for looks. The leek vegetables tasted yummy like onions, and potato gnocchi was the only thing filling on the plate, and well cooked and presented. Any McDonalds nearby to stop afterwards? The carmel flan with cream and fruit varnish were tiny but delicious, especially with the chocolate spellings of "Happy Birthday" to yours truly. The tour operator ordered a bottle of apple juice for me to celebrate the big night, and it went by mistake to Jim, who was to celebrate his birthday the following day, and consumed it nevertheless quickly on the spot, before anyone realized the mistake!

Yelp
the worst place. do not stay here. noisy, terrible mattresses, bad breakfast. do yourself a favor and do not even think about staying here. stayed here for 2 nights and got no sleep. totally will never think about staying here ever again. almost ruined the city for me.

Yelp
We were on a tour and this was one of three restaurants to choose from in Luzerne for our "dine out" experience. The restaurant is an authentic Swiss one located in a hotel. Be prepared for no AC. I got the trout which was perfectly cooked; it came with a side of Linguine noodles without sauce and some really sweet steamed carrots. Everyone else in our group got the chicken which was dry. For dessert, we got the tiramisu which was not a traditional tiramisu. It was like a berry one that was tart and not really good. The service was a little slow with the drinks but the food came out pretty fast. It was a good experience overall.
