Gourmethotel Yscla (Ischgl, Tyrol) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"As the name suggests, at Gourmethotel Yscla (an ancient name for Ischgl, Austria) it’s all about the food. Stüva is the main attraction, plating French-inspired works of art in Tyrol’s most-awarded dining room under the direction of wunderkind Benjamin Parth — plus a formidable wine cellar with more than 10,000 bottles. The rest of the Parth family handles the hospitality at this chalet-style boutique. 32 guestrooms split the difference between earth-toned alpinism and sleek modernism, including contemporary street art." - Tablet Hotels

We stayed at the Yscla for a week over Christmas. The staff at the Yscla were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The food was amazing, particularly the Christmas Eve feast. The wine list is extensive, and prices are commensurate with the quality of the restaurant (check out on the website if you are worried about budget) . We also enjoyed the very civilised gluhwein and music out the front most evenings. The gym was very good for a hotel gym, with, unusually some free weights as well as the advertised machines. The location was great, close to the Silvrettabahn. Rooms were comfortable and kept spotlessly clean. One of our two rooms had less storage space than the other, and nothing to separate wet ski kit from dry clothes, but the other was great. But that's a minor niggle in an excellent week - we would go back.

Booked this hotel for my accommodation during a corporate event plus skiing and it was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The welcome at reception was so very personable, the service by room porters polite and unobtrusive, the smell of the mountains and ambience in the lobby bar all fantastic.||The reception arranged for my lift pass and recommended a couple of different hire shops for equipment - although there is one that they get a better discount from.||I booked a double room (110) and the space was phenomenal. Huge bed - although, watch out for hitting your shins on the edges, ouch - with super comfortable mattresses and down duvets. The room was vast, with a dressing area en route to a very well appointed and luxurious bathroom. The balcony I had looked over the Main Street but there wasn’t noise and Ischgl is such a beautiful village it was nice to see.||The spa area is typically Austrian and just what was needed after a long day in the mountains, both conference and skiing, to relax. ||There are two restaurants at the hotel, the main hotel one where the food is what you might find in a Michelin starred restaurant, and another downstairs which is more relaxed and kind of burger/pasta based. The hotel restaurant was out of this world, the food amazing and the prices inexpensive for the quality. Even breakfast - in this same restaurant - was delightful and the choices are vast. I particularly enjoyed the poached egg dishes! But that’s my taste! ||Even on check out I was given a warm send off, a genuine offer of goodwill and invite to visit again and a bottle if water for the short transfer to Innsbruck airport. ||I’ll definitely return! Without a shadow of doubt!

Hotel Yscla has an excellent location in Iscghl. Less then 100 meter to the gondola and less approximately 50 meter from the end of the slope to the hotel. |The rooms are nice and clean. And the single rooms are also convenient for a week stay. The spa area is good, but with no swimming pool. |I appreciated the food, but for a whole week the gourmet dinner can be a bit to much. 7 meals, in between courses, can be to much even though the dishes is not big. Plus the time can be a bit to much every night. You can choose to have all the different wines to each dish, or just choose from a few of them. This is ok since the prices for wine is a bit high, even though the wines is of excellent choice. The hotel has a really good wine list.|If it would be possible to choose one of the two other restaurants connected to the hotel, this would be nice for a couple of days during the week. |The best thing about the hotel was the afternoon food in the bar between 16:00 and 17:00. Excellent after a day on skis. And the employees and owners are really good hosts.

We were a week in Ischgl for skiing and stayed at this excellent hotel. The staff was very service minded and guest friendly, always wanting the best for us. In all everything was provided as one should except at this price; nice beds, good cleaning, small but nice bar etc. The dinner was preset as an seven course gourmet menu including a nice salad and cheese buffet, so in practice five courses. In addition three course alternatives was included which made it possible to really set together a menu of your own choice. The chefs made a wonderful job! Well cooked, nicely presented and high tasting. The cuisine was Austrian. The portions size was overall well balanced but the main course tended to be to big. Drinks were not included but a new wine suggestion for each course every day, served on glass, ranging from 8 to 22 € each. Very nice wine cellar with lot of "local" choices with an average price of perhaps 100 €. If you have wine left they save the bottle for the next dinner! A nice gesture. We used the fantastic spa every night before dinner after a long day of hard skiing. Men and women together so bring swim wear out of respect. It was not at all crowded and on several occasions were we all alone! Two different saunas, to different steam baths and one room with two infra heated chairs. I, my wife and our daughter loved it. Hope you do too! 😀

Love the accommodation, Love the service, Love the food!!!|Chef Benjamin and his mother and father run this family owned hotel. They are ultra friendly, so are their staff Caroline, Sarah and Christopher. They even introduced us to their good friend Olympian skier Marc Girardelli, who is such a lovely down to earth man!|Chef Benjamin who was awarded 3 torque by Gault&Millau is a very talented chef whose food composition is clever and pack full of flavor! Thank you all for making our trip so special👍

The management put profits above people at every opportunity at this hotel. What a dreadful place. I don’t know where to begin with the large number of grievances I have with this hotel. So i’ll focus on two areas. 1) I was ripped off. I booked a single room and due to Omicron and travel restrictions had to reschedule the dates of my trip. The hotel repackaged our booking as three double rooms and we did not dispute this at the time because we were not looking out for up-charges - why would we be? You would assume that you get the room you booked and I booked a single. They served me all week in the restaurant as a single person, so they knew I was staying alone. They still tried to charge for a double on check out with two half boards! We managed to get the half board removed from the bill but I still had to pay for a double room which I did not budget for. 2) The restaurant dinners are farcical. Portions were beyond avant-garde in presentation, with some so small they weren’t worth lifting your fork for. They had a list of substitute items you could order instead and by half way through the week my party were having pepper steak every night which I think says it all. Food was often undercooked. It mostly felt like an opportunity to sell us wine, and when we ordered the same reasonably priced wine they didn’t have a record of what it was called and told us it was out of stock. I’d like to add that the restaurant staff were fantastic and really nice. unlike their management. Please trust me when I say that this hotel is to be avoided. Your stay here will only lead to disappointment.
