Hotel ZaZa Houston Memorial City

"What's it like upon arrival? If you find the check-in process at the Memorial City location of Hotel ZaZa to be a blur, no one could possibly blame you; after all, who wouldn't want to rush to get upstairs to the posh pool? It's like a slice of Palm Springs in Houston. If you could use three words to describe the crowd...Team Spring Break. Thoughts on your room?We splurged on the French Connection Suite, one of the themed Magnificent Seven Suites, which boasts sexy decor, marble accents in the bathroom, and a cozy balcony and sitting area. The poodle statue next to the toilet is a whimsical touch. How about the little things, like mini-bar, or shower goodies. Any of that noteworthy? In addition to free wifi and a comfy robe, there are C.O. Bigelow toiletries and complimentary teas, coffees, and treats. Is the room service worth it? What should we order?Should you decide to opt for a lazy morning of breakfast in bed, the cut-above room service menu offers dishes like house beet-cured salmon tartine, with filone batard, créme fraîche, avocado, egg, shaved red onion, capers, and sprout ($17). Any standout staff members? The bartender at the pool bar keeps service efficient and friendly. What else will keep you occupied during your stay? The gym has free disposable headphones—a nice, helpful touch—and some of the treatments at ZaSpa were created with large groups (say, eight or more) in mind. In other words: Bring on the group visits. Who should book a stay here? This ZaZa is perfect for those seeking a hoppin' hotel just outside downtown Houston—one with with dramatic style and a pool that's always a party." - Diana Oates

My husband and I stayed here for my birthday weekend and had a pleasant experience. The gentlemen that greeted us at the valet were professional and friendly. The lobby was beautifully decorated and the staff greeted us with smiles. The restaurant and bar were amazing with great cocktails. I especially enjoyed the details of the hotel decor. Overall we had a great stay and I can’t express how friendly the staff were here. Excited to stay again in the near future!

The staff was great! It was very busy due to large party’s that were staying on the same weekend, but our accommodations were ready and clean and Walter was so attentive. He made us feel like we were the only guests here! We’ve stayed a lot, anniversaries, birthdays and even had the couples message once. You guys never disappoint!! Thank you, again I’m so relaxed and ready for a busy work week now thanks to you.

We recently had the opportunity to service one of our corporate clients at Hotel ZaZa Houston, and the experience was outstanding from beginning to end. The entire team—from valet to event staff—was welcoming, professional, and accommodating. Although we didn’t interact with her during the planning phase, we met Alexis, the Conference Service Manager, on event day and were incredibly impressed by her attentiveness and professionalism. She ensured we had everything we needed for a smooth setup and activation. As an event vendor, we also appreciated the exceptionally fast internet speeds, which made a big difference in the performance of our photo booth and sharing station. The venue itself is both stylish and functional—perfect for corporate events and upscale gatherings. Hotel ZaZa Houston is clearly committed to excellence, and we look forward to the opportunity to return and work with their amazing team again. —209 Photo Booth Company

I had a very disappointing experience at Hotel Zaza Memorial. I booked directly on their website 15 days in advance, and paid upfront for a room with 2 beds, for 2 adults and 2 children, for 2 nights. When my wife and kids arrived first, they were given a room with only one bed and a sofa (not even a sofa bed). This was completely different from what we had reserved and paid for. A young man named Josh helped us and was polite, apologizing for “reservation issues.” Still, that’s no excuse — we paid in full for a specific room configuration. Josh offered a rolling bed for the first night and said we could change rooms the next day. We did, but the person at the front desk that morning was rude and showed no willingness to help. We finally got the correct room, but the overall disappointment was huge. The pool bar never opened on Sunday, and the restaurant staff was clearly not interested in offering quality service. I won’t stay here again. Definitely not recommended.

We greatly appreciate the awesome restaurant service we received. Our host, Betty, was exceptional and made our visit memorable. It was lovely to see the support from her manager. The service was friendly and efficient, enhancing our experience. We extend our gratitude for the wonderful time at Zaza hotel.

Google
Hotel ZaZa delivers on its reputation—contemporary, edgy, and full of character. The atmosphere is vibrant, the decor is unique, and the overall vibe makes it feel like more than just a place to sleep. Service was exceptional across the board—staff went out of their way to be helpful, friendly, and professional. The front lawn was a standout feature—perfect for relaxing and soaking in the hotel’s cool energy. The pool itself was great once you got there, but access was a bit confusing and inconvenient. Also worth noting: while the location is solid, it’s not the most walkable spot for exploring the city, so plan on using a car or rideshare to get around. Overall, Hotel ZaZa is a great choice if you’re looking for something stylish and a little offbeat. Just keep in mind the transportation logistics, and you’ll have a great stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.

I wanted to take a moment to share a positive experience I had upon my check-in today. I was greeted by Jessica at the front desk, and I must say, she was exceptionally pleasant, welcoming, and helpful. Her friendly attitude and professionalism truly made a difference in my day. As a frequent guest of your hotel, it's important to acknowledge individuals like Jessica who go above and beyond, as it's their dedication and attention to detail that keeps me returning to your hotel. While customer service is a part of their role, it’s not often that employees receive the recognition they truly deserve, and I believe that Jessica’s outstanding service should be highlighted. Thank you for fostering such a positive environment at Hotel ZaZa and for having employees like Jessica, who make staying at your hotel an even more enjoyable experience. Kind regards, Wendy M

Our server William was amazing! He took great care of us and his recommendation was on pint. He was one step ahead of us every time we needed something he was on the spot. Looking forward to our next visit.

Yelp
Love the full service and love the free popsicles and the free sunscreen if you left some of that at home. Full service all the way at the bar and good food as well. Pool time is full service and you feel like you're a queen.

Yelp
Hear me out........... I'm not coming here again. I do have to say that while I stayed at The Hotel ZaZa in Dallas with my sister we had a spectacular time! I wanted to go to a cozy staycation in Houston and even though my heart and soul was telling me to go to The Westin Downtown, my favorite hotel in Houston, I wanted to stay somewhere different. First of all, as a content creator that highlights her travels I needed to get content on a different hotel. The problem is, I knew I would be let down by Hotel Zaza Houston because Dallas is just more fabulous and fancy. Their aim is to please. This is not....that. So, on arrival to the hot there is a person who opens the door for you but that is it. There wasn't an offer to take my luggage or bring it to my room. In Dallas, they trip over you to assist you and they definitely earned the big tips my sister and I gave. They seemed like they Loved their job. Anyways, first world problems and definitely not the biggest deal. I am definitely capable of bringing my own luggage to the room. Now the reception was fine and quick to get me to my room. I had worked the night before and chose to go get a manicure and pedicure before my arrival to Hotel ZaZa so I could be nice and tired when it was time to go to bed. I honestly am getting irritated with the check-in and check- out times of hotels lately. When I was younger, growing up and up until recent years check-in time was noon or 1PM. Their check - in time is 4 PM, soon it's going to be midnight. There was a mention of early check in on th e website but I'm sure it involved paying more money. I'll pass. Also, to check out late, same thing even though I was leaving early Friday morning. Now, the room was just basic. I blame myself for this because I just picked the cheapest room. I did bring products to clean and sanitize the room and they probably should have put more effort into cleaning the room. I shouldn't feel icky when doing a quick clean up. The sheets were clean and so was the shower. The shower was wonderful! Great temperature and pressure. It was soothing! Now I didn't do turn down service but housekeeping did come around to give free bottled water, ice, and a Moon Pie. I saw that the gross Moon pies were part of turn down service. No thank you! I passed on room service and just Doordash. The food options were too expensive to be basic and unappealing. I asked for a specific blanket my first night and it took over two hours to receive and it wasn't what I asked for. Bummer! The room got cold but not like I prefer. Honestly, my stay was just okay. I didn't even film content my second day. I just vegged out and relaxed.

Yelp
Great hotel with pool and hotel lobby restaurant! Stayed here for three nights and loved every second, the lobby bar has a lively atmosphere and connects to the outdoor pool and patio seating. The hotel is extremely pet friendly and was like staying at a friends home. The rooms were cozy, with slippers and robes and the bed was unbelievably comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel

Yelp
So I decided to have a staycation in the city and go to Hotel ZaZa! The stay was amazing as I remembered last year! The checkin process was easy breezy and the hotel and room were really clean! I can't forget about the delicious Reese's cookies that they had for the guest in the lobby area. They were OMG GOOD ! They were huge and I'm glad I took 2 of them to my room . After leaving the pool, I ordered a pizza from "The Tipping Point" which is a restaurant with a bar that is attached to ZaZa. The pizza was kinda ugly and I feel that it wasn't made with love. It was pretty good though. Whoever made it definitely rushed it.

Yelp
Myself and my mom had a one night stay here for their annual NYE Bash and loved it! From the moment we drove up, we were treated with the highest regard! The staff valet were so kind, helped us with our bags and directed us to check in. The hotel is extremely well kept, and very artistic! You have sculptures, artistic paintings and beautiful themed rooms throughout the hotel! They have a beautiful pool area, that's connected to a restaurant bar! The food and drinks are premium and well seasoned!! I ordered the pork bao buns and a house margarita! Loved both. Hotel ZaZa takes each of their events very seriously! And value their superb customer service. We had a one nights stay! The room was a 2 king bed suite! It was massive with an office and resting area. The restroom was huge, with a beautiful walk in shower and a snazzy art piece that hung up next to the shower that you couldn't help but admire. They threw in 2 complimentary wines. One was a Prosecco and the other a red wine because we were apart of their VIP rewards program! They included complimentary moon pies which brought back my childhood nostalgia!! Loved the bed!! It was so incredibly soft! It was like sleeping on a cloud. Their towels were so plush, it's hard to believe that they could feel so luxurious! The NYE bash was certainly one for the books and it included live entertainment, amazing food and an open premium bar! Their brunch was incredible, I enjoyed their baked salmon and pork lollipops! You could tell they seasoned their food with adobo because it was amazing!!!!

Yelp
Gorgeous hotel at a relatively affordable price. After staying in a utilitarian cheap hotel for business over a few nights, we went for this sweet place as a little treat. Beautiful art work everywhere. Higher end linens and bath products. Nice staff. Large room. The pool was small but adequate. Nicely decorated. Cabanas and lounge chairs plus bistro tables.

Yelp
A heartfelt thank you to Zaza Hotel for an incredible New Year's Eve celebration! The ambiance, attention to detail, party favors for us and overall experience were outstanding. Special gratitude to Manager Eli for her exceptional leadership and personal touch throughout the evening. Her dedication to ensuring me and my guest felt valued and cared for truly made the night unforgettable. I loved the DJ! The music selection was spot-on, blending various genres to keep the energy high and the dance floor packed. Played so many great hits. We stayed on the dance floor. All the guests were so nice too, everyone there was having fun! Every Zaza employee was so nice! Our package included NY day Brunch. It was AMAZING! When we walked out of the elevator our mouths dropped. Live music and the spread was heavenly, featuring a variety of mouthwatering dishes. It was definitely unexpected. Included mimosas, bloody mary's etc. Zaza Hotel, under Manager Eli's guidance, sets a benchmark for hospitality that goes above and beyond. Thank you for a magical night that will be treasured.

Yelp
We did a New Years celebration package at ZaZa Memorial City, and it was great. Maybe the only reason it's not 5 stars is because the Museum District Hotel ZaZa is our first love, and that is our 5 star choice. With that said, the New Years party was a class act, with an open bar, free flowing appetizers, and fun music. The hotel staff is first rate, and the room was beautiful, and I hope to come back soon.

Yelp
I'm a frequent travel to the Houston area with multiple chains and properties experienced throughout the city. Hotel ZaZa will be my go to from here on out!!!! There's really not enough positive commentary I can provide to fully express the caliber of Hotel ZaZa Memorial City. The ZaZa checks all the necessary boxes including safety, staff, cleanliness, and location. My experiences at the ZaZa have been above and beyond what one normally encounters as a frequent traveler. Rest assured your in good hands at Hotel ZaZa Memorial City!

Yelp
Owned by Zaza Gabor. Very very very very expensive hotel. So expensive that everything needs to be perfect. Hit or miss is not perfect but that's what we found here. Dealing with issues at a "price point" as hipsters say that is this high, should be a full refund type thing, and the service here is nowhere near it. They're making a killing but you don't get service that matches that. Having said that, there's a reason why there are so many five-star reviews - because this is also one of the greatest hotels in Houston, the most comfy, the most lavish, as well as being nowhere near the level of service you expect, considering the price.

Yelp
I absolutely loved my stay at Hotel ZaZa and would do it all over again! For me, this hotel was in the perfect location. It was near plenty of restaurants and shopping but wasn't in the midst of the downtown area. Check-in is at 4 pm but I arrived around 3:30 pm and was able to check in without any issues. I stayed 3 nights at this hotel and booked a Deluxe King room which was perfect for me as I was traveling solo. I booked my room on the hotel's website because they had an offer of free valet parking if you stay 3 nights or more. Considering I got around Houston in a rental car, the free valet came in handy as the only option for parking is the valet parking. The hotel is beautiful and modern. I love all the artwork around the room and in the common areas of the hotel. It definitely had a vibe that I enjoyed. The bed is super comfy but my absolute favorite part of the room was the shower. The shower is huge and spacious and even has a little seat in it. The water pressure from the shower was superb and it was honestly hard for me to get out. The service was great. I loved that they would leave out coffee and tea by the elevator in the morning. They also had candy at the front desk and would have a small snack and beverages in the lobby in the evenings. The only downfall to my stay is that I didn't make the most of my stay here. I was really hoping to have some time by the pool and check out the spa but I didn't get to. Hotel ZaZa also has a restaurant called The Tipping Point. I didn't get to check that out either but it seemed like a nice place to drab a drink and bite to eat.

Yelp
I can't believe I haven't written a review for this Zaza yet. This is our go-to staycation location in Houston. We have enjoyed coming here before the pandemic, felt safe at it during the pandemic, and were just there last week! Before the pandemic, there was a lovely spa to access, the Tipping Point was fun place to enjoy dinner, and the rooms were lovely! During the pandemic, they had awesome Cabana package deals or offers on their website that utilized the appropriate physical and social distancing, face masks, and sanitization etiquette, but their menu was limited. This made sense given the state of markets, trade, export/import, and general craziness of the world. Every time we were in our cabana, it was as if the world melted away and we could truly relax. Plus, their cabana package came with a bottle of prosecco and some seasonal fruit! It was heavenly. Their menu has slowly started to rebuild since Easter when I noticed more items on their menu including alt.milks, salmon bagelettes, and other options. It's still not quite functioning at the peak of what it was pre-pandemic, but it's getting there. I especially like how the pool is now limited to guests at the hotel, so it doesn't feel too crowded. I'm sure we'll be back, and I miss our stay each time we visit. What a great Houston gem!

Yelp
I took my mom and my friend to the New Year's event and boy, what a mistake! They did not have enough sitting for all those ppl. that booked the place! they were under staff at the bar. I felt bad for the bartenders trying their best to get the drinks out as fast as they could. They had outside sitting with no heaters and most ladies were freezing with what they had on. The hors d'oeuvres was horrible, and cold. I took a small bite of the so called chicken to taste and that sent me to the bathroom in the middle of the night! Save your money and go somewhere else!

Yelp
Okay. So, the 3 stars for the price point versus service. Upon arrival, it appeared there was just 1 valet for everyone checking in and also heading out for evening plans. I waited in the car while my husband checked in. They really need help in this area. Our room was very nice, clean and the AC worked well. I would say that for this price point, I was disappointed to see a grey plastic shower head. Like you have marble floors, shower tiles, and a counter, but a plastic shower head is what was decided on? The TV remote was partially broken, and the TV service is outdated. Why have a guide that can't tell you what is on? The Tipping Point has a nice ambiance and good drinks. However, every mixed drink is $20 bucks. Even the standard wines start at $16 a glass. The breakfast omelet served via room service was very bland and no butter for the toast. Now, here is the real nitpicking... I had a hard time finding WATER. Our turn down service on one of the 2 nights provided a pint-sized bottle of water. There was no bottled water in the beverage center either, so I couldn't even pay for water in the room. It also seemed they forgot two people often stay for anniversary getaways. 1 set of slippers. 1 water one night. 1 mini moon pie. Seriously? We ordered an overpriced bottle of bubbly via room service and requested WATER as well. There was no water delivered, and considering the service charge, I was disappointed. There is a coffee/tea bar on each floor, which is nice but also forces you to get dressed or throw a robe on and make coffee and bring it back to your room. An attendant pushing a beverage/snack cart knocks each morning for you to purchase snacks/alcohol and the like. By the time I realized they had water for purchase, we were checking out. Also, the tap water was awful. Otherwise, I would have just drank that. Overall this is a good choice for a quick getaway. ZaZa just needs to figure out which star hotel it wants to be.

Yelp
I treated my husband to a staycation for his birthday and I can't say enough about Nora at the front counter who gave the best hospitality and was extremely helpful during our stay even making sure we received our complimentary champagne with chocolate covered strawberries given the occasion. She was personable and made our stay that much better with her attitude and helpfulness. The hotel itself exceeded our expectations. I have nothing but positive to say about our stay! We had a great balcony view, Room was extremely clean, Let's not even begin to mention how big and comfortable the king bed was. I was almost sad we had to leave. Thanks for the amazing stay

Curtis B.

Yelp
Made reservations for our 51st Anniversary. Specifically booked their $465 "king room upgrade "SPA package with $60 extra charge to check in 2pm instead of 4 pm. We arrived at 2, only to discover no early check in at any price, "Spa" package, it turns out was $200 in addition to the room charge. I don't mind paying for services I buy with full knowledge of what I'm buying. This hotel is trying to be a 5 star operation with 1 star service and misleading pricing. The manager at checkout, Alexis, adjusted our bill, which was kind of her, but the trauma and aggravation was needless and ruined our special outing. When looking for a special place for a future event, I'll stay with our proven standard...the St Regis...they understand straightforward pricing but even more...customer service.
google avatar

Natosha D.

Yelp
Everything went well from Valet To Checkout. The room was spacious and neat. The balcony was awesome. The King mattress was comfortable and the room temp kept us cool all night. We faced the Italian spot and neighboring buildings. I surprisingly enjoyed the strawberry jalapeno water in the lobby too. Room service breakfast didn't disappoint. Took a short nap right after . My only gripe would be a long hair found in the shower .

Yelp
Elegant hotel with great amenities. Restaurant and bar is a great option for those looking to stay in. The vibe is great and we will be back.

Yelp
Hotel ZaZa MCITY is not worth the money! The rooms are dark, poorly decorated, felt cheap, with very little wow factor. The service was basic, the staff was just ok. A doubletree would have equaled my stay at half the price. If you want a really nice hotel pay up extra $$ instead of being fooled into thinking you are in a high class place.

Cornelius H.

Yelp
Got the opportunity to hang out poolside at The Beach Club at Hotel Zaza and had a blast. My bartender Angelica was top class. If you are around or want n town go check her out. You want be disappointed.

Yelp
This place is really cool, I originally chose it because it was close to my office in Houston but I loved it so much that I keep coming back. It's a little pricey but the pool is very nice, and the restaurant has great food. The bar is a very social environment if you're traveling alone for business it's easy to meet and talk to others. The rooms all have different themes which is pretty cool too. I would definitely recommend staying here. Only thing is I believe it's valet parking only, but the valets are great and always have your car ready when you need it.

Yelp
***There's a reason Hotel Zaza is a four star hotel and not a five*** I actually thought about posting this review for days and spoke with multiple friends about it but the truth is people need to know what's going on here. My sister and her fiancé checked in here Friday before their wedding on Saturday (Passage to India suite) . We all checked in and immediately the heater is broken so my sister just turns up the heat thinking it would eventually warm up the room. We grab dinner in the Tipping room restaurant downstairs and return an hour later and the room is still freezing (60s) We tell the front desk and they send up the maintenance man. Fast forward to about 50 mins, the maintenance man sees we are getting upset (it's getting late at this point about 10:30pm and we have my sisters wedding the next morning) and says he can't fix it and will tell the front desk so we can move rooms. My husband and I speak to Martha, the manager that night and it's literally chaos back and forth trying to find us a new, clean room. They tried to downgrade my sister's hotel suite; we looked at the room they offered and it was just not up to par. I couldn't believe it that was the "best" they offered. Honestly, my sister was beyond offended. So I go downstairs with my sister to the front desk to speak to the manager in person myself. I questioned how there's multiple rooms on our floor that says "sanitized for your protection" she admits the rooms aren't actually fully cleaned....therefore, she could not put us in any of the rooms equivalent or better to what my sister paid for. (Also due to them not having housekeeping at this late hour) BUT this was when I was beyond in shock! It's lying to your guests! It's pretty much saying I don't have COVID when I do, right? I asked the front desk this and they couldn't really answer this, simply because they lied about the rooms being fully clean and sanitized. We wait in the lobby for almost an hour and clearly my sister and I are getting frustrated and upset. I mean who wouldn't? It's midnight at this point and this has been ongoing for over hours. At this point in time it's past midnight and my sister is getting married in the morning. After arguing back and forth we finally get a new "clean" room (Asian beauty suite) that's upgraded. Martha offered $100 off per night, flowers to her room and some champagne in the morning. Sweet and kind gesture but such a stressful nightmare beforehand which could've all been avoided. The staff at Hotel Zaza could have done a better job to make this more pleasant. My sister and her entire bridal party even got multiple rooms here for the wedding. Not to mention- My sister and her fiancé called Zaza the night before to make sure the hotel was properly functioning due to the winter storm and blackouts because if that was the case they would've just cancelled the hotel suite and booked at Four Seasons.

Yelp
I'm not gonna lie, the Hotel ZaZa exceeded my expectations and is one of the best hotels I've stayed at in a long time. I was here for a work trip and we spent three nights, which included 2 full days of meetings in the hotel's conference rooms upstairs. Here is everything I enjoyed about the hotel: -Loved the ambiance/decor. You can tell this is a nicer, boutique hotel -I used the fitness center on 2 of the days I was there. Although a tad on the smaller side, they had everything I needed, which also included an area to refill my water bottle (which I used many times throughout my stay, even when I wasn't in the fitness center :)). They also have a Peloton bike for anyone who uses those. -The bed was SOOOO comfortable! I slept better in this bed than I do in my own bed! Amazing sleep all 3 nights I was there -Lots of water, snacks, etc in the room in case you get hungry. I wish they had healthier options as most of it was just chips and candy bars. But still helpful for a quick snack nonetheless. -Nice bar/lounge area downstairs. I sat around with a few coworkers one night, but didn't get a drink. I know many of them stayed in that area way late into the night and seemed to enjoy it (and there's a ping pong table?) -Rooms are spacious as are the bathrooms in each guest room. This was probably my favorite bathroom area of any hotel I've stayed in. Just loved the shower and the temperature/pressure was perfect. -Really upscale catering for our meetings. I loved all of the snacks and meals they'd bring in. They do an A+ job. My personal favorite was the ice cream sundae bar. The ice cream was delicious!! Only thing that I could give constructive feedback on was the hotel restaurant. The menu was just okay and the day we went there for lunch, the food took too long to come out, causing me to almost be late to my portion of the meeting. I had to run upstairs to get ready and my coworker had to pay my bill for me. Otherwise, I really hope we come here again for another meeting. I really enjoyed it!

Yelp
I love this place! When it was open, I was so excited because I don't really like the main locations as far as parking and location goes. I came here late one Saturday evening and did not have an appointment, of course, and it was actually on the weekend so the sales department was not available. However, they made it available for me to view the suites and rooms and conference rooms that I needed as well as banquet halls. I came looking for a wedding venue and I was so impressed. My couple was impressed as well. We will definitely be booking here. Not only because of how beautiful everything is but also because of the hospitality that was shown. They really really did not have to do it but they still did. Thank you thank you THANK YOU to: Harrison, Bridget, Gabby, and Amit!!!

Yelp
From the curb I was unsure, but the moment we drove in and saw the steer skulls on the property vehicles I knew I was in love! Everything about the hotel is just wonderful. The decor, the bar, the staff everything has just been suburb. I left my key in the room and the desk attendant remembered my name from check in a few hours back. The signature cocktails were delicious! This is definitely a premiere destination in Houston! This is my first visit and I am thoroughly impressed and would love to come back and stay here. I want to test the pool when it's warmer, go to the spa, and experience everything the hotel has to offer.

Yelp
My wife and I recently stayed here as a mini staycation the weekend of our wedding and we're glad we did! Since our wedding ended late and we knew we wouldn't be able to check-in until close to midnight, we decided to get a regular room w/ King bed and check into our actual preferred room the next day. The regular room with the king bed was super spacious and spotless/clean upon arrival. I'd definitely recommend and stay again. Our check-out of that room/check-in to the "Black and Gold" room was pretty seamless...though we couldn't do an early check-in because guests were still occupying the room, the hotel did hold our bags and take them up for us while we ran out for the day. When we returned/checked-in, we found the suite to be IMMACULATE! Loved the theme and how spacious it was and appreciated the added touch of a bottle of champagne waiting for us, and rose petals surrounding the bed. During our stay, customer service was beyond impressive; We even received an email inquiring how our stay was going and asking if we needed anything! We would definitely return!

Yelp
I love coming here for a staycation. With Covid and all the restrictions around travel, it's nice to have a place we can check in to for the weekend and relax. The big selling point for me is the pool area. They had events on some weekends with a DJ, which was a nice extra. Poolside service was also available with a decent variety of food from Tipping Point restaurant. The service is pretty good and consistent, from check in, to poolside service, to the restaurant and even valet. The rooms are decently sized, clean and modern and the beds are comfortable but my favorite part of it all is the art! So many interesting pieces to fall in love with. Tl; dr Modern hotel with good service and interesting art, highly recommend.

Yelp
My wife and I shared a double king room with our children, ages 13 and 16. The beds were extremely comfortable and both nights were restful. The room is spacious and we all fit fine without being on top of each other. The restroom was very functional and the water pressure and temperature were great. The staff, from front desk to room service to valets, were all very friendly and helpful and we will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Yelp
Cute hotel in Memorial district still working on upgrades like Bluetooth speakers and casting to use streaming services. A great ambiance for a staycation, girls weekend, or after work drinks.

Yelp
As a native Houstonian I have not had the pleasure of staying at Hotel ZaZa. However, I have visited the bar frequently and find the atmosphere and experience quite desirable. You never really know what you're going to expect from the bar area. Sometimes it's quiet with a relaxed atmosphere, other times it's wild with guests from various events such as weddings. Regardless, I enjoy coming here because the guests are usually really nice and the bar tenders are very attentive. Max is a great bartender and remembers what I ordered even if I haven't been there in awhile. I find this remarkable based on how many guests frequent this establishment. Fyi, the pizza is an off menu item but its fantastic and I strongly recommend trying it.

Yelp
Beautiful rooms , the friendliest staff and just sexy as hell, Hotel ZaZa was the perfect Valentine's Day date night. I highly recommend.

Yelp
The hotel is nice, but it's overpriced and management is a joke. There is a severe lack of communication within the organization, and we had constant issues getting in touch with people. We had issues with our bill, and the hotel doesn't seem to want to own up to the mistakes caused on their end. Highly recommend staying at another hotel; I will never come back here.

Yelp
My family and I stayed here for my father's funeral service. It was not at all expected from a 5 star hotel. The front desk people are horrible and don't explain their policies very well. We had a very sad occassion and the staff and hotel made it even worse especially for the widow. They don't accommodate or try to work with you. I will never stay there again.

Yelp
Mixed bag here. The bar and food are good but the service and supply chain management are inconsistent. They bring you old menus, take your order then return yo say that they no longer offer that drink, dish or whatever. Had to ask for water and they brought all the food (starter and main) at once. Just odd. Last, I really think that the mystique of Za Za is dreamed up by us because the staff all walk around like they are in a daze. No drive, no sexy appearance no desire to serve. Just plain blah.

Yelp
Zaza (Memorial City) This is by far the worst establishment I've witnessed in all my years of hospitality. Eliu Duarte and Leslie Perdomo are incompetent and unprofessional when it comes to fulfilling their management duties at the Tipping Point restaurant. In regards to inventory control, respecting schedules, and building employee morale, they lack the skillset to continue run this establishment successfully. Hence why the turnover rate is very high, especially amongst the bartenders. Numerous employees have endured the undermining comments from Eliu and the insouciant behavior from Leslie on a consistent basis. Not to mention them being late, leaving property, and being on their phone during peak times of the restaurant. Furthermore Matthew Nuss doesn't allow any Zaza employees to order food under any circumstances (even paying full price). I've witnessed my pregnant colleague go shifts without eating which is inexcusable. Lastly, their requisition sheet for liquor doesn't include any cognac which has perturbed many African American guests, and sends a message that black culture is not welcomed. Definitely wouldn't recommend going here as a guest or potential employee.

Yelp
I loved everything about this hotel. From valet service to the front desk, everyone was so friendly and attentive. Room was spacious and clean. I highly recommend this hotel.

Yelp
This was a much needed get away for my husband and me, as we had a house fire and are displaced from our home and staying with family. Thank you to the amazing staff that treated us so well and treated us to champagne, a fruit plate and a discounted dinner. 5 star rating all around. Thank you!!

Yelp

Yelp
Hotel Zaza is a really nice hotel, and they really do treat you right, but you end up overpaying for it. I understand valet parking is "fancy", but in this case it's honestly more of an overpriced inconvenience. 6 dollars for a bottle of water should be criminal.

Yelp
NO STARSSS!!!! First of all I booked Friday-Sunday I called and requested a later check in after midnight, which they said was doable! I already knew I was staying two nights and that it would be $420 something for the weekend, but how do I request a late check in and know that I was supped to check out Saturday night That's don't even make F$@:& sense if I booked Friday-Sunday. Charged a $100 damage fee that your supposed to get back Nobody said anything about that. On top of me getting makeup on towels from Washing my freaking face and that's a $95 like that bleach the freaking towels!!!! This hotel is a joke just want all your money whatever reason. Smh never again ZAZA !

Yelp
It's a beautiful hotel with comfortable chic rooms. We stayed a night and I found the room to be very clean, which for me is major major bonus points. I love the brand and eclectic decor honestly. The restaurant was also nice and we ate two meals here, the dinner was exceptional and the breakfast was alright. We found a nice deal on their website so I would check to see if they're offering a package. I believe when we went it was valet parking only. We had just joined their loyalty club and they offered a nice amenity of a complimentary drink at check in. So thoughtful! After calling the front desk, we asked about the drink and were assured that it would be sent up. My fiancé then asked me where our drinks were so I go down to the front desk to ask and the lady insists the drinks have been delivered. I insisted no, and I felt like she wasn't very friendly about it and said a manager had initialed the delivery. A man came over and said that the drinks had been sent to another room. He was a lot nicer. The young lady just stared, I would have thought an apology appropriate. They sent up the drinks but the whole thing rubbed me the wrong way. I felt like I was all but called a liar and well that didn't leave me feeling great. Lovely property, but I didn't understand why multiple things were sent to the wrong room and I was treated poorly because of it. I still love the brand though.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here for a mini baby moon and could not have been more pleased with our experience. Kathryn at the front desk was amazing! She upgraded our room and made sure I got a mock tail even when the bar was closed. The spa was immaculate, and the pool area was nice and well kept. We will definitely choose Zaza again on our next trip to Texas!

Yelp
My wife and I stayed at Zaza for the first time this past weekend for our two year anniversary and were blown away. This hotel is beautiful and smells amazing (you can buy the smell in the spa and I recommend you do). The staff was friendly and helpful, some the best valet service around. The room was one of the best accessible rooms I've ever stayed in, very large and comfortable. If you have restaurant reservations nearby ask about the hotel's shuttle service it's free and easy. Will for sure return soon.

Yelp
Hotel Zaza Memorial City Is THE PLACE TO BE! We always stay Zaza for all our special occasions but this stay was especially exceptional! Despite the staff shortage like many other companies are suffering from right now, Hotel Zaza staff really went ABOVE & BEYOND to give the best experience to our family which was much appreciated! A very big and special thank you to Eliu and Andrew for making our holiday one to remember. YOU BOTH MAKE HOTEL ZAZA! This experience is why we love and stay Zaza ONLY!

Yelp
I loved the hotel. My first impression at the front desk however wasn't a warm and fuzzy. However, as the days passed, the staff impressed me with their friendliness. The restaurant staff and valet were amazing but be forewarned that they charge an additional 40 a day for parking . There is no free parking. Coffee is outside rooms each day from 6am to 10am which is a nice touch and there is a restaurant/ bar on site. The pool is lovely , there is a spa( I didn't try it) and a nice fitness room. The rooms are very large and the bathrooms are a big also. The lighting isn't the greatest - I love brightly lit rooms . After 5pm , the bar is very lively and fun. My only real disappointment was the food in the restaurant just wasn't good. We ate breakfast and lunch on several occasions and we were not impressed. If your gonna have breakfast get the American Breakfast- it's the best thing on the morning menu. I hope the quality of the food improves . Other than that, it's a great hotel in great location.

Yelp
If you have a nice car that you care about, please do not let valet take your car. My husband and I attend a holiday party and we just had purchased new rims and tires couple of months, we decided to take our nice car and employees at the valet scratched the rims and the company would not take responsibility.. I even spoke with Luis the hotel manager with not further help in this issue. You would think 5 star hotel would help you out with any issue but I felt that no one wanted to help repair the issue. Sadly this situation made us not trust any valet in any hotel, restaurant, etc. I will suggest you park your own car to void a frustration issues and waste your time calling lots if time that leads no where.

Yelp
I booked a room for my mom but let me recognize miss Daisy at the front desk. My mom was not very friendly and Daisy was so accommodating and her customer service was BEYOND. She had surgery the next day and was very moody and Daisy did everything to make sure we were happy! Thank you for your amazing customer service !
