This is a down-to-earth, no non-sense coffee shop in uptown Dallas. Don't be tricked by the ordinary looking storefront. The interior gives you a different feel. It's welcoming, warm, and pleasant. In the center are four six-seat wooden community tables. A few stand-alone lone tables on a raised platform on the left side near the entrance. If you like a street view, you can sit at the patio facing Henderson and McMillan Street.
I ordered a regular latte with 2% milk. Interestingly, they didn't have 2%. But the barista said he could magically turn 1% and 100% full milk into 2%. He looked professional, so I trusted his words. The latte turned out to be with exactly 2% milk. Unbelievable! Seriously, it was creamy, smooth, and foamy. They also have soy and almond milk. I may try that next time.
I'm still scratching my head to understand the intriguing statement "The pattern of coffee and people" on the blank white wall. Maybe if I get enough coffee, I can crack the code.
All the patrons were well disciplined and focused on what they were interested in. It's nice place to get some work done or just relax.
Just a couple of notes for people planning to stay long. I see only a few power outlets. So if you plan to stay long and need power for your laptop or other electronic devices, you need to be sitting close to those strategic spots. Also, the stools don't have back support, so beware of potential back ache :(
