If I could leave 6 stars, I would. I booked a big chop transformation for my friend as a fix to a really bad haircut. It was an emergency rescue. Grace blew us all away! Grace managed to transform the horrible cut into something wonderful and stylish and very much complimentary to my friend. She did a great job at shaping the haircut and keeping it cohesive. Before and afters attached. The shop itself is gorgeous - with incredible interior design and plenty of comfy seating to wait. The receptionist was friendly and offered us water when we arrived. There is a bathroom as well that is maintained nicely. Overall, a very pleasant experience. My friend walked out with a pep in her step and that says it all! Loved this place!

House of AANUKO is my go-to spot for a fresh cut, and I can't recommend it enough! The vibe is always cool and laid-back, making for a really comfortable experience. My stylist, Gianni, is an absolute wizard. My hair is pretty coarse and can be a challenge, but Gianni always knows exactly how to tame it perfectly. Definitely check it out and ask for Gianni!

Had a really great first haircut experience with Grace. She took her time to understand my preferences and did a great job of creating a look that fit my needs and was tailored to me specifically. I got so many comments and attention on my hair after my first haircut with her. Would highly recommend. The spot is really cool too and everyone was very friendly!

Arielle is hands down the best barber to cut my hair. She is professional, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to be around. The barbershop itself has a great atmosphere and never disappoints. I can’t recommend this establishment enough.

Honestly it was worth the journey from the UK to check this place out and it was something special, the staff were amazing in looking after me & took the time to listen and what I want in a haircut! Whenever I’m back in LA i definitely want to check this place out again.

Best barbershop I’ve been to in LA. The stylists are so responsive and helpful. They actually take the time to listen and make sure you the look you want. They’re also great about giving advice and helping you match your hairstyle to your face shape. Personally, I use Aleksei, but everyone seems great. Plus, the space is very cool and fun to be in. Highly recommended.

This place is AMAZING! I went in for a cut and color, and I've never felt so pampered. The staff was super friendly and really listened to what I wanted. My hair looks and feels healthier than ever. Definitely my new go-to salon!

I really want to give this place 1 more chance before deciding this place is not for me. I have had 3 different barbers here and didn't have the best experience. The place is great! the aesthetic definitely 1 of a kind, Never seen a barbershop as cool as this one, sadly, The barbers are the reason I'm leaving this review. 1st barber, the haircuts were good. I would come often but he no showed me twice and cancel another time but never attempted to remediate this. 2nd. it was a last minute haircut. he was new at the time. he was a nice guy. I didn't love the haircut so I knew I was not going to choose him again. today. I had a different barber who couldn't follow instructions. I asked for a fade on the sides and gave me a disconnect "Fade" it feels like my hair starts higher on my head that it should be. He also brushed my hair back and cut it from the back, I have a faux hawk hairstyle and it goes forward. never had a barber brush my hair to the back and cut it like that. After today. It is safe to say I'm not coming back. Not really worth the $80+ hair cut.

This place is AMAZING! I went in for a balayage and the stylist KILLED it. Seriously, my hair has never looked better. The staff was super friendly and the salon itself is gorgeous. Definitely my new go-to spot!

Brian cut my hair and did an incredible job. Got a mid part with mid taper and he executed my idea to perfection. There's something about great barbers like brian who just know what looks good. I left that chair feeling more confident than when I entered in. He's an easy to talk to guy, great with his clips, and knew exactly what I wanted. Just showcases the tier of experiences the folks at Aanuko have.

VERY VIBEY! My friend sent me the reel about this spot and I had to try it - given the matcha fanatic I am. Quite a drive for me, but I would say it was worth it. I snagged some street meter parking and made my way inside. I was greeted upon my arrival and headed straight back to the coffee bar. The lovely Mina helped me out. Her customer service was top tier and we chatted for almost 15 mins. The conversation was effortless and I learned a lot about the drink menu and nearby spots I can check out (per her recommendations) I went ahead and ordered the strawberry Forrest since I love strawberry and matcha - especially together! Quite pricey.. but for the service I think I'd def go back and order again. I want to try other options as well :) Give them a shot. But do keep in mind, they are fairly new to being open to the public for drinks. They might not have sufficient staffing so be considerate and patient with them

I came in for coffee and the place is soo nice. I love the wallpaper on the wall it gives the barbershop that masculine touch. I got the strawberry forest and it was so yummy, it even comes with a full size strawberry. If you are lactose intolerant I suggest taking a lactaid before cause there's no milk substitute for the strawberry forest. They have other options where you can choose the milk but I think for that drink the strawberry milk is already made. I came in the middle of when they were filming and their register was down so they gave me my drink on the house. so nice. I would def be coming back to try other flavors and maybe get my haircut.

This place is a GEM. First off, the vibes are immaculate. As soon as I walked in I was very impressed with the interior design and throughout my whole time there I was finding all lot of attention to detail in the decor. And the coffee shop, are you kidding me? That is the cherry on top. Sergei took absolute care of me and did my hair justice. I was extremely impressed with how much he nailed what I was going for. Looking forward to coming back for sure.

who would've thought this place would have such a vibey coffee shop on the inside! the baristas there actually happy to be there which makes the experience even better. they have an extensive matcha menu which is nice too and the quality of the matcha is high! the prices are definitely more than your average morning coffee run but the taste and vibe may be a good way to justify. if you're here, definitely stay a while as it has a big indoor and outdoor space to be able to work from.

As a whole, I like this place. It was easy to book an appointment, the people working there are super nice and accommodating, the overall vibe is really cool, and I like the coffee! It was my first time here, the guy I booked with was really nice. He asked me questions about my hair, I showed him pictures of what it's been doing lately, throughout the haircut he would stop conversation and ask me details about how I liked my hair, which I really appreciated! You could tell he cares about his craft. Getting your hair washed was cool because they put a warm towel on your face, then sitting back down in the chair my coffee order came and things were going good. The conversation was flowing and I felt like we were on the same page. When he was done, I could tell that he cut one of the sides a little shorter than I wanted and there were some layering things that just didn't look like how I like them, but it could have been the styling and the hair was already cut. When I got home I realized there was a strand (like 10 hairs) in the front that was missed so I cut it myself, no big deal. My wife mentioned the same things I did with one side being shorter and some odd layering thing. It's all good. These types of things happen when you have a new stylist. If I go back I will just explain my thoughts on how it looked last time to see if it could get dialed in better. As a whole, I liked the experience that they curated and was about 80% on the haircut.

Truly an amazing place to get a cut. Everyone is really nice and makes you feel welcomed whether it's your first time or not. I've been going to Angel for about a year and he always comes through. I've received so many compliments on my hair and I know I'm always in good hands with him. I live in the OC area and truly don't mind making the drive out when I know someone like Angel is going to hit it out of the park with every cut I receive.

This place is cooool! Originally a barber shop with coffee for clients, but expanding services to allow patrons from all around to enjoy the barista bar. Complimentary coffee and headshot with barber/stylist appointment, but otherwise people who are just here for the coffee, refer to my picture for coffee prices. The customer service here is spectacular. From the moment we walked in, Joe (the co-owner) greeted us and Mina made our drinks and answered all my questions. They source their beans from Lamill. The dark roast goes into their specialty drinks. They carry whole milk and oat milk. I got the Spanish Kiss half sweet and it was pretty tasty. I may ask for 1/4 sweetness next time. Minty mojito is phenomenal. No WiFi at the moment. They are working the kinks out of their QR so WiFi offerings may change in the future. They have an outdoor patio with chill r&b playing. Street and meter parking is available. Definitely a spot I'd get dressed up and have a catch up date.

Been coming here for a while, tried a couple ARTISTS (yes that's what they all are!) Most recently, found my new go-to! HUEY is the man. I don't even have to tell him how I want my hair, he has the vision from the moment you sit. He KNOWS his craft. Vibes have always and continue to be chill, first timers, you'll get an experience. Check it out!

Sergei has given me some of the best cuts of my life. Ive never kept it long, but he knows exactly what I need and how to make it last. Nor does he ever pressure me to get a cut sooner than needed. Shoot, he even tells me to wait 2 extra weeks but I can't stand myself once the side burns start growing out. This is my favorite self care spot in LA.

Ian always delivers a perfect cut! He has great attention to detail and a friendly service. This accompanied with Aanuko's clean and welcoming space is the reason why I stay a client. Highly recommend!

I love this place so much. Not only is it super close to my house, but it's chic inside, they give you a free coffee if you're getting your haircut, and everyone there are so nice. More importantly, my guy Sergei is the absolute best!! He has been with me through many different haircuts (lmao). I never know exactly what I want, so I just give him a general idea of what I'm looking for, and he executes with perfection. Thank you Sergei!!!!

Ok I found this place from social media, and it is indeed a very beautiful and well curated area (barber shop + barista bar in the back, with a couple of couches and tables if you wanted to hang out), but dang these are very much LA prices. I was only here for coffee and nearly every drink was near $10 for a 16 oz cup. Like at least put it in a 24 oz cup with more ice to make it feel worth it?? The strawberry matcha was really good at least, but I think I'll only come back if I wanted to hang out in this beautiful space (I really loved the tile everywhere and they also had a patio out back). Metered street parking was easy in this area and if you come in from Washington, head to the back left if you're there for coffee. The barista and the receptionist were super friendly too. Overall, it's definitely one of the best cafes looks wise with decent drinks, but you'll be paying a premium for it!

Hit this place up and ask for my man Ariel and he will take care of all your barbering needs! Out of all of the barbers I have been to. The service, the comfort, the conversations, and the cut itself has never been better. As soon as I sat down, I really felt as though his focus was on service and making me, as a customer happy. After sitting down he asked me what I was looking for, what I have done in the past, and if I was comfortable with trying new styles out. After a short consultation, the final cut took around an hour and I was blown away by the texture, the tightness of the fade, and how he shaped the cut to my scalp. I've had good cuts before, but cuts that don't fit my head well. Because of my weird head shape I sometimes come out the shop looking like bernie from sesame street. Ariel did not skip a beat and was point on. Aside from the cut, AAUKO provided a refreshment with the cut. The entire shop was clean from the moment I walked in, sat down, went to the bar area, or used the bathroom. The barbers themselves were extremely friendly and I found myself having conversations with barbers outside of Ariel. Vibes here are immaculate. Wallpaper is straight Gucci. They have an entire photo/video studio section with professional lights. A podcast room is in the works. Fellas, this place is an elevated barber experience. Without a single doubt in my mind, if you try this place, you'll find yourself coming back. Give it a try. Vibe. And hit my man Ariel

Honestly love the vibe here, but really gotta give my barber really giving me the best experience making me always wanting to come back. I've been going to Grace my barber for almost 6 years or so, and no matter which location it's always the best service, with the cleanest cuts and updated styles, to even the chill conversations to wind down, you honestly get the whole package! I highly recommend Grace if you ever come on down to House of AANUKO, definitely never let me down!

I've been going to this place for a while and bc I liked my barber I never cared for the one hour drive I had to make. However the last time I booked an appointment there was an accident on the 405 and missed the wait period by 5 minutes and they refused to give me a cut even though I just wanted to take some off the top and it would literally take 20 minutes. They charged me $50. I always go there on time and tip and texted my barber letting him know that there was an accident. It felt like they just wanted to not do any work and just get the 50, not caring I drove 1 hour and the reason I was late was completely out of my hands. Never going back

I had seen this place on tik tok and looked so good I had to take a drive for it. The coffee spot is inside a barber shop which I thought was a cool idea. I had seen the strawberry matcha on a video but what i got unfortunately did not look anything like it :( I wanted to give the flavor a chance but the matcha was more water than matcha and the strawberry did not balance, so sad because it was also pricier than an average matcha...

Perfect combination of coffee bar, relaxed atmosphere and talented stylists made for an outstanding experience for my almost grown son. Gianni did a terrific job for him, but everyone who walked out of Aanuko left with confidence and a great look.

Came in with 19 months of overgrown hair. Sergei absolutely nailed the style I was going for. So much precision with the scissors. Haven't been this happy with a haircut in literal years! 11/10 Environment is incredible, complementary latte during my cut, great people, 100% returning!

Found this place through instagram randomly and so happy that I did! Service is top notch. From the moment you walk in, you can expect to be greeted by either the receptionist or the founder Joe himself. Upon checking in they'll ask if you want a complementary drink and that Spanish Latte hits. The interior and design lay out really bring this place to life as well. Ari is my barber and has been nothing but amazing! From recommendations on the type of hairstyle, product to use, and how to style it. Expect to get the full experience of getting a cut, quick hair wash, hot towel. Parking is metered on street Price is on par with any other high end barbershop.

Huey is so freaking amazing first off! I have been following him for years so when I found out he was here I had to book an appt for my son. He is so beyond talented with the scissors and clippers. His personality is amazing and he connected with my son as soon as he came to greet us. My son loves his hair cuts and it gives him a boost of confidence! Huey is literally the best! Gotta shout out Christian! He is great company!!! The studio is super vibrant and clean! It feels so nice and fresh walking in. Everyone is kind and smiles or says hi. It's an amazing vibe for sure!

This is my second time I've been and I can't recommend this place enough! The ambiance is very modern and hip, the staff are super friendly, and the stylists are extremely talented and helpful. Max gave me a beard trim and gave me many pointers on how to maintain a sharp look on a daily basis at home. Mina made sure I was comfortable, and made sure I knew that I got a complimentary drink at their coffee bar. I got the ginger cookie latte and it is one of the best out there!! Please visit them for all your barber needs, or just stop by for a cup of coffee! This is a great place!!

This place is the best. I've jumped around from barbershops trying to find the place and person to cut my hair correctly. And this is it. Aaron is my go to guy he communicates with what we can do and asks what id like to do. We always do the same cut but each time it's perfect. It doesn't hurt that they have a great coffee bar. If you're a girl looking for a place where you won't get that weird barbershop energy I'd highly recommend coming here.

I'm usually a little nervous about going to new places, but the atmosphere here helped me feel calm. My mood lifted as I walked through the Aanuko doors. I felt welcomed and Arielle (@bossbabyblends) offered me a drink before I sat down. When I get a haircut, I want my stylist to consider my unique needs and confidently tackle the vision. Few can make hair comply (double front cow-licks), but Arielle did! She cut, washed, and styled my hair while teaching me how to maintain my hair between cuts. From the welcome, the cut, the conversation--I was out the door happy. Aanuko provides all the little things that make it worth my time. I feel like they're perfecting the balance of high quality and reasonable service. If you're anywhere near LA, this is it.

The House of Aanuko is a vibe! My first time coming was for their soft opening and I had Arielle as my hair stylist. She was so knowledgeable on what style would look best for my hair type without compromising what I wanted which was keeping the length & volume. Arielle also educated me on each step she took and made me feel super comfortable with the vision she had for my hair. Arielle was genuinely easy to talk to and made my first time experience so lovely! Aanuko also has beautiful seating areas inside and out with a coffee bar! Everything felt so inviting and more then just a barber shop. I look forward to making The House of Aanuko my 3rd place :)

Just got a Suppa Clean Cut! Josh absolutely deserves all 5-Star Rating, He is very keen to detail and gives all attention to you, Takes his time to make sure everything is good. Josh made sure I loved my haircut before I left the shop. In other places that I have been it's more like get things done quick! and on to the next customer , he would spend the whole hour taking care of your hair. I was treated more like a guest and a friend rather than just another client. The environment was super chill and clean , all the staff workers were very friendly. It was nice meeting Joe took his time talking to me and discussing about my hairstyle Very down to earth and friendly guy , you can tell he's very passionate and cares about his work. Definitely coming back here again!

I've been looking for a go-to barber in LA for over a year and finally found it. Ask for Ian. Best fade. The vibes in this place are unlike any other barber shop you'll find. On top of that, there's a coffee/matcha shop inside that comps you a free drink with your hair service.

I had a great experience at Aanuko. The staff is attentive and agile to detail. Traveling to LA, I was in search for a trustworthy barbershop in the area. Look no further you are in good hands at Aanuko. Aaron was very easy going and carried a great conversation. As a added bonus, the barbershop has an exquisite interior, uses Hanz de Fuko hair products (they smell so good) and a coffee shop! You must try the Spanish latte! Whenever I'm back in town for a work trip, I definitely will return to Aanuko.

It was my first time going to a barbershop and cutting my hair short, so I was very anxious about the whole process, but everyone there was really friendly and welcoming! Joe walked me through the check-in process and offered coffee, which was very good! Arielle was my stylist and from start to finish, she explained everything so well and made sure that I was comfortable, which I truly appreciated! We had lots of random conversations that helped me be more relaxed and engaged with the experience itself, which I haven't seen much at other shops I've been to. I'm not familiar with styling short hair and what products to use that are suited for my hair texture, but she shared very useful tips and explained which products to use. I have thin, straight, and fine hair, so she used Hanz de Fuko Sponge Wax for pre-styling and the Quicksand for styling. I didn't have my glasses on for most of the process and when I finally put my glasses on to see the results, I was shocked to see how different my hair was in terms of texture and volume! Absolutely. Magical. Definitely will be coming back for another cut in the future! The overall experience was delightful and again, I appreciate the kindness and thoughtfulness of everyone I interacted with while I was there :))

I had a wedding to attend and I needed a cut for my wild hair. Christian is part of the Aanuko origins and I highly recommend booking an appointment with him. Christian lightened up my mushroom shaped hair and gave me a cut unlike any other. House of Aanuko has great vibes, excellent staff and service. You can ask for something very specific and also give room to the stylist for customization. Loved my cut, my girl loved my cut and it was light for the hot wedding day. It is not cheap, you get what you pay for.

The first thing I want to note is that House of Aanuko is a beautiful barbershop. From the chairs, mirrors, and wallpaper; it all looks great. It was super spacious and it gave off really warm energy, which is always nice. To my experience: Arielle was my stylist when I come in. I was running a little late and she was really chill about it. And I really appreciated that. When I first walked through the doors, I was greeted and offered a drink by Arielle. Then she guided me to her chair and we started talking about what I wanted. She listened and gave some helpful advice about my hair. Whenever I visit a new barbershop, I tend to be anxious about the end result, but not this around. Arielle listened to what I said and what I wanted and, did her best to make it happen. Throughout the cut, we talked about random things about life, and she made me feel relaxed and less anxious. So I got my hair cut, washed, and styled. In the end, I really like my haircut, simple as that. When I was getting my hair cut, I saw a person that looked familiar; it was Joe from Blumaan. I had no idea he was one of the owners. I learned to style my hair from watching his videos on Youtube, so I was bewildered when I saw him there. After my cut, I got to meet Joe and David (one of the other owners, I believe) and they were super friendly and chill. Overall, the aesthetic and atmosphere at House of Aanuko are great. Arielle is super talented, skillful, easy to talk to, and overall a great person. I will come back and get a haircut from her again. Everyone I met that day was cool. My first experience at House of Aanuko was great.

This place is nice! Love the aesthetic of this place. You just feel at ease coming in. Kinda like a cool lounge. They offer you a drink upon check in. I had an iced coffee, probably the best iced coffee I had. She made it so perfect! haha I need to know how they make that iced coffee with milk horchata cinnamon drink lol On to the haircut.. Josh was my barber. As per usual I don't know what to do with my hair.. Or always end up just cutting the sides and a bit off the top. Josh made some suggestions. I was like, ok, sounds good. Just do what you think would look good. Well he did and I love my haircut. I already booked my appointment for next month. I found my new barber. Thanks Josh!

This is the best place I have ever been to get a haircut. The vibe is cool and creative. Right when I walked in I loved how cool, colorful and creative everything was, from the wallpaper to the furniture. It's really big and open, so the spaciousness is also calming. But despite this place being super hip, there is absolutely zero attitude and everyone is super super friendly. You know how so many salons act like they're superior and you're lucky to be there? AANUKO is the total opposite! I have never felt more welcome at a barbershop, salon, or anything of that ilk. And they aren't being fake nice. Everyone seems to be so happy to be there. Like my barber, Josh. He was a super guy with magic hands that knew how to use that razor and scissors. It was like watching a sculptor do his art. He took the time to ask what I was looking for, and really educated me throughout the process of getting the haircut. You really do leave this place on a high, something that never happens when you go to get your haircut. I'm glad I found this place, and I wish them huge success. I booked my next appointment already.
