I recently visited House of Corn in Salt Lake City, and it was an absolute standout for authentic Mexican food. This spot truly lives up to its name, focusing on fresh, handmade corn tortillas in different varieties (blue, red, yellow) that elevate every dish.
We ordered the enchiladas and the quesabirria (those cheesy, crispy birria tacos with tender beef and that rich consommé for dipping). Everything was amazing – the enchiladas were perfectly sauced with flavorful fillings wrapped in those incredible homemade tortillas, and the quesabirria was juicy, melty, and packed with bold, authentic flavors. The birria meat was fall-apart tender, and dipping the tacos in the broth took it to another level.
The portions were generous, the ingredients tasted fresh and high-quality, and the whole experience felt like a real taste of traditional Mexican cuisine without any Tex-Mex shortcuts. If you’re craving genuine flavors and especially love corn-based dishes done right, this is a must-try. Highly recommend – definitely coming back soon! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
