The CUTEST bar in downtown! The vibe is so perfect for date night or casual drinking with friends. They have the coolest decorations and video booth area. The drinks are cheaper and smaller, but they’re strong and delicious!

We had our besties birthday get together there Saturday night and this place DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!!! It was literally perfect from the bubble machine to dressing up as Elvis to playing cards against humanity. Literally perfection! The owner is absolutely amazing and came in clutch for our group! Thank you for one of the best nights ever!

I gave this spot a try and I enjoy it. They have games that you can play while enjoying a nice beverage. I had a glass of wine. I wasn’t to fund of the mix drink options. You can dress up in costumes when you go. The music selection is nice. It’s a quiet laidback vibe. The only thing I would recommend is better drink options.

I took my sister here last night after we left an event we had gone to earlier that night. I loved Atomic when it was around, and I had one of my best dates there. So when I originally came to House of Found Objects (HoFO), I kept comparing it to that date and it didn’t quite live up. It was still such a cool environment that I knew my sister would love it. A different experience and expectation was exaclty what I needed to get a fresh read on the bar. We. Had. A. BLAST! We sat in the lower level, red-room and played a game while we waited for our drinks. Our server was Cat and she was so nice, helpful, and upbeat. The music choices were top notch and the drinks were delicious and adorable! The bubble machines overhead came on twice while we were there, which was so unexpected and fun. We made sure to hop in the photo booth/video booth before we left for a chance at being on the big screen. I can’t wait to go back and show other friends this amazing spot. Thanks for a good time HoFO! You make Birmingham even cooler!

Get ready for one of the best experiences you will have at a cocktail bar! The moment you step into this Meow Wolf style bar you feel like you were zapped into a Flaming Lips music video! The music, videos, bubbles, and all things objects will keep you entertained all night. It also helps that the cocktail menu is fun and exciting. If you are in Birmingham, Alabama and don’t go to this place you must hate having fun! Enjoy!

This is the best bar you can go to. The owner is one of the coolest people, prices are so fair, and the bartenders are some of the nicest people you'll meet. The atmosphere is so amazing too. 10/10 recommend

Went for pre dinner birthday cocktails and we were so glad we made this the first stop of our evening. Super fun place, very creative and very engaging experience. All the weird and quirky things to look at were so imaginative and amazing!

THE OWNER AND BAR STAFF GAVE US A NIGHT WE WILL NEVER FORGET. I won't spoil the surprise experience we were gifted as I assume they use this bit for unsuspecting patrons. I don't want to take away the the organic moment of shock and humor from any potential visitors. However, I will say the level of "crowd participation" given to us was unbeatable. Some back story, we are a group of three best friends who don't get to spend as much time together as we did in our younger years. We were lucky to go on an out of state work trip together this weekend. The trip had been difficult with some minor obstacles and our morale was low by the time we walked in the door. The moment we walked inside we were instantly stimulated by the ambiance, decor and energy. The owner singled us out and some how knew my friend was in need of a good time. We were treated like old friends by the employees. Julia the bartender was so funny and kind and had all of us laughing with out even trying. Patrick spent a lot of time engaging with us including playing random trivia games, giving us riddles to solve. Mary Rose was really sweet and has a chill energy to her. Everyone we interacted with for hours seemed genuinely happy to be there. The owner as we called him "Mr Owner" treated us like royalty. By the end of the night he has given us temporary tattoos and core mementoes we will cherish for the rest of our lives. We had no intentions of closing out our night there but were so enchanted by the staff and atmosphere that we never left. We all travel for a living and work in a huge industry that travels. I WILL NEVER stop recommending Birmingham as a getaway and at the very top of my list will forever be The House of Found Objects Please stop by, please dive in to the decor and all the eclectic details in the building. I don't think you'll regret it. This bar feels like it's for the people. The only regret I have about the experience is we couldn't stay forever and wish we could have tipped even more because the staff undoubtedly deserves it.

I was very excited to visit the House of Found Objects after my friend had raved about it. She described the various areas throughout the bar from the "cool, half-height upstairs" to the "womb-themed room downstairs" When we visited on Friday, we politely asked our waitress if we could look around. She hesitantly said yes, which I found strange. Nevertheless, my friends and I got up and began to wander around the place, admiring the decor. Apparently, this was unacceptable to the owner who verbally accosted us while we were on our way upstairs to view the "half-room" He told us that we had an assigned seating area and quickly ushered us back. I have no problem with the bar having rules about walking around (which I am sure are in place for the comfort of their other patrons) But, I do have a problem with being yelled at like a child. I would prefer that the House of Found Objects explain their prohibition on wandering upfront so that curious patrons don't have to experience being screamed at by that small man.

So so neat and unique! Definitely a quirky place but everyone's extremely friendly and helpful. I feel like they really love their job. The womb room is a must see if it's available. Just ask your server or bartender to see it. Drinks were pricey and small. Will return!

What an interesting and amazing experience my friends and I had here! We were treated exceptionally well by our server and the owner. We want to come back soon! The bar is full of eclectic objects and the messages they have on them reminds me of the movie They Live. It's best to come here with a group of friends because when you sit down at a table they'll give you a few games to play, such as Cards Against Humanity. It was my friend's birthday and we did a shot with the owner and he gave us each a bite of chocolate cake with birthday candles to blow out. The staff made us felt very special and welcome when we were there. I would give more stars if I could!

HIghly reccommend. I read about this place on YELP and it lived up to the hype. So cool and ecclectic. Yummy drinks. Fabulous and fun atmosphere. The waiter was part of the fun as well as the management. I agree, if it's open you must visit the womb room. lol I went with a group 5. We drank, laughed, played games and had a great time.

This place is like nothing you've ever seen! From the moment you walk in, there's something to catch your eye in every direction. You'll have to show your ID to be seated, so be sure to have that ready. The seating areas themselves are an entire experience. Jungle themed areas in the front, a groovy 70s vibe lounge area and private booths accommodate any size party. And the menu of $12 featured cocktails is sure to have something for everyone, even if you're looking for a NA option. You'll want to come back again and again!

What a cool and quirky place! A friend and I checked out this great bar before a show recently and we loved it! There's a big screen that constantly plays footage from inside a Photo Booth that's very interesting. There are costumes you can wear while you're hanging out, but we didn't because we had to leave fairly quickly. The cocktails are inventive and fun. I had the Justine shroeder and the Ryan Reese and they were both delicious! Will definitely be suggesting this place for our next girls night out!

Such a cool spot! The bartenders and servers are great, and it's such a blast from the past! I like that they only allow people to sit so you don't feel cramped.

You'll likely have to stand in line to be seated so use that time to browse all of the cool trinkets and pictures against the wall. As you keep entering you'll see clouds hanging from the ceiling, neat wall patterns, and beautiful plants tucked near your seat. The bartenders are super friendly and can help you find something that piques your interest. Our server was funny and helped us navigate the menu. We sat in this cool upstairs space and got to look out at the entire venue, which was awesome. The music selection was 80's jams that night, but the owner was mingling around asking people if they had any special requests. It's a jazzy casual vibe, so feel free to wear heels and a cute blouse. Not your fanciest outfit but also not your most casual. Great place for a date night or for introducing new people to the city!

Very unique eclectic bar, definitely one of a kind. Great cocktails. Random trinkets and decor scattered about. Seems like the new popular, trendy spot. There was a bit of a wait when we came by, waited about 10-15 mins. We tried a couple cocktails. Justine Schroeder: I've never before seen a cocktail that includes red pepper flakes and spicy honey. It honestly works, but not only does it work, it's one of the most delicious cocktails I've had. It's well-balanced, sweet with a little kick. I highly recommend. Kaylor Kidd: The bartender recommended this one, it's one of the most popular cocktails on the menu. I can see why, it's easy to drink, but it just feels like a standard typical cocktail. Didn't stand out to me, was just eh. I preferred the one above, by far.

BUT FIRST COCKTAILS! A friend and I have been on The House of Found Object's radar since they first opened their doors. From what I have gathered is that the owner who once owned Atomic here in Birmingham, closed its doors last year. But he stuck around the Birmingham area. And thank GOD he did. He opened this wonderful cocktail bar, a year or so after Atomic closed its doors. As much as we are sad that Atomic closed, we should all be grateful that he stuck around and opened a new concept. THOFO is a wonderful experience. We had to wait in a bit of a line before coming in to enjoy, but that made no difference to us. We just ate a large meal at El Barrio, next door, and needed a bit of time to digest our meals. After our sit we were called inside and brought upstairs to our space. I love how everyone who comes here gets a different experience when they are here. This alone makes this bar different then any other bar in Birmingham. Every time you come you will be seated in another wondrous space to explore. Like other reviews, I don't want to give too much away. But just know that there are different sections of the bar and they all are themed differently. The drinks are the same regardless of where you sit in the bar. Though I wish that each section had a signature drink that is devoted to where you sit. I think this would elevate the experience even more. The menu has a lot of different drinks to choose from. There are some cocktails on the menu that are non alcoholic too which is great in two ways. If you want to still have a fun "cocktail" but want to begin the sobering up process before going home. It is great for that. It is also great for those who do not drink, but still want to enjoy being out with friends who might be drinkers, but not be stuck drinking a soda or a water. This is one of those bars you need to come and experience it for yourself. There is so much to do and so many things to see, you cannot do that all in one night or time here. You just need to keep coming back for more. I will be back for sure. I am hoping it is here to stay!

Love it! Bubbles, cookies, and costumes just to name a few fun things to experience while sipping a dynasty drink of either an alcohol or non-alcohol style drink. Lots of fun things everywhere!! A real highlight and hidden gem of B-ham. The service was wonderful and being on my own it was fun chatting with incredibly nice servers about the place, including the owner who gave me a grand tour. It capped off my night and will always be a fond memory of my few days in B-bam.

Birmingham's chicest new bar. This place is exquisite! Feizal Valli had such a huge success with The Atomic, and he's back again with an even better nightspot! Feizal was working the door the night we arrived. The place is orderly, even though it's a super hot ticket right now. We got right in and were shown to a cosmic little booth. Cocktails were AMAZING! Of course, the Legendary Sex Panther is back, but everything was delicious. We just started at the top of the menu and ordered down from there, since everything looked delicious. We were not disappointed!

A close friend and I recently came here for drinks after hearing raving reviews from friends about this bar. I must say we had a unique experience. The decor in this bar is uniquely amazing! The owner was very nice and took us on a tour. You can definitely tell they he takes pride in his bar and paid close attention to detail in designing every aspect of this place. I'm nowhere near creative, but bit I really appreciate art and creative designs. Everywhere you go or turn there's something unique to see and admire. Not only was the decor amazing, but the drinks are delightful. I asked the server to have the bartender make me a sweet alcoholic beverage where I could not taste the alcohol. He did just that because after one delicious drink I could barely stand up straight, so I definitely got my money's worth. Oh yes, the name of the car is very suitable as well. It reminds me of a speak easy. It's not easy to locate and you can't find it simply by driving by. You will need to use landmarks and look closely. They don't serve food, so I would recommend eating a snack or something light beforehand to absorb the alcohol. Overall, I highly recommend this bar and plan to return in the near future.

If you can survive the wait to get seated, HOFO is a fabulous bar!! To be fair to the establishment, not all my party had arrived when I first got there, but even after they did, we had about a 40 minute wait to be seated (another reason is probably because we had an awkward party size of 3 people - but still, there were a couple of parties behind us who got seated first which was a little frustrating). The reason for this is that they do not allow people to stand around crowding up the bar. Once you are inside, this is HUGELY refreshing! The noise level is more moderate than your usual crowded bar, and the ambiance is perfect with glowy orange lighting. The decor is deliciously tacky. I don't know about you, but I hate having people breathing down my neck when I am trying to enjoy a drink, so I really enjoyed the elbow room once I was seated. The staff are expert and extremely nice. My friends and I ordered the Justine, Mandy, and Devin. I enjoyed my friend's Justine the best! Don't let egg whites put you off a drink!! It just makes it frothy and rich and doesn't taste like eggs at all. I really appreciated the service, the drinks, and the atmosphere. I'm just not sure if I'm down to wait an hour again to be seated at a bar.

Welcome to downtown Birmingham! I really don't even want to tell you what's in store here. It's eclectic and entertaining. Practice your monologue beforehand, maybe draft a poem OK, no more hints. Go check it out! They just opened last week!

Such a fun night! My friend and I stumbled across this place after leaving dinner from Le Fresca. My drinks were absolutely delicious and the whole time we were there I just kept noticing more and more details. The bartenders were just as entertaining as well! I can't wait to go back

Great fun bar, but with a not-so-great line. I love house of found objects! The drinks are great, super fun ambiance, and pricing isn't super stupid. My only negative is that the line situation needs to be fixed. Currently you are written down on a white board and they will just call you when it's ready. Worst part is that there is no place to wait, so you have to end up going to another bar or restaurant nearby for that reason. If they could create a text notification system, that great! Besides this- I'd still recommend.

The Justine Shroeder is the best cocktail I've ever had. When I do manage to break away and try something new, it's always incredible. The ambience is stunning and the service is always fantastic. My favorite cocktail bar ever!

This place is really fun with some great drink options. The inside is neatly decorated and keeps your eyes wandering. It was pretty crowded which was expected but we only ended up waiting outside about 15 minutes. I look forward to going back!

Short story...super unique place in Bham that's a must do for great drinks lots of laughs and friendly people. Every drink we tried was good but the Sex Panther was probably my favorite. I went here with my sister at about 9ish on a Thursday night and the place was vibrant without being crammed packed. When we left a few hours later there were probably about the same amount of people of not a little more. 1. Every drink I had or anyone I talked to had was a winner. Everyone was happy with the top level mixology. 2. The bartenders were super fun and quick 3. Cool cups and glasses 4. Everywhere you look there's something interesting to look at...EVERYWHERE 5. Someone actually sat in a seat on the other side of the bar as his seat! 6. Lots of fun old school games. I had fun with my friends and some new friends with a Family Feud card game! 7. The owner took us on a tour of the soon to open Womb Room and told us a few ideas about some upcoming shows. 8. Each table has its own unique theme. You can't beat that! 9. Incredible decor in the bathroom 10. I won't say what it was to spoil the surprise but one of the servers did something hilarious and creative that I would have never imagined. So cool and I can't wait to go back just to see that happen again. 10/10 I will be back and bring more friends!

Such a unique bar with a vibe that welcomes individuality. I love all the fun and eclectic items in the bar. And the drinks were phenomenal. Service was top-tier.

Very disappointed. Spoke with a person about reservations for their New Year's Eve celebration a month ago and thought I had reserved a table for 2. No payment arrangements were sent by the person I spoke with, even though he said we had reserved a table. We went to the establishment and found out we did not have reservations. We stayed for a little bit, had a few drinks, and left. The manager did try to seat us but was callous and rude.

The House of Found Objects is like a living version of I Spy mixed with cool drink menu. We stumbled on this bar while waiting for table to open at restaurant up the street. Nice, friendly service. Exceptional drinks. Cool place.

Perfect location right next to great restaurants, consistently solid cocktails - the 'Atomic Bar' is back in Birmingham; great news!

A truly amazing experience. This place comes from bartender Feizel Valli, who welcomed us warmly on opening night. The place looks small when you enter, but there is a lot to take in. The space is deep and has two levels. One will be in awe of the meticulous engineering and design expertise. The entire place is a work of art, social commentary, and insightful experience. The cocktails were great, all on the very sweet side. I highly recommend the nonalcoholic option+add gin if you're feeling exciting. The Laurie Rapier was also delicious. All cocktails are a flat price of $12. They offer a variety of wines and beers as well. My group and I got seated relatively quickly for arriving on welcoming night! Service was quick and welcoming as well. I recommend playing Jenga or Headbanz, as there are many board games available throughout the premises. I promise you won't leave without feeling some type of way. Take time to walk the bar and you won't be disappointed.

The definition of eclectic! This bar is worth the wait to get in. It offers Atomics classic 'sex panther' drink and comes equipped with Elvis onesies. Lots of fun oddities mixed throughout. A must-do in birmingham!!!!

This place is a must do and top place to see if you are traveling through Birmingham. Crazy stuff and new surprises around every corner. We sat in the "DJ booth" and had plenty of things to keep us entertained. Cassette players, record players, and tuners gave us plenty of buttons to push. Drinks were top notch. We have the Devin O'Neill, Blair Gaither, and Cameron Champagne. All of them were so good. A+++

I have heard great things about this place, fun costumes and fun atmosphere. However, I chose to take my friends from out of town here and it was embarrassing. We arrived from another bar and Found Objects did not serve us. Found Objects said they could not serve us and had no explanation. We were quite excited to try a new establishment with friends. We had been at a previous establishment and only had 1-2 drinks per person. I was ashamed to bring my friends there and do not plan on going back.

We were so excited to try this place based on the reviews. We showed up after 1-2 drinks and were immediately refused service. We brought a group of girls thinking it would be a fun ambiance, but after we ordered one round of drinks we were immediately cut off with no explanation. The bartenders were rude and did not cooperate at all, and provided no explanation. We were horrified by the service and lack of communication, despite the costumes that insinuate a casual atmosphere.

Cute place but that's all left over from the previous business. Old host dude has a sh*t attitude. Was meeting friends who were already here and they had to come get me because he wouldn't let me "just wander around". Total jerks for no good reason. No one is trying to sneak into this place, get over yourselves. The service, however, is much better. We had the handsome waiter upstairs with the septum piercing and his service was perfection

This was one of the most unique little bars I've ever visited. I would definitely return strictly for the ambiance. We were with another couple and we totally enjoyed playing jenga and other games at the table with our cocktails. Service was good and Martinis were unique although mine was with jalapeño. Although I enjoy jalapeños and spicy, it was a little too much for me. I would chose another drink in the future. Would definitely recommend this unique little bar!!

The former Atomic Lounge has much the same vibe and the excellent cocktails. It is kitschy and casual, a good place for a second date -- assuming that coffee is now the mandated first encounter.

We went to House of Found Objects Saturday and it was so much fun. The bartender made me a special off the menu drink and it was delicious. My husband (who usually hates the public) basically fell in love with Ricky who made our rare date night so special and fun. You will have a blast at this bar, the owner works the door thats how much care is at this place. Elmos and Elvis run wild and the talent of the bartenders to create is so impressive

Such a fun place. We had great drinks along with great service and a highly competitive game of Uno. Highly recommend for their eclectic decor, special atmosphere and amazing cocktails!

Incredibly fun ambience, on par with the Atomic, if not moreso.. I'm glad to have the Sex Panther back but the other drinks failed to meet my expectations. Might just be me since I prefer classic tasting cocktails and many on the menu are very outside the box with flavors like pepper, cucumber, tea, etc. that won't stop me from coming back but next time I might just go off menu and get a boring martini.

We showed up and let them know we would have a table of 11 and asked if they would be able to accommodate. They said yes and checked our IDs. We waited 40 minutes outside with no update and then when we said we were leaving to let them know we didn't need the table anymore, they said "ok good we weren't ever going to be able to seat yall anyways." Didn't think that was very appropriate to say nor respectful to make us wait for a table that would never become available.
