Diner with huge menu, signature pies, open late

"As one of LA’s most distinct diners, House of Pies has all the makings of an ideal stop before or after a concert. It’s open daily from 7 a.m. until 1 a.m., with traditional fare for dinner including buttermilk pancakes, french toast, and waffles any time of day. For dinner, opt for the pot pies, fish and chips, or country-fried steak. But always leave room for pie. Just pick a filling, whether strawberry, pecan, key lime, cherry, or peach. It’s likely that House of Pies has it." - Mona Holmes
"We get it. It’s fun to rag on House of Pies. The service is terrible, your food may or may not come out in a timely manner, and your odd nocturnal neighbor who moonlights as a writer probably told you they like to do work here. However, when it’s 2am and you've just come out of a midnight showing at the Los Feliz 3, there’s nowhere better to grab a cup of coffee or slice of room-temperature pie than this Vermont Avenue staple. Plus, there’s a hidden parking lot in the back." - sylvio martins, brant cox
"Final dress was a complete sh*t show. The lighting board crashed, one of the chorus girls didn’t show up, and you rolled your ankle doing an overly confident barrel turn. It’s times like these when you go to House of Pies. Skip the food menu and focus on the cream-based pies instead. It’s open until 2am daily." - brant cox
"House of Pies has been an Eastside go-to for late-night food since 1969, and while you should definitely ignore their full food menu, few things are as satisfying as smashing these pies into your mouth after a long night of drinking or seeing a show at the Greek. Their pie menu is extensive, but if we can offer up one tip, it’s to stick to anything with cream in the name. Open till 2am on weekdays, 3am on the weekends." - brant cox
"Whether it’s fruit pies, cream pies, cheesecake, or sundaes, this classic Los Feliz coffee shop has your sweet-tooth cravings covered. Takeout and delivery available daily from 9am-9:30pm." - brant cox
