Yelp
I came here with my family for a birthday celebration. I am not usually a huge fan of BBQ food, as I am not one that can eat a whole lot of meats. I am more of a sides kind of gal. We came here on a recommendation and for starters, the vibe, views, and atmosphere was really spot on. We decided to dine outside, and the weather was just perfect for it. The views are also spectacular as it was by the water.
We ordered the loaded nachos, the smoked wings, and egg rolls. The loaded nachos were mediocre, it was not anything too special, but the portions were decently sized. The wings were def. smokey and really flavorful; however, we had hoped the meat would be a bit more juicy/tender, which was not. The egg rolls were really good, it was crunchy/flakey and the filling as cheesy.
For the mains, we got the Pitmaster's Pick, which contained 1 lb of brisket, 4 ribs, 4 sausages, 1/2 smoked chicken, with a side of mac n cheese and collard greens. The meats (brisket, chicken, ribs) were generally very dry and lacked the smokey flavor. It did not appear to be smoked and the brisket especially did not have that "fall apart" factor. The meats were nevertheless "alright" in overall flavor, but the texture was lacking.
The prices for the food was a bit high as well, and while we did not mind paying a higher price, the food quality did not meet those standards.
