Where To Eat Outside In Jersey City & Hoboken

"Two things to know about the outdoor dining at this BBQ spot in Hoboken: you can reserve an outdoor table ahead of time online through their website here, and it’s important that you order brisket and sausage while you’re there. Also - their Weehawken location is open for outdoor dining as well." - hannah albertine, nikko duren, matt tervooren

20 Spots In Jersey City & Hoboken Open For Indoor Dining Today

"With waterfront views of the Manhattan skyline, the outdoor patio at this BBQ spot always has some of the best views in Hoboken. But there are a couple ways to make the scenery at an indoor table similarly impressive. First, go when you want to be surrounded by sports on TV, and second, make sure there’s a five-pound bucket of 48-hour smoked wings, or a couple orders of brisket in the foreground." - matt tervooren

Where To Watch Sports Outside In NYC

15 Top Restaurants in Hoboken - Eater NY

"This handsome casual restaurant with massive amounts of seating indoors and outdoors offers spectacular views of the Hudson River, and is a great destination for beer and cable sports. Though the barbecue itself is sometimes just so-so, the drinking snacks are often fabulous. The burgers are big and smoky, the hot dogs sluiced with smoked brisket chili, crema, and pico de gallo, served with decent french fries (tuck a few in the bun for a spectacular meal). Nachos, wings, and mac and cheese are also above average for a bro-y hang of this sort." - Robert Sietsema

Small group of 3 decided to stop by and check this place out. We were sat pretty quickly and had a sever just shortly after take our order. I went with the chicken tenders and corn bread. The food was cooked perfectly and the corn bread wasn’t overly dry. We also got an appetizer of chips and salsa. The backed potato was excellent. Overall, everything was good.

Ordered delivery, and this is what I got. Food was stale and the rib cuts were atrocious. I wouldn’t even feed that to a dog. I called the store and the manager disconnected the phone call after placing me on hold. I had an option to eat at another BBQ place but I chose this one. Regrets, regrets. Never again.

Google
House of 'Que is a barbeque restaurant inside American Dream Mall. I came her during lunch hour, so it wasn't as packed. The chicken wrap with sweet potato fries and the Sloppy Texan with curly fries were delicious. Food came out quickly and staffs were polite. If you're a fan of BBQ and looking for a lively, Texas-style dining experience, House of 'Que could be a good choice for you.

The salsa for the chips are now “homemade” The smoked brisket doesnt taste like smoked and the texture is tough. Overall food is …. Disappointed

First off, how can you call yourself a Texas BBQ joint, have Shiner Bock on the menu and then not have it in stock!!!! Pure sacrilege!!! And you even have the Shiner sign above your stage!!! Now to the further disappointments… Was looking forward to eating here all day. Was sadly disappointed to no end. So much hype thrown online of having been trained and studied in Texas. Maybe the owner was trained, but he failed to pass on anything. Chicken & Waffles is like those waffles you get in the Mall with some frozen kids meal chicken fingers. Did not taste house-made at all. The Pork Belly was a disaster and tasted like the sauce was an after thought. It had ‘grill-marks’… who does that to Que’d or smoked belly, who? No flavor, tasted so bland, and zero smoke ring or smokiness. Then the 3-cheese nachos. Yeah-no. Food was cold. Then there’s the so-called Potato Salad. Tasted like cold mashed potatoes. No seasoning, no ingredients like they have in Texas. Then there comes the hyped 48-hr wings. It took them that long to thaw from the freezer. They were not bad, but nothing that says ‘we love cooking’. The brisket chili was really good… and the only hot food we received. I have been to Austin too many times to count. I have been to Terry Blacks, Salt Lick, Franklins, County Line, and Southside Market in Bastrop, just to name a few of the popular places. This cooking crew needs to take a trip and taste what real Texas BBQ tasted like. I am a “total foodie” and know my BBQ. I hope this place pays close attention to honest reviews from people who care about local places being successful. That is why I try to be honest without trying to be rude and nasty like some other people.

Wow 😲 a what a nice spot. This is sports bar with really good food. It is a large place located right across from the water. If you want to relax at the bar they have a big one. If you want to be at a table they have bi ones like picnic tables or dining table for a couple. Watching any sporting events here is a nice plus and they have ample street parking outside or if you want to use Mass transit the the light rail is bout a 5min walk away as well as the PATH train and several NJ transit buses 🚌. The food here is full of flavor we came for lunch and had the combo plate for 16 and you get to choose 2 or 3 meats and 2 sides. I had the ribs, sausage and brisket. The ribs were amazing i could eat that all day. The brisket was nice little dry but there sauce homemade helped. The fried pickles were tasty 😋 they shaved the the 🥒 so that is is shredded and dipped in batter and fried. The portions were great you had no worries wondering if you would be hungry afterwards. They have several drafts beers on tap from local brewery or signature beers 🍺. They staff was very attentive and helpful. The bathrooms were very clean usually that is not the case in sports bar restaurant. They also catered to families well. There were several families with kids . They have out do dining to if you want to be outside

Google
Tourist trap prices. I miss the Hoboken that existed years back. I was charged a $6 fee for using a credit card. The brisket was cold. The main person in my party who we were taking out for a special occasion, had their food delayed to the point where we finished our food and theirs had simply been forgotten. The cheese dip was good. But, I spent $200 for a party of 4. This place is charging all this money because it’s on the waterfront. They should deliver top notch food and service. No ambience either. I had reservations for what? It was mostly empty.

Google
I ordered the sausage and was surprised to receive Italian sausage. The potatoe salad was like cold mashed potatoes and the service was nonexistent. Was excited to get a taste of home and was sadly let down. The atmosphere, drinks, and queso were great but the food and service were a huge let down. Our server took our order and that's about it and even that had issues like things being forgotten. Mind you it was only 2 of us and we didn't order a lot to start.

Yelp
I actually really like the food here. Live down the street and I come here with my wife and kid fairly often to get some excellent smoked wings and the 4 cheese nachos -- must get with chopped brisket added. Pulled pork is also really tasty. Drinks tend to be good although sometimes too sweet. Looks like most low reviews here are based on the bar scene. The food and restaurant service is the best when compared to surrounding places on Sinatra.

Yelp
The food is amazing here!! So flavorful and seasoned. Waitress was very nice too. We didn't order cornbread we received, but they let us keep it for free. I wish the American Dream location was this good!

Yelp
Came here for the first time last night with a group of about 12 friends to celebrate my birthday. We decided to do it on a Saturday here mainly for the dueling pianos. In order to get a table up front by the stage you need to make a reservation which can be done through email. Show coverage is $10 a person and each person going must hit a least a $50 minimum spend and you need to sign a contract. They give you up until 5pm the day of to adjust reservations accordingly and the reservation team did an excellent job communicating with me and responding quickly. I've been to a ton of dueling piano shows over the years, in my opinion this was one of the weaker ones I have been to unfortunately. The board with the 5 words or less was very small and the crowd didn't seem too pumped up. I'm not saying it was bad, quite frankly it was very chill and my group did enjoy ourselves. The waitress who served us was great, she was very attentive and was on top of making sure we all had drinks in our hands. We ordered a ton of food and had plenty to bring home for leftovers. The meat was very disappointing unfortunately, it was extremely dry and was clearly over smoked. The corn side was also very dry as well. The wings however were good, deviled eggs were great and the pulled pork sandwich was okayyyyyy. The end of the night our bill only turned out to be $109 a person which was a steal in my opinion. The environment was enjoyable for a night out and trying something different in this area. In my opinion, I feel like this place would do much better if they got rid of the reservations for the dueling piano and have it based on a first come first serve. The whole contract thing was a little intimidating and almost made me not come here because I didn't want to deal with all that. But hey, that's just one woman's opinion.

Yelp
Hope some things change. This place has lots of potential. Karaoke on Fridays is fun. Be aware that it only goes until 11 p.m.

Yelp
Came in to watch football and it's a great spot for that! They have plenty of TVs throughout the entire bar and love the ambiance. Food: I got the spicy chicken sandwich with sweet potatoes fries. Chicken sandwich was good but not spicy at all and the sweet potatoes fries were good. They had a lot of good options especially for big groups. Overall: I would definitely come back here for Sunday football.

Yelp
The Nachos here are simply out of this world. The place is really laid back. It is not too crowded. Drinks are good. Staff is friendly, and not super talkative. Staff and guests tend be all ages and well-behaved. There is a smaller range of beers, but they have a few nice ones. No complaints. What a sports bar should be. And right across from great views. Josh, the bartender is great.

Yelp
I was looking forward to dining at this spot since moving to NJ 10 months ago. It was such a disappointment. I was served cooled ribs that lacked real BBQ flavor they must've come out of the fridge they tried to flash heat and serve (they failed). The Mac and cheese (flavorless) had a refrigerated taste to it means they were prepared the day before and stored in fridge uncovered overnight. From appetizers to soda everything lacked flavor. Service was impeccable courteous, attentive, knowledgeable of establishment and food. Ambiance is exactly what you expect from a BBQ restaurant, just wish the food was as good. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Yelp
Pretty good bbq spot!!! They had trivia on Thursdays which was pretty cool lol overall the food was delicious! I tried a bbq quesadilla with the brisket and a chicken bacon ranch sandwich. The service was amazing as well and we got our food super quick. The vibes were also very pleasant and welcoming!

Yelp
Food: Good! The portion was quite large. Service: Good. No complaints. Ambiance: we sat outside so it was lovely! It wasn't cold so we got a nice view as we ate.

Yelp
Great food, and great atmosphere! I got the queso with brisket, the Bloody Mary, and the BBQ chicken. The service was great and I definitely recommend the queso. The Bloody Mary was good, but I personally prefer my Bloody Mary with a spicy kick / horseradish, so I probably wouldn't order it again. Overall, a great experience, and I'll definitely be returning!

Yelp
Got lunch at House Of 'Que on Monday afternoon. Even though the location is the main draw, the food itself is worth a visit. Quality: Ended up here when looking for a place to sit down and relax, and ended up impressed with the barbecue we got. First out were simple Deviled Eggs, which could easily be skipped. Then came the Loaded Queso Curly Fries, the best item we had. The placement of the cheese at the bottom, somehow kept the fries from becoming a soggy mess, and the add on of brisket was the correct call. The Pork Ribs were solid and I really enjoyed the Pulled Pork Sandwich. The Corn Pudding, essentially an undercooked cornbread, was very good as well. Quantity: Massive portions, the Loaded Queso Curly Fries will weigh you down. Value: $5 for Deviled Eggs. $15 for Loaded Queso Curly Fries. $5 for Corn Pudding. $14 for the Pulled Pork Sandwich. $21 for Pork Ribs by the pound. Ambiance: House Of 'Que is a barbecue spot with a great location along the Hoboken waterfront. They have lots of tables outside, some covered, others uncovered, all running adjacent to the waterfront and park. The inside area has a typical barbecue and sports bar feel. Lots of televisions, long family style tables, and massive booths. Hip-hop played over the speakers. Crowd: The outside section was packed on a beautiful day, but inside was deserted. Lots of families and dogs. Service: Simple, but fine. Limited staff handling the large location. Parking: Street parking can be found, but can be tough due to location near waterfront.

Yelp
you know what? fuck this place. seriously that's my review. fuck this place. they post as being open till 1 am. they called last call at 11:05 pm. right after four girls walked in and ordered drinks. as we walked out, SEVEN people were walking up, disappointed that they were closed. this was 11:30 on a friday in hoboken. but don't worry, we told them this place sucks and sent them to black bear instead. drinks served in fucking plastic cups. wine in a goddamned plastic effing cup. cocktails and beer as well. the fucking bus boy tried to rush us out by collecting our half full drink cups. we had to chase him away. chairs were being stacked on top of tables almost immediately after last call was announced. this was about 11:10 pm in a place whose hours state a 1am closing time. the food is forgettable at best. any one who thinks this is good bbq probably also lives in their mothers basement eating hot pockets all the time. we constantly wonder how this place stays open. we had hopes for this place when management changed a while back, but that fizzled. I mean why the hell would you close so early with people still in the bar looking to order drinks?

Yelp
I ate here earlier today such a friendly and kind staff. The food was great. Got asked how my dining experience was by the manager Jackie, she was very kind and respectful. Can't wait to eat here again on Thursday!!

Yelp
Casual bar with grills near Broad walk @ Hoboken. Their brisket is so well seasoned and cooked. Shout out to the curly fries too. Perfecto with some craft beers.

Yelp
Very big spacious restaurant. Lots of TV to watch news/sports from all sides. We had only 1 server for a large group of 20 people. She did great. I got a lunch combo while the whole table got the larger combos to share. The combo was supposed to come with sausage but I didn't cate since they gave me plenty of ribs and brisket. I had to add a bit more bbq to the brisket and ribs. The ribs were tender and fell right off the bone. I love how there was cartilage still on it and it wasn't too hard to chew. The brisket was soft and juicy. It melted right in my mouth. The collard Greens were good. I never had chili mac. It was just chili on top of their mac and cheese. I was expecting something else the way it was explained to me. The chili was OK and the mac and cheese was good, but a bit runny.

B B.

Yelp
This is an easy place to hang in and not fine dining. That said all the sides, my favorite part of the meal, are always great. My favs and make a meal of these, are the collard greens (has pork in them) and the corn pudding and the slaw! Hungry just thinking about them.

Yelp
Other than the bussers, it seemed as though the staff didn't wanna work. When we got there, I told the hostesses we had a reservation, they looked at us like we were speaking a foreign language, told us to sit wherever we wanted, and to just scan the QR code for the menu. While it would be fine for other people, to me, it wasn't a "welcome" a hostess should give. We sat at a picnic bench kinda table. It was sticky. Gross. Couldn't put a napkin over it since there wasn't anything on the table. Our server was ok. Just ok. Would've liked to ask for extra napkins (for the stickiness or even for the mere fact that we were eating BBQ) or other sauces but she was hard to find. Had to ask the busser for the check. Thank God for the bussers!!! The bussers were SUPER attentive and THAT I appreciate. The Collard Greens were EXCELLENT as was the Pulled Pork, Ribs, and the Pork Belly appetizer. The half chicken was good and thankfully, not dry at all even after I reheated it for lunch the next day. The sausages were dry and not my favorite. Tasted overcooked. The onion rings and the sweet potato fries were typical. Got charged $1 for the 2oz ranch I requested for the onion rings. Talk about nickle and diming! $1 for 2oz! For a $87 tab, they coulda threw in the ranch especially since there weren't any other sauces anywhere to be found.

Yelp
Love a good place that has excellent wings and this was one of them. So glad we stopped to have lunch here, enjoy the outdoors and backdrop of NY. The service was exceptional. Not overbearing and helpful with our food and beer selection. The wings were perfectly cooked and had the most incredible flavor. The salad was refreshing and delicious. Perfect for a summer healthy choice. I want to go back!!
google avatar

Chengru L.

Yelp
We came here on a Saturday night for dinner and it was pretty packed. We got the 48 hour smoked wings to start and they were really juicy and the bbq sauce was sweet. For the main course, we got 1/2 pound of brisket and 1/2 pound of pork ribs and a medium texas slaw. The brisket and pork ribs were really tender and went great with the bbq sauce. The texas slaw I wasn't a big fan of just because I usually like my cole slaw sweeter. We also got drinks and they were really tasty. The ambiance of this place is great. There was live music and the performers were great! I would definitely come back here again when I'm craving barbeque.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here for brunch as they have a really great deal. An entree and two bloody Mary's or mimosas for $24. The drinks were a little on the small side but were good and definitely packed a punch. I decided to go for the hangover with pulled pork. It was a huge breakfast burrito stuffed with eggs, beans, potatoes, smothered with chili and queso. I could only eat half of it and took the rest to go. My boyfriend got the sweet and spicy bbq bowl with brisket. Since it was nice out we sat outside but the inside is huge with tons of tvs. The food for brunch was ok but I definitely would want to come back for dinner and just have the bbq on its own. They also have some fun events like dueling pianos that would be fun to go to!

Yelp
We have come here numerous times being in hoboken for many years. Yet today we had a terrible experience in terms of customer service -- in which we would now refrain from coming here in the future. We were given the wrong set of wings due to an error on the restaurants part!! I ate one and my husband ate one when we realized that it is not the correct sauce for which we asked for. The manager (some lady we didn't catch her name) stated that since we ate more than half the wings would not be able to correct the mistake they had made! It was admitted that the wrong sauce was placed on the entire wing order. They didn't even offer to take the item off the menu until I demanded. This was absolutely ridiculous to me. You can go to a 5 star restaurant in NYC/hoboken and they will fix a mistake like that. You can go to a fast food chain and they would also fix a mistake like that. Hence. The worst customer service!! We will not be returning and will spread the word!! Theres way better accommodating restaurants along the street.

Yelp
Came here with a party of three on a Thursday night and they had trivia inside but we wanted to sit outside by the water. Maybe it was because we were the last table but our service was horrible. Our server came by probably once every 30 minutes and was impossible to wave down. We ordered the pitmaster's pick which was more than enough food for three people plus leftovers. The ribs and brisket were decently tender but not incredibly flavorful. The sausage was ok, nothing special and the chicken was incredibly dry. The corn pudding was by far the standout and best of the sides with the brisket chili also being good but nothing super special. I would pass on the mac 'n cheese and potato salad - you can find better at the grocery store. Overall, the location is nice and would probably be fun to come for trivia but don't expect much from the food or service.

Yelp
another issues, just one week after my last issue placed an order for delivery last night. Spoke to a live person at the restaurant. she took my order and cc # food NEVER came.....and my card was billed. no call....nothing. I mean, how hard is food delivery ??? go elsewhere, they guys really cannot get it together.

Samantha V.

Yelp
This place was good for a quick bite and good drink. We went on a Friday night at 7pm and the place was close to empty. They had more employees than they did customers and the service was still slow. The nachos were amazing and I highly recommend. However I was disappointed with the chicken tenders. For a BBQ place you could tell they came frozen. I could've gotten better ones from the frozen section at Walmart.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our time at House of Que. The food was fairly priced and was delicious. I will say, when the food came, some of it wasn't warmed up so we sent it back and the servers were extremely apologetic. Other than that, the environment was nice and chill, my boyfriend and I loved that we could just go out for a night of fun without the pressure of dressing up. We'd definitely go back!
google avatar

Zac P.

Yelp
I came here for a quick bite to eat with a friend I was visiting during a work trip. During our adventures around the area and me shutting down all his suggestions, I said why don't we go to House of 'Que. At that moment, I did not realize I made a huge mistake sitting down on uncomfortable benches as if I was at a picnic at a park. I ordered a chicken deep fried wrap. Wow, I think I got about .001 ounces (might as well describe them as crumbs) of chicken and the rest being leaves they must have picked last summer off the trees outside their view of New York City. You'd have to pay me to ever go to this place in the future. I don't even think a certain dollar amount would make me interested in considering this place. Before I end my overall review, I have a few recommendations for a name change. - House of Disappointment - House of Disgrace Just a few suggestions that are more fitting. $17 worth it? No. 0 stars if I could. Sure, was this a harsh review? Perhaps, but was it honest? Yes. I work hard for my money, and I expect my food to not be bad. I'd be interested to hear a response from the owner, and why they would ever allow a wrap to leave the kitchen.

Neil K.

Yelp
Had some really good BBQ with terrific service. Plenty of outdoor tables with a great views of NYC. Good selection of beers on tap and bottles. Indoors tables are well spaced a great place to catch a game, plenty of TVs. Dueling pianos is plenty of fun.

Briana P.

Yelp
If I could give it a 0 I definitely would, food was ok but while I was dining I witnessed what I assume is the manager ( the one with black hair) arguing with what I presume was an employee and was being super disrespectful. Not only was it extremely inappropriate as it made the environment uncomfortable but as someone who has worked in the food industry, I would never support a business that allows their employees to be verbally abused. There's much better restaurants in the area would not waste my time her!

Yelp
This is a little late (okay VERY late) but... The kicker is that we walked about 3 blocks away and had the best meal at Zero Otto Uno Cafe on Washington Street. Some of our party decided to part ways due to the delay/disaster at House of Que so it ended up being just 8 of us left. The staff of Zero Otto Uno Cafe literally MADE space for us as their sidewalk seating was mostly occupied when we arrived. So, they brought tables from inside the restaurant and set them up adjacent to the seating area that already had outside. Talk about going the extra mile...especially when House of Que seemed to go out of their way to NOT seat us!

Rudy D.

Yelp
There were a few good things. The collard greens and wings were amazing. The baked beans weren't bad. The brisket chili was disgusting. A greasy mess. I wouldn't recommend that for sure. Service was lacking. We would have had more drinks, but they never came back around. It's a hard maybe, as to whether we will be back again.
google avatar

Judy T.

Yelp
Ate here for the first time and def never coming back. First the table we got seated at is wobbly and we ended up moving to a different table. The utensils we got were missing a fork and I had to get up to my seat to ask for one. My drink also had some dirt on the inside of the cup and when I complained about it, the worker insisted that the cup was new and that the dirt was on the outside. He didn't even bother checking the cup before saying that. The dirt was definitely inside because I tried wiping it on both sides. And either way there should not be ANY dirt on my drink to begin with. They did not even apologize or even offered to remove my drink off the bill. I did not see the dirt until after I drank almost half of it otherwise I would not have drank it at all. Drink was also watered down. When we left, that's when I saw the workers inspecting the drink. Horrible customer service.

Yelp
I recently visited House of Que for my birthday and Jackie the manager was extremely helpful and accomodating. I had many more people than I expected and she immediately assisted in making sure we all had enough room and were comfortable to watch the dueling pianos show. My friends and I had a wonderful time and we'll be sure to go back again.

Yelp
I was very excited to try the "famous" brisket chili and smoked wings from here and have to say that I was very let down by one, read along.. Pros: Brisket Chili is amazing. Lots of flavor, tastes like it was cooked down for a long time, nice big chunks of smoked brisket & good portion size. Cons: Smoked Wings were extremely dry and flavorless. On the website it says they smoke these and then deep fry them and I think that may be what dried them out or potentially this was just a bad batch. I love trying wings "naked" so no sauce so I can taste the meat, ESPECIALLY with a smoked meat because I want to taste the smokiness, but there was zero in these wings. I couldn't even find a smoke ring. I think deep frying after just took it away maybe, but ended up adding my own sauce and made them edible. Huge let down, but am always down to try a second time, so will get their bbq sauce on them next time and hopefully they're better!

Yelp
I came here with my family for a birthday celebration. I am not usually a huge fan of BBQ food, as I am not one that can eat a whole lot of meats. I am more of a sides kind of gal. We came here on a recommendation and for starters, the vibe, views, and atmosphere was really spot on. We decided to dine outside, and the weather was just perfect for it. The views are also spectacular as it was by the water. We ordered the loaded nachos, the smoked wings, and egg rolls. The loaded nachos were mediocre, it was not anything too special, but the portions were decently sized. The wings were def. smokey and really flavorful; however, we had hoped the meat would be a bit more juicy/tender, which was not. The egg rolls were really good, it was crunchy/flakey and the filling as cheesy. For the mains, we got the Pitmaster's Pick, which contained 1 lb of brisket, 4 ribs, 4 sausages, 1/2 smoked chicken, with a side of mac n cheese and collard greens. The meats (brisket, chicken, ribs) were generally very dry and lacked the smokey flavor. It did not appear to be smoked and the brisket especially did not have that "fall apart" factor. The meats were nevertheless "alright" in overall flavor, but the texture was lacking. The prices for the food was a bit high as well, and while we did not mind paying a higher price, the food quality did not meet those standards.

Yelp
Visited the restaurant at the American Dream mall on Friday because I saw them promoting a piano duel on Instagram. We had the Nachos, Wings, a beer and a couple mix drinks. 2 mix drinks (a mango cocktail and a Moscow mule) both seemed to have too much drink mix added, had a very sweet taste too them, probably wouldve been better off served in a smaller portion, i believe it was served in 8oz cup. we ended up returning the mango cocktail since it was so sweet it was undrinkable 2/5 Beer selection - was decent, but for a business to have 2 NJ locations, I was disappointed not to see anything from a local NJ brewery, especially with a brewery less then .5 mile from AD. I ended up having a Bronx Brewery Hazy IPA. 3/5 The Nachos werent bad, a little too much nacho cheese sauce for my liking but totally tolerable. 3/5 Wings - Big let down, these didnt have any smokey flavor to them. You would expect more when advertised as smoked for 48hrs. this just cant be true there was no bark built on them. 1/5 At that point I called it quits with the food, figured I'd try more on another day, maybe read some reviews online and see what others recommend. Sadly I came to see many reviews that fit my experience. On the positive side, the wait service was very attentive I appreciated their service, the piano duel was FANTASTIC, we ended up tip/requesting a few songs from them and they were just a delightful energy to the room, for them alone I would go back, but I will try not go very hungry lol because the food just isnt up to par with other local BBQ spots.

Yelp
Came here for some drinks with my daughter visiting from Paris. We set at the bar - the drinks (not cheap) were served in plastic cups ‍. Tasted very average for the price. I felt like I was at some joint at the beach. Wouldn't trust the food there after such experience with the drinks.

Yelp
Inedible pulled pork sandwich that tasted like a cigarette. Truly disgusting food. Pork was also undercooked. Clearly someone dumped liquid smoke into the pork.

Yelp
Well I can say probably won't return here, VERY over priced. Before we even get to price our party was already turned off as we approached the podium to be seated we were not greeted warmly, as we felt like what do you want, later I was told the guy was a manager named Zeus that was covering the podium 5/1 late afternoon...as I was not in a mood to make this a race thing I proceeded and decided to see how this played out. One thing these establiments need to realize is you never know WHO is walking thru your doors...well today it was a YELPER & a Google Review Guru with over 2.5 MILLION views of my pic's etc. So after the rude approach upon seating us, we were seated and not really feeling the seating we asked if we could change the young man said oh you have to ask the guy at the podium..after how we felt.. I refused and was annoyed as we asked you and you work there and I need you to go inquire for me as a customer. We moved. Vanessa came and introduced herself she was nice and professional- Service was ok. Food was Super overpriced and we ordered these "48 hour wings" which were OK, tasted like the same wings I make in my air fryer and 6 wings for 14.00? Air fryer wings?? The Cowgirl drink was nice. We ordered burgers and fries. Burger was good and flavorful. Our bill was 140.00. 3 drinks, 3 meals, & 6 wings & order or fries. The liquor store and Five Guys may have been a cheaper option LOL #YOLO I will need a redo of my B day Kick Off...smh

Yelp
This is a half a pound of brisket ($16). It's three pieces. Sides were one cup each ($6 each). You should go with the single meat plate and two sides for ($23) it's the same amount of food.

Yelp
Climatic view, lackluster que. I'm gonna keep it straight up, I was really disappointed with the food. From what I got, this is an excellent spot to listen to some country, have some drinks and look at the skyline. And I would definitely come back for just that. But to spend a good bit of money on the barbecue again, I don't think so. We started off with pork belly and 48 hour smoked wings. The pork belly was pretty good and left me expecting a bar to be hit by the other food. More like 48 minute smoked wings...the wings barely had a smokey flavor and I felt they just dumped sweet baby Ray bbq sauce on top of it. The texture was no good either. For entree we had brisket, which was very very dry. The pulled pork really didn't have much of a taste either. To sum it up... the bbq we ordered felt like it came from a restaurant that doesn't specialize in bbq! This was a first to me when the bbq at a bbq spot was not more than good. The Mac and cheese too...smh.

Yelp
I always thought no two things went together better than BBQ and piano bars. So happy I finally found a place that agrees with me. Met my brothers here for a drink and a burger and was pleasantly surprised to learn that we were in for a show. Dueling Pianos meant two people both on pianos taking requests for songs from the audience and they were both incredible. I think this happens every Saturday (she said, marking Dueling Pianos in her calendar for the next 10 Saturdays). I started off with chicken wings but just got them naked (no sauce, get your head out of the gutter!) and used the BBQ sauce that they had on the table. I must say, it is nice eating wings without the mess. Whoever thought that a finger food should come smothered in sauce definitely didn't think the whole thing through. But nonetheless the wings were cooked perfectly! Next was the burger. It was great but I will say that I asked for medium and it was a lot closer to well done than medium. But it was still a great meal so I won't complain. Upgraded to the sweet potato fries which were alone 5 stars. The place was huge with nearly half of it being filled with picnic tables. I'm not sure if it was because of the show, but the tables were very close together. To the point where we had to climb on chairs to get to our own table. Although it was not a huge deal, I did wish we could have a bit more elbow room. All in all, it was a fun night and a really nice surprise to find a great show. See you soon for Dueling Pianos and maybe a good brisket.

Yelp
I am extraordinarily confused about all of the good reviews. I'm even confused by the two star reviews. This place is terrible. The service, the ambience, the food, everything. Went on Friday night, and sat outside with the dueling pianos, who are tone deaf and verbally inappropriate. They're not "Killing it" but instead, blatantly, murdering songs that once loves but now can't stand thanks to the associated memory of this terrible place. also 9 o'clock on a Sunday with open doors and windows: Everyone on the street can hear the profanity. It's not appropriate. Sitting outside the beers were served in small plastic cups (much smaller than a standard) , 2/3 just foam. The chips for the queso were stale, the wings incredibly salty? , And the brisket was tough. We ate two bites and then searched all over for our disappearing server, got the check , and left. It was not a busy night. This place is just bad. and very over priced.

Yelp
Decent BBQ if you can't go to Texas, Kansas, Illinois, Alabama, Missouri, or the Carolina's. :-) The view was great from our table to see the city, the food wasn't the best tasting although the brisket was tender and juicy. The wings were also pretty decent. The rest was just meh, the service was pretty good from start until finish. Don't think I would return though.

Yelp
We were out for a walk along the river and decided to grab an outdoor table at House of 'Que. We ordered a pitcher of Frozen Lime Margaritas, which were made with Casamigos tequila. The cocktail arrived so frozen that we needed to scoop it into our cups with a fork. It was also on the sweet side, but very enjoyable. In addition to the drinks, we decided to sample some appetizers. The Texas Chips and Salsa were on par with those you would get from a top-tier Mexican restaurant. The tortilla chips were crispy and perfectly salted. The accompanying homemade salsa was almost like a tomato puree or gazpacho that was well-balanced and well-seasoned. In addition, their French Fries were flavorful, especially when dipped into their barbecue sauces, of which I preferred the vinegar-based one to the tomato-based variety. Though this was a brief meal for us, I can say that House of 'Que provides a fun atmosphere and delicious food.

Yelp
This place is a blast!! We went on a Saturday night to celebrate a 50th birthday party. The coolest thing about this place is the crazy talented but also absolutely hilarious organ players that entertain the whole restaurant from 8-11PM and will pretty much play any song you request. We requested to sit closer to the stage but it was a little loud, it still made for a great time but if you want to have a more relaxed sit down and drink you can request to sit further away when reserving your table. Another cool thing about this place is the beer towers, between the 6 of us we went through 2. To eat we got appetizers to share. I highly recommend the Texas 3 Cheese Nachos, the BBQ Quesadilla, and the Pepper Jack Mac and Cheese Bites. Overall, a really fun place to sing at the top of your lungs with friends and family while enjoying good drinks and food!

Yelp
PROS: This place was definitely lit. TVs all over the place, its clean, has a young crowd in it, and the food is great with reasonable prices for its location. This place is right along the river and among other nice bars. The waitress was very nice and helpful to us as well. CONS: There's no parking except for the street but of course thats hoboken which is why I haven't lowered their rating. Other than that they're pretty good. OVERALL: If you do decide to come here I recommend the smoked wings. Unfortunately they're bone not boneless but its worth it. If you're in the area this is a better place to eat at compared to other places. I would make a reservation before trying to grab a seat as a walk-in

Yelp
MICE IN DINING ROOM !!! DO NOT EAT HERE!! When dining here, my group saw at least three mice. We alerted our server and management of the mice running under the tables. Management was not surprised by the complaint and replied that it was a result of their doors being left open. This is highly unsafe in an establishment serving food. I am very disturbed by this experience and will never be returning.

Yelp
Unfortunately there are not many places at all around here to get a decent plate of bbq to begin with. HOQ is No exception and tends to the miss the mark considerably from my prior experiences. They have a decent setup with ample indoor/outdoor seating and solid happy hour drinks - but I don't necessarily need a BBQ place to be good at that. More Importantly the food: it's not bad- it's edible - it's just not good. My lunch plate pictured was bleak and tasted as dry as it looks. Thankfully the sauce was good enough to drown out whatever inadequacies the meat had: The ribs felt petrified on the bone and the sausage was sadly falling apart. Brisket wasn't bad to be fair but I wouldn't be surprised if it was a few days old. The sides were decent and I've enjoyed the appetizer selection in the past but again - not why I'm there. HOQ makeups for the lack in food with the bells-and-whistles of what you might expect in a 'Texas style' joint. Don't expect anything to blow you away but if you need BBQ and it makes no difference this might work for you.
