"Houston’s Pasadena is a strong contender for best Hillstone restaurant in Southern California. That's because it offers everything you'd want from a fancy-yet-comfy steakhouse dinner with mass appeal. Suited managers with perfectly quaffed hair inspect tables for missing cutlery, and you’re offered fresh plates for every course. There’s even a giant koi pond. All of the upscale touches make the Hillstone classics taste even better, like caesar salad on a chilled plate, deviled eggs, and the juicy double-cut pork chop with potatoes colcannon." - brant cox, sylvio martins, andrew ryce

I recently visited this restaurant twice, and both experiences were outstanding! 😊The first time, my friend and I were served by Alex, who was incredibly friendly and attentive. She took great care to explain the menu, especially since my friend has a peanut allergy, ensuring our selections were safe. I enjoyed my time so much that I returned on my birthday with another friend. Making reservations was easy, and April, thoughtfully suggested menu items based on our preferences.✨ The food was just as delicious as I remembered. Our salads crispy and that chicken so juicy, and my friend's dinner special was perfectly seasoned. We savored each bite in blissful silence. 😂For dessert, I indulged in a warm chocolate brownie topped with vanilla ice cream. My absolute favorite as a chocolate lover! The atmosphere was fantastic, and I can't wait to return with more friends. Highly recommend!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was not my first time coming here. I've been here before. I do believe this place has improved. Overall. Food is delicious. Staff is top notch, environment is superb. Everyone come visit!

A timeless classic. Have been coming here for almost 10 years now and the food is still good. We love their cheeseburger (steakhouse style) on fresh made brioche buns and their chicken sandwich. The portions are massive. I could’ve shared a burger with and have been perfectly full enough for lunch. We came for lunch Friday around 1 and had to wait 30 minutes so I would suggest putting your name down early or making a reservation ahead of time. The bar seating (maybe 10 seats) has it own separate waitlist

Always great consistent food. Friendly attentive staff. One of the best French dip sandwiches. Always a wait but well worth it. Make sure you get dessert.

Love this place... when you can get in! Always busy .. must book at least a week in advance if you don't want to eat at 4:30pm or 9pm. Simple limited menu but consistently good! Especially love the homemade chocolate sundae!

We came here for lunch parking was kind of tough. This place was packed. Good service great food. Drinks were ok. Nice ambiance. Definitely would recommend to try.

Excellent Burger cooked perfectly. Fast, polite and charming waiter, Diego. Toubouleh was perfect. Fries were average with a lot of small tidbits. Bathroom was very clean and even had hot water. Ps. Tap water was excellent and cold. Best burger around bar none…

Yelp
Tonight, I had the pleasure of dining at Houston's in the Riverside Mall, Hackensack, NJ, and it was an experience worth sharing! The restaurant was buzzing with energy, and despite it being a Tuesday night, every seat was filled, complete with a 30-minute wait. It's clear that Houston's has a loyal following, and now I understand why! Menu Highlights: I opted for the Wood-Fired Rotisserie Chicken with crushed herbs and apricot glaze, paired with a refreshing tabbouleh. The chicken was succulent and flavorful. We also enjoyed the Pan-Asian Noodle Salad, a vibrant dish with mango, avocado, chopped peanuts, and tender barbecue pork. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the Grilled Artichokes, grilled to perfection and served with a tangy rémoulade. These heirloom artichokes from Castroville, California, are a seasonal treat that I always look forward to! Dessert Delight: To cap off our meal, we indulged in a Warm Apple Cobbler topped with candied walnuts and a scoop of creamy French vanilla ice cream. The cobbler was a perfect blend of sweet and tart, making for a comforting finish. Drinks that Dazzle: We also enjoyed two refreshing cocktails: the Crush with Belvedere vodka, pressed grapes, and fresh mint, and the Bee's Knees, a mix of Boodles gin, honey syrup, and freshly squeezed lemon juice. Service Excellence: Our waitress, Francesca, was a gem--kind and attentive, enhancing our evening even more. In conclusion, Houston's in Hackensack is a culinary gem that never disappoints. The fresh, expertly prepared dishes, vibrant atmosphere, and attentive service make it a must-visit for food lovers. Yelp
The hostess said it was booked so couldn't take a reservation on the phone. She advised to come walk in. We did and were denied to put our name down- reservations were closed. The hostess and two managers couldn't tell me when reservations would open again. The simply didn't care that we drove 45 min after being told to do a walk in . NOT PROFESSIONAL NOT HOSPITABLE - Been going here for years...this round of managers S U C K S!!!

Yelp
Wow! It was my first time here and their food was absolutely delicious! You will never taste a spinach artichoke dip this good anywhere else! Also, their Cesar salad is definitely one of a kind. We also had their- USDA PRIME FRENCH DIP AU JUS thinly sliced roasted prime rib, house-made toasted French roll- it was absolutely delicious and very tender! THE HAWAIIAN rib-eye steak with pineapple-soy-ginger marinade, with a loaded baked potato. ...it was cooked to perfection! Can't wait to return!

Deanne G.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots! I love love the fork and knife ribs! No place compares to them. I ordered the jack rabbit (tequila drinks, had 2) and my husband had two casa amigos on the rocks. We ordered spinach dip for an app and all four of us had the ribs. They are always so good and fall off the bone. We may have ordered a dessert but everything had nuts and my son is allergic. It's a pricey night if you're getting cocktails and dinners but I am always happy with the meal and service.

Kelli C.

Yelp
This sandwich was one of the best I have ever had and I eat a lot of sandwiches. Everything about our meal was amazing. I wish I could come here more frequently to get this sammy. The shrimp cocktail was also unforgettable. And of course, that brownie ice cream sundae was insanellllly good. Warm towels by request too which was fun!

Lisa B.

Yelp
If I ever give Houston's less than 5 stars it will be a shocker. This restaurant is pricey but it NEVER disappoints in food or service. The smoked salmon appetizer is delicious - so much so didn't get a picture . The Hawaiian ribeye is my favorite. It is always seasoned perfectly and it always comes rare - which is how I ask for it and like it. My son LOVES the crispy chicken sandwich, and that's what he always wants. Can't say enough about this place. Service is always over the top attentive and on point. It's a true team effort here and the result is that anyone who passes by will grab you a new utensil, clean the table, fill your drink. As a result it never ever disappoints.

Yelp
I had never been to Houston's before but my in-laws love this place for some reason. I don't really get it though. It's so dim in there, and the food is way overpriced for what it is. Our party of four came in on a Sunday at around 1 pm for lunch. I thought it would be empty but surprisingly, the restaurant was pretty full. To start off, we had the spinach & artichoke dip (with salsa, sour cream and warm tortilla chips) and the house-smoked salmon (served with Chef's dressing & toast). The dip was fine, nothing to write home about. I thought it was a little odd it also came with salsa, but I wasn't too mad at it. I ended up putting the dip on the toast that came with the salmon (since I couldn't eat the salmon) and then it was pretty good. I think they should swap out the chips for the toast because that's a much better (and fancier) combo. I inquired about what was in the 'Chef's dressing' and the waitress just said "Oh, it's really good!" When I told her I wanted to double check what the ingredients were, I was met with an attitude-y, "What's the allergy?" So, it would be nice if they listed the ingredients of the dressing on the menu, or if they trained the staff to learn what's in the food. For my main, I went with the Ding's crispy chicken sandwich (buttermilk fried chicken, baby Swiss, spicy slaw). This came with French fries. I wouldn't necessarily order again, but it was a pretty decent sandwich. The chicken was good, but the slaw made it hard to eat, especially with such a soft bun. If you don't eat it quickly enough, the sandwich will fall apart, so this sandwich is definitely not meant to be taken home as leftovers. Hubby had the special, which was filet mignon with frites but I'm not sure if it was worth the $65 price tag. MIL had the ribs, which I thought was way too smoky. But the creamed corn she chose as one of her sides was pretty good. FIL had a burger, which looked pretty basic. I would say that the food is pretty much what you'd expect from a chain restaurant. But you should just double the price of what you'd expect from a chain restaurant too. $21 for a spinach and artichoke dip? Gimme a break.

Yelp
This is the worst place ever!! They give false information for walk in customers- I was told that it was a 30 min to an hour and a half wait - when I got to the restaurant in less than an hour the list was closed - I asked to speak with the manger (Catherine ) who was so rude and nasty- As I left the restaurant complaining about the service two separate groups of people approached me and my daughter telling us that they too got false information about seating and had the also encountered a rude manager ! Never again will I be going to this establishment and I will be calling their corporate office -

Ray M.

Yelp
Well it was my Birthday and really wanted a steak so I went to Houston's. Now don't judge me but I like my steak on the well side. Not big into the red look. But they wouldn't cook it to my liking sooo.. I decided I'd go with the cheeseburger and I had to get their baked potato to accompany it. The potato is definitely one of my favorite menu items. My friend had the Pork ribs and a baked potato as well. I enjoyed my burger. Though it was well it was still juicy and delicious just the way I like it. Absolutely no complaints here. The baked potato is from another planet! It's a huge potato.. So delicious too, and my friend enjoyed the Ribs. Service was excellent as usual. Very nice and accommodating. It's not their fault I couldn't get a steak to my liking. Won't blame them for that one bit. The restaurant itself is beautiful, dimly lit which makes it feel warm and comfortable and they play a nice selection of ambient music. Jazzy and calm. So if you want a well cooked steak I'm not sure if this is the spot for it BUT they have a great burger, fries or baked potato! And the ribs are super delicious! Have a great one everyone!

Michelle C.

Yelp
Houstons never disappoints! It's one of my favorite local restaurants/franchise. Appetizers: they have best spinach dip + chips Entree: Ding's Chicken Sandwich is the best! I get it every time. Dessert: 5 Nut Brownie with a cappuccino **chefs kiss** Houstons is good for any occasion!

Irene H.

Yelp
This is still one of my favorite, consistent restaurants in the area BUT it's pretty hard to visit without a reservation or if you aren't there when opening, and if you don't want to wait an hour or so. Make a res online far in advance. If you have a kid, no kids menu, no stroller, no high chair, and hope for the best. With that said, service was great, they proactively removed the (real) candle, they seated us near the kitchen so we were less conscious about loud noises, the diners near us didn't mind, and my kid had a blast. They don't do takeout but will let you take anything you order home. I'm also pretty sure prices went up? - The spinach and artichoke dip is $21. - Kale and chicken salad is $24.

Alden K.

Yelp
French dip au jus($28) was nice. The au jus itself was very tasty. The fries were above average. The ambiance was very nice as well. The staff were mostly competent. It was clear that our main waitress tried very hard, but the person helping her that brought our food was not.

Aurora C.

Yelp
Food was just OK, but the female hostesses at this location are horrendous. Huge egos (not really sure why), and they don't seat you on time for your reservation despite the table being available, clean, and very ready to go. Seem like they were gossiping and were too busy doing so to greet anyone, seat them, or even be kind. A lot of Houston's diners are of an odd variety, smelling heavily (and disgusting, particularly in a food establishment) of marijuana. I have seen higher quality restaurants state they reserve the right to turn away customers who smell foul. However, with the attitudes of the staff at Houston's, the fellow diners' stench honestly fits it with Houston's lesser atmosphere, which (similar to these diners) appears to be masquerading as something higher in status than it actually is. To recap, not sure what job or where Houston's greeters believe they're working, but it's unpleasant for all, and coupled with the mediocre food and unsavory (and bad smelling) patrons, it's a no for us, and we will be recommending people against.

Sama C.

Yelp
If you don't know Houston's then let me tell you... --You come here to impress your date as this is a fancy schmancy high end restaurant with a small bar. --You come here to complete a business transaction... above or maybe under the table, since it does have dim lighting. --You come here for their famous French Dip sandwich... thank me later, and you'll probably end up getting 2 as it is downright amazing and flavorful. Pick your poison... just know that you won't get disappointed here if you choose the sandwich. FYI: Reservations are a must, otherwise the wait time might be foreverrrrrr!

Leslie W.

Yelp
I've been going to Houston's for over 10 years and as of now will not ever step foot back in that establishment again..There's too many rules when it comes to me spending my money they put a 3 minimum drink limit on you bad enough if there's a drink that you personally want if it's not on the menu they will not make it ,they tell you what temperature they only serve steaks, if you make a complaint about any food item that was served to you there ready to kick you out, the menu is already limited and every time you come in there it's something that was taking off the menu I'm done with Houston's there other better restaurants in the area with better service

Yvonne P.

Yelp
Your management needs an attitude adjustment. No matter how good the food is, customer service is essential.

Cindy R.

Yelp
Food and ambiance always great here ! We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip which is always delish ! Okay their special is the day chili which was on point . Service was great too as well as their recommendations. Good food ambiance and relaxed vibe plus good food .

Allison B.

Yelp
I am very disappointed in this restaurant. Your waiter asked a family with an autistic child to leave your restaurant. They were so embarrassed and should have never been treated like that. You should be ashamed!!

Natalie R.

Yelp
Shut this place down Todd Martin the GM and the host with a bow on her head and the bartender all terrible service they are very rude!!! Boycott this restaurant get it shut down they are very rude to colored people.

Paulina O.

Yelp
Out of all my years in hospitality and in elementary education, I have never seen a restaurant so cold hearted to throw out paying customers with a child. How do you look a child in the eye and deny them their meal??? How do you put a mother in that position to feel disappointed in herself over something that is in no one's control ?? I hope action is taken over this and I promise you i wont be the only one comments on this as well. https://share.newsbreak.com/bb16p359

Nik I.

Yelp
The manager was an inflexible ahole. Didn't allow a stroller into the restaurant nor did he try to accommodate with a corner or more accessible table to make it possible. Simply refused without any legitimate reason. Just a cold curt response. Also looked like the turd from panic at the disco. Here a tip: try to be more friendly flexible or provide a more gentle respectful approach.

Benjamin G.

Yelp
Well Janelle really knows how to make your experience terrible. Completely unprofessional and targeted my party for absolutely no reason other than she felt like it. After we bought drinks at the bar and sat by the entryway she was obviously talking to us to the hostesses because the minute she started talking they both stared at our party. As a manager she is completely unprofessional and decided to use her power for no apparent reason. The food was great our waitress was delightful however Janelle is terrible.

Rodney Beckford

Yelp
Great food however the wait time varies and isn't always ready as informed. The wait area could be a challenge.

Amir B.

Yelp
I am writing to express my disappointment following an experience I had today at your location. I've been a loyal patron of your restaurant for over 10 years, but today I encountered what I believe to be the worst service I've ever received. After informing Todd, the manager, that my phone had died and I was unable to pay through Apple Pay, I was told to stop ordering now. I felt both dismissed and disrespected by this treatment, especially given my long history as a customer. In today's world, Apple Pay has become a widely accepted and convenient method of payment. As a loyal customer, I believe it's important for businesses like yours to evolve and offer these services to better accommodate your clients. Asking me to step outside the location to charge my phone left me feeling both frustrated and unwelcome. As a result, I will not be returning to your restaurant. I am deeply disappointed, and I am left with no choice but to leave a 1-star review. You were once my favorite place to dine, but this experience has caused me to reconsider. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and work towards improving both your payment options and customer service.

M C.

Yelp
Must say, food is always consistent. Best martini in town and only place I can get goat cheese filled olives!! Bartenders are the best!

Lauren S.

Yelp
The PRIME FRENCH DIP AU JUS Sandwich from @houstonsrestaurants is my favorite sandwich of 2023 and of all time. It comes with thinly sliced roasted prime rib, house-made toasted French roll. It comes with warm au jus and horseradish sauce-it just melts in your mouth . The service is impeccable, and the atmosphere and ambience is romantic.Yes, you can also get this at @hillstonerestaurants but the Houston's at @theshopsatriverside just hits different. The loaded baked potato (available after 4 pm) and grilled heirloom artichokes are also a must. Insta: @thehungrysw

Dena H.

Yelp
This was my first time dining here and I'll definitely be back! Try to call ahead or make reservations because this place is always packed. We ended up sitting at the bar to get served quicker. I ordered the cheeseburger and my sister in law ordered the chicken sandwich. Both were very delicious. I didn't realize the burger came with mayo on the bun and the server saw me trying to scrape it off and immediately was kind enough to go and grab me a new bun. Such amazing and friendly staff! Can't wait to come back!

Michelle H.

Yelp
They would not seat me and my husband bc we brought our 3 kids (8,5 and 2) with us and they only seat tables of 4 on sundays. They told us we have to sit separately from each other. I never heard of such a ridiculous rule. I will never return and it's no wonder the hillstone in NYC shut down one of their locations with rules like these. What happened to "the customer is always right"? Turning down a table of 5 was their idea of customer service.

Gary L.

Yelp
The must try is the Hawaiian steak and rotisserie chicken. Ordered with the nice waiter that addressed our vegan concerns for one of our friends. The steak used to have an awesome kale salad that is no longer served but was cooked well medium rare. Chicken was succulent and pairs well with the wine. Check it out

Jared L.

Yelp
Haven't been. Here in two years, moved out of the area so it was a treat to be back. I love their consistency; knowing what they do well and continuing to improve on it. April was our server and as always, without one exception to the rule, perfect service. Those who complain about steaks not being cooked to their desired temperature, guessing medium well people, stop going to Houston's and stop eating steaks in general. That's like going to a sushi joint and asking for cooked fish; what's wrong with you? Enjoy the way the chef preps the meal or don't eat there!

Sue G.

Yelp
Shame on them. A friend told the waitress her drink was weak so they brought her another. They charged us for both and refused to remove it from the bill.. And they also won't take 3 credits cards when the bill came. This was a first for me.. I never trouble anywhere splitting this bill with cards. I do it all the time.

Cooper H.

Yelp
They are very iffy with serving people with children. It is a hit or a miss with their entrees, and they overprice their alcohol tremendously. The restaurant also gets decently noisy but hey to each their own.

Reyna N.

Yelp
TREAT YOURSELF to the most delectable, mouth-watering, aromatic dining experience! Regardless of how long it has been, the food, flavor, and quality are constantly excellent. consistently outstanding. From the atmosphere to the wine to the food, Houston's is a classic. Everything is neat and tidy. One of the highlights of my most recent lunch at Houston's was the service. Our waitress was pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful. She made certain we had the perfect meal! The steak is to die for, The Hawaiian Ribeye is always a must-order, as is the spinach artichoke dip and the Emerald Kale salad.

A C.

Yelp
Absolutely terrible service. Food is okay, but not for the price. Manager and hosts are the worst. Do not grace these people with your presence or your money.

Joe F.

Yelp
I love Houston's. Always have and always will be. But we're breaking up girl for a while. Backing up a second I've got to underline Houston's (or Hillstone) was always my benchmark for really good, non fancy meals. Burgers, prime rib, fish, ribs ...you name it were consistently done well. Slightly premium price points but with great service it was on point. I've tried on and off to get a rez last two years without success but we hit it on Easter. As always a solid meal. Started with outstanding grilled artichokes that were first class. I convinced my partner to try pan Asian noodle salad with bbq pork ($32 but it used to be served with steak). I used to love the prime rib which isn't listed on menu anymore (a center cut filet goes for $62). Missing that rib dish I went for the ribs instead which were terrific but pricey ($45). We shared key lime pie which was yummy but served too warm. Water not refilled at all during meal. I will always love Houston's but that craving is gone. The price point for a basic good meal for two was $150 which is outside my lane.

Sabrina M.

Yelp
Went to Houston's on a Thursday night and thank god we made reservations because it was packed. To start we got spinach and artichoke dip which was very good! For my entree I got the French Dip Au Jus which I was obsessed with I winded up ordering another one to go for my boyfriend because it was so good. And I think my friend got the chicken sandwich sliders and she really enjoyed that too! Our server was super sweet and patient with us! Very dark and moody feel here great for a date night!

Melissa R.

Yelp
Super chic restaurant but was not impressed. For starters, we had the spinach dip which was delicious but there was barely enough chips for the 3 of us. I had the BBQ ribs which were pretty good but could've done without the shoestring fries (not a fan), the dessert was rich and delicious and I wish I could remember what it was called; it had a ton of nuts and fudge my son enjoyed it. No kids menu here, so my son had a regular cheeseburger-no problem here though--he's got a great appetite! Though, I wonder about other kids who like the typical kid's menu... We left expecting more, our cousin who brought us here was so excited to take us and quickly disappointed to see they've changed their menu over the couple years (probably due to the pandemic) and service was lacking. I'm sure there has been better days but it certainly didn't leave us wanting to return.

Natalie S.

Yelp
Service and Dinner was top notch. I will be a repeat offender. We started off with a Dirty Martini, Jackrabbit, and spinach dip. For our entrees, we ordered the Filet with the pomme purée and broccoli, along with the Hawaiian Ribeye with the loaded baked potato. Both were outstanding!!! Could not love this place more!

Donya T.

Yelp
Traditional atmosphere Good food Consistency in food choices and flavor Great service Can get busy so get reservation in advance

Linda P.

Yelp
I came here with my parents cute chic place, we were told there was a wait of 20 minutes for a table and we didn't wait more than 5 minutes which was excellent. Professional staff, we had an extremely polite and professional waitress Gina, very accommodating and always with a smile. Hard to find places that provide great service. We had the artichoke dip which we loved and a New Orleans soup that had sausage rice and beans delicious portions are perfect was able to share. As our main we had the burger with the choice of either fries, coleslaw or tabulé. We got the classic burger great burger delicious, my father ordered the California burger with coleslaw which he enjoyed the waitress was nice enough to get him some jalapeños, and we ordered the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich that was so delicious. Drinks were great too. Definitely will be back.

Roger B.

Yelp
This is a place my wife and I choose for almost every special occasion. It's beautiful inside (in spite of their location inside a mall), it's dimly lit, the booths are these huge leather things that hug you nice and cosy. The service is world class - every single server knows their job, the menu and exactly how to treat customers. They even bring out a second ice-cold glass to freshen up your martini half way through so it stays super cold until the last drop. The food is just completely out of control. We always start with Shrimp cocktail (the best ever) and the spinach artichoke dip (they bring out more warm chips after you finish the first small portion). My wife always orders the French Dip which is the best I've ever had - and I've become addicted to the Ribs. Every single rib falls right off the bone and they're served with shoestring fries and cole slaw. Mixing the three flavors together makes for an insanely delicious bite every time. Highly recommend making a reservation because even though they take walk-ins - you will wait an hour or more because they're always super busy. Grab a seat at the bar if you can - but even that approach will have you waiting a while so plan ahead. Love this place. So much.

Kellie D.

Yelp
Consistants good and fresh menu. Everything from the salads to the salmon are excellent but the French dip steaks the show. So good!

Paul K.

Yelp
Good food and service, BUT the management is rude. I made reservations for 4 and 1 child, they wouldn't seat us even though the child is so small she can sit on any of the adults laps literally (and the tables/booth would have more than enough space anyway). We were going away, last meal before a trip and they would NOT seat us. The manger was so rude about it also. Yea your food is very good and this restaurant is always busy, so basically I guess one must be grateful just to eat there. Hello upper management, it doesn't take much to lose a customer for LIFE. This was NOT the FIRST time I or others have been talked to rudely by the receptionist/manager.

Michael V.

Yelp
Don't even think about going here if you have a party larger than 5. They don't want your business. Oh well, I will find a different (and probably better) restaurant.

Stephanie G.

Yelp
Cheyenne is the best bartender! She made us two delicious mocktails and was so very sweet and accommodating. It's always a treat to sit at the bar and have lunch. Our last visit there we ordered the Sashimi Salad and their Veggie Burger with a side of their coleslaw which is always so delicious! Great place to go after a day of shopping for sure! Thanks again for the hospitality Cheyenne!

D. R.

Yelp
My all time favorite Consistent with food taste and options The atmosphere always inviting The service is good

Samantha B.

Yelp
For a place that is subpar and known for over priced burgers they should focus on training their staff. Teach them how to smile and greet people when they walk in. Also when someone calls and asks when the last seating is and we arrive there on time only to be told that it's reservations only on a Monday is pretty unprofessional.. It would have been beneficial if that information was relayed to their customers prior to wasting their time driving to the restaurant and be shooed away with an attitude. It's okay because Morton's steak house around the corner welcomed us with no problem and with a smile on their face. Keep your rude employees and over priced burgers

Jeannie Y.

Yelp
I'd give it "0" if I could! Wanted to order a take out for my daughter's bday. She's battling cancer and cannot dine in because she's neutropenic. We were flat out told " no exceptions" can be made by the most rudest, inconsiderate manager. When I told him I'm shocked by his response and asked why he couldn't make this 1 exception, he told me the call was being RECORDED, have a nice day and hung up!!! I reported this incident to corporate 4 days ago...radio silence. Will never go back there again!!

Dmitry R.

Yelp
It saddens me to write this review since it's been one of my favorite restaurants for several years. Came here for lunch and the place was packed which is always a good sign. We usually order the NY Strip special that is not on the menu. Also ordered the smoked salmon and decided to try the FRENCH DIP AU JUS sandwich. The salmon was frozen, usually it flakes when you cut into it, this time you could still see the chill on the skin. The steak was burnt...to the point of eating charcoal. This was a huge disappointment since their steak is always on point. Bottom line the steak was frozen and didn't have enough time to thawed before it was cooked. The best part was the sandwich. The worst part is the steak was $70 and the sandwich was around 20 something. It's really a shame when a place like this goes down hill.
