So much fun! Wide selection of live music requested by the customers as the night progresses. So many good songs done by two pianos, drums and guiro. It can get pretty wild and we loved it. There were more ladies there than men. Fun!

First time going there getting invited to the happy hour, they got live music and there were actually a few bachelorette parties going on! You can request songs for them to play for a price which is a lot of fun, and they were really good at it! Nice space over all, would definitely consider this place again!

Great place to party at in philly. They will play any song you give them and they perform very well. Drinks are good and bartenders were very nice and helpful. They do let you bring in food from other restaurants to eat there, which is nice. I had a good time and will be going back.

Fun atmosphere, we had a reserved table, and our server was on point! The bucket drinks are fun but not super strong. Overall, we danced, sang, and had a great time!

Fun! It's like a dueling piano bar. Stage is well lit with fun lights and great energy. The band sings songs requested by patrons. It may not be corrupt accurate to the original song, but they they a great job at performing!! I visited for happy hour, it was inexpensive, it wasn't overcrowded, and the staff was attentive. Drinks were ok.

I found this bar via Instagram and submitted a form online. My friends and I enjoyed the evening. The bucket cocktails were great. $30 regularly for the 86oz and they had 1 flavor on special for $20. One 86oz was enough for 3 people to share. We were there on 90s Night which was great. The live band played a variety of covers and interacted with the crowd. The Happy Hour appetizers are cleared away at 8 PM on the dot, so if that's your twist, get there early. The selection included mac and cheese, beef meatballs and little buffalo chicken cheese steak sandwiches. I was surprised to see such hearty food at the free appetizer buffet. The ladies bathroom was clean and there is even an attendant to help keep traffic moving. Overall, we had a good time, drank 3 buckets, sang to our hearts' content, and would return with more friends another time.

My bestie and I celebrated our Birthdays here last night! We did the jump the line package and that was a super special perk, highly recommend. The atmosphere was clean, fun, vibrant and the ambiance was just right. This was our second time visiting, and we enjoyed our visit even more than the time before! All the staff were very customer service oriented and kind. We would not hesitate to return again! Thanks for a great night!!

This place is really cool. The music is great. I danced all night! The musician Elaina was off the charts. Friendly staff and good food make this a cool night out. There were groups celebrating, people at the bar, I did check the score of the game at the bar TV screens. I had fun and I was there by myself.

Don't eat here. Just go for the show. The show was incredible, I'm always so impressed how the musicians improvise and manage the crowd. Burgers were trash, expensive trash.

Positives are the piano players and musicians know a lot of variety of songs. They also have freebie giveaways drinks and merch. Negatives are just it's a bit dingy inside, and the bathrooms are weird. Dirty and there's an attendant in there making it weirder. The mixed drinks are not good at all, basically just low tier liquor with cheap mixers in a giant bucket. Bartenders and bouncer are short fused, dealing with people. It's okay with going as a group, but wouldn't come here otherwise unfortunately. I'm sure some nights are probably a lot of fun, but doesn't really change the above.

I am not Howl at the Moon's target audience, so keep that in mind going forward. My ideal booze night on the town involves either an off-the-charts dingy dive bar with lawn chairs or a hipster mixologist pouring me egg white cocktails. This is not that by any stretch. Who is their target audience? Based on a quick glance at the drink menu, a 21-year-old female who celebrated their birthday within the past week and still thinks a literal bucket of rum is an ideal beverage. If that sounds like you, then this is your place. I ended up at Howl at the Moon on a Friday night for a noble chum's Womb Exit Anniversary. It was a group of about 13 people, and we were there for roughly 3 1/2 hours from 9:30ish to 1am. (I took a nap beforehand and slept for nine hours the next night, otherwise I don't know how I would have functioned in society in the near term - again, not my jam). Several members of our party had been there before including the guest of honor. All of them were noticeably surprised at how empty it was. When we got there, I'd guess there were MAYBE 20 other people in a pretty large space that accommodates musical acts, dancing, etc. I liked that you could comfortably roam around and hear what the people near you were actually saying, but I may have been in the minority on that one. Let me address the positives here first, since unfortunately it won't take long. If you make a little bit of an effort beforehand on social media, you can "win" a decent deal where they waive the cover (which I was told beforehand would likely be $5 or $10), and you get drink tickets for two beverages at a cost of around $1.50 each. That strikes me as shrewd marketing, and a win-win for both parties - the customer has more incentive to come in and hang out for a while, and the venue likely more than makes up for the discount by the end of the evening. The other pro is the live music; a piano was front and center, and the musicians were playing a lot of pleasant tunes. And since it WAS centered on the piano, it wasn't Jersey Shore discotech shizzle that makes me dry heave. The negatives outweighed the positives for me. I decided to go with a peanut butter old fashioned, the first item listed on the cocktail menu. I was told that they were out of the peanut butter whiskey. Not a huge deal, but on a Friday night, I think you should have the inventory for the handful of special cocktails you're promoting. Instead, I went with the Kentucky Peach (I believe $12 or so), which had bourbon, peach puree, lemon sour and soda. Easily one of the worst drinks I've ever had. None of the ingredients were even marginally mixed, so depending on where your straw was in the glass when you began sucking, you'd either end up with nothing but bourbon, or nothing but sugar. That strikes me as just basic bartending 101. One of my compatriots came with me for the drink order and ALSO tried to order two specific cocktails (Pink Paradise and Hot Girl Summer) and was told they didn't have the requisite ingredients. He then informed her there were only two or three cocktails they could make and was a little rude when she suggested that he just make her a vodka cran. His curt answer was, "I already told you I can't." It wasn't as quiet as a library in there, so maybe there was a little lost in translation going on, but he did come across as defensive to me, and frankly if you work in a bar or any louder environment, you make the effort to ensure everyone understands you. The bathroom situation rubbed me the wrong way. First of all, the layout is just poor - the toilet seat in my stall was partly under the toilet paper dispenser, so it's super cramped and I'm surprised that they don't have incidents where customers partially miss the toilet bowl. (Maybe they do, but I'm willing to remain ignorant on that point.) The bigger issue for me was that they had a completely needless bathroom attendant. This is not a classy French restaurant or something - they're literally selling plastic buckets of alcohol. I don't need someone in a hoodie handing me paper towels and squirting cheap liquid soap in my hands. That just strikes me as a shameless cash grab. They also had candy in there, which might have been the most unappetizing optic of the evening. I have never had a desire to eat a Reeses next to a toilet. The pregame festivities at my chum's sister's house featured a bottle of Sutter Home Pinot Grigio, which was WAY better than anything I paid for at Howl. I'd recommend stopping by the liquor store for that instead of schlepping to a bar that was lacking in alcohol options and customer service. The guest of honor had a great time though, so that's ultimately what matters.

A few of the companies in my industry get together after every conference we attend and host a late night event. For our Philly conference, this event was held at Howl at the Moon. I had never been to one but had passed one quite a few times in Orlando and always talked about going. The place was pretty large. The main room had two bars and a stage where people were performing. At first, I was a little overwhelmed by how crowded it was (our events issue, not the venue) but then I found another room in the back and felt a lot better (not a lot of other people found that room). It also had two bars and a bunch of couches to lounge in. Overall, it was a good time. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars were because the drinks were ridiculously small. They put a bunch of ice into small cups and then your drink was only a couple of sips.

We had such a blast here on a Friday night while visiting Philly - the band is excellent and we danced all night! We are in our mid thirties and were definitely among the oldest people there - a pretty young crowd. That didn't bother us though - we got ourselves a table and danced in our own area. The bar and establishment itself leaves much to be desired. It's sort of a divey place. I probably wouldn't eat the food here. Drinks are cheap though!

Nice place, incredible live bands, the drinks are good and the bartenders and staff in general are friendly. Drinks a little pricey but what place isn't. For the experience, the price is worth it.

Weird vibe place alert! Piano players off key. Weird Christmas party in prime spot of the place. 3 bouncers at the door and the place is semi empty. Bartenders look disappointed. Had one drink and done. Lol

Entertaining bar that we reserved for a holiday party right behind the Kimmel Center area. They had a set of serving stations to the back, tables for folks to sit/stand and eat at, and a big bar in the center that needed a few more staffers. They had four musicians at the front who were fantastic, playing all the instruments (guitars, drums, pianos) and sang, all the latest and classic hits that we could think about. It was very entertaining, though not dueling. The food there was reasonable - the swedish meatballs were great, carved beef was good. The other bites were more along the lines of the bar food - cheese quesadillas, cheesesteak egg rolls, wings, etc. which were so-so. The musicians made it interesting. The food - I've had better.

Ridiculous. You all charged us $20 at the door even though we PAID for the bar crawl, and you happened to be one of the venues. I'm patient and waited almost 45 minutes, but charging us when it's included? Your bartender likes to rip off people. He poured less than half a shot. He also barely gave me any water and watered down a drink I ordered. The music wasn't good either.

Paid for a song, $20 won't play it's. What's your beef against Rockstar by Nickleback, huh?!!!

I'm no longer a drinker, but I loved and still love Howl at the Moon for its incredible live music. If there's music, I'm there. This place is a lot of fun when they have a live band. Service is good, decent food. If you are a drinker: this is a good place to get cheap, strong drinks. Nice ambience and lighting.

Wow!! I could talk about Howl at the Moon ALL DAY! I randomly went here for a friend of a friend's happy hour party and had the time of my life. If you come for a happy hour party which is pretty much every Friday, they have free appetizers, $1 drink tickets, contests to win EIGHTEEN OUNCE BUCKETS of cocktail for FREE AND amazing live music that takes requests! Prices are great, there's candy in the restroom, and the people who work here are really nice! But the thing that really put me over the top was that I requested a kind of obscure Michael Jackson song to the live performers (it's sort of a piano bar), and they LISTENED to it JUST so they could play it for me! Can't say I'm not impressed! I'm only in Philly for a few months, but I can say without a doubt so far this is the best bar I've been to here and I shall return. Stop by to hang with me! Oh and ALSO to top it all off I won a contest and got a FREE HAPPY HOUR that I can invite my friends to and if I get enough to come I get free drinks and a gift card. Can't wait to go back!

This place is so fun when they have a live band! The bar is owned by the same people who own the chain in NYC and I always have fun. It wasn't super packed for a Saturday which was kinda nice and the band played great music. It was disappointing that they were taking song requests but never played any of the songs we put in.

I'm going to preface this with saying that my friend and I are in our 30s and we were only two drinks in before arriving at Howl at the Moon. If we were a decade younger or late into a girls night out, this place would have gotten more stars. Pros: Cheap drinks (happy hour until 11), strong drinks, great playlist! Cons: Poor service (Bartenders were often standing around. I asked one guy for a drink, he said he was a bar back and couldn't help me, then proceeded to just stand there instead of letting an available bartender know that I wanted a drink), overly sweet mixed drinks, way too young of a crowd. Also, while the set list was awesome, the singers were hit or miss. But if you are as drunk as the girl who got up on the stage and started flashing everyone and making out with strangers, then none of the cons or quality of the performers matters!

Awesome environment. Live band was super fun and very lively environment. Bartenders were mediocre at best.

OK, I get it, I'm too old for this kind of shenanigans. I went with a large group to Howl at the Moon in Philly on a Saturday night for a Bachelorette Party. At first, I was super excited. One of the ladies said we were going to a piano bar with dueling pianos! Yes, I thought, this will be a chill night with pianos and wine and all that fun stuff. No, not at all, I was sadly very mistaken about what kind of place this was. Yes, there were two pianos on the stage, I'll give them that, but it was an entire band and they were playing anything from rap, to rock, to dance music, to whatever else. We paid the $5.00 cover fee (not bad) and found a high top table to sit at with our large group. I will say our server was very very nice and very very attentive. She thankfully kept the drinks flowing. The bar was packed and the crowd there was extremely young. I'm pretty sure there were kids under 21. I don't personally care, but they just made me feel that much older. The floors were sticky, the dance floor was packed, there were creepers left and right... a typical city bar scene that maybe I would have been down with in my early 20's, but just not anymore. Our bachelorette of the evening had a great time though, and in the end, that's really all that matters.

Bouncer tried to scam me and make me pay her $10 even though none of my friends had to pay. Singled me out. Was very rude. Watch out for scammers at this business!!!! Do not recommend!

They have really good deals and it is easy to win a happy hour there that gives all your guests two 1$ drink tickets, free cover, and other stuff. I think 5 or so people in my group won happy hours so we kept coming back haha. They play live music which was pretty good and lots of people were dancing. Although the setup is kind of weird, overall its a great place to go out in Philly.

I would give this place 5 stars but I feel like it would be awesome if they had some bar games too! Other than that it has a great size, the staff is very nice and give great service, good drinks and good atmosphere. The stage with the pianos and musicians is the main attraction and they are a lot of fun! We were here for a special event so they weren't serving their signature drinks, but they all looked amazing!!!

I've been here for several birthdays and meetup happy hours - overall, the party package one "wins" is not a bad deal: free admission, free buffet, two tickets for $1 drinks, and entertainment in the form of dueling pianos (and the occasional drum/guitar backup). It's a decent place to hang out with friends, do sneaky karaoke/sing along, and score a light "cheat day"/carbo load dinner and two beers/wines/cocktails. It does get very loud with the enthusiastic piano dueling and singing (both from the performers and the crowd). Hit/Miss: Performers. I've had amazing sessions that worked the venue into a rave, and some that had me cringing ever other song. Hit/Miss: Food. I don't mind fried yums (ravioli/pierogi), bulk protein (chicken tenders/meatballs with BBQ glaze), or pasta (lucked out with a penne with vodka/blush sauce) ... but folks with dietary restrictions may find the lack of options challenging. Too good to be true? You be the judge! Regardless of the review, I have to hand it to the performers to play so many songs and work it!

Not a very fun time. Went with three friends on the Friday before Halloween, so I can't say what this place is like on a 'regular' weekend, but it was...strange, to say the least. Extremely crowded, sweaty, people everywhere, could barely move. Took forever to get a drink and it wasn't particularly good. Live music. I personally didn't mind the songs but two of my friends thought they weren't that good. Cost $10 to get in -- I'm not an expert on the area so I don't know how that price compares. Would probably be a fun place if you were pretty drunk, and I saw people who seemed to be having a good time, but for us it wasn't really anything special. Cool trough sinks in the bathroom, though. I got a kick out of those.

Husband and I attended last night, the place was really packed! I recommend you to by the Jump in the line pass, this saves you time and let you in right away, also the cover charge is free , plus it comes with a gift card of $10 towards drinks, Just amazing. We had a great time and we were filled of high energy vibe. The age range is between 20's-40is which was not at problem, everyone was dancing away and having a tremendous experience like we did. The Staff was very friendly, professional, and courteous. Great place to unwind. Band did a fantastic job of keeping the party going.

I've only been here once so I am not a very experienced patron of Howl At the Moon. It was fine though, kind of a mix between a dive bar and sports bar? Idk. There was live music but it was weird. I think was there on an off night. Nice lighting!

When I came here I was extremely excited because I've seen so many pictures, but when I got there It kind of lived up to the hype like the live music was good until the piano man said the N-word and let me tell you he was not black. The drinks were OK. I would love to see a mechanical bull in there maybe a photo booth section and a few theme inspired Games. It's literally just a bar with live music and blah drinks, actually, let me be honest my drink was nasty, but it could've been my choice although I asked the bartender what was the most popular one in that's what he told me so the drinks are nasty. oh yeah and I had to pay to get in

I came here on vacation in Philly. The location was awesome and the place was huge but the drinks are very watered down & the live band was not good. We did have the food and that was delicious as well. I would recommend stronger drinks and better bands!

First things first: this is not a dueling pianos bar. Yes there are two pianos and two... pianists. But, in the traditional sense, they do not duel and really this place is at its worst when it is just one of them playing the piano. Musically, this place shines when the two pianos are joined in by other musicians who periodically come on to play guitars drums bass and sing. They turn into a really versatile wedding band who can transition from Elton John to Beyoncé to Big and Rich. Other reviews you read here are correct - the mixed drinks are very weak (albeit cheap early on). The bartenders do stand around a lot. I would aim to be tipsy when you get here rather than get tipsy once you are there. Btw - reserving a table usually is not necessary if you get there before 9 or so. And if you are planning your night in advance, you can set up your own "happy hour" which includes free cover and discounted (weak) drinks plus some very low level snacks.

They don't care about women. They kicked out my friend because a guy was harassing her. I talked to security and the bouncer to make sure they were going to do something about the guy still at the bar. Security proceeded to tell me the guy left from a side door and to stop worrying about it. I talked to a manager who said my friend was aggressive towards the guy who was harassing her so they had to kick her out. The manager then kicked me out bc I was angry they weren't doing anything about it. Overall they don't care about these situations.

This place is a blast! My group of friends loved the live music and the bucket drinks. Our only complaint was that they were REALLY sweet, we couldn't really taste any alcohol. It's hard to find a table so if you'd like to sit, I'd recommend getting there a little early. I'll definitely come here again for another girls night out!

Their over-the-top large shared drinks and extremely talented group of musicians make this bar the place to be during a night out in the city! I was so impressed with the artists here. You can request any song, and somehow, the whole band can play it! Mad skills. Most of the musicians I witnessed can play 3+ instruments! Very impressive! Drinks... very unique. If you like tacky, over the top looking drinks like I do, you've come to the right place. Not only can you order an 86 oz drink in a bucket with 4 long colorful bendy straws, you will enjoy every sip! What?! That's right, they figured out how to make delicious concoctions so you won't get sick of their drinks and waste it. Cannot recommend a better place to listen to live music and dance the night away!

You know what? This place is aight. You know how I feel about piano bars: It's not my scene, I don't really like (or even dislike, but if you ask me what I want to sing, it's almost never what's being played there) most of the music that's requested by most of the people here. The place feels like a version of Smokey Joe's or Blarney Stone for 20-somethings. But, this place is aight. The service is good, the crowd is rowdy, but not roid-rage-try-to-pick-a-fight rowdy, and the prices are about right for what you get. If my friends call me up and say "we're going to Howl at the Moon," I'll stop by for a drink. Which, when it comes to me and piano bars, is a pretty impressive feat. Cheers to you, Howl.

I've been to the Louisville Howl at the Moon before coming to this location. I've tried many times to come here for the past few years, but the line has always been too long. I don't like covers, crowds, or waiting. On Saint Patrick's day, my wife and I hit Philadelphia by storm and we were headed to the Irish bar next door, when we saw Howl at the Moon had a crowd, but it wasn't too busy. We decided to take advantage of the situation and we entered. No cover, we grabbed a drink and found a table. We were there for over an hour and grabbed more drinks. It was packed when we left and everyone was having a great time. Maybe I'll be able to return one day once the sun has set. There really always is a line and there are people waiting to get in.

The crowd was very lively and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves. There is a cover charge of $10 on the weekends. The drinks seemed watered down but were competitively priced ($8-$12 per drink). Very fun bar, would definitely return but would pregame elsewhere!

This is a frequent meet up for my coworkers and I. It's one of the best Happy Hours in this area of the city, especially if you're broke like me. If you "win" one of their happy hours, you (and anyone who gives your name at the door) gets free entry, free appetizer buffet, and 2 $1 drink tickets. How do you win? Attend a happy hour and insert a contact card at the door. I've been twice, and "won" twice. Maybe it's a coincidence. Or maybe everyone wins. No complaints either way. It's a perfectly decent spot to get some free food and start your night, but it can get pretty busy post-happy hour and their drink prices are not the best if you're not benefiting from the $1 tickets. Seating is kind of limited, and if you're not lucky enough to grab a table before it gets crowded, you'll be stuck standing all night. The crowd is typically a mixture of mid-30's bachelorette parties and 21 year olds, and it can get really crowded and rowdy on weekends. It's a fun time if you're with the right people, but if you're looking for a place to kick back or have a conversation, I would look elsewhere.

Lively spot. This larger then average pub has a nice bar with excellent drinks and decent food. There are dueling pianos providing fun entertainment. If you like to dance, Howl at the Moon is your kind of place with its large dance floor. The bartenders give you a good pour. And prices for food and drink are moderate. There is often a complimentary Happy Hour Mexican buffet. You can build your own Tacos (soft or hard shell). The guacamole is excellent. This place is popular with the after workday office crowd.

I came here for a bachelorette party and did not know what to expect....well let me help you....you can expect A LOT of other Bachelorette parties! I don't say this as a bad thing, since bachelorette parties are always a good time. I will warn you, that you do NOT need to get suckered into their table service and all that. If you do the package that is like $15 a person, with one drink ticket, admission and the bachelorette gets a song......it's more than enough. Plus, if you get there early, you can snag some FREE tables to sit at. Also, those huge bucket drinks are all juice, and massively pricey. Just ordered regular drinks or beer and save yourself the sugarrush. I honestly don't know how people got as drunk as they did here, since most people were drinking those fruity drinks. The dueling pianos is really cool...but I don't see the bachelorette party attraction to that. I feel like although the performers were very talented, I didn't feel like getting up to dance...and trust me, we tried. We had them sing Genuine's Pony to our bachelorette....it was fun, but more funny than fun. This is more for the bride that is very respectful of the sacrament of marriage, but still wants to drink. Anyways, I would recommend going next door to the attached lounge that has good hip hop playing. I don't know what the deal is with that place, but the bouncer said there was an additional $15 cover! Needless to say, we used our feminine wiles and snuck in. The party was a great time there and a PERFECT way to end the evening after all that piano singing.

*NEVER GOING BACK* I heard the bouncer make a lewd comment about a woman walking down the sidewalk. I felt uncomfortable and asked him to consider his comment. He told me to "stop it" because other customers were entering the building and I was "making trouble." Back inside, the bouncer accosted me to once again tell me to "stop making trouble" and not to say anything to the manager to get him in trouble. Management was no help, after telling them what occurred, they told me I was making trouble, that I was being irrational, and that I was making a scene in front of others. The manager walked away while I was still speaking. The assistant manager at least remained behind long enough to tell me to "let it go." I was dismissed by the management. I was told I was hysterical, irrational, making trouble. Not a single person was willing to recognize that the behavior of the employee was the issue. It became less about the lewd comment and more about the staff's response to my issue. Disappointed..

Egh-not my type of place and the service stunk!. Went there b/c I had won a happy hour for a friend there. They gave us wrist bands and we could eat @ the buffet which was pretty decent. I think we also had reduced price drinks until a certain time. Once it got started to get crowded, service slacked a lot! We were able to get a table but the server was so slow that we would get drinks at the bar ourselves. The music was ok I guess but I don't prefer live bands and cover songs really. They did their best to play and sing the original but it just wasn't the same for me. I still prefer a DJ. I won't ever be going back since I'm not into this place and since the service lacked!

I am so confused by this place. First off, at the relatively young age of 26, I feel like a total Grandma in here! It's full of kids, and by that I mean the 21 year olds who are trying out bars and clubs for the first time. Most seem even younger than that, and these kids have just not learned bar etiquette yet. You will be stepped on, rammed into, and touched by more sweaty people than you thought possible. The space is small and cramped, so I started to feel quite faint from the heat. If there's one way I would describe this place, it would be amateur; seriously seasoned drinkers and dancers need not even bother. There's also an abundance of extremely annoying bachelorette parties here, with every other song ending in a shout out to a pack of young girls who are clearly binge drinking their way to the hospital. Anyway, the music isn't bad. The performers are clearly talented and have a good energy that should not be wasted here. Think an even more depressing Piano Man scenario than the actual song. Speaking of Billy Joel, somebody requested actually Italian Restaurant and the band actually played it. Even though it's one of my favorites, really? Playing Italian Restaurant at a dance club? I was shocked when most of the crowd started singing along and seemed to dig it. I guess people can surprise you sometimes. And I guess that the kids these days like piano bars. Aside from the piano aspect (which is a welcome change in the club scene), this place is a dump. Their drink menu and prices leave a lot to be desired. All the people clamoring for the never ending supply of Jell-O shots kind of grossed me out. The dancing flat out sucks, and most people just sway in a drunken stupor. Leave this stuff for the amateurs, a better time can be had elsewhere.

I have visited this place in College and always loved it! Love the music and the cool drinks/Jell-O shots they have. They offer a Happy Hour special of 2 $1 drinks! I also tried their Cosmo and it wasn't great, kind of reminded me of Pine Sol to be honest. But the bartenders were superrr nice!

There are plenty of other places you can go to in the area that don't have a $10 cover charge. But seriously, ten dollars a person?? For ladies and men? I was surprised when we walked in and the place was moderately crowded. I came with a group of people on a Saturday night around 10:30. No comment on bar service, but I was left open-mouthed for a second time that night when I played 10.50 for two Bud Lights. I've heard good reviews for the live music there before, but I was not impressed by them from what I heard. The atmosphere and vibe were odd. The business clearly knows how to over charge and keep the hype but I don't know why people keep coming back. We left after less than an hour, went to Bob and Barbara's, got plenty of their City Wides, and danced to some great live jazz. I never plan to come back unless someone pays me over $50 for my time.

Went here for my friends bachelorette party and it was so much fun!! There were actually a few bachelorette parties there at the same time. It was on a Saturday and it was pretty crowded and lots of people were dancing near the stage. The musicians were fantastic and played a range of music. I liked all the songs. I give this place a 5 based on only the club vibe and live musicians. Cover charge was $10 which is kind of high. I wouldn't want to go there often but it was definitely an experience I would recommend.

Just planned my birthday party here last weekend, Devon was awesome in helping arranging all the details for me. Everything was perfect, and we were set up with a table right next to the stage! I really couldn't have asked for anything more; everyone had a great time, and the waitresses/service was great. The band/musicians were amazing, they all played each instrument and nailed every song they covered. Looking forward to coming back sometime soon!

Over hyped. After a wait in line and a $10 cover to get in... having a bachelorette party demanding first service at the bar bc of whatever reason they were screaming to anyone in earshot was a bad start to our visit. I counted 7 bachelorette parties during our (short) visit... Each were competing against eah other for 'best crew' it seemed and was strange to see so many. It made sense once I saw an ad on a table saying host your party here. I most certainly will not when the time comes. Pros: location Cons: indifferent staff who were openly rude to patrons, nodiscript speciality drinks, waits, covers...

Mixed feelings about this place. Love the live band. Love the club feeling. It was awkward experiencing both at the same time. Sometimes, there there's a club vibes with the live band playing country genre or covering a club music. Lots of throwback songs. Didn't taste any alcohol in the drinks. It's basically expensive juice! I don't mind, but don't expect to get your money's worth if you're planning to get littt. It's fun when you go out with a massive group. There's so much potential for this place, but as of right now, it's so overrated. Try their $5 needle jello shots! Fun to try, not sure if there was alc.

How at the Moon is such a fun bar in Center City Philadelphia. The atmosphere is always great here and my friends and I always have a great time. My only complaint, amongst other peoples complaint, is the band here. They play the same songs over and over again. You're able to request songs but they wont play them at all unless you pay. What's the point of requesting songs when they're not gonna play them? Very disappointing.

A couple walks through the door with their IDs out.... Doorman " You guys are good...just a $10 cover each" Me " hey man...I don't like paying cover, so is there a way I can walk in and have a bar minimum instead?" Doorman "I'm going to tackle you if you don't walk away right now" The doorman could have said yes or no....but he automatically escalated the situation for no apparent reason. Thanks. Not a venue I'm going to be visiting. This was on Friday, April 14th, 2017 at 9PM. Management: Take note or lose business.

Oh, God. My experience here was...well, it was an experience. The main thing you should take away from my review is this: if you are over the age of 27, you are probably going to feel very uncomfortable here. I went here with some ladies for a bachelorette party. Everyone was between the ages of 28-32. I can say that at least 50% of the songs that were played were completely foreign to me, 20% of them were super duper emo songs from like 2003, and the other 30% were crowd requests that were actually decent (Tom Petty, anyone?). This place may be for you if you are having a 21st birthday, LOVE to be so cramped you can't even rotate your body 360 degrees, if you enjoy waiting in line for the bathroom for approximately 30 minutes, or if you'd like to spend your whole night at the bar trying to get one drink. Last note - one of the girls in our group gave a sexy bouncer who was a Kahl Drogo look-alike the phone number of one of the single ladies in our group. He texted her, and she found out he's IN COLLEGE. Old. This place makes you feel SO. OLD.
