"The British weather is an absolute fuck boi. There, we said it. One minute it’s all ‘oh hey, I’m shining’ and the next you’re weeping in a puddle wondering why you ever trusted them enough to wear sandals. But we’re tentatively believing our weather apps when they say that there will be some serious sunshine this weekend. And what do you do when it’s sunny? Eat tacos outside, of course. Mexican BBQ folk The Scoundrels are currently serving their fresh tortillas and gooey quesadillas at Old Street Brewery which, confusingly, is actually in Hackney Wick. "From the line of massive steel tanks behind Howling Hops’ Hackney Wick bar, beers (both the brewery’s core and seasonal) are served unpasteurised straight from tank to tankard without touching a keg, can, or bottle on the way. Clearly, visitors don’t hold back — in the late evenings, the taproom erupts into a disco of sorts, with limb-throwing patrons all too willing to get involved. Until nightclubs start serving their own lemon goses and US-hopped pale ales, this is the next best thing." - Hugh Thomas
