East Side standby with two menus: familiar favorites and an off-menu trove—spicy fish, beef tendon, and Fujian-leaning dishes. Shepherd Express encouraged adventurous diners to ask for the traditional offerings.

Huan Xi has always got my orders correct. They also consistently have my food ready within 15 minutes. I love their food and the people that work there are always happy, respectful, and attentive. This is my go to take out place!! Give them a try!

Google
Great food! Looks to be mostly a take out place. I ate inside and found things lovely. A bit worn from a booth standpoint, but most people were doing takeout so likely it won't matter to most. I would go back in a second because the food was soo good!

Google
One of the best places in Wisconsin to get authentic Chinese food, best in Milwaukee for sure! Their Sichuan dishes are pretty on par. The "La Zhi Gi" wasn't dry and crispy, however. Other than that, their dumplings are authentic, with good filling (prepared properly so a meatball doesn't fall out of a half eaten dumpling) and their spicy fish is awesome. A little slow on their service, but overall not bad and a friendly staff.

Google
Ordered delivery and very happy - flavor profiles of our noodle dishes was full but not overly sauced or salty (compared to many other Chinese options) Steamed dumplings were also delicious. Overall perfect for the traditional Chinese takeout we were looking for.

Just received an order via Uber Eats. I ordered shrimp fried rice and seafood lo mein. Both were disappointing, lacked flavor and the noodles tasted old. I wish I could get a refund. I will never order from this restaurant again.

AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT REAL KBBQ, THIS CAN'T EVEN BE CALLED KBBQ! Ugh so where do we start? From the poor service to the crazy wait times it was all so very irritating. We went here to try out the kbbq, not really sure what to expect. We have been to many many kbbq both good and bad. If this is what you are looking for stop. Don't even bother going here. We noticed right away that there is absolutely no banchan whatsoever, ok... well let's see what they have to offer for meat and veggie selection. Poor selection choice and not many are even marinated. More headache, our waitress rarely ever checked up on us and was slow to replenish our orders for more food. We even had a switcheroo of waitresses, there are 2 waitresses now serving us, both incompetent. Service again is slow and they weren't even busy! This is Sunday night! They gave us a side of lettuce to eat with the bbq I guess you can say that's their "banchan", but it was in a container not really fit for serving food in. Not only that there was a piece of bokchoy mixed in which says A LOT! Half way through they switched our grill and my husband wiped the grill because there was something on it. To his surprise there was a filthy layer of black residue that came off onto his napkin. Obviously they are not washing their equipment very well. We did order from their regular menu for the kids and both the lomein and chicken noodle soup were just ok. The fried dumplings on the other hand was a total overcooked burnt mess. I can't believe they actually served this to us! When it came time to get the check they didn't even bother to come get it. By this time I was already so very irritated that I went ahead and took it up to the register to pay. I didn't even bother to pack any of the left over lomein and soup, and that's saying a lot coming from me. I never waste food! Overall I'd give them negative stars if I could. I wish I could post the pictures I took. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

Google
Service was extremely fast, probably the fastest chinese takeout ever. Prices were also very reasonable. Food is blah. Had to add packets of soy sauce to give the food any flavor at all. You get what you pay for. Would rather find a buffet than order again.

Freddie Peng

Google
Maybe the only place you can get a hot pot in Milwaukee?! However, compared to the hot pot we had back in Asia. Food is fine, but a bit pricy for the portion size. It's just not a place you feel fully confident to recommend to others.

Yelp
Huan Xi's General Tso's Chicken is the real deal--spicy, super crispy, and perfectly prepared. It's the kind of dish that keeps you coming back, even if it brings a little sweat to your forehead. There's currently no dine-in option (the dining area still seems to be sectioned off from COVID days), so it's takeout only for now. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but honestly? Worth every penny for the quality and flavor. If you're craving bold, well-executed Chinese takeout, Huan Xi delivers--literally and figuratively.

Yelp
YUM! My hubby and I'd favorite Chinese spot on the Eastside - we ordered to go and the food was all hot and delicious by the time we got home to enjoy. Went with the kung pao chicken and the sesame chicken, both were great and heated up well the next day for work. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I've tried to stop at Huan Xi Chinese Restaurant a couple times before, but they've always been closed due to the time of day or the specific day I stopped. I was finally able to make it while they were open an evening after work. I placed a to go order (dine-in is not an option) for pork egg rolls and beef lo mein. The lo mein was ok. I normally get chicken cause beef has such a wide range of quality from Chinese restaurants. Their beef was better quality than others I've had, but not necessarily top tier either. I wouldn't say no to getting the lo mein again, but I'm not clamoring for it. The egg rolls were disappointing. It's $5 for two with no option to get them individually. For $2.50 each I expect either good quality (obviously my preference) or at least good size. These were neither. As you can see in the pictures I uploaded, together they were about the size of my four fingers (thumb not included) and they had a grocery store freezer section quality to them. A complete waste of money and the reason my review is 2-stars instead of 3-stars like if I would have ordered the lo mein by itself.

M K.

Yelp
This is my go-to takeout place. The food is consistently good, at great prices, and I like to support a small business. I loved their salt & pepper tofu so much that it was hard to branch out beyond that, and it's still my favorite tho it's not on the menu anymore. I also like their fried rice, moo shu veggies, and sesame tofu which is a bit sweeter than one might expect. It's not extravagant, but great and satisfying comfort food on a budget. The food is always ready quickly and an entree is two meals for me. I'm grateful to have them nearby.

Yelp
I'm so glad I found this place. They passed the egg drop soup/crap Rangoon test. I needed a place that stays open and available. So easy to go in and out. Loved it. Would give it a 5 yet it was dark and felt some uneasiness going in.

Yelp
I'm usually super critical of Chinese places doing a sloppy job, but this place gets it right. Everything I've had on the menu is done right and on time. Highly recommend this place. Bravo!

Charlotte C.

Yelp
It's not just because they are around the corner because no matter what they are fast. Now....the taste is a whole nother world. They never fail me. The service is great as well as the people that work there.

Anthony M.

Yelp
Always fast and reliable they've never messed up and order and the food is always ready quick and piping hot. Ordering is always easy and the employees are so kind. Overall great place.

Yelp
Somewhat forgettable Americanized Chinese food. The fried dishes like General Tso's Chicken is too soggy, other dishes are too salty without other flavors. Not enough vegetables, and they make a lot of cheaper substitutions for the more expensive Chinese vegetables. Service seems okay.
google avatar

Naomi C.

Yelp
The seafood delight had zero pieces of lobster and zero flavor. The steamed dumplings were worse. I've had better frozen egg rolls from the grocery store. Ordered via Door dash and food arrived hot and the portions were large. It just didn't taste like anything. $52

Yelp
Food was good with good flavor. Quantity was more than enough. My dad and I enjoyed it very much. Will definitely order from them again. Delivery service was fast and friendly.

Yelp
This place great however i don't find theyre fryed rice to be actually fryed. it is much more like regular rice with egg and soy sauce added to it. What i truly do break my heart over is that they removed the General Toes Shrimp from theyre menu. Even tho it is a basic dish, the sauce they use for General Toes is truely amaze and I am sad they dont offer the shramp Mr Toes version any longer. Very nice staff and good foot

Yelp
Delivery in 20 minutes on a Friday night! Very large portions. I'll have enough to eat for 2 more days! Tasty chicken lo mein and cashew chicken.

Yelp
I was wanting some Mongolian beef so I saw it was on the menu and I drove over, my lunch combo thing might win once I am in the place for the fried rice. The place has moved around the corner from the original spot but it's in the same building, on the big lot side now. The menu is huge with my Mongolian beef and it's a lunch special also but I went with the dinner Mongolian beef and an order of pork egg rolls. My food came fast and hot in about 10 minutes with my order of egg rolls. The egg rolls were the smaller kind but two in the order which were better than average but not that great egg roll. The Mongolian beef looked and smelled good and thank you for not skimping on the beef and using a ton of onions to make it look bigger like some places do. The Mongolian beef Was good with that slightly sweet Taste and that quiet heat, you can't feel it on your tongue like hot wings but your nose starts to run. The beef was plentiful and tender with green and white onions that had some crunch left in them, thank you. Overall my crave for Mongolian beef was completely satisfied because it was beefy with just the right amount onions so I would definitely go back for more of the menu. 188.

Yelp
OMG there is decent Chinese food in Milwaukee! A friend gave me a tip to try this place, and I was not disappointed. First, I ordered the egg drop soup. It was extremely low cost, and tasted great. Next, we tried two different kinds of dumplings - steamed and friend. Both were good. For our 8 year old, chicken fried rice, one of the most pedestrian Chinese food dishes, fit the bill well. She liked it and it was not "spicy" or to flavorful for a young child. That being said, I put some hot sauce on it the next day and it was delicious! My husband ordered the traditional dish, "sautéed beef with flat wide noodle." It was outstanding. Seriously, I could eat they dish every day. So flavorful! My dish was Mu Shu Pork. Full of lots of veggies, which I loved and pieces of pork. I ate it for three different meals, and the flavor improved each time. This is a hidden gem. I can't wait to order again.

Yelp
On Monday for lunch I got the Chicken with Broccoli and Chicken Curry. The chicken curry wasn't a curry exactly as it didn't have much sauce. The flavor was somewhat odd too. The chicken in the chicken with broccoli was somewhat slimey or slippery. Both came with good rice. The one menu I looked at online said lunch specials were $6.50. They were actually ~$9.50.

Yelp
Went with the General Tso's lunch combo with egg roll. As a lover of Sichuan food, I try to have my Americanized Chinese extremely hot as well, although it typically does not work. The General's was actually quite legit. The meat tasted much higher quality than you typically get at most Americanized Chinese spots. Not fried overly hard nor breaded too much, but didn't pack much in terms of spice. The chicken would get a 4.5/5. Hot and Sour soup is to die for, and an exceptional deal at the price! $3.50 for a quart, and they'll even make it super spicy for you. Must get as an add-on, and saves quite well for the following day. 5/5 Unfortunately, the egg roll and egg fried rice left little to be desired. Egg roll was soggy and the fried rice offered very little in terms of veggies. Overall, it's a 5/5 in terms of cheap Chinese, but a strong 3.5 to 4/5 if you're including all restaurants!

Yelp
I've called 3 times. The first 2 times it rang and rang and rang and the 3rd time someone answered and immediately hung up before speaking to me.

Yelp
My favorite Chinese restaurant in Milwaukee!! Their egg drop soup and crab Rangoon are sensational. They have a nice selection of vegetarian options, including tofu and "vegan meats". I order to go here at least twice a month! Very kind folks and fast preparation.

Yelp
Good Chinese food, great prices, very friendly people! Although not open for sit down, it's my go to Chinese in the area!

Yelp
Tl:dr when you're a complete novice, maybe go with someone who has done a hot pot before... I showed up on a Friday night and there was definitely a wait for hot pot - from two-person tables up to giant family-sized tables with 8 or more people! When we were called back onsite after the wait had died down, we tried getting the full comprehension of what we were choosing. The cooker is in front of you and apparently should pretty much be on high at all times. You were able to pick your choice of broth and everything else was alacarte and as much as you wanted (buffet style). I was a little overwhelmed and ordered WAY too much (and also burned myself cause I'm a damn klutz). They give a sheet and you can pick multiples in the follow categories: protein/meats, seafood, noodles, dumplings, veggies and some misc. They also have an entire sauce bar where you can mix and match the flavors you like best to dip and add. Some of my favorite things I threw in my pot - head on shrimp (ah!), corn on the cob, dumplings, mushrooms and most of the other veggies. I have a bit of a phobia about cooking meats so I usually left them in there too long which made them a little tough (that was my fault). I would say for someone who likes adventure or a first date that puts you both in a little hot water (SEE WHAT I DID THERE) it's a pretty fun time.

Yelp
I come to Huan Xi for their hot pot. They have the best hot pot selection in Milwaukee but their broth is just okay. You get a large piece of paper to mark what you want. What I really enjoy about their hot pot is that they have individual pots and a community pot. I've been able to come in at all different hours with a party of 6 with no issues. Service is extremely slow. It took forever to get our second round of meats. You cannot take a break when you're doing AYCE. If you're craving hot pot, Huax Xi will take care of it.

Bald D.

Yelp
When they served hotpot it was great and worth it. Now it's just a regular Chinese take out spot.

Yelp
I was craving food not made by myself, so we took a gamble and ordered Huan Xi through Eatstreet for delivery. They have a good selection on the menu, and lots of vegetarian options. It's disappointing that they don't have descriptions or photos of their dishes, which forced me to Google what's in what traditionally. I think that would be huge help for their customers, especially because some people have allergies. My boyfriend wanted the General Tso's Chicken (medium spice) and it came with a side for $8.25, not bad. All of their dinner special options are the same way. I wanted tofu and broccoli but nothing on the menu really stood out to me so I went with the mock chicken, Kung Pao Vegetarian Chicken, medium spice level. I threw in a few extras, a side of vegetable spring rolls, the pancakes, and crab rangoon. The spring rolls were smaller and could have used more filling, and even though the menu says you get 2 we got 4. The crab rangoon was decent, sauce packets provided. I have to admit I didn't know what the pancakes would look like but I assumed a pancake of some sort. To my surprise, they're just paper thin crepe like square sheets and honestly I don't even know how you would use them. They're 4 for a $1 so it wasn't a huge waste of money but next time I will skip those. The mock chicken. Oh please, no. Bad idea. That ruined my dish. It's rubbery, has a weird shape like a curled up flat square, and honestly just thinking about the texture when I chewed it makes me cringe. It was like chewing on a rubber band ball. For this dish, why do they not offer tofu as an option instead? Maybe in person it's possible to sub things. But aside from that, the sauce was really runny and zero spice, I asked for medium. It wasn't flavorful at all. There were random mushrooms, carrots, celery, green peppers and peanuts. It was a strange dish and I would not recommend it no matter what protein is used. My boyfriend liked his dish so there's that. I'm sure there are great things on the menu based on the reviews here, it just wasn't a win for me.

Madhurima D.

Yelp
Prices are quite reasonable and the quantities are good. Quality has been consistently good. Never had a bad meal. Their chicken wings are delicious. Loved all the entree dishes that I have tried so far. Their delivery service is also pretty consistent, food always arrived hot and on time.

Yelp
This is probably my 5th visit here and that proves that I like the food here enough to frequent. The restaurant is pretty clean and well lit with nice big tables that has hot pot stations and electric grills embedded on the tables. As you enter you will be asked if you would like a traditional menu (chinese food entrees) or a hot pot menu. I always go for the all you can eat hot pot buffet style which is $23.95 per adult and less than $10 for kids. I always get half&half broth of beef bone and Schezuan Spicy broth, and order fatty beef along with many other vegetables, seafood, noodles, gyoza, etc. The choices are endless and you can order as much you can eat. All items come out fresh with generous portions. The meats are frozen meats but still tasty when cooked in the boiling broths. This is the place I would come if I am really hungry and I want lots of food at a value price. The service is not super friendly or professional but certainly can get away with it as this is not a really a romantic nor a fine dining restaurant. It's a casual spot with no frills and decent chinese hot pot for sure.

Yelp
I went in to Huan Xi for hot pot with my friends for a belated LNY dinner. Now, I'm a firm believer that each restaurant has its own special thing, their special thing is what they do best and it really is what makes them shine. At Huan Xi, their hot pot makes them shine. A great assortment of ingredients, "Hot Pot Projectiles" (they're all getting thrown in), and all were good quality and brought out quickly after we ordered them. I ordered a bubble tea, the tapioca was good, cooked all the way through unlike some other boba I've had in Chicago. I ordered a taro boba, but I think I was just given a regular milk tea. Oh well, it was still delicious, stuff happens, and the food was good. No complaints here. I was intrigued by the individual hot pot burners, and I look forward to future return trips - it was nice to have that option, especially for people who want to eat alone, with dietary restrictions, or who have food allergies. For good hot pot, with good quality ingredients and an atmosphere like a family restaurant you feel at home in, Huan Xi is the place to go!
google avatar

Jessica K.

Yelp
Huan Xi has a special place in my heart because it's our neighborhood Chinese restaurant, and they always provide good food and fast and reliable service. It's comforting to me because when I've had a long day and am too tired to cook, it's so easy to order takeout from Huan Xi. They have familiar favorites, as well as some more adventurous options. You can order anything from beef and broccoli to sautéed pig intestines (my boyfriends favorite!) It's a nice, solid, local joint. P.s. I am writing this in August of 2021, and as of now they are takeout/pick up only.

Yelp
A slightly strange location with great hot pot. This is a little hole-in-the-wall that's surprisingly nice inside. The hot pot menu might be a hair overwhelming at first (this is definitely a place that targets in-the-know types, there's very little explanation), so don't be shy to ask for help. Keep in mind that most hot pot places, including this one, can be a hair pricey - don't expect a budget Chinese restaurant. The hot pot here is excellent. They have every ingredient you could possibly ask for and more, generous helpings at the price point, and the soup base (I recommend the divided pot) is great. I would definitely recommend going here with friends.

Nathan L.

Yelp
Consistently exceeding standards for food quality and reliability. They deserve a shout out

Yelp
Coming from warm LA ok business to Milwaukee in cold February I was craving the warming broth and Chinese hot pot. This place has really good broth (I had the first two) and fresh fresh ingredients, perfect for a hot pot! Their sauce selection is superb and service was really good and friendly as well. Wishing them success and next time I'm in Milwaukee I'll be sure to visit again! Spread the word and support for small businesses! They also had korean bbq which I haven't tried but the grill looked prime for it!
google avatar

Mark U.

Yelp
My son had been wanting to go here for some time now. We went right around when they opened on a weekend so it wasn't busy at all yet. The service was somewhat marginal, however the food was really great. The sauce bar has everything you could want to make this exactly the gastronomic experience you want! The AYCE for $25 I think is a great deal. The restaurant was clean and the quality of the food was excellent. I love going to places like this that most people walk right past without even noticing it, or knowing how great it is. It's easy to miss, in a strip mall, but go!
google avatar

Stephanie S.

Yelp
Food tastes great! Small business owned by hard working people. The space is really small too. Glad to see they update the tables and chairs in there recently. And hear that they are opening the FIRST hotpot place in town! Yay! I love hotpot! Every Chinese loves it! Can't wait! Better be reasonably priced, too. Just got take out order again today since I live too far for delivery. Oh NOTE my non-Chinese speaking friends, you can actually ask for an authentic Chinese menu there to eat REAL Chinese food - that's nothing like General Tso's Chicken or Orange Chicken (which are items made in America that most people in China never even heard of... actually most American Chinese restaurants' menu are never heard of...). My fave is the spicy kind - boiled fish fillet (Shui Zhu Yu Pian), boiled beef/pork (Shui Zhu Rou Pian), Fu Qi Fei Pian. And the Chinese Broccoli dish and Crispy Duck dish received extra credit from several of my American friends' palate.
google avatar

Kim C.

Yelp
I'm not generally a fan of Chinese food. I usually think it's too salty, greasy and bland. This place surprised the heck out of me! It's absolutely delicious. We tried a variety of appetizers and main dishes. All were fantastic! The seaweed and egg drop soup was a particular standout. I was particularly impressed by the complex and multi-layered flavors. Take-out/delivery only. Highly recommended!
google avatar

Clara R.

Yelp
I've been searching for a new Chinese food takeout place and this is not it Prices are enticing but not worth it. Crab Rangoon is 90% friend dough with a small amount of filling, fried wontons were not edible and my every bite of my beef entree I could help but cringe at the bitterness of the flavor. I've never stopped eating a meal as quickly and I will be throwing out majority of my meal. Only ever done this once before with restaurant food. My search continues for Asian takeout
google avatar

Nathalie W.

Yelp
I will go here again! The hot pot isn't on the regular menu, they have a different paper for it
google avatar

Michael G.

Yelp
The food quality has gone way downhill in the last year. We ate here over 40 times and the quality and service have diminished to a point of no return. The service is slow and the employees are poorly. Trained. We will never go back to Huan Xi again...
google avatar

S W.

Yelp
Only place for real hot pot in Milwaukee! For $23.95 (ish) you get all-you-can eat hot pot items round after round. The restaurant is newly renovated with either community hot pot or individual hot pots available. They also have three private VIP lounges that would be great for group events. The service was very friendly and were super helpful in answering all my questions! Get the hot pot, you will not regret it!
google avatar

Abdullah B.

Yelp
I ate Chins food before and i do like it. But the food I ordered from Huan Xi was hung pao the smell was too much for me also was not testy.
google avatar

Shauna D.

Yelp
Ordered via Uber Eats and I was pleased with the speed of the product.. however this place totally missed the mark of flavor and presentation. I ordered Scezuan Beef and it was FAR from spicy or flavorful.. the sweet & Sour chicken was more than breading vs actual meat. Like a total disappointment, Panda Express is better than this. Sorry but this is NOT authentic Chinese or even close to Chinese

Tresa T.

Yelp
Awful! Terrible food and the service was worse! Do not order here! The management is Terrible!

Shayne D.

Yelp
Lots of options and all taste great! The General Tsao's Chicken is great! The Crab Tangoon

Yan Z.

Yelp
After I moved to Milwaukee from California, this has been my go-to restaurant for authentic homestyle Chinese cooking! We usually order a feast and enjoy it for several days (see photo!) If you're adventurous, ask for the Chinese menu -- the beef brisket with potato, salt and pepper shrimp, and potato strips with fresh chili are my personal faves. The hot pot is also amazing with really yummy broths -- both spicy and non-spicy and they even include unlimited crabs which I've never seen offered at any other hot pot place. It's family-owned and the owners are incredibly kind and accommodating. I went around the holidays and chatted with the wife who said that they haven't gone on a family vacation in over 4 years in order to keep the restaurant open for patrons. Please support this amazing, hard-working family and their delicious cooking!

Yelp
This is a great spot for a casual, no-rush dinner with friends or a significant other. The staff were very friendly and attentive; they didn't seem to care about which server took which table...they were all willing to help and check-in. We did the Hot Pot buffet (recommend) and got a split bowl of the spicy broth and pork broth (also recommend). This way we could both use each broth and I could tone down some of the heat from the spicy by mixing pork broth into my bowl. We got really excited about trying a whole bunch of things, and after the experience, my recommendation is for 2 people to order a quantity of 1 for each item you're interested in. You can always get more, and since we ordered 2 of each, I felt a bit overwhelmed by the amount of beef and pork in front of us. I also recommend being a bit adventurous...we decided to try the fish balls with roe and it ended up being my favorite thing! We also did udon noodles, which was a nice compliment to all the meats and veggies. We passed on the side of rice because...noodles. The variety of mushrooms was fun, and we enjoyed trying wood ear. I realized we'd missed the Dumplings section of the ordering sheet and was far too full to try them in the end, so we will definitely attempt these in the future. Also? Beers are $3.75. The selection isn't huge or hyper-local, but I'll take a $3.75 Tsing Tao with my hot pot any day. One small suggestion? I'd love some music in the background. There was a TV playing CNN (no sound) but without any background music, it felt like we could overhear other tables' conversations and orders, as well as staff preparing drinks at the bar.
google avatar

Diaz M.

Yelp
They have some good things and some OK things. The Salt & Pepper Wings are very good, the sauteed Baby Broccoli is awesome, and Pork in Brown Sauce is a good meal to start. I've had other things here that were....ehh...edible. I think over the years they have changed some cooks or put more food quality stock in their "HOT POT" restaurant they've opened up on the other side of the plaza. It's hit or miss, but better than Lucky Lu's and Great Wall.
google avatar

Alien T.

Yelp
They renovated their place. Very new and clean. Nice service too. Alien had orange chicken a while ago, which was good but not so special. Alien recommend asking Chinese menu, if you want to have real Chinese foods! Alien's favorite is Pan fried egg with tomatoes, $8.95. Sweet and sour. Yum yum!

Yelp
I have been coming to huan xi since before I moved to milwauke!! They've always been the go-to for my girlfriends and I, as a student it's pretty cost-effective, and leftovers are always bomb. so so thankful for y'all's buisness in the community.

Yelp
My husband and I came here because someone at his work suggested it. Usually I am kind of picky when it comes to Chinese food since I grew up with homemade Chinese food & been to China several times. The space is small - they had about 7 to 10 tables. We were told by one of the employees that they are expanding the restaurant so they will have more tables. I was pleasantly surprised with the food. We got the sautéed green beans, shrimp scallop & tofu casserole and the beef noodle soup. The food was fantastic - the seasonings were perfect and right on point. I could have eaten it all in one sitting if my stomach was an bottomless pit. I will definitely be back - a bonus is its close to where I live!

Yelp
Huan Xi is now in a new place, in the same building as prior. It is now more upscale setting. Quite nice. Very open and modern setting and quite unlike typical Chinese restaurants. This is now one of my favorite Asian restaurants in town. The other three being Kawa, Dan Dan and Kyoto. The hot pot is excellent. I enjoyed shrimp, quail eggs, spinach. I tried seafood soup base and szechwan spicy soup base. Both were very good but I would order seafood next time. You can always add the spices. The seafood base was more "earthy delightful" and the spicy base had oil floating on it and had some sediment that I did not care for. I would suggest ordering any of the plain bases for soup.. seafood, chicken, beef.. etc.. I tried shrimp also.. Be warned. the shrimp would be brought with head and shell.. very messy to eat.. tasty but messy I would recommend this highly. Ps. The waitress Winter is very fluent and helpful.
