"Finding a Tuesday night spot that’s basically an extension of your apartment is a legal requirement of living and eating in the East Village. So if you haven’t done that yet or you’re feeling a little bit “it’s not you, it’s me” with your current choice, try Lui’s. This is a small Thai spot on East 4th Street with solid vegetarian options and plenty of curries and noodle dishes. It’s easy to get an appetizer and an entree here for under $30 to go with your BYOB selection from the deli next door." - hannah albertine, matt tervooren

Google
I’ve been a Hub Thai customer since 2019, and their quality of food and service has definitely improved! I adore their interior decor and seating which give a relaxing vibe whenever I dine in at Hub Thai. Their Pad Thai is always delicious with just the right amount of sauce, and noodles are prepared very well. Amazing lunch overall!

Google
Good food and good service. Our go-to Thai place. Price is competitive and music isn’t loud, so you can have a nice talk. Give this place a try.

We've eaten at Hub Thai ~6 times over the last 2 years. A pleasant staff with great, reasonably priced and tasty dishes. It is always a pleasure to return and enjoy their nicely balanced atmosphere that allows for a warm and relaxing dining experience.

Google
Absolutely the best Thai food hands down. An absolute favorite of ours. The Thai donut is to die for. The food has been flawless and I'm really surprised the ratings are not a solid 5 stars.

Google
Thai place in alphabet city! The staff was very friendly and attentive. They do take out or dine in. Cute place. I like the floral decor. Food was ok for me. It’s not bad at all so if you are in the area you should check them out anyways.

Google
Best service! Awesome Thai food! Update! After a year, and the new Location ,, still.. best Thai restaurant I have been to.. excellent food, fresh and also huge portions.. Here I had the Shrimp Pad Thai, Curry Puffs and Refreshing Large sized Thai Iced tea .. The restaurant is elegant and the waitresses are so well mannered and hesitate to bother you while you're eating but walk by with the intent for you to ask them what you need..I love coming here to get in my Good Zen, Peace and recoup from a hard day in this crazy city..also, there is an option to eat out on the open door Terrace..impeccable ..fresh flowers adorn the table for that breathe of fresh air feeling..keep up the great work! Delivery service has always been amazing as well.. Thanks for staying alive during the Pandemic! You want Good Thai food..this is most definitely your place to go On the Lower Eastside of Manhattan FIVE ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐'s Thank You!

Google
One of the few places we get an authentic welcome from the staff. Nice ladies. And the food. Amazing. And those flavored ice tea was the best. Everything we ate was awesome. And the decor of the place is beautifully eclectic. We go again when in NY. Few places we would repeat.

Google
The lunch special was such a good deal, an entree with a FREE appetizer for $11 so I got Tom yum soup and basil fried rice. And Thai iced tea. The atmosphere was attractive with pretty flowers and lights, and the music was good vibes. 5/5 recommend

Doug S.

Yelp
I love this little spot! amazing food and great service. the drunken noodles are very recommended!

Tara M.

Yelp
No frills classic Thai restaurant. Has all the items you know and love. The food was yummy and comforting. Smaller spot so good for up to 4 people. Reminds you of your favorite Thai place at home in the suburbs.

Yelp
I went with a pretty large party for a late Sunday dinner and we were immediately seated. The majority of us were from out of town but our friends who live in East Village recommended Hub Thai as their go to spot. The prices were reasonable even for non- NYC standards and their portion sizes were very large, definitely enough for two meals.

Lucy K.

Yelp
Went around 6pm on a Wednesday for the first time with some friends. There was 1 other seated table, and 1-2 people came in to take to-go orders while we dined. There's a bar area on one side and tables on another. The restaurant features lovely decor with a neon sign and flowers hanging from the ceiling around the bar area. The service was quick. We waited around 10 minutes for the Curry Puffs, another 5-10 for the Shrimp Salad, and another 10 minutes for the Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles. The curry puffs were delicious! The shrimp salad was marked as spicy but not spicy, so it would be good for those who do not prefer spice. The main dishes were each around $10-15.

Rick M.

Yelp
The food was truly bad. The salad was watery and small. The dumplings were over cooked and the rice was inedible. Go to Corn's other restaurant One More Thai on Clinton. Much better. Do not eat here.

Sujan P.

Yelp
I give this five stars for New York but if we were on the West Coast, I would give it 4. Great prices, great quality, loved they separated the duck from veggies and sauce for duck salad (which allowed me to re-request the duck at home, and then construct the salad, I found that extraordinary thoughtful of them.) They did skimp a bit on the cilantro for the khao soi and the red curry paste I'm not sure, but I think it's a base of Mae ploy that is slightly tweaked. I love that they have curry sauce, side options. Sticky rice prep was decent

Emma K.

Yelp
Super cute, affordable and yummy Thai spot in the LES! If I lived in this neighborhood, this would be my go to takeout spot. Would definitely come back. The curry comes with a TON of curry and it is so yummy, I defs recommend.

Arlene A.

Yelp
Great service and good food. We were group of three who came in without reservation. We were seated right away. Clean space and clean restrooms as well.

Kimberly W.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place walking around and vaguely looking for somewhere to eat. Great lunch deal. I got drunken noodles and two spring rolls which came to just over $14 with tax and tip. Can't beat that price. The workers were pleasant enough, but it seemed that they were mostly fulfilling take out and delivery orders. Eventually, one other table filled up while I was there. Fairly low key place, at least at lunch time. Great food for the price. If you happen to be in the area, well worth a stop.

Renata G.

Yelp
It's okay! Not the best Thai food but not bad. It's a place you'd imagine stopping by when you're road-tripping and there's not much Asian food around so you'd settle for this. Definitely not NYC level dining. I've tried twice already and I felt the same both times. The service was good but it was also empty in there so it wasn't hard to get server's attention.

A M.

Yelp
Restaurant was really cute but a bit too heated. Food was ok. Too many bell peppers and not enough basil in the "Ground Pork Basil with Fried Egg." And the small amount of rice was sloppily packed. I specified in the pickup instructions that I wanted napkins and utensils. At pickup I saw the employee hesitate to put chopsticks in my takeout bag and then decide not to. Figured they were already in the bag, which after getting home I realized was not the case and the napkins weren't in there either. Gave this place another chance and they messed up my order again. Arrived and they gave me regular jasmine rice instead of sticky rice, which I wrote in the special requests. Also I wrote no bell peppers and they gave me an entree full of bell peppers... And the employees aren't even charismatic/friendly. They seem so miserable and like they are dying to get out of there. Sigh.

Yelp
I ordered the Roasted Duck Drunken Noodle The noodles were nice and spicy But the duck was burnt, flavorless, dry and way over cooked No way I'd order this again

Getting Lumped Up W.

Yelp
The food was tasty and very healthy. The pineapple rice was amazing and delicious. The service was on point. The ambiance was great and peaceful.

TJ W.

Yelp
This place is amazing! Best Thai food I've had in a very long time, super reasonable prices, large portions and friendly efficient staff. The $7 large Sapporo draft beers alone are worth a visit here. The beer was bubbling the way a fresh keg does.

Sarah P.

Yelp
*Delivery review* It's probably embarrassing how much I have ordered from here. No kidding, if you scrolled through my order history on Seamless, 8/10 orders are from Hub Thai. They have me hooked! I always get the drunken noodles. I mean, it's a staple, come on. Though I switch between veggie/chicken/tofu depending on my mood. I also enjoy adding either pineapple or cashews to switch it up sometimes. Highly recommend. I do typically add a note to make sure that the noodles are prepared spicy. I've had a few instances where the noodles weren't their normal level. The noodle price point is great for the portion size ($13-14!) I typically also end up ordering the crab rangoon ($7.50). These little guys are super filling but delicious! Note these are mostly cream cheese with some sprinkles of crab. They're very good that way IMO. Occasionally I'll tack on a Thai iced tea. Now, I know what you're thinking. Sarah! The Thai Iced tea is $7! Yes, and it is absolutely worth it. I've ordered Thai Iced Tea at so many places for $5 and end up with a tiny drink. Not here, the drink they give you is MASSIVE and worth the spend. I normally drink half and save the rest for later! They are very fast and have everything packaged very well. It's my go-to delivery and if I end up moving from this neighborhood I will miss them so incredibly much. (So much so I'd probably come and dine-in.) 4.8/5

Cereese B.

Yelp
Maybe the prettiest restaurant ever Amazing menu & prices The Thai iced tea is awesome So is the tofu red curry

Gwendolyn C.

Yelp
[Takeout Review] Food: 3.5/5 | Service: N/A | Experience: N/A First time ordering from Hub Thai for delivery. They have a good selection of options, with some options not normally offered at other Thai places. The pad thai was not super flavorful and the spiciness was quite overpowering, but it came with a good amount of chicken. The duck noodle soup came in 2 separate containers so you'll need a larger bowl to combine them. It also didn't have a ton of flavor, but it did come with a lot of duck, which was very tender. What we ordered: * drunken noodle with chicken, medium spicy * duck noodle soup - plain noodles, broth, duck Things to know: * delivery was relatively quick

Amanpreet K.

Yelp
Some of the best Thai take out in the city! We always get the chicken red curry and basil chicken dinner - spicy, flavorful and consistently delicious every time. Don't ask for added spice unless you can REALLY handle your spicy or you'll be sweating through the entire meal. Appreciate their great customer service as well - we'll never get Thai take out from anywhere else!

Diana B.

Yelp
Best food and drinks. Most try the lychee martini... #hubthai #lychee martini #thaifood

Yelp
My friend and I were looking for a casual place to get something to eat. We saw the cute decorations and the restaurant was empty so we ordered calamari, shrimp rolls, and pineapple fried rice. The shrimp rolls were great, but the calamari was unseasoned and soggy. The waitress admitted she messed up my order. She never brought out the pineapple fried rice and still had me keep it. She brought out a noodle dish . The other platter had nuts in it and I wasn't informed I didn't want it. After the whole thing went down she offered to have the dish taken off the bill but rolled her eyes when we said yes.

Yelp
Perfect location, incredible dining area, delicious cuisine, impeccable serving staff A perfect location right next to Keyfood to go where you can unwind after supermarket shopping, the dining area is blissful made of natural wood with the wall of a wedding display full of flowers and ceilings to complete. My absolute favorite dish is the Masaamam Chicken Curry with Rotini Bread. Simmered and made to perfection, the sauce is cooked to your preference of mild, medium, spicy. The staff here go above the means in serving. They treat everyone with respect, non-judgmental attitude, confident and goes way above and beyond to serve the customer. Relaxed, casual atmosphere, where intellectuals are. Layed back. Full menu with cocktails Thank you Hub Thai. I give you 5 Stars !

Sitara S.

Yelp
I absolutely love that I randomly walked into this Thai restaurant. The aesthetic and atmosphere is super cozy and the staff are very friendly. My friend and I ordered 3 entrees and shared family style. We had the Thai Fried Rice with roast duck, chicken pad kee mao and green curry with chicken. Every meal was delicious! The spice level was on point. My favorite dish was definitely the fried rice as it tasted so light and fresh but so flavorful. My friends had the lychee martinis and they seemed like a hit. I highly recommend!!

Leung T.

Yelp
You wouldn't think such a nice place would be in Alphabet city. But this place is on Ave A south of Tompson Sq Park. number 50 Ave A btw. I only had the pad Thai lunch special which includes a side order. Quite nice.

Dany S.

Yelp
The service was great. The food was okay but I only ordered appetizers here. Don't get me wrong I would come here again and try the more things.

Ami P.

Yelp
Very cute and very delicious. It's hard not to get Thai food when we are in the city because for some reason Hoboken/JC area has no decent Thai places. This is a solid NYC quality Thai take out place. Lots of people coming in for pick up and lots of delivery people. We are there and you can be pretty sure there will be a table available (even tho there were a few people eating there). It's in a really good location too with lots of good restaurants and bars nearby. The place is decorated really nicely and they do have a full bar (tho I have to say the drinks were not great very strong... they don't really have a bartender but they try haha). We got the crab Rangoon to start, eggplant chili stir fry with chicken, shrimp green curry, and duck pad Thai. Overall the food was very good. The stir fry was so flavorful and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The green curry was also very flavorful. The stick pad thai is probably why I took a star off. The pad thai itself was fine. A solid pad thai. The duck was over cooked and dry and it was not mixed it but big pieces on top. Idk it could have been so much better but either way we really enjoyed the meal. So much so that I forgot to take pictures haha. If you're in the area and looking for a place to eat give it a try!

Wole T.

Yelp
Poor customer service. Hung up when I called about food quality issues. They do not follow order requests and the person that attempted to address the issue was lacking basic social skills and professionalism.

Angel R.

Yelp
It's an okay spot came here once I did love the presentation of the food the crab ragoon was amazing the portion of rice tho wasn't really good in my opinion but rice tasted really good just portion I didn't like, great customer service overall 4/5 stars! :)

Malina S.

Yelp
Went here for my birthday, the food and drinks were great and the staff was nice and accommodating.

Phylis S.

Yelp
Beef was inedible! Pad thai was tasty- okay. Had lunch special......Next time will try vegetarian pad thai or another type of dish.. Ted said chicken pad thai good

Annonymous G.

Yelp
This place is mid. I like it some days but always try to eat in house because taking anything out, is gonna be unfortunate . They give you little portions. They don't give as much rice which sucks cause when you go in house they give you a decent portion. I ordered out and was upset at how tiny the box of rice was. Overall though I just advise to eat inside rather than order out.

Hannah M.

Yelp
Good delivery that came quickly and was piping hot upon arrival. Also super inexpensive - I think it was like $9 for a lunch special that came with pad Thai and an appetizer, for which I chose Tom yum soup with shrimp. Portion size was good - filling but nothing crazy. The Tom yum soup was really, really tasty and had two decent sized shrimp in it along with mushrooms. It was the perfect appetizer and totally helped with my pounding hangover. The pad Thai was just okay - chicken was incredibly well cooked, tender, and juicy, but the noodles were lackluster. It also came with a lemon instead of a lime, which was odd but I suppose the same sentiment? All in all, would for sure order again and probably try a different noodle dish.

Mikaela L.

Yelp
Ordered pad Thai to go and it was a bit dry. I would be curious to eat at the restaurant - perhaps the dish dried out on my Journey home

Miranda S.

Yelp
AMAZING! Ordered for delivery via an app and there was a mistake. One of the employees called me personally to apologize and let me know that next time I ordered there would be a free replacement item in my order in addition to the Grub Hub refund. Truly 10/10 service and FANTASTIC food! We had the Green Curry with Shrimp which was delicious (ordered it again tonight). Love this place and will be back :)

Noe S.

Yelp
Everything was very good the fried calamari was just a bit chewy. But the fried rice was delicious and they have a really great chili sauce. The Thai iced tea and coffee are also delicious.

Jennifer W.

Yelp
I was so in the mood for a warming broth - I enjoy Thai food, and when I'm in the East Bay I go to as many different places as possible. The green curry I got here tonight was a Dare Eating level of hardcore hot pepper. Let's face facts, Avenue A in Manhattan is part of the Western World. I regard Authentic and Street Food tags as a warning of possible Fire, but this is just a place around the corner, and it's ridiculous. Mamma tried.

Veronica V.

Yelp
I went here this afternoon for lunch with my teenage daughter.. it was a fantastic lunch date! The ambiance and decor is beautiful.. so bright, good music and friendly service. Most importantly the food was delicious! Chicken gyoza, Thai fried rice, and pad see ew were all super yummy! Thank you; we will be back for sure.

Andrew H.

Yelp
I ordered the pineapple fried rice for takeout. The price was decent and decided to check it out. The fried rice is flavored with a good amount of thai spices, which gives it a nice taste. Personally, it was exactly what I expected; the rice won't wow you, but it won't disappoint either. I used Grubhub to order and it was perfect for a fast takeout - the food was ready right on time.

Valerie N.

Yelp
This is a solid 4.5 for take out! I ordered the pad see ew with chicken and it was a great portion size and delicious!! I also got the mango sticky rice for dessert and boy did it make me happy! It's been so long since I've had a good one and it delivered in every way. The mango was fresh and ripe, the sticky rice was perfectly sweet and sticky, and the sauce was a great addition. I had enough leftovers to eat another 2 times! I will definitely be a returning customer!

Tiffany T.

Yelp
Huge portions, great prices in the heart of East Village. A $12 pad see sew was enough for both my boyfriend and I to enjoy a light lunch as we were having a minifood tour around the city today. Don't expect it to make you 100% full, but I am having trouble moving around after. They were very fast (~10 minutes) in making my order.

Ada R.

Yelp
Waited 20 min for our food. Checked with waitress and said it'll come right away. So we waited. Waited another 10 min. Then I checked with her to give me an exact ETA. she told me I had to wait 10 MORE MIN FOR CHICKEN SATAY!!! There must be something wrong with the kitchen. I saw ppl kept pouring in for their takeout order but nothing came out from the kitchen. If there's something wrong with the kitchen that night, I would appreciate someone update us. Not waste more than half an hour of my life. Thanks for nothing!!!

Alice X.

Yelp
Can't ever go wrong with Pad See Ew here and their delicious fried chicken wings. The pad see ew is sweet, yet savory, and extremely filling. I split it into two meals usually. Ordering and delivery was easy, especially awesome considering these quarantine times. I love their calamari but this time I got chicken wings. They were great! The white pepper really shows through and compliments the chili. Would order again! I also recommend dining in after quarantine and lockdown ends, the waitress was very nice the last time I went there!

Gabriel F.

Yelp
Everything here had so much flavor. We stumbled upon this place honestly it's the best Thai food I've ever had and I've had it all over the globe. Lol. So good!

Matthew D.

Yelp
Came here at 1pm on Saturday and there was no one here. Don't let that put you off. The food here is excellent. The lunch special is $8 (starter and main) plus I ordered a few extra appetisers. The Thai lychee Tea is pretty sweet but super tasty. All in for $30 (three starters, pad Thai, a drink and tip). Service was fine, though my main came out before I had finished the appetisers, they could do better to not do that!)

Jayden M.

Yelp
One of the few places we get an authentic welcome from the staff. Nice ladies. And the food. Amazing. And those flavored ice tea was the best. Everything we ate was awesome. And the decor of the place is beautifully eclectic. Amazing !! Extremely amazing service, and the food is so delicious, highly recommend. I love this place so much!! We go again.

Katrina F.

Yelp
Hub Thai was a nice little stop off in east village for a quick bite before the rest of the night. I wouldn't say it's typical of most trendy Thai restaurants in NYC, but it was quick and convenient and had great service at a very affordable price. The restaurant although very tiny, was able to easily accommodate our large party as a walk-in group. Unfortunately it was a bit drafty inside because the door kept flying open and there was no one really working in the front of the restaurant to keep it closed, so we all ate dinner with our parkas on the whole meal. The menu options are a bit limited, especially for alcohol, but there's enough on there to have a decent selection of apps and noodle dishes. The food was tasty and the portions are appropriately sized for the price. For locals, it's not a bad option to pop in and avoid some of the more crowded, touristy destinations in the area. But for those visiting the city, I would not recommend if you were looking for somewhere upscale, trendy or fancy for an exciting night out.

Steven S.

Yelp
If you're looking for Thai food in this neighborhood then you can stop looking because this place was great! Not too pricey for what they give you. Let's dive in. Pad See Ew (4/5): Perfectly cooked noodles, good flavor - could be even more garlicky but that's just because I love that flavor. Not too oily and good sauce-to-dish ratio. The beef was tough so -1. Otherwise this is fantastic! Tom Ka Soup (5/5): Soooo creamy and delish! Mushroom was great, and added chicken was fairly tender for white meat. Definitely recommend. House Soup (4/5): Very good for a basic clear soup. Could have some more flavor but good if you need a light clear brothy soup that's light on your stomach. TL;DR: A good local Thai place. Looking forward to exploring more of this menu!

Alex I.

Yelp
Their new location is great!! Very clean and great staff. Still the best Thai spot in the neighborhood

Moogi Z.

Yelp
Good taste. Friendly waitress! I do recommend this business if you are interested to have a that dinner.

Maria C.

Yelp
Massaman curry was extremely watery, seemed to have no coconut milk in it. Felt very cheap / careless.
