"Hubbard and Bell is a restaurant inside the trendy Hoxton hotel in Holborn which, owing to the dearth of options in the immediate area around Holborn station, immediately has become one of the most reliably good restaurants in the area. Make no mistake, the food veers from tasty to mediocre, and much of it is amusingly overpriced. But its greater function is as a convenient place to hang out with friends in the area, and to people watch, as it’s adjacent to the lobby bar which always attracts a lively crowd. Get the deep-fried kale." - David Paw

Modern interior, friendly staff, variety of seating. Loved their IPA, wasn't keen on their experimental lunch special but the food on the menu was very tasty. Can be crowded over lunch but wr didn't wait long before the food arrived. Larger tables make it trendy for people with laptops.

I found a hidden gem for working remotely. It is not an entirely coffee shop, but a lobby in a hotel near Holborn underground station. I think this place has a feel of New York like Brooklyn warehouse. Quite a cool meeting point with your client actually. You could find my review here. London Coffee Shop for Digital Nomads-7 Hubbard & Bell Category: Coffee shop in the hotel WIFI: Reliable, free to use I tried to test the speed but it turns out Download: 9.65 Mbps Upload: 9.34Mbps PING: 8ms JITTER: 5ms Not fast but still could work. Seating: There are lots of desks, proper tables and sofas, and there is a full restaurant and bar adjacent if you would like to have a drink or working lunch, it could meet all your demands. But it is busy and the seats are quite handy and it is not easy to find many plug sockets near those tables or desks. Toilet: The bathroom in the lobby of hotel definitely is better than that in a coffee shop. No need to have a long queue. Ambience: Comfy armchairs and sofas, plenty of larger tables, coffee service at your seats, and you’ll always see interesting people passing through during the day. Yes, it’s busy but civilised, sometimes you may be distracted by the busy surroundings. Cost: Coffee £2.5-£4.5 Breakfast £5-£14 (most are British dish) Dishes on the all-day menu are a wide range of selections as what you could think in a restaurant. Something Special about the cafe: (1) You could bring your own snacks or food; (2) It is open much later that anywhere else around so if you would like to work well into the evenings, it is a good place to stay!

Google
Really enjoyed thier Christmas lunch. Spacious but managed to maintain a cosy environment. Food was great, especially the scallops. Very generous servings. Staff are very friendly and accomadating (4 adults, 4 year old and baby with stroller). Overall, a lovely experience. Just what we we're looking for.

Google
Went for the Sunday Feast which is priced well for the amount of food on offer. The staff are polite and on our visit we saw someone from a Made in Chelsea. The meat section was the highlight for me, they cut and cook if for you and it's a feast so you can go there as often as you like. Would definitely go here again but only once in a while.

We absolutely love having breakfast at Hubbard & Bell at the Hoxton hotel in Holborn. Their egg dishes are simple yet perfectly made. You must try their fried eggs with toast, scrambled eggs, and avocado, sourdough and poached eggs.

Google
This place is really trendy and nicely decorated, good vibe. Staff were friendly. I ordered the triple cooked chips. Sorry to say- These are not triple cooked! Lightly cooked more likely. Nothing special about them. I also ordered the broccoli and it arrived warmish but mostly cold. The taste was nice enough but found it odd they sprinkled cold chili on at the last step. I would’ve cooked the chili with the broccoli, as it made the broccoli taste dry. I love chili but this was odd. I usually like to order a small app before I order a main at a restaurant, to see if the restaurant is any good, so given this experience I was over ordering a main. I may give this place another chance. Every table was full and it was a lunch time on a Friday 13/12/19, so perhaps just a bad experience on a busy day. My colleague has a steak and she said it was really good! So perhaps I just had bad luck!

Everything here was fantastic, the service, the food and the drinks. This place has fantastic vibes and friendly service. The food is amazing and looks like art work.

Google
I was a bit worried after seeing some negative reviews. However, my experience was actually okay. I found place to sit down with no issues although I did not see any places to charge laptop. The food and service was fine too. The only issue was that they burnt my steak a bit. There was music but you can still have a conversation or talk on the phone.

Yelp
Closed! Permanently! Forever! Why? No one knows! Mystery! Too bad! Unfortunate! Update listing!

Yelp
Service was really nice. I came for a late night meal sonic dosnt really get to experience the whole menu but from what I did have, the food was great! The chef even got us something from the menu that wasnt even available during the hours. They made sure we were pleased. I would like to come again in the evening so I can try more things from the menu.

Yelp
I came here for dinner with some colleagues. I had been craving a salad and some veggies. I have never tasted a gooseberry so I decided to go with that one. If you've never had that before, I would describe it as a marriage between a blueberry and pickled olive. It's more tart and sour. It's not what I expected and I am not a fan of the gooseberry. Though, luckily, I do like beets! I love that beets are popular here in London. Of course, for balance, I ordered a small portion of the Mac and cheese with truffle (add 2 pounds more). It was pretty good! I cleaned the entire bowl. The service at this place is really good. We were seated right away (perhaps because my colleague made a reservation). Their menu has a wide variety for everyone.

Yelp
It's my 3rd time here do I guess it's about time I write it up. I love Hubbard and Bell, it's a very welcoming spot and Holborn doesn't have too many of those. The place is absolutely lovely and fun to spend time in, service is very courteous and kind and team is pro across the board. The menu isn't drowning in options but whatever it has is always top notch and made with an eye for detail. Vegan and vegetarian options limited but always availble. Good spot for lunch as you're racing through London.

Yelp
Came in for a group dinner, very good! Loved the fresh takes on British fare. The goat tartare was a great started. The British cheese plate had so many buttery and creamy varieties. I loved my chicken and corn dish. The corn was sooooooo good. Sweet yet still had a pop of crunch. Loved it! I would definitely come back. We had a group of 8 of us and we got to sit fairly quickly without a reservation, but I would definitely recommend one since the place is quite bustling!

Yelp
Nice place to relaxing has lots of seats and really do has amazing breakfast The omelette is the best with the smoked salmon sides

Hayley S.

Yelp
Very cool vibe and great food, hoping to stay at the Hoxton on my next trip to London. A great place to grab a bite or a drink!

Tiffany B.

Yelp
Sweet little spot to duck in for a snack, lunch or tea. You can see the sweets of the day on display at the tea/coffee/juice counter. We tried the beer and avocado salad- no lettuce included, and sprinkled with seeds - it was really yummy. The truffle Parmesan fries were also flavorful, a little on the greasy side and smaller fractured pieces. They were willing to put the Parmesan on the side for us (thanks). With the aromatic English Breakfast tea, we tried the Christmas cookies (filled w/ seeds and grapes) and mini-mince pies- also nice. Servive was good- they were right on top of cleaning plates when we finished something. Comfortable, airy space.

Yelp
This place was all I wanted it to be, and more! Real fresh food, great Coffee, awesome service & lovely surroundings. When I'll go back to LDN I'll definitly be returbiljett to this place!

Yelp
My first several experiences were decent. The food is pretty average by the atmosphere is nice. Tonight though, I had a terrible experience with the manager. H&B has a wonderful program where you can register for a token that gives you half off a drink & entree for you & (one person said 9 other, one said 7) other people. I've used it several times & it takes their overpriced food down to a regular price (so is it really a discount?). This time however, the manager accused us of cheating & trying to abuse the system & refused to grant us the discount. We had ordered assuming the bill would be half off, & we're stuck paying twice as much as we had intended. The waitress was apologetic about it, but there was nothing she could do. Not sure I'll be back.

Yelp
Came here late night for a bite to eat and a dessert. Spot on menu with a good drinks and dessert selection. Sat in the comfy booths in the dining area but you can also eat in the bar and lounge area with couches. Steven ordered a patty melt which is simple yet delicious and French fries. Becca had the ricotta toast with tomatoes and broccoli...so good! Dessert----key lime pie and a buttered pecan brownie...amazing! Really great vibe overall and many options including a coffee shop. Also recommend staying in the Hoxton Holborn hotel above. We loved having this restaurant on the ground level.

John B.

Yelp
It's okay for something to eat late at night. Not a venue you would go out of your way to visit to dine.

Gopal R.

Yelp
Excellent place to get breakfast, lunch or just drinks. Their coffees - the flat whites, lattes or expressos are probably among the best I've had so far. They really take their coffee seriously. Their sourdough pancakes and quinoa porridge are very awesome breakfast items -filling and just right to start your day off. I had a falafel burger for lunch - this was fantastic! Highly recommended to order with French fries and aoli. Their drinks are pretty good as well. Their Picante De La Casa is really good and highly recommended. They also have a good selection of single malts as well. I will be back when I come to London next time.

Yelp
Great brunch place ! The Sunday Feast is amazing : For 25£ you get access to a great range of food from cheese, charcuterie, salads, fish preparation (crab, salmon and more...), sausage and meat... To great deserts, fruits salads and yoghurt! Great for the feasters! The menu is also nice the avocado and pistachios toast showed in the picture is very generous and tasty. Cocktails and smoothies are also good... Definitely a place to discover

Yelp
Considering how highly I regard this hotel's bar, I was so so surprised how awful the experience of eating in their restauarant was. Super overpriced, terrible service and surreptitiously given and charged for bottled water (my absolute pet peeve). I found the burger to be outrageously priced, so opted for two side dishes instead, and even then found the soup to be tasteless and too small for the cost. I had always thought the menu sounded pretty boring, but held faith as everything else about the Hoxton (where this restaurant resides) is so top notch I gave it chance. Turns out my initial gut feeling was correct. Skip it.

Yelp
A delightful place to enjoy breakfast. I loved them so much that I should have made another visit. Oh well my lost, I guess that I will have to make sure I come back again! Thumbs up for their Gluten-free breakfast. I would encourage the cook to be light on toasting the bread, other then that I believe the service was good.

Inci T.

Yelp
Nice breakfast place with bad service. The menu is not bad but the staff is so distracted they bring the tea after you finish your omlette or they forget the maple syrup with pancakes! It is breakfast for god sakes! You bring the tea and you never forget maple syrup with pancakes. But prices are decent, it is comfortable so try is you dont like small places.

Yelp
A cool brunch place!! Been here twice now and on both occasions had good food. The first time we shared some eggs which were well prepared and satisfying and a really tasty ceased salad which looked amazing but left me a little hungry (I guess it was salad?!?!) one complaint would be on the occasion we went as a group of 6 we were only served 5 pieces of bread.... I also got beef ribs when I ordered pork, but it was actually really good. The venue is very open and has a separate bar area that I hear can get busy after work days, especially on Fridays. It has a feeling of a hotel about the place, and I think there are rooms available to stay in. There are loads of staff so getting served isnt a problem and they all seem knowledgable about the menu and friendly There is a good selection of coffees also. .

David G.

Yelp
Just the right about of busy on a Saturday night! Between Dinner and Friends I was looking for a quick cocktail in Holborn, and having had great experiences in the Hoxton in Shoreditch, it would have been rude not to check out the younger sibling while in the area, It was a Saturday night, nice level of activity around the bar, good tunes from the DJ and a nice relaxed easy going vide, we settled for a few seats at the bar, and despite it being busy, we where acknowledge straight off and given menus, it was great to see the bar staff actively serve customers in order, refreshing to see in a busy bar! We ordered a few cocktails from the list, and it watched as the bar tender set up constructing our order, drinks we got in the end where perfectly served, and so so good! But for the fact we where off to meet people elsewhere I could have quite happily propped the bar up here all night long! Will be back for sure next time I'm in London!

Yelp
Really like this place! Cutest little cafe in the new Hoxton Hotel in Holborn. Love taking clients here for a little brekkie. Lovely decor! Gorgeous toilets! And very friendly staff, always! Normal I always have the avocado on toast with poached egg - always lovely, much better offering than in most places because at least they give you lots of avocado! Crumbled pistachios is a nice touch too. This time though I wanted eggs florentine! The obssession has come back!! Its not on the menu, but as they seemed to have all the elements in different dishes I though id be cheeky and ask! No problem at all! Which is kind of predictable but still nice! They were lovely. One of the eggs wasnt runny though, which obviously is a little dissapointing but overall good dish. Highlight at Hubbard & Bell has to be the juices!!! Awesome offering of really flavoursome cold pressee juices! In a little bottle too, so you can always grab another bottle to go! Had a try at the Red one today which was great. Highly recommend Hard Green too! But i am adament they are all great!

Yelp
Dope spot to stay (Hoxton Hotel) and get your food on. The brunch (American ish) has caught on, over here, and this is a spot to get your steak n eggs or roll with what I got, avocado with poached egg on a piece of toast (deeelish). The fresh-squeezed juices and strong but tasty coffee are great day-starters. As for the decor, obv, it was redic awesome. Who doesn't love cozy settings with sofas and the traditional London vibe? Not so much Victorian as urban-rustic. Dope. Ask for the Bloody Mary. Its bloody cheeky, mate. Gospel of Paul.

Yelp
Came to Hubbard & Bell on a Saturday night around 8pm and (to my surprise) the place was emptier than I thought it'd be... Though the Hoxton itself was packed. Since I had done my Yelp research prior to visiting, I noticed that there weren't many mentions about dinner here... So maybe their strength is brunch and people just go for cocktails at night? Idk. My group had made a reservation anyways and were seated immediately. Anyways, I ordered the following things: - Kale Caesar: I'd kale for this Caesar ;) I was in the mood for something a bit lighter but couldn't decide between this and the linguine, so I ordered a small portion of both. Why not have the best of both worlds, right? The Caesar was probably my favorite dish of the night. Not too overdressed but not underdressed and bland, the kale was prepared properly and wasn't bitter (I'm assuming they massaged it prior to serving too because it wasn't harsh and tough), and the egg on top was cooked a perfect medium rare haha. They also give you a hefty amount of chicken, so you can definitely order a regular sized portion and get full off of it - Linguine: their linguine was fairly unique in my opinion. For starters, it's pretttttty spicy so beware if you've got a low spice tolerance!! The dish had a squid ink linguine base, and was tossed with a decent amount of crab, seaweed, and nduja. There was a decent amount of crab, which made the dish fairly fishy. I personally liked it since it tasted like the sea, but my friend was super turned off by it and didnt finish hers. The seaweed was a creative inclusion as I'd never had a combination like that before, but it added to the "taste of the sea" theme the dish had going on, and it made the dish more refreshing (since pasta can get a bit heavy sometimes imo). As for the nduja, I didn't really taste it. It might have been why the dish was so spicy, but I almost forgot it was there until I had reread the menu. My friends also ordered the Pork Belly and Gnudi. I unfortunately can't comment on the taste of either since I didn't try them myself, but based off appearances... The Gnudi seemed to be a fairly small portion, but it looked good! The sauce seemed rich and creamy, and the pasta looked fresh. The pork belly on the other hand is something I'd go back just to try. The skin looked oh so crispy (pork crackling is one of my weaknesses in life) and they give you two sizable pieces! Overall, dinner at H&B was better than I expected, and I'll definitely be back to try their brunch.

Esther C.

Yelp
I'm really surprised I haven't heard more about Hubbard and Bell, came here on my last day wandering around London on recommendation from a friend. This cafe is so cozy and warming. I love the atmosphere and the service.

E J.

Yelp
One of my favorite hang out spots in the city. I've yet to stay in one of their - no doubt - gorgeous, cosy rooms, but I can't get enough of the bar/cafe area here. With large windows, numerous comfy sofas and arm chairs to relax in and a well stocked bar it's a real surprise how I ever manage to leave this place. For those with a sweet tooth, the cakes (try the Apple Strudle Cheescake) from Hubbard & Bell are to die for - so delicious, you'll want to put yourself into a sugar coma trying every single one. The coffee is well served too - being such a coffee snob, this is a real big sell for me.

Jake S.

Yelp
Walked in as the hostess was busy on a phone call so I stood and waited. A server then approached and sat me at a table with a menu to look over. I sat with the menu for over 20 minutes after seeing tables continue to be sat and served before me. Wish I could've tried the food, it looked great being served to everyone else except me.

Dustin M.

Yelp
Not only is everyone here friendly, but the hanger steak is out of this world. Perfectly cooked! The salad is fresh. Eat here. You will not regret it.

Claire R.

Yelp
Popped in for a quick pre theatre meal on Saturday, lovely place for catching up over some food and wine. We were in the mood for burgers; my friend had the veggie version which was great, I had the patty melt, which was unusual in presentation but spot on in taste. Our sides were a mixed bag - the fries were good but the creamed spinach disappointed - soggy, cold in spots, and poor consistency. To accompany our meal we shared a bottle of the Grenache rosé - lovely wine, perfect for the sunny weather we are enjoying! For pudding I chose the s'mores sundae. It was fine, but a little dull if anything - it lacked the flair of a good sundae when it came to finish. It was ice cream and stuff in a sundae dish - tasty but not a show stopping sundae by any means! My companion had the cheese plate which was very good; generous wedges of cheese, pleasant accompaniments, and lots of different breads and crackers on the side. The service from our main waitress and the gentleman supervising the room was excellent - that perfect balance where you're attended to beautifully, but can also carry on conversations uninterrupted! Another waitress tried to clear our plates while we were still eating, which was a little odd, but you can't fault the enthusiasm. I enjoyed my meal at Hubbard and Bell - when looking at the menu several other items caught my eye, as did the £25 brunch deal on Sundays and several tempting looking cocktails. A good Holborn spot.

Yelp
We're here for Christmas Day dinner. We had a table for 18:00. We arrived early and was seated early. When we were seated we were told the kitchen wasn't taking orders until 18:00, which was fine with us. We ordered and dinner at 18:00 came out at 19:15. Of course we noticed that everyone who had ordered their dinner after us had already started eating. The manager came to our table to say he was sorry that our food was coming out soon. So he offered us another cocktail which was nice of him. But that took another 20 mins to come out. It just sat on the bar waiting for someone to bring it to us. Not sure this experience was worth the hassle and or the meal. The feeling of the place is like a Starbucks. You know the guy working on his computer in a chair next to you and people across from you sharing a cocktail table having dinner as they sit on sofa's.

Jinny N.

Yelp
We stayed at the Hoxton and although we had the complementary yoghurt and granola pot, banana and OJ, I wanted much more! As soon as I saw steak and eggs on the menu, I couldn't get downstairs fast enough. Being mid week and between Christmas and new year, the restaurant was quiet. Being around 11am I justified having the steak and eggs for brunch. I also ordered some hash browns but they already come with it YES! James ordered the avocado and eggs on toast with a side of bacon. The portions are great! The steak and eggs were not a disappointment. Nice hunk of fillet steak on 2 lovely hash browns topped with poached eggs, spinach and hollandaise YUM! If red meat wasn't so bad for you I would have this everyday for breakfast. I managed to nab a bit of James's breakfast too. The avocado and eggs on toast was delicious and the side of bacon was amazing, thick and perfectly cooked. If I was meeting friends in the area, I would definitely pop back here.

Alex S.

Yelp
I'd read some reviews of Hubbard & Bell (and the Hoxton more generally) before heading there for dinner. The general conclusion was: great attention to detail, great design...just ok food. I'm here just to serve as an additional voice in that chorus: yes to detail, unhunh to design, and yet - and yet! - disappointment regarding food. The good: the service was really prompt, the food came out quickly, and although some things felt overpriced (the shrimp burger - actually a mix of shrimp and crab on a bun that disintegrates as you eat it - is 10 pounds for just the burger), if you choose wisely I think you can get some good dishes. I was impressed by their take on the wedge salad, for instance: a crispy, refreshing chunk of iceberg lettuce topped with some chunky buttermilk dressing and paired with some sweetly cured bacon. Notable expert level: fat perfectly rendered. It was a thing of beauty. Atop the food, the design details are on point. Beautiful seating options and varying arrangements across the Hoxton. Food served on mismatched china plates that ooze charm. Plugs at every booth should you need to stay wired. No feelings of being rushed, despite visiting at a peak time. Yes yes nailed it, yes. The not-as-good: the food wasn't piping hot, and whereas some dishes provided ample to chow down on (see note on wedge salad, above), others were really sparse. Our table split the ricotta toast (with broad beans and chili) and it was extremely underwhelming; what read so well on the menu just tasted bland and dry on the plate. Maybe that's a good metaphor for my feelings on Hubbard & Bell generally. In conclusion: go, get the bacon, get all the bacon. I'd be willing to try it again because I adore the space, and the staff was great. But...in no rush. Hopefully by the next round at Hubbard & Bell they will have worked out some of their kinks with the food. Yelp note: just for drinks? Sure! Or pull up your newest Apple gear and sit down next to the table of Mac-heads pounding the keys at the communal tables.

Yelp
Awesome beet root salad!!! The (Bavette) hangar steak and sauce were exactly as I requested. Comfortable industrial design dining area with electrical outlets for phone charging for travelers. Staff is very happy.. But bring a small bit of patience, they are not in a hurry but neither was I.

Alyse W.

Yelp
I went to this place specifically while on vacation because it was on symmetry breakfast's Instagram. Super cute place, vintage and homey, rustic and amazing! We ordered the porridge, sticky pecan buns, croissants, and Benedict. The portions are pretty dainty, the Benedict probably should be ordered with potatoes instead of the English muffin on the bottom just to fill you up more, or get avocado on the side. The people are very friendly but we were not able to sit in the restaurant because we didn't have a reservation so we sat on the couches by the barista.

Morgan G.

Yelp
I came here for their advertised Thanksgiving menu. The atmosphere was lovely but quite loud for a Thursday evening. I started off with a DELICIOUS apple and ginger cocktail that was lovely--though the bartender forgot to make it when he was making drinks ordered by my group and had to be reminded twice before he got around to it. It was quite crowded so I couldn't really fault him but he was rather rude when I finally caught his attention to make the drink I had ordered. Once we sat down for dinner, the waiter was nice but not very attentive (I had to ask for a refill on water 3 times) and the Thanksgiving meal (turkey with cranberry and green beans) was overcooked, over salted and quite tough--in short, not worth the £19 I paid for it. That being said, all of the non-Thanksgiving food I saw at tables around me looked delicious so it could have just been the mistake of ordering off the holiday menu. Also, they were out of pumpkin pie at our 6:30 dinner seating--the main reason for our visit to the restaurant. :'( In the absence of pumpkin pie I had an amaaazing banana split that turned out to be the highlight of my meal. All in all, I'd head back for cocktails and dessert but mediocre service and my very salty and rathered shriveled main left a bad taste in my mouth.

Yelp
While we stayed at the Hoxton Hotel (the Holborn branch), we once had breakfast "downstairs" at the Hubbart & Bell which conforms quite nicely to the hotel's soho-house-like design concept. While this, strictly speaking, is not a hotel restaurant (which I usually try to avoid), it does serve as one of the Hoxton Hotel's local watering (and eating) holes. (There is also am underground chicken place and a coffee bar on the ground floor.) And it does share the tendency of hotel restaurants to ever so slightly overprice the goods on offer. Having said that, the quality of the food was excellent, the waiting staff was nice (although there English wasn't always as good as the food they served) and the overall decor was pleasing in a retro-meets-comfy kind of way. However, I would avoid sitting in the rather noisy and crowded back of the restaurant and instead opt for one of the lower tables near the front.

Malini U.

Yelp
AMAZING food! every time I visit from America I eat here breakfast, lunch, dinner, or coffee it's always top notch! I strongly advise this place!

Kyle C.

Yelp
Beautiful space inside the Hoxton, love the laid back vibe and decor. Stopped in for brunch one day, and thought the food was very nice. I went for the kale caesar salad, which was tasty, and some chia pudding, also very good. The rest of the menu looked very nice also, especially their breakfast. Unfortunately, the service was VERY slow (it was very busy), which put a damper on it. I was starving by the time the food came.

Greg R.

Yelp
Great restaurant in the vibrant Hoxton hotel. I had the veggie burger and a side of roasted pumpkin, both of which were great. Had a whiskey based cocktail which was well made and decently priced for the area (£9). Will be back to try brunch in the future.

Lilith B.

Yelp
I was extremely disappointed by this place. A bartender told me some guy had paid for my next drink. An hour later, a different bartender charged me for that second drink. I asked for an explanation, and I was reassured that two parties had not paid for the same drink. It's cool if that's true, but I am not at all convinced that it was. If one bartender asked me to order a drink because someone had already paid for it anyway, why would a different bartender ask me to pay for the exact same drink? If it's not an outright scam, their internal communication is abysmal. I will never return.

Christine B.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and the food is delicious. Such a relaxed vibe loved the avocado toast and the lattes are to die for!

Lee G.

Yelp
Came for lunch on a Saturday. Packed with tourists and twenty somethings. Nice atmosphere, relaxed but a little buzzy. Seemed to be sharing tables bit i was shown to a nice two seater table. No steaks. Healthy lunch. Had the blood orange salad. Even the large portion is small but its v nice. Juicy blood orange and crispy fennel with a red wine vinaigrette v nice. Salmon was cooked perfectly med rare with a crisp skin onion and caper sauce. Was v good but could have had more capers. Side of kale and parsnip was not what i expected. Both were super crisped tasted more like seaweed from ur local Chinese. Was nice and fun. Will return.

Adam D.

Yelp
Just finished brunch at Hubbard & Bell. Now, while I ran a half marathon this morning, then walked from Kings Cross, the food and coffee Kylie and I ordered was delicious. We shared the steak and eggs (which is eggs florentine on a hashbrown, with two decent sized pieces of superbly cooked steak throw in for good measure) and the patty melt sandwich and fries. We also had a flat white, home brew and finished it all off with a cold brew. Note: Don't wear a light denim blue shirt tucked into dark trousers. You will be confused for waiting staff, which were very polite and attentive.

Ashley P.

Yelp
Food was ok. Never paid 23 pb for an eggs Benedict with avocado. Service was not that good as our food sat on the counter and the chef had to tell service three times. So everything was a little cold. And when we had gotten there, there were only Maybe 6 other guests. Had to keep asking for more water. Good not worth the price I paid.

Yelp
Been here twice in 3 days. Awesome place to get some work done for those location independent entrepreneurs like myself or any sort of work. You do have to scope out the seats you want for a bit though but you'll generally find a cozy spot. Food is excellent. Service is awesome. Vibe and energy is great. Roomy, spacious yet comfortable. Must place to hang out vs the typical Starbucks. Oh and their green juice is refreshingly delicious.

Yelp
First breakfast while in London and we weren't disappointed, we had the avocado and eggs, just amazing! Staff were so friendly and very welcoming as soon as walking in the doors. Wasn't too overpriced, you pay for what you get! Very happy and would return!!

Yelp
I am very happy about Hubbard & Bell. Food is pretty good and offers a very delicious burger for lunch and dinner, while you can munch on pancakes, bagel with salmon and eggs benedict in the morning. Everything works well and service is so nice. Everyone serves us happily, they are smiling and are very attentive. Last, but no least: This place is so beautifully designed.

Yelp
Looks good, great lounge atmosphere, reliable Wi-Fi. However, there are almost no vegan gluten-free options at all. And the pastries are pretty bad and unhealthy. I cannot comment on the restaurant itself, as I haven't tried it.

Yelp
Great breakfast! I had the QUINOA PORRIDGE with almond milk, banana and bee pollen. It was delicious. Atmosphere and service are also high quality. Cocktails for after work drinks are great and the ambience is worth it.

Yelp
Wish I had known earlier that a lovely lunch place like this existed in Holborn. On my last lunch date I went to hummus bros! Anyway I had "toast and rainbow trout" (the trout was almost like guacamole but was delicious) and a ceasar salad which to be honest wasn't quite as good (chicken was a bit slimy, for want of a better description). I think both were around £10. My dining companion had a steak melt sandwich which was apparently very tasty but arrived, slightly comically, on a tiny plate with no garnish or accompaniment. This reads like a 3 star "a-ok" review rather than 4, but I liked the busy ambience and nice surroundings and if you maybe choose carefully and ask a few questions of the waiter you will be fine.

Yelp
Trendy spot in the Hoxton Hotel. I've had a few of their dishes and found the salads, mains and toasts really nice. Good spot for eating with a larger group, rather than a spot for couples.

Yelp
This recently opened restaurant in the back of the Hoxton hotel has a trendy atmosphere with matching staff outfits and allows a peak at the food being prepared in the open kitchen. The open plan setting means things get a little noisy when it is busy. The food is an amazing twist on classic dishes with fresh ingredients. I would really recommended cured meats and the oxtail toast as starter, the duck (nice and pink) as main and the key lime pie dessert. Cocktails are similar classic twists and the homemade lemonade was a hit too! Highly recommended!
