Hudson Market

Stopped in for a quick lunch and got the grilled chicken caesar wrap. All the ingredients were really fresh but there was almost no dressing, so it was super dry. It also had a small amount of lettuce. Basically just a chicken wrap. The hot bar food looked insanely good, so I wonder if I made the wrong choice!

If i could give a rating of 0 stars, i would. I thought I would give this place a shot since it was close to my place, but it was the worst customer experience I've had in a while. After reading other reviews, it looks like i'm not alone. Please save yourself time, money and overall well-being because if you end up ordering from this place, you'll definitely lose all three.

Amazing hot bar!!! Not cheap but amazing quality. Their meats compare to restaurants. Even liked their sushi: right ratio of filling and the rice has good texture.

We went in for the deli experience, and wow, it delivered. The 2 guys in there were so good the food is so fresh and tasty

Ordered the chicken cutlet supreme and it had a roach in it!!! The refunded my order but that’s all…offered to give me more food but that was the last thing I wanted to hear after that experience. Won’t be coming here again for obvious reasons

We went here while staying in Chelsea. Both the sandwiches and panini were delicious, and especially liked the Hudson burger. We would like to go there again if we have the opportunity.

Good food, good staff, best place to go for food hudson yards area i love the breakfast buffett. I loved the coffee variety and the different soups and oatmeals, the lunch buffett is always different they also have a seating area in the back they always have a different variety of soups. They have remained open during the pandemic feeding the essential and stay at home workers

I came here 2 years ago and I've only just found this again, I still think about the wrap I got from here to this very day. I don't even live in America let alone New York, but I miss this market like it's my husband away at war.

I was in the area and decided to order their bacon egg and cheese on a bagel ($6) for breakfast. From Monday to Friday, you get a free small coffee with your order. They were quick to prepare the sandwich once I ordered it. Overall, good sandwich and average price for the areas.

Tired of all the food you've been eating recently? Try the food bar here! I don't know why this place has such negative reviews. I wasn't sure what to eat and looked at the food bar which looked good and it was! The sandwiches are pretty good too. I had a pastrami supreme and added an egg. Delicious! Service is very friendly and helpful. There is seating inside and outside.

Popped in for a quick espresso. Service quick and nice enough. A bit rundown but has some good essentials in the store. Surprisingly large seating area to enjoy the espresso.

Second day of work lunch. The hot-food self-service offerings were well cooked and fairly tasty.

Such a cute a chic spot. There was so much to choose from i couldnt choose, however i settled on the pastrami and added cheese. There's a spot to actually enjoy wine and the fresh food in the market area. The cooks are pretty nice and even remade my sandwich. I also had a smoothie (not pictured) from the smoothie bar and it was perfect as I waited for my sandwich. Definitely not your typical deli I will be stopping by anytime I'm in NY

Lunch today at Hudson Market was tasty. As I entered I couldn't believe how spacious and packed this place was and how much was available. It resembled a supermarket with all kinds of items that one could buy. At the sandwich counter I chose a chicken salad on toasted plain bagel with lettuce. There was an area with wooden tables and chairs where I sat to eat. Later I came with a friend from the perfume event and while she ate lunch from the hot foods section I ate mixed fruit from the cold food section. The Vita Coco was not fresh tasting so I wondered how long it had been there. Also the Cortado I had earlier was not particularly good so I tossed it. Service was friendly.

Stopped here on a whim to grab coffee before heading up to the High Line. Got an iced latte and it hit the craving spot. This place has a nice vibe. Tons of fresh fruit, smoothies, baked goods and even fresh buffet Asian food at 10:30am. Worth the stop if you want to grab something quick.

Coffee people constantly messing up the drinks on their own menu. Putting water in lattes, not steaming them, etc

The girls who run the bar service (coffee, tea and bevs) are genuinely so rude. I've worked customer service before and understand that when people ask for water, it can be really annoying. With that being said, it's something people do and it's something I asked for. She kinda just rudely turned around and filled the cups halfway and then didn't even say a single word throughout the entire interaction. It was weird and made me uncomfortable. How do you expect people to come to you when they actually want a coffee if you're rude to them when they ask for water... It was not a great feeling.

Horrible customer service and food quality has gone down. Don't recommend eating here.

Hudson Market caught my eye when I started to get hungry. I saw tables and chairs available out front so I decided to go in for a look. First thing I saw on the right side of the entrance is the juice bar. There's lots of health bars, snacks etc. I was greeted by a young lady behind the counter. I told her I was going to look around that it was my first visit. I felt welcomed here. It's a small grocery with areas of different prepared food options too. There's burritos, sandwiches, bagels and more. The prepared salads looked delicious although pricey. All of a sudden I spotted the buffet. The salmon and sides were my choice. I ended up with a taste of salmon, Mac N Cheese, and mashed potatoes. All three were excellent tasting. I could have really pigged out except the price is $12 a pound! Mine came to $7. You have gloves for safety at the buffet. After you get your food you take your purchase up front to one of the cashiers to weigh and pay. There's a nice area by the door to pick up napkins and utensils. I grabbed some and left for a table outside in front to eat. The experience was definitely a good one. I enjoyed the food and I still had room for desert later. I'd definitely return if I'm in the neighborhood.

Overpriced and expensive market with no prices on anything except the hot food. How much are new yorkers making to where prices are irrelevant and they can grab anything and just pay for it? Are the prices so dynamic they cant bother to put labels on any of the items? I despise bodegas like this bc how can a consumer make a decision with their money? Imagine going to a clothing store and nothing has a price. I brought my items to the cashier for her to tell me a small single size serving of OJ was $6.53! In what world does that make sense? The liquor store next door had vodka for $6.51 that includes tax, which i purchased. The hot food may be a good deal since there's nothing quicker or cheaper in the area except the food cart on the corner, but the fresh juices and wraps were abt $8, and hot breakfast sandwiches were $6. Wont return.

Wow, the place is dirty and messy, especially the checkout counter. I was shocked to see the rude male clerk put hot food that had slipped out back onto the plate. On top of that, the price is twice as high as what you'd pay at Whole Foods. I was so turned off, I almost wanted to toss my lunch in the garbage. I can't believe businesses like this are still around. Do they even care to read their clients reviews here?

This place isn't bad, I eat there almost every morning, friendly hard working staff. The coffee is always fresh, and the grill is always on point.

The breakfast wrap was decent and service was super quick, but I felt a bit unsafe because someone walked into the store to solicit from people eating inside. Would probably just grab and go.

Nice little market/bodega but it's a but pricey. Just stopped in during the middle of winter to get some hot coffee.

I don't know why this place has bad reviews... Stopped by here while just exploring the city and I had no complaints about it! It has so many good options, both fresh and hot, ethnic cuisines, and even a coffee shop. Granted I didn't try any of the food, but it was clean and a very modern looking market. It has a lot of great potential. It reminded me of a small, more local Whole Foods.

You're gonna need a megaphone if you expect your order to be correct at the deli. Lots of finance bros.

The workers need to be diligent when making orders. This place is on the more expensive side for NYC food and constantly gives the wrong order or unpleasant food to customers. I can confidently say this establishment is overpriced for its service and quality as I have visited many times ordering various items only to be left unsatisfied.

Please check your fruit for mold when picking out any prepared mixed fruit from the bar area. More than 3 time I have found mold in my food had to throw away a whole bowl of fruit that is pricey 5-7$. When ordering food from the sandwich area the cooks can be subjective to who and when they want to take orders from every morning I when I order food I always get ignored to the point I have raise my hand or raise my voice to get the attention of the cook to please take my order. They need a reality check and to stop playing favorite on who and when they want to take food orders. I understand when they can't because no space or to many orders are in and need to get found out to take in more. But when your standing if front of the order window and he ask blatantly looks pass you and asks others around you what they want!

I love this place! I live in the area and the hot/cold bars are SO yummy. Great for breakfast to go and dinner on the way home from work. Price is a little steep but still cheaper than what you'd pay for delivery and great quality. I recently got the pork meatballs with sweet chili pineapple and it was was incredible. Their coffee is yummy too. 10/10 would recommend.

Like the food, but the salad counter has really done down hill recently. Bowls are now barely filled, as policy. Clearly staff have been told to use less produce. Cost is the same. Poor. Looking forward to other options opening in the area soon - this spot will seriously struggle with this attitude.

I live in the building above, and go there at least weekly. At this point I'm sure everyone recognizes me. Since we live in the above building of the market we get a small discount. I always use this discount, but the female manager or whatever she is had the nerve to ask me for the original email for this stupid discount. Left a bad taste in my mouth. Not going to pull out the race card, but I will happily order from Whole Foods at this point. My feelings were hurt.

Worst pancakes ever - the pastry tastes nothing, the fruits are mashed and sour. It's cheap though, I know understand why: poor quality.

I read the reviews for Hudson Market and decided to give it a chance. I experienced the negatives and the positives throughout the comments. The 1st employee counter was incredibly rude. The 2nd employee was fairly friendly. He offered me a bag, handed over the lunch and I was on my way. Quick and somewhat easy. When I opened my meal and you can not imagine my expression. Likened to really bad hospital food, in a desolate area without a real cook. The beef, ugh. The beef was more like oven roasted, medallions in some type of goopy, gelatinous, cheap instant gravy packet mixed with soy sauce and "pan Asian" seasonings. It looked nothing like the sliced steak cooked medium medium rare. What made it worse, was it was all ice cold! So microwaving this would have made a bad situation worse. The rice was of the instant variety overcooked but not too sticky, two small broccoli spears and a cherry tomato. What was that? I was over it. I'm glad that it was a Mealpal selection as opposed to paying the $15 for this disappointing mess. I ended up tossing it after a few bites. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Got MealPal from here a few times. Wait time was as long as 30 min. Had to pay an extra $5 once. Unfortunately there are not many options in Hudson Yards.

Their strawberry salad is absolutely amazing and there service is great! - I'm not sure why there are these bad ratings. This was not my experience at all. They were very helpful and patient.

I think some people may be confusing "Hudson Market" with the "Hudson Food Market". I have been to Hudson Market more times than I can count and I can attest to the quality of food, as well as the cleanliness of the establishment. There are countless prepared food options, a quality grocery selection, and a great deli staff. Certainly not my choice for a sit down meal, but anytime I need lunch on the go, Hudson Market is my go-to place in Chelsea.

The market isn't bad but their customer service and online ordering is. Ordered breakfast at 8. No notifications. Checked on the app about an hour later, it's in progress. Went to the store, no knowledge of the order and when I called customer service through delivery.com they claim they're waiting for me to pick up the order. They can keep the $20, I won't be back.

This place knows it's the only thing available in West Chelsea and it makes you pay for it at $12.99/lb at an average-level buffet bar. This area is an absolute dead zone for restaurants and eateries. I've only tried the hot and cold food bar, never the individual stations. I like their fried tilapia, coconut chicken and tuna steaks, but everything else is just okay and definitely not worth the high price. There's a seating area in the back when you don't feel like baking in the sun on the Highline or unintentionally photobombing tourists while you're pigging out. One thing I did not like is the fact that I've witnessed some encounters between managers and employees that got a bit confrontational and it made me feel uncomfortable and I wish was handled privately. I've never had an issue with employees having an attitude like other reviewers.

First, the salad bar worker DUMPS dressing onto my salad before I can tell her to stop. To top it all off: when I get home, I find a hair in my food :(. I've had bad experiences at this place before, in terms of food quality - specifically at the açaí bowl and smoothie bar, where you pay upwards of $10+ for a smoothie bowl, and half of the thing is ice. But this experience takes the cake. The prices they charge don't justify this kind of oversight.

Not sure if we've all been brainwashed to accept poor service as a matter of fact in New York, but you heard it here - you don't have to accept it. I ordered lunch from this place. Quoted an hour so I wait. After being 30 minutes later than that, I called them. The woman tells me, "Well we get a lot of orders." Yes. That's kinda how delivery works. You get orders, you quote a time, you make the order in the time you think you can make them and deliver it. I wait another 30 minutes. Mind you the food is now an hour late, after waiting an hour previous during the quoted delivery time. Call again. "Sir, we're busy so you're just going to have to wait." I tried to cancel my order and they refused. So I called my credit card and disputed the charge. The food finally arrived about 2 hours late, and it was terrible. New Yorkers, you don't have to accept this.

I had a nice meal at the buffet, but I bought some trail mix and it was completely rancid. Yuck

Overpriced and lol I've never paid the same amount for the same bagel order twice. The price seems to depend on who's workingI can get a better bagel for the cheapest price I've paid for the same bagel here. Edit I just bought some overpriced lettuce and there were dead bugs in it.

I keep going back to this place as there's not a lot of lunch options by my office and I'm tired of repetitive crappy experiences. This is the second time in 2 weeks that the yogurt/fruit/granola they make in-house (allegedly daily) had to be thrown in the trash because the yogurt was spoiled, and this also just happened to my business partner as well. Additionally, many of the employees are not very polite or friendly. It comes across like they really don't like their job and are enduring a crap culture. This place has the potential to be a 4 or 5-star experience, but as you can see clearly from my experience and the experiences of others, there's inconsistency/poor service across all facets which is a management issue. As new places open up in this area (which is basically a giant construction site west of 10th right now) I look forward to not being forced to go here as the only place close by with a variety of vegetarian options.

The long wait is over! Big and rustic Hudson Market flung open its doors today. At first I felt a Foragers vibe, but no- several things set it apart. There is a meal of one meat-two sides -$11 I went with turkey, grits and grilled asparagus. Yummy healthy style grits, tasty turkey- skin was super! Another distinction is the separate eating area- this is great! A big beautiful kitchen cooks the cuisine. Breakfast looked promising with Davidovich bagels. Then I saw the pastries- no signs saying Balthazar's and the current array look generic, otherwise I look forward to many meals & Hudson Market being nearby in Chelsea! Hopefully breakfast pastries get an upgrade-:)

The absolute worst customer service and the slowest wait time for the most mediocre deli sandwich.

Food is good, but the guy who works at the cashier or some kind of supervisor doesn't respect covid rules,lady was in a front of me and she was not done paying for her stuff and he was squeezing me next to her,me and another guy, he always has some kind of attitude every time me and my coworkers go there, so we decided we are not going at Hudson Market anymore!

I come for lunch every now and then to get the least heavy foods as possible - and it's quite good. However I went for breakfast to get a smoothie or Açaí bowl bc I had the ultimate craving. I probably made the worst decision to start the day. I ordered an Açaí brain food bowl - but the girl accidentally charged me $3 extra for almond butter (which is already included). I was about to flip a sh*t when I realized she charged me for $15.50 for an ACAI BOWL (acai, bananas, almond milk, almond butter, granola and strawberries OR blueberries - not both). The girl realized she made an error and didn't even apologize for the error..I felt bad so I apologized TO HER to have to correct my transaction back to $12.75... still that's OD. On to the açaí bowl making - a different lady at the juice bar is eating cashews with her bare hands from the jar that is used for smoothies and bowls - while she is preparing my bowl. She's eating those nuts as she's looking for her banana and and the other ingredients. She makes my bowl, which is literally everything blended with granola and blueberries thrown on top. No other toppings are allowed god forbid you'll be charged $3 a pop. I get this is not a place where they specialize in açaí bowls but if I'm paying $13 for breakfast I better get something pretty. And it didn't even taste that good. I will never ever come back for breakfast here. Such a ripoff and bad vibes all around. Stick to lunch and get only the light stuff so you don't pay $20 for lunch.

Amazing place to grab lunch. I work at the WeWork two blocks away, and this is a great place to grab a sandwich, salad, or hot food. It's super well priced with lots of options. Extremely surprised to see the reviews so low, my experience was great.

Came in for a quick snack before Sleep No More at the fruit smoothie bar. We ordered a green acai bowl to share and it was warm. That was a mood kill. The granola was broken up Nutri-grain bars... which now I understand why this place gets 2 stars on Yelp. The portion was shareable for two people though.

WORST SERVICE WORST ACAI BOWL I ordered an Acai Brain Bowl which I can choose either peanut or almond butter as my ingredient. I guess the worker loves peanut butter, and she simply blended it into my acai bowl without even mentioning a word to me. I had to figure out that it was peanut butter after I got home and tasted it. Besides, the acai bowl itself tastes AWFUL, trust me. Terrible for being $13.88 (w/o any additional toppings). It's too watery that you can't taste any flavors out of it. It's even more watery than regular smoothies. You don't need a spoon to eat this. Just drink it. If you want to pay for a complete ripoff price for such horrible service and horrible food, then try this place out. This place only looks good and fancy from the outside.

So this literally just happened... I was ordering a plate from the carvery when the guy behind the counter dropped the tongs on the floor, picked them back up, and put them back on the cutting space in front of the food. I'm nearly positive he saw me watch him, which makes it worse. Just to see what he does, I went ahead and ordered. He grabbed the tongs he just dropped on the floor and starting serving me. I walked away immediately. I then told a manager what just happened and she said, "Oh, he usually works in the back", as if that somehow justifies it? Does that mean it's okay to reuse cooking utensils that were dropped on the floor in the back where the food is cooked? I'm so disgusted I can't possibly eat here again, which sucks because this was the only decent place nearby--until this.

I come here to pick up food on the way to work in the morning between 8:45 and 9:30 am and I find service to be fine at those hours. In fact the cashier, I believe her name is Nina, usually has a friendly greeting for me. I stick to the breakfast bar, avocados from the produce section, hard-boiled eggs, and smoothies (3 C's with a shot of espresso), and all of these are adequate for my needs. Occasionally I pick up breakfast for my office from the breakfast bar and it's always a great deal, I can feed 15-20 people for $30-$35, and people love having sausage and pancakes and waffles instead of bagels. However I would not eat here for lunch or any other meal. The quality of the food is not good, it's just your standard average NY deli. Don't be fooled by the Organic claims and fancy signage... you'll pay premium prices for the same swill you can get from any deli. Go elsewhere for better prices and no pretense.

I love this place. It's become very competitively priced too! It's so nice to have a gourmet market nearby for my pantry. I feel like I can find anything I need here: fresh herbs, miso, my favorite fancy tuna, labneh, toum, every non-dairy milk or yogurt I can think of, awesome fresh produce, and a superb deli. It's the only place I get groceries at.

I highly recommend picking up food **before 12 and after 2**. I've gotten food and coffee for my team and it's always of good quality. If you do go in for lunch, between 12 and 2, you will experience chaos and a disorganized crowd. Food orders go missing, coffee orders come out plain wrong. Smoothies will not get made.

WHERE IS THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH!!!???. As others have stated this establishment is preparing and selling poor quality food that is old or going bad. After a few times of coming here I started realizing this sad truth. Plus the place apparently looks somewhat decent BUT look *closer its filthy..with weird dim lighting to hide all the gross shit lying around and just dark/dreary. LETS TALK ABOUT THAT DISGUSTING JUICE BAR...ladies and gentlemen it's *full of bacteria. This is not a healthy juice bar this is a come and get FOOD POISONING BAR. The girls are not properly trained, sorry but have to say it..with a ghetto attitude attending to customers, no hair net or hat to protect there hair from landing in the ingredients or my juice, constantly charge different prices if you order of the menu AND ZERO training on how to prepare drinks or clean each blender from one client to another. The last time the girl finished with a customer and proceeded to start my drink so she took the blender put it into that pathetic of a sink that's disgusting and took a soapy rag that was placed at the inside edge of the sink to soap down the blender. VOMIT!! I was just watching in horror and then rinsed the blender twice which when she placed on the counter to start putting in my ingredients it still had excess water inside that wasn't removed. I just let her finish making the drink then left and threw it out. THE SUPPOSED JUICE BAR IS NOT ...it's a very sad call of that. Dirty, with fruit uncovered not properly refrigerated, old ingredients and VERY POOR SANITARY CONDITIONS THAT IS A RECIPE FOR SICKNESS. On top of that it is NOT PROPERLY EQUIPPED not set up for this. OH AND THOSE PASTRIES LYING AROUND IN FRONT OF THE COFFEE MACHINE...all out and uncovered with dust, dirt and a bunch of bacteria it's deadly. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO CLOSE IT DOORS.
