Humble Pie

It was a hot summer Friday evening. We wanted to get a casual dinner and decided to go to this Raleigh Staple. We were sat on the outside patio which is quite large. They have a more modern southern menu. We had the burrata - sourdough bread with a delicious pickle sauce. Brussel sprouts that are large and tasty. Blue Crab legs which are delicious with an amazing sauce. And finished the meal with buttermilk chicken. All tapas style but huge tapas(at least for 2 people). They have a good selection of cocktails, and can make a good mocktail as well. Good spot, highly recommend.

Callie was super friendly and helpful, and all her recommendations were on point. We had the sourdough, Brussel sprouts (not pictured because we ate them too fast), crispy fingerling potatoes and fried chicken. The portions were all very well sized for the price. I often find myself feeling sour about portion sizing at tapas/'family style' restaurants, but Humble Pie struck the right balance. The cocktails and beer pricing also felt appropriate, and I enjoyed my paloma. We will definitely be returning! Update: still awesome

Service was great. We were taken care of by Carrisa. Food came out incredibly fast, even for tapas, and was delicious. Our favorites were the crab claws, short rib tostadas, and Brussel sprouts. We had the pork belly sliders also which were good but but pictured as we were so hungry. Finally the chicken was deliciously crisp and well seasoned. They make a fantastic dark n stormy too. Desserts were delicious as we got both. We were partial to the bread pudding over the chocolate torte. The torte was fudgier in consistency but was well balanced with the cream. The bread pudding was divine. The restaurant had bar, booth, dining and exterior seating. It was casual but refined and I’m a sucker for a black and white floor. An excellent date night location. 10/10!

Came in for an early dinner, around 530pm and we found easy parking in the self-pay lot. The restaurant has a very eclectic vibe with lots of great art work. We sat at a table (not a booth) and our space was roomy we did not feel that we were sitting too close to other tables. The food service was quick and all our meals were fresh. We ordered brussel sprouts, green salad, tuna tartar and crab claws; my favorite was the brussel sprouts and the greens salad. Portions are very generous and definitely "shareable". Had a great experience and enjoyed everything. Giving it 4 stars because I would have like to see a few more meal options to choose from on the menu and couple more dessert options. Overall would totally return. Thanks for the great dinner!

There is parking available in an adjacent lot after 6:00pm. We selected Humble Pie as it was listed as one of the best places to eat outside in Raleigh. Reservations are done by email, but if you want to dine in the covered outdoor patio you MUST state that in your reservation. This fact we discovered last evening at 6:00pm. At that time, there were over a dozen available tables, but we were told that the area was full. When we left an hour later 25% were still empty. Our server explained the a la carte menu to us and told us that the portions were large enough to be shared by the dinner guests. This was NOT true. The bread order ($4.00) was 2 slices of bread cut in half. The steak tacos ($24.00) were three of the smallest tacos I have seen. The salad ($10.00) could not be shared by more than 2 people. The entrees that we did get were delicious. The server left the menu behind for those who wanted to order more food. Both couples ordered more items. With all the great restaurants in Raleigh, this is not one that we will return to.

My pictures are awful but for good reason. They have excellent outdoor seating with every table having its own overhead heat lamp…hence the orange hue on all my pics. I am always frustrated when I come here that I don’t come here enough. They have some of the best comfort food in town. Their blue crab claws are a must and I have them every time I eat here. Outside of those, we had the tuna tartare which comes with homemade pork rinds, their roasted brussel sprouts, fried oysters, and finished with their flourless chocolate cake. Clearly I was so consumed with consuming, I failed to capture the Brussels and only did the crab and cake when there was literally one bite left. You have to give Humble Pie a try, especially if you are concerned about Covid as they have one of the biggest and warmest outdoor seating offerings in Raleigh. Want to mix it up a little…start with a drink at Barcelona then walk one block to Humble Pie for dinner, and then back over near Barcelona to have a cup of coffee at Heirloom.

Loved our dinner here! Service was great and we ended up ordering more than originally planed because the food was so good. I wish I had found this place sooner.

This place is severely overpriced. The best thing we had here was the fried chicken. The pork sliders are a complete rip off as you only get 2 silver dollar sized sliders for $8, unbelievable. The staff isn’t very welcoming, which seems like a trend for restaurants in the downtown area. Do not come here if you are trying to go out for dinner. If you are looking for drinks and expensive snacks, this will be the spot for you.

Outstanding dinner. Found great food reviews for this place and for a cool Sept. evening the patio seemed inviting. I started with a Paloma which was one of their tequila cocktails. Ordered the blue crab crawls in butter sauce with sourdough bread for dipping and crispy fingerling potatoes with aioli dipping sauce. The crab crawls tasted great and the butter sauce had a bit of spice from the red pepper flakes. The taters were as expected; crispy with a tasty soft middle. They tasted great in the butter sauce from the crab crawls and also in the aioli. Tony was an excellent server and made great suggestions on my food. The patio is one of the most inviting outdoor seating areas I have found anywhere. I highly and humbly recommend Humble Pie for anyone visiting the Raleigh area. You will thoroughly enjoy this gem. Came for dinner and sat outside - definitely would recommend making a reservation ahead of time. I tried: + Sourdough bread + Crispy brussels + Blue crab claws + Pork belly sliders + Mac and cheese + Buttermilk fried chicken + Cast iron burger The best dishes were the brussels and crab claws, though the mac and cheese, chickens and burger were all great, too. The bread should be free imo, but definitely get some to dip in the crab claws sauce, which must have crack in it because it's incredible.

A bit disappointed in this place. Not a great place for brunch in my opinion. I got the shrimp and grits and if it's describe as the broth of the gods .... I expect it to be good if not impeccable. It tasted like tomato sauce was poured over grits and steamed shrimp. My shrimp did not taste like it was cooked with any seasoning at all. They give out complimentary biscuits. My daughter loved it and enjoyed her bowl of fruit. I don't know if they are home made but the nothing compared to the ones at flying biscuits. My husband had the breakfast tacos- he did enjoy it. There is a note on top of menu that says no especial orders, so if you have a food allergy or don't like to eat something specific plan accordingly. I will say I'm still wanting to try their regular menu. The service was great and fast we were basically out of there in 40 mins from being seated/ordering/paying. Our waiter was awesome. Ladies tip: one of the stalls in the women's restroom did not lock because it didn't line up. It was a pain having to hold the door while trying to pee.

We didn't know what to expect with Humble Pie but I must say it was cool stepping out of our norm and giving this place a chance. Reservations are recommended & you can choose from the outside seating area or inside. Sun was beaming yesterday & although they had a shade covering outdoors, we wanted to be indoors. We arrived as soon as they opened. Our server Mark was sooo cool, he had such a chill vibe, was knowledgeable about the menu and suggested some of the best sellers to us. He kept coming with the food and drink refills at the perfect time - he's def my fav type of waiter. Mark was wearing a WuTang shirt & I loved that for him lol. The food are shareable sizes so my husband & I shared everything that was ordered. We had margherita pizza, which surprisingly was really good - the barrata on the pizza really gave it that extra umph 9/10 - the crispy edges on the pizza was my fav. The fried chicken (chicken thighs with chipotle honey on them) was immaculate - it had the perfect amount of crisp) and was my fav item on the menu 10/10. We also had their crispy potatoes with garlic aioli sauce and whew, that sauce really leveled up the potatoes (9/10) - a side of ketchup with them and they would have a 10/10. The last item we had was Mac & cheese, I'm going to give it a 8/10 & that's only because I thought it could have used some seasoning. Idk if I would order it again but if you're not big on seasoning, then you may enjoy it a lot more than I did. My husband didn't eat any Bc he's not big on super cheesy food. We had regular soft drinks and water and our bill was about $62 (before tips). If you cannot find street parking on the weekend, they have a parking lot area but you definitely have to pay for it. I think we paid $3 or $5 for 1 hour. Food was served fast, it's a low key kind of area and we loved it! Def gonna be back for more.

I've been excited to try Humble Pie for awhile now. We finally had an opportunity to go for a Sunday brunch. The food was good, nothing spectacular though. I liked my taco, but it was pretty run of the mill. I had a bloody Mary, it was really good - little spicy, boozy and full of tomatoes. The coffee was gross - I can tell it had been sitting for a few hours in their karaffe... My wife ordered the shrimp and grits, she wasn't impressed and said the shrimp was over cooked, under seasoned and the overall dish needed more flavor. I really want to come back for a dinner - the menu looks great! Hopefully better than the brunch.

Expensive for the amount of food. With the food ranging from good to okay. The place looks nice and is in a pretty good location! But that's where the compliments kind of end. Service honestly felt kinda odd - like a mix of very nice but always trying to upswell something instead of reading how I was feeling. I ended ordering a couple of dishes and honestly my favorite one was the Crispy Brussels from how consistent it was. The Blue Crab Claws was okay - was mostly butter (which created a problem and they want you to order some bread with this), with barely any crab. Wine wasn't spectacular and wish service provided a good pairing recommendation. Was really expecting more unfortunately.

A place to go with a group so you can share dishes with other folks. I went with a Vegan friend who already ate, so I could only get two dishes that were too large for myself to finish. However the fried chicken with hot honey, and scalloped potatoes were pretty good. I would come back to this spot. The environment is pretty nice and the service was really good as well.

I have to get used to this small plate dining....not used to sharing. But not going to let this uneasiness impact my review of good food. We had a bunch of theses small plates : Mac/cheese, pork belly sliders, Brussels, fingerling potatoes, meatballs, salad and more. All were very tasty, came out quick, and wait staff was very attentive. Never had an aperol sprintz, always wondered what it tasted like.....it didn't disappoint!

The food and flavor was amazing. I love Tapas places and this place out done it's area. Service was a 10/10. Quick on point, no lingering. Def. A 25-30% tip deserving. The atmosphere is soft yet inviting. I'd come here over and over

This review is for dinner. Both of us agree it is the best meal we have had out since we can remember. Everything was absolutely perfect. Service, ambiance, drinks, food...seriously awesome! If there's a catch it would be that you are on your own for finding parking for this Warehouse District Restaurant. Limited street parking. We had no problem finding parking right up the street in a deck on Harrington for $2 per hour on this Saturday night. In other words, not really a catch at all, as it was a simple short walk. Note: entrance is a little hidden away. The entrance is on the opposite end of the building from the depot parking lot. Almost makes it look like it's the back of the restaurant, but it's the front. Lots of patio seating available. We like AC, and couldn't have been happier with our comfortable booth in the dining room. It was cozy, yet had enough room for the variety of "small" plates we ordered. Service: Web was our delightful Server. Yes, like "Charlotte's Web". She could not have done a better job, been more knowledgeable or more passionate about the food she was serving. We were in good hands from beginning to end. Drinks: Water with ice. Huge plus in my book. Not used to French Chardonnays, Web brought me a taste and while not my usual type, it was good and went perfectly with the food. Husband was content with his Manhattan. FOOD: I'm no dummy, I do my research. Yelp is for a reason. Food porn and reviews will lead you to some amazing finds, and thanks to Holly I knew I had to experience the Blue Crab Claws. And that I should get the house made Sourdough Bread to dip in the garlic, lemon, chile sauce. This might be the best advice I've ever gotten here! Just sayin'. Husband felt very strongly also about his Grilled Skirt Steak with garlic brown butter and green onions. And the Cauliflower "Mac n Cheese" (it's cauliflower with a wonderful cheese sauce) could not have been a better side dish to share for the two dishes. We did start off with the Tater Tots w/Pimento Cheese also that was so tasty we (mostly Husband) managed to finish off the rather large bowlful. (at least we both had worked out pretty hard before we came). We were so enamored by the amazing Sourdough bread that we ordered a batch to go, and also took home some of my crab claws (very rich, can't wait for the leftovers!), and Husband wanted to bring home a dessert as well. They had two to pick from...tiramisu and a rich brownie made from Escazu chocolate with whipped cream. We can both attest to how good that was later in the evening. Price-wise, very reasonable for the quality and quantity, including drinks. My French Chardonnay was a reasonable $7 per glass, while Husband's Manhattan was under $9. Food was worth every penny. Mmmmm! Note: They take reservations. We made them day-of via their website, and received an email confirmation. This restaurant was doing "tapas" (small plates) before it was the trendy thing to do and they have obviously perfected their craft. Highly recommend!

If you are ever at Humble Pie, do not pass up the Tuna Tartare! Incredible meal over all and our server Aide was great! Sangria, tuna tartare, mahi-mahi, crispy chicken, chocolate torte and bread pudding. FTW

Flavorful eats, cute and welcoming outdoor and indoor environment with a fantastic host to boot (who has an uncanny resemblance to the chef... ) that let us hang pretty much most of the night. (thanks guys!) Of the 5 dishes we tried the Fried Chicken, Fingerling potatoes and Brussel Sprouts were the winners. The Burrata dish was ok. Sadly the Cauliflower mac & cheese was the least successful. As a whole, I would recommend and will definitely be back!

We went here on a Wednesday night and the weather was amazing, so all the outdoor seating was taken, so be sure to make reservations if you can! The staff was amazing and the food was delicious. The bread pudding was my favorite. My husband liked the flank steak, but he thought for the price (over $20), it should have came with a side or a larger portion.

Brunch here this past Sunday was beyond amazing. From the service to the food to the amazing patio, everything was spot on. The crispy potatoes are bites of heaven if you're a lover of the SPUD. They are served with chipotle ketchup for a spicy kick. The biscuits are the star though. I have never had biscuits quite like these and honestly they are the best I've had in the Triangle. 10 outta 10

Food was quite tasty and service was great. Ambiance was just right, not too noisy. We plan to return later this summer!

Loved this place so much, I started working here. Food has always been phenomenal, brought out in a very timely fashion, and the service far surpasses what you'd typically find in downtown Raleigh. Perfect for date nights, birthdays, family dinners, company dinners and work gatherings, and special events. Reservations always highly recommended! Easy to book through Resy.

Humble Pie has always been one of my favorite restaurants in Raleigh! For dinner or brunch you really can't go wrong. It's been really nice during COVID to be able to sit on the patio! Tables are nicely spaced and they staff is very helpful. I would highly recommend The Humble Margarita, Cauliflower Mac & Cheese, Fried Chicken & cheese appetizer. Everything has so much flavor! For brunch, they have a great Bloody Mary and I also enjoy the bellinis. Huevos Rancheros, Biscuits and Sausage Gravy & Breakfast Sandwich are my favorite entrees! They also sometimes have tots to share with the table but they aren't on the menu.

Why have we never been here before !!! They have a fantastic outdoor space ! They have a small plate concept. Designed to be shared. We had probably the BEST fried chicken ever !!!! Honestly, you have to try it - SO GOOOOOD !!!! We also had the pork belly sliders . They were OK. Nothing fabulous to say for that price. We won't go there again. There must be daily drink specials. We were pleasantly surprised that margaritas were the special drink the night we were there. WOW !! Super yummy margaritas. We can't wait to come again and enjoy this lovely outdoor space.

We recently grabbed dinner here on a Friday night after an unintentional hiatus and this place is definitely going back in the regular rotation. Food was awesome and reasonably priced, and the service was on point. The restaurant was bustling but tables were nicely spaced, so you could carry on a conversation. We tried the brussel sprouts, the short rib tostada, the shrimp and the pizza and it was plenty to share among three of us. Good wine list too!

The service was good; the servers kind of all worked together. My water glass was never empty. You can also hear the people in the kitchen and it seems like most people at the humble pie really enjoys working there. Sourdough bread was amazing. It's one of my favorite sourdoughs. I normally do not like sourdough because a lot of times the bread turns out overly sour. I love the sourdough at humble pie because it has a nice subtle sour, but not overpowering, to it. The bread was soft with a nice crust. I would come back just for the bread. Blue crab claw: is this a North Carolina delicacy? I have seen it on the menus in Raleigh (but have never seen it anywhere else). For $15, they give you a big portion. I liked the sauce (it is like a lemon garlic butter sauce), it was very good with the sourdough bread. I cannot really tell whether the blue crab claws were fresh because the sauce is quite overpowering, but the claws had a nice sweetness to it and the texture felt right. I wouldn't consider it to be of bad quality, but it really is hard to tell when the flavoring of sauce is strong. Cauliflower mac and cheese: kind of underwhelming and bland. The cauliflower was a bit too overcooked for me (it was just a bit too soft), but I guess it does match the texture of cooked macaroni (not quite as soft, but you get the idea). The cheese sauce was on the thinner and runnier side, which is fine, but it just lacks flavors. The sauce was a bit bland. Not my favorite cauliflower mac, I would probably not order it again if I come back. Overall, great service and good bread, but it is not a must-repeat restaurant for me (as a Raleigh tourist). But if I lived in Raleigh, I would definitely come back.

Short menu and overpriced. To have a green salad is$12 and bread $6. So I ordered the pork sliders for $18. That was three sliders with a piece of pork belly and a single pickle slice. Save yourself the trouble and don't eat here.

At a time when most restaurants seem to be paring down their menus while simultaneously upping their pricing, Humble Pie stands above the rest. The food was incredible and the service was great!

This is one of the rare times we dug into most of the food before I took pictures! My family is trained to not touch their food until I've taken pictures of everything! Tonight, I don't know if I was super hungry, if it was the heavenly scent of the food in front of me, or temporary amnesia, but I only regained my senses before digging into the delicious fried chicken with sesame seeds. We also thoroughly enjoyed the crispy potatoes and Brussel sprouts, and the cast iron burger. All highly recommended.

Stopped in for brunch and despite not having a reservation they found us a table! Staff was friendly and the food was delicious. Drink and food prices were reasonable and portions were larger than they appeared. Look forward to going back!

It's casual, but no so casual. Very clean. Food was ordered and started flowing reasonably. The Brussel sprouts were outstanding. Ramen noodles were excellent too. Skirt steak was in my opinion the star of the night. Amazing flavor and tender. We also had the Fried Chicken (my wife loved it). My son had the mini burgers and he liked them. Highly recommend this place.

Good food and great service! I like that they allow call ahead and the host was super nice on the phone!

Humble Pie is our GO TO PLACE when in Raleigh. We live 2 blocks away in our second home and always make a stop here when we are in residence. The wait staff is amazing every time. We sit at the bar a lot and the bar tender (Sean I think!) knows our drinks when we sit down! The food is amazing, very reasonably priced and their corkage fee is awesome! Totally recommend them whenever your are in town!

Tried Sunday brunch, reservations are a must if you want to get seated in their outdoor patio. It was a bit chilly so they turned on the overhead heaters and that was a nice touch. Served two warm biscuits followed by shrimp and grits and eggs taco. Also ordered the desert donuts. They were just okay so no desert fur me next time. I noticed a large number of groups dining so leave yourself at least 90 minutes for this adventure. People did start lining up 15 minutes before they opened at 11am on Sunday.

We loved everything we got. The blue crab claws were awesome, and I highly recommend getting the bread to soak up the sauce.

I honestly wish I could rate this higher. The freaking oysters is why I'm rating this. I have never had fried oysters that were both light and flavorful. They delivered in ways that have honestly changed my life. 10 out of 5. WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!!!

Humble Pie is a shared plates restaurant located in downtown Raleigh's warehouse district. On this most recent visit my dining companion and I sat outside and split the below: Broiled Tetilla Cheese - always a solid go-to, I really enjoy the cheese and grape gastrique Buttermilk Fried Chicken - not as tender as I would like but it had a fantastic flavor Ricotta Gnocchi - would not recommend as I was not a huge fan of the large gnocchi and accompaniments Check their website to see what shared plates they are offering. Just note that this place can run out of shared plates depending on the demand.

First time coming. Came on a Sunday for brunch. They have a very limited menu on Sunday brunch apparently due to staffing. My food was absolutely delicious. My only complaint was that it was very hot & humid inside the restaurant. The butter that came with the free biscuits melted. My peach Bellini was warm. I had to ask for a cup of ice which melted quickly bc it was so hot inside the restaurant. But overall the food was great, the staff was super friendly. & I would definitely go back again on another day with the full menu available

Update: I appreciate the prompt response by management and plan to try again sometime. Great atmosphere, decent food, but sub par service. I enjoyed my sandwich but it wasn't anything I couldn't put together in my own kitchen with 5min. It appears that everything is pre prepared because they allow zero changes. Even something as simple as no tomato on a sandwich they said "no but you can pick it off yourself". The first sign in service that I was shocked about was our table asked for more biscuits and I was shocked when the waitress said "you should probably save room for your meal and if you still want some I'll bring you some." After a while we requested again and this time she said "ok do you need 7 more or can I just bring 3 or 4". I can only assume that they must come directly from her paycheck as protective as she was being over those biscuits. That or they are made with pure gold flakes.

Love coming here for the live music on Wednesdays. We have gone a couple of times to listen to Peter Lamb and the Wolves play who are there every other week. Really good jazz band! We are not huge fan of tapas but these are pretty good here, pork belly sliders and fried chicken tenders were are favorites. Not a fan of the desserts, the ones we have tried is the chocolate mouse which tasted good but had a grainy texture and the apple tart which was apple butter on a base that reminded me of a pop tart. Surprisingly good margarita and other mixed drinks, wines and beers.

Had Ms Morgan as server. She is good. Thorough. Sourdough bread over priced. Should be gratis. Blue Crab Claws good. Seemed over cooked. Brown color, like long cooked chicken. Sauce good. Unique dining experience.

Located in Downtown Raleigh's warehouse district, Humble Pie is a great place to fuel yourself for a day (or night) of exploring. My first and only visit was for brunch with my mom. We each had a cocktail to start- she got the Bloody Mary which was made with a great mix and I had the Corvette Summer. I'm normally not a huge fan of grapefruit but do love a good tequila cocktail and was pleasantly surprised with this one. The complimentary biscuits they serve to start are delicious and exactly how your grandma would make them, with the perfect texture balance of soft and flaky. For my meal, I went with the Huevos Rancheros. I asked for the chips on the side so I wouldn't be too full and, despite the menu stating that everything is served as is, they had no problem accommodating my request. The eggs were cooked to perfection and the homemade chorizo was delicious. The ratio of beans to the other ingredients was a little higher than I would have liked and took away from some of the other flavors of the dish. That said, I imagine the tortilla chips may have absorbed some of that had I not gotten them on the side. Will definitely be back to try the outdoor seating when the weather warms up again.

Humble Pie is a nice option for brunch. I went with a friend and my foster pup on a Sunday around 11:30am and there wasn't a wait. We sat outside since we had the pup - they are very dog friendly! They came by and brought him water and treats. I think the food is pretty good too! Pretty standard brunch menu. The portion sizes are a bit smaller than your traditional brunch, but I think the portion sizes are pretty reasonable for the price. Crossandwich 4/5 - Standard Croissant breakfast sandwich, it definitely hit the spot but it wasn't anything special Shrimp & Grits 4/5 - Grits had a really good flavor but the shrimp was under seasoned. Had 6-7 large shrimp! Tator Tots 4/5 - Nice and crispy, but I felt like the portion size was a bit small for $5. Service 5/5 - Everyone is super friendly and attentive. Our table was a bit wobbly and our server went and got a rock to even it out. Multiple servers came out and brought treats for my foster pup! Outdoor space 5/5 - Really nice and spacious outdoor space!

Great ambiance and outdoor heated patio. We had a reservation and were seated right away. I ordered Humble margarita which was made perfect! We ordered Crispy brussels, Chicken & dumplings, Sourdough bread and Blue crab claws. Loved all of them except chicken dumplings. We thought it was like pan seared chicken dumplings, but it was plain dumplings dipped in kinda chicken soup with chicken on top/sides; It had no flavor. We ordered rum raisin bread pudding, which was good but lil too sweet for us. Overall nice place with awesome tapas. We would for sure come back to try more from the menu!

We stumbled upon this restaurant while walking downtown. Luckily they had a table open for us to sit. We had the brussel sprouts, cauliflower Mac and Cheese and sliders. The food was excellent and the restaurant had a great atmosphere.

I highly recommend Humble Pie for brunch. I had the 'Egg Sammy' and sweat tea. The sandwich was excellent and filling. The service is prompt, friendly, and attentive. Plenty of seating. Lots of street parking and some private garages nearby.

A very lovely Tapas restaurant. I went for Valentine's Day and had mostly what was on their daily menu except for a few things. The highlight was the blue crab and the brussel sprouts. I really liked the flavor and will go back for those alone. The broccoli with cheese was nothing special. The fried chicken was delish as well, also spicy. They have a unique mixed drink menu, craft beer and wine menu. The environment was inviting and we'll managed. However, the night was busy, everyone showed up at once, and this may have caused some delays with the timing of our dishes. That is understandable. However, for dessert, they had a brownie and whipped cream. It was quite good. Different and freshly made as well. The cream seemed flavorless and needed some vanilla added to it. Then it would have been perfect. But I thank them for the Valentine's Day reservation that most restaurants won't do. Downside is street parking or private lot parking is all that's available.

I hate so much that I'm leaving a 4 star, I wanna give four but I was rubbed the wrong way after I was not served in a timely fashion. I visited with my daughter and her friend to give them a decent experience and we were sat outside (which was no problem due to them being at capacity for COVID-19 and reservations) however when we went to use the restroom and returned to our seats we had our water on the table and we saw another group on the patio being served then we seen the waitress serve them only and I began to get upset. Another group was seated on the patio after us and it seemed as though they were also about to be served before us and I had to wave the host and let him know that we were ready to be served. I mean we are in 2022... is this a discrimination issue or? Because the host was (seemingly) friendly and when we finally got a waitress she was accommodating as well. I just hate that this was my experience as a first time patron from the Charlotte area who's never experienced that treatment at one of the wonderful options there. I would love to visit again as the food was delicious and very well plated, but I do not expect to have this happen again.

Humble Pie is a terrific restaurant! We started with the tuna tartar, it was SO GOOD! Then the delicious burrata and a fresh green salad with just the right amount of dressing. And then, the AMAZING blue crab claws. I am still thinking about them, the broth was just so good I wanted to slurp it! The charming GM came by to check on us. Service was attentive, atmosphere was really good. I can't wait to go back to Humble Pie!

Step ya game up Humble Pie! Alright so I'm reviewing HP for their brunch. I haven't had their tapas in ages so if you're looking for a dinner rating, skip to the next review. The brunch was disappointing to say the least. We ordered the grapefruit tequila cocktail to start and I should've known to leave when the GRAPEFRUIT cocktail was bland. Like how do you mess up grapefruit. It just tasted like semisweet water with no alcohol. I ordered a mimosa in hopes of a booze savior but alas, watered down OJ with a hint of champagne, in fact, does not do the trick. Save your money for Boxcar's Sunday Funday drinks next door. The food was very "eh". We got the chicken sandwich and the shrimp & grits. The chicken sandwich was boring. No sides. Small sandwich with nothing special on it. The bun looked like it was from Walmart. And the shrimp & grits were a joke. The shrimp had 0 flavor. The grits were a nice texture but didn't taste like anything. There was a tomato sauce on top that got me excited but even that was bland. The staff looked genuinely bored at their jobs, so no points on service. I like the space and the atmosphere, but c'mon Humble Pie, have a decent brunch. If you're going to compete in the warehouse district, good luck. Massive improvements are needed if you want to outshine all of the new developments coming to Raleigh.
