Santa Cruz’s Humble Sea Brewing Just Sailed Into a Historic East Bay Space in Alameda - Eater SF

"Santa Cruz’s Humble Sea Brewing continues its expansion through the Bay Area with a new taproom set to debut in July, the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Humble Sea is completing construction on a new space in the Storehouse Lofts located in Alameda Point at 2350 Saratoga Street and arrives along with a new restaurant and other commercial businesses also set to debut in the historic building. The Alameda spot marks the craft brewer’s fifth location, joining a taproom in Pacifica, a tavern in Felton, plus two locations in Santa Cruz, including a newly-opened Santa Cruz Wharf taproom." - Dianne de Guzman

Bold creative tasty beers. Lots of people like "Socks & Sandals", but the name/image creeps me out. Nice clean bright space inside. Dog area, food truck, and a few dusty picnic tables with umbrellas outside.

A Sea Shanty: Oh, gather ye mates and lend me yer ear... A tavern so grand by the briny sea foam... Where sailors and landlubbers both feel at home! The Bartender ALYSON is so jolly, she pours with great cheer... Churning’ out tall tales with each foamy beer! So hoist up yer tankard, no time to delay, This pub be a treasure—so drink, lads, and stay!

Excited to see the new location in Alameda! Really cuts the commute down to Santa Cruz! Beer was tasty, and the location is great! Great potato area, and they had a food truck setting up to start serving around 430pm on Thursday. Staff was friendly. Excited to make this a regular spot!

Humble Sea is my new fave (for a while now) out here on our little island. Their beer is delicious and wonderfully eclectic. We usually visit on a Sunday afternoon and the staff are always so friendly and helpful.

Humble Sea has a beautifully designed space that is a little small on the inside but with a great big outdoor space as well. Prices were very reasonable and you can build your own flight with half pours. The beers did not set my soul ablaze but they weren’t bad and I imagine someone who likes IPA’s would be ecstatic at the variety. Staff was very friendly as well.

Excited for Humble Sea to join Spirits Alley here in Alameda! Finally got a chance to visit on their 2nd weekend of being open. (We did visit on opening weekend but it was wayyyyy too crowded for us). The inside area has a counter and seating but a touch on the smaller side. (Super cute, shiny and new tho!) Spacious outside seating area but it did get busy quick (we went on a Saturday). Nice selection of beers and friendly staff. Only 2 gender neutral bathrooms. Seemed like there was constantly a line so a bit of fail there. Food pop-up vendors are available until a more permanent food option happens in their outside trailer. Really appreciate the 5oz option for the pours!

We stopped by on a Sunday because we were following the SmackBurger truck but were pleasantly surprised by Humble Sea! The space is very nice with a huge outdoor section with string lights and tons of tables and a nice little dog area. The beers themselves are high quality. I'm a big sour beer guy and they didn't have any fruited sours but they did have their Shoalmates. Its good, very good. Seriously, I wish I picked some up but will have to go back and get more!

I can't recommend this place enough. Sarah was incredibly helpful! I don't know how she can remember all the details about brewing, and the flavor profiles! I ended up trying the IPA and LOVED IT! Go see Sarah when you're in Alameda!
