I came here with a group of friends recently and we had a great time! Located near downtown, Humble Wood Fired Pizzas is in a great location that is very inviting. The ambiance is so fun and we really appreciated all the fairy lights and decorations outside. The ordering is very simple, you order at the counter and they serve your food to you. It isn't really a sit down restaurant, but people still serve you. I found this to be nice as it made the eatery feel very laid back and more enjoyable. The service is good and the staff is very friendly. They are definitely on top of things, keeping the restaurant clean, and customers satisfied. The interior has a unique, rustic feel to it. I liked the dimmed lights as it added to the ambiance. The food is a little pricier, but you are paying for high quality dishes. The portion sizes are decent, although the pizzas are only 10".
Now for the food. One of my friends and I ended up ordering are own salads and split a pizza. She ordered a small Caesar, while I ordered the large house salad with chicken, and we split the Bianca pizza. My other two friends split the Margarita pizza. The food doesn't take too long to come out, roughly 10 minutes at max. Our salads came first, mine took slightly longer because I added chicken to it. The caesar included romaine lettuce, housemate croutons, grated parmesan, and a cashew caesar dressing. My friends both enjoyed their Caesar salads noting that they had a lot more flavor than your traditional caesar. The house salad includes local organic mixed greens, red cabbage, shredded carrots, sliced almonds, sunflower sprouts, and a green goddess dressing. I really enjoyed this salad and thought the various greens and sprouts added a nice flavor to the dish. I added chicken to it and it paired very nicely with the other flavors of the salad. The dressing was also very good and tangy. The pizzas are all handmade and cooked in a wood fired burning oven. The Bianca includes herb infused olive oil, ricotta, roasted garlic, arugula, mozzarella, and parmesan. this pizza was really good and all the various cheese balanced each other out nicely. The ricotta was creamy, the parmesan was sharp, while the garlic and basil enhanced the pizza. The crust was cooked perfectly as well. A very good pizza! My other two friends also really enjoyed their Margarita and liked the freshness of the sauce and basil.
Overall, I would recommend Humble Wood Fired Pizzas for lunch or dinner. They are such a fun environment and it is a perfect place to meet up with friends to hang out. They offer a nice variety of pizzas, salads, and appetizers. While it is pricier, you are paying for quality. The atmosphere is so fun and we really enjoyed the location. There is parking available as well. I cannot wait to return and explore more of their menu!
