Unwelcoming, Unfriendly, and Frankly Disturbing Experience
I really wanted to love Humble Park House—it looks like a charming, family-friendly spot on the surface. But the experience we had was anything but welcoming. From the moment we walked in, the woman working there seemed more interested in policing us than helping us. It felt like she was watching our every move, especially my toddlers—who, by the way, are three years old and very well-behaved.
Rather than offering any assistance or even a smile, she hovered and stared like we were doing something wrong just by being there. Anytime my kids even glanced at something, she was quick to make a passive-aggressive comment or motion for them to “put it down,” even when they were just calmly looking. The whole vibe was incredibly uncomfortable and honestly bordered on hostile.
This isn’t how you treat people—especially families walking into what’s supposed to be a welcoming space. I don’t know if it was personal, or something else, but the energy was off and even felt racially tinged. I left feeling disrespected, judged, and like we were never meant to feel welcome there in the first place.
Would not recommend this place to anyone with kids—or anyone who expects even basic decency and kindness.
