Clean atmosphere and friendly staff. Had a nice lunch with my mom. Falafel was a little hard but the taste was good. The Lebanese Cauliflower was yummy. Quick and easy vegetarian options for lunch. Love that the tables have stamps where they were handcrafted and from what. The table we sat at was a bowling lane in a previous life.

Food was fresh and tasty. Great portion size too, absolutely worth the price! I definitely plan to return to this spot.

My favorite chain for a quick, healthy and satisfying meal. I love falafel, it's one of my top comfort food, so any place that offers nice falafels gets thumbs up from me. For less than $12, you get 5~6 large falafels, one choice of hummus (I picked mushroom hummus this time) plus two substantial sides (beat-root salad and babaganoush this round), and your choice of toppings and sauce. Oh and a warm pita bread too. I could barely finish everything. The place is clean and orderly, the waiting staff friendly and efficient - they have to be, coz there was a long line of lunch rush customers.

Delicious food and the staff was very friendly! The falafel is fresh and the hummus shake is creamy and really tasty! I was pleasantly surprised on how good the hummus shake was* It was better than I imagined! They let you sample the original hummus shake flavor.

Nothing is fresh, pita is like rubber, do yourself a favour, don’t taste this place.

The large bowl is a pretty bowl good value, 2 sides along with a pita and fill up the bowl up with lettuce, tomato, olives, peppers... Very satisfying meal. Efficient assembly line process while ordering. Online orders bypass the line for pickup. Levelup and Mealpal apps accepted.

I like this place I have been there a couple of times their food is really good although I only tried the non-vegetarian items so I can only tell about how they Shawarma. They stick their chicken taste like amazing income Harrison to other Shawarma places they are little bit pricey and this particular location the closest super early, which is convenient, try to be open at least 9 PM.

Stopped by to pick up lunch. Service was friendly and helpful with suggestions for the different options to build your own platter. There is a seating area if you want to eat in but I opt out for to go. I found the food to be salty. One of my coworkers loves this place but I'm not sure I'll come back.

Goated, food is very good. I always get the Spanish eggplant and Israeli salad, whole wheat pita, chicken shawarma. Stop complaining about the prices, it's well made and delish. The service is fast and vibes are good.

It sells exactly what the name of the places says it sells. I ordered a chicken laffa and a side of falafels off of DoorDash. I certainly got that order. The falafels were good, the sauces were nice (I got tzatziki and tahini) but the tzatziki had an interesting aftertaste that wasn't necessarily my speed, and the laffa was nice. Unfortunately the chicken I got was still pink inside and it would be an understatement to say it was undercooked. Some pieces of chicken were cooked through and it was good. Nice flavor, but other pieces were definitely still pink and very chewy. Had to spit those out. Otherwise, good shop, good falafels, definitely recommend the vegetarian options in case the chicken is a bit undercooked again.

Got the vegetarian bowl with baba ganoush, beans, Spanish eggplant, and tabbouleh. Very tasty, well spiced for the most part. I think the baba ganoush was the least interesting of the 4 but still good. Items worked out well together when I ate with the pita. My bowl was maybe 2/3 filled at the end of the order which caught me off guard a bit, but it was still a good amount of food. Was comfortably full after eating. Might try a mini bowl next time. Will say I agree with the other reviewer about feeling of feeling rushed even though the place was empty. I felt like they expected me to already know my order coming in. Thankfully I had skimmed the menu prior to going so I had an idea of what I wanted Overall I liked this place, would come back.

I stopped by for the first time for lunch. I had a bowl With chicken rice and salad. The places was clean and the server was friendly and helpful. The chicken I had was good, but I wish it had a little less char as some Parts of the chicken was burnt. I have no complaints I will def come back to try other things on the menu.

Hummus be joking. Out of the people responsible for product and pricing, someone has a bad sense of hummus. Whatever tune they're humming, they should hummus another tune because I take pita on anyone that eats here. No, but. I don't like the confusing pricing here. They have all this stuff sitting out all day and you basically have to pay a ton to add any of it to your already expensive sandwich. At Mamoun's the same concept - except basically that they just shove everything in your Pita - even the extra stuff - without even charging you an extra dime. This place you could easily end up having a $20 sandwich if you wanted to have a little bit of everything. I found it pretty disgusting. And the gyro meat was extremely dry and old and the chicken didn't look much better but I didn't get a chance to try the chicken. I probably never will. More like the Hummus And Pity. I was not a big fan at all to put it mildly. It's kind of like a Chipotle with Middle Eastern food but it's kind of fake Middle Eastern food, and the prices are higher than Chipotle. Way higher. Without being *that* much better. Can't stand Chipotle btw. Nothing really tasted too great to me and some of it wasn't even fresh. So it wasn't really my favourite.

After thinking about it for 24 hours, I am sorry to state that my 3 star review is going to stick. I was invited to come back by the manager (nice man by the way) to try it again, and I hate to say it but the experience remains the same. It is not a bad meal, but it is not a great meal. I tried the gyro meat and Turkish meatballs and both were solidly mediocre. They were not bad, but the flavor is just okay. I also found their grape leaves to be just okay too. The Laffa they make is pretty good, that much is true. For a quick pita bite this does well, but I think the speedy service compromises the quality of a good product. The potential is there though.

Came here for dinner with a friend since we were in the neighborhood. Wish there were more locations in the city! Absolutely delicious and filling. You have the option of getting a pita, laffa, bowl or platter. I had the steak platter which came with a side of hummus & pita and whichever toppings you want. The steak was delicious and flavorful. I had it with the chimichurri sauce and it was the perfect combo. The portions were huge and definitely worth the $13+. Only problem I had was with the server that helped me. He was rushing me when there was no one else there and I couldn't hear him at all with the loud fan running in the background. Will definitely return for the steak though!

The first time I entered the doors, I found the line was forming close to the door. Thinking Hummus would be like Chipotle with the expectation the line would move quickly, I decided to wait. and wait.. and wait... The food was moving quickly, but the line was stagnant. Then I discovered the staff was preparing a catering order. In the middle of lunch hour? Seems like poor planning. Nevertheless, I ordered "The Greek". Ohh my goodness! Definitely worth the wait! This wrap is gigantic and oversized. I unraveled it and ate it like a bowl since it was so huge. I came back a couple days after and ordered the same and yes the same monster sized wrap was served. The Greek does not disappoint! Note, ask for light sauce or sauce on the side or your wrap will be filled with white soup.

Service is decent but the meats were tough. The veggies were good, so for those I'll be back.

One of my favorite food chains that is somewhat healthy depending on what kind of diet your on. Their gyro meat is delicious and the chicken Shwarama is tender and tasty. I would recommend the corn salad and hummus but the meat is where it's at in my opinion. Depending on the time and day, the meat is usually tender and juicy especially during lunch and dinner hours. There are tons of sauces and well but I always go for the tzatziki sauce which is delish.

Get the hummus shake! I usually don't write reviews for fast food/chain places, but this is a really nice spot for a solid, filling shake. Grabbed one for lunch with a falafel pita (on the dry side--definitely needs some sauce and the line was way to long to wait for some). Would come back for the shake. It's super thick and creamy but seemingly healthy. Dates, chickpeas, almond milk, cinnamon.

I still think this is a really solid hummus place, pita allotment issues aside. Their mushrooms hummus is still freakin delicious, and who can have hate against a Mediterranean salad? I'm mainly here to update on their juice situation, which needs to be spoken about. They carry juices from Pure Greens and they're delicious! Both the Pure Greens original and the Soul Kick are real winners. In terms of a place that doesn't compromise healthy choice for taste, this place nails it. The food won't necessarily blow you away, but you will leave happy, full, and feeling good about yourself. The menu is also highly customizable, not just in terms of how you want your fillings delivered (pita, bowl, laffa, platter, or just a side) but also in terms of sizes. It allows you to get a little bit of everything you want, however you want it.

Our office had catering from Hummus & Pita and it was delicious. Unfortunately, we had to wait for our meeting to end before getting to the food, so the falafel wasn't as crispy as it was intended, but it was still great! The baba ghanoush was great, and they had these purple olives!

I highly don't recommend  this place at all. These people are very rude at speaking to the customers & giving your order. They had a child running back & fort behind the counter. The man serving was yelling at me because I asked him to place the hummus in a container. He tells what a waste you suppose to tell me ahead. I told to place the hummus in the container so he didn't need to throw it out. I told him I'm not from here and see all the orders in front of me have hummus in containers. Asked for the Manager, a lady reply said she was. I told her what happened in her store & she was next to him helping the orders. She didn't say much about his behavior. Than he yelled to a guy, "yoo bro speak up, hurry up!"  He brings my pita drnk with straw inside leaking drink all over the top. I ask the lady, " can I have a different cover with straw, I am traveling and it's leaking." She takes straw trashed it and puts foil on top. I think request for lid please. She handles to him he comes back shovels it to her rolls his eyes at me. I request a straw. He than sighs at loud I asked him treat your customers better. Very long wait and lines they had a 4 year old there with them playing and climbing on stuff while they worked & bad customer care.

I would give it 3.5 stars, but based on what I ordered it wasn't worth 4 stars. Delivery was pretty quick, and the food was pretty good. The pita falafel sandwich was good but it could've used more hummus. Even with the extra side of tzatziki, it was a little dry. The tabouleh was also good but had the opposite problem. After mixing it, it was still watery at the bottom. There were no problems with the spanakopita, I should've ordered two because I liked it and was still a little hungry. I'll be ordering from here again but I'll also try other places to see how they compare.

All I have to say is YUMM YUMM!!! So far EVERYTHING i have tried here is DELICIOUS!! The food taste fresh and the place is very clean considering it being on a very crowded street in NYC. Prices are reasonable considering the amount of food you get. I had a terrible experience with the HUMMUS PITA App however Lauen the manager took care of it and provided an amazing dish. I definitely and highly recommend this spot to eat and will be going as much as i possibly can.

It was totally worth 10 minutes walk to come here during lunch. It was pretty empty at 12 PM on a weekday. I ordered a falafel bowl with pita. The falafel was still piping hot when we went back to the office. I liked how crunchy they were. Pita was chewy and tasty.

Hummus, pita and Tzatziki sauce for a quality lamb gyro $9.55 where the meat is traditional hung and slowly cooked on a vertical rotisserie. Finally the meat is cut as whole slabs rather than bits of pieces which I personally prefer close to authentic Greek. I love pita bread and their pitas are pocket style for inner stuffing which is somewhat small and overstuffed. Price is expected for quality fresh hummus, falafel, gyro, shawarma and all things cuisine Mediterranean. I have a predilection for original hummus and pitas - either together or separately. This location is in the Financial District and their ordering queue is very organized from starting to choose the base, breading options (pita, laffa, bowl or platter including plain or whole wheat), vegetables, toppings and sauces and lastly checkout at the register in this respective order. Production for order fulfillment takes longer than the actual order placement and checkout which makes sense to place orders first and payment is last. Checkout for payment is last which allows for greater queuing efficiency. Queuing is an art as business owners make adjustments for efficiency and less frustration to customers. The production line is efficient and moves moderately like a well oiled machine. Their menu is very extensive with many options and is printed on paper without straining your eyes to lookup on a wall. A one-time splurge for a lavish lunch of $9.55 plus sales tax is surely a one time thing for fast casual. Hummus & Pita is a step above fast casual but certainly not fine dinning.

Not authentic and not tasty. The Mediterranean rice is more like Spanish yellow rice. The Spanish eggplant is extremely salty and inedible. The chicken shish was dry.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. I ordered the falafel bowl with a side of tabbouleh and grape leaves (minibowl) through Ritual. Had a discount so that was pretty nice (paid only $3.11). Would have paid $8.15, a little pricey. I had better pita. The place is very casual, nice for a quick bite. Overall my meal was tasty. I would come back for my falafel fix.

The staff were nice and friendly - no problems there. The price was REALLY decent for a huge plate of food here in NYC too. Too bad those are the only good things...and I will not be back. :( If any of you know Nish Nush (only a block away) - this is NOTHING like it. Thought I would try this place and save a few bucks as something similar to what I got would easily be 50% more at Nish Nush. As they say, cheap is dear, though. The falafel were super teeny, extremely hard, overcooked, and a bit greasy. A HUGE fail for me. Glad they offer it as an option but the Vegan baba ghanoush, I believe, is just a very dry hummus cut with other stuff into it - it tasted nothing like eggplant or baba ghanoush to me... The "fried eggplant" is really just huge pieces of eggplant literally swimming in a pool of oil - GROSS! If you really LOVE greasy fast food and literally just eating whatever whenever this place may work out for you. But if you believe that food that is also fast can also be made well, cooked properly, and taste great - totally walk another block over to Nish Nush. There - you will NOT be disappointed. PS - not a problem for me, but if you want to pay with Cash - you will totally be out of luck here as it is not an option.

I've had a recent obsession with middle eastern food, and hummus & pita co has been THE spot to fulfill my cravings to the point where I was practically going a couple times a week. Their set-up is sort of chipotle-esque where you tell them what you want in your bowl, pita, or laffa. The fill-its are limited according to what base you get, but the toppings are unlimited. My go-to order is always the falafel bowl, with hummus, Israeli cous cous, Spanish eggplant, and whatever toppings I'm in the mood for. It may not sound like a lot of food, but trust me, It's a LOT!!! Everything is so tasty, but I'm like obsessed with their Israeli cous cous, and the Spanish eggplant is soooo good. Geez, I'm craving it as I write this review. And it even comes with either a white or whole wheat pita bread. If you ever pass by, I highly recommend stopping by and make sure to try the Israeli Cous Cous and Spanish eggplant. You won't be disappointed. And if you have a student ID, make sure to show them and get a discount.

Solid lunch choice, fast and with the right selections can be pretty healthy. It really is like a Mediterranean Chipotle, and I appreciate the plentiful options! I usually go for a bowl and they give you A LOT of food. I tried a chicken mini bowl today and it was just right - you still get pita and two fill-ins with that, and as many toppings as you desire! Prices are decent for the amount and variety of food. The only complaint, as in a couple reviews before, is that the meat really was pretty greasy, with a big pool of oil setting on the bottom of my bowl. A little bit of a turn off and made me feel heavy and groggy - not ideal when you have to get some work done after lunch!

Came in a few minutes before closing, but the cashier still assisted me and told me I can stay with my family, food was amazing and staff was super friendly and helpful, will definitely return !!!

For this place, I feel like it's a food porn for middle eastern food. It's so good and I usually have hard time to decide what I want. I want to eat everything! It's so dangit delicious! I can eat here every day but I know my paycheck won't be able to support my addiction. It's a little pricey for a gyro sandwich or a platter. I love their Turkish eggplant and beet salads, it's two of the things I drool over it. The vegan baba ganoush is pretty good! Gyro and meat they cut or cook can be a little dry, just have to ask them not to over cook it. Falafels are good, can be on a little dry side. Again you have to remind them not to over cook it. It's common for middle eastern places to over cook falafels, I'm unsure why they do it. The hummus are fresh, can't beat that. If you happen to be in the area and want to splurge yourself, you should go here!

Got the falafel bowl. Not as good as some of my other favorite Mediterranean spots like Cava and Nish Nush but it is such a big portion for a great price point (just under $10)Also tried the original hummus milkshake. Definitely not a replacement for a real milkshake but it was thick and did satisfy my dessert craving. Also had lots of seating for a nyc fast casual spot.

Pretty solid lunch spot in TriBeCa. I've never been disappointed every time I paid a visit here. I'd recommend Hummus & Pita if you're looking for something that's not too heavy, but also pretty filling at the same time. They offer platters here, as well as smaller eats such as the falafel pita. Their pitas are always toasty and falafels are fried until golden perfection. The staff were courteous and efficient and this is one of my go-to spots in the city for whenever I am craving hummus. Highly recommended!

I been going to this place for a long time. I went to get lunch today and told the guy that I wanted the small bowl and he told me "it's mini." In a rather sharp tone. It doesn't matter what you called it . If you can't be nice then you shouldn't be there. Besides that I noticed on a few occasions that the food quality has changed. The roasted Moroccan potatoes, for instance? Had this rather earthy, rather to the point like the potatoes were bad taste. The cauliflower was tasteless. I can go on. This one place has hat won't be getting my business.

Walked in at around 7:30pm on a Wednesday and I was the only customer. All the staff was busy preparing for a group takeout order and nobody acknowledged me. I got a bowl with regular hummus + steak + moroccan beans + carrots + all the free toppings + tahini + whole wheat pita. It was a lot of food. They had gyro and chicken on spit grills and shawarma and steak were sitting in bins. The steak tasted a bit old and dry, but all the sides were absolutely delicious. I must warn you that the harissa and shug here are ridiculously spicy. It's the level of spicy that makes me feel opiate and turns the entire world into a haze. I honestly wish they tone the spice level down a little, but it was probably my fault that I asked for heaping scoops of both. I am only giving this joint 4 stars because of the generous portion. I don't think H&P Co. trains its staff to scoop out consistent amount of food as Chipotle does. As a result you usually get more food than you may expect, which is a great thing. Service is neither rude nor friendly but simply nonchalant. The staff can get impatient if you take too long to make decisions. Just ignore their stare and take your time. There are takeout menus at the door.

Walked in here based on the 4 star rating of the restaurant. Ordered the chicken shawarma bowl with brown rice, spanish eggplant and plain hummus. The chicken meat was a bit dry, but just tastewise it was seasoned well. The spanish eggplant was cooked with spices and was mushy. It tasted like salsa mixed with eggplant, not bad. But the identity of the eggplant was totally lost as it was too mushed into the spice/sauce. For me the biggest disappointment was the hummus, it didn't taste fresh or tasty (maybe I will try the spicy one next time?). Also, the ratio of the items on the plate was off - too little rice, too much hummus, too little meat. Also, the food was cold. This could be a great spot to grab a decent valued, relatively healthy, decent tasting and quick lunch between lunch break at work. However, based on my experience, I don't think its the spot to try on your night out.

Solid fast casual Mediterranean place. The bowl is a tremendous amount of food and comes with a huge piece of either white or whole wheat pita bread. I had chicken and I had a feeling that some pieces were freezer burnt because they had a hard consistency. The original hummus was yummy and the sides were also enjoyable. Some of the staff was not so friendly and made me feel so rushed even though there was no one waiting behind me. Overall, it's a decent lunch spot but I prefer Noon for friendlier service and better chicken.

Was very excited when i saw hummus and pita started delivering from grub hub.. oh was i wrong. Ordered delivery and after 1 hour (25 minutes after the supposed delivery time) i called to check on my order. They said it was on its way... another 30 minutes pass still no food. I then called back and the person working answered the phone "yes" very nasty as if i was bothering her day or stopping her from eating during her lunch break. I was then transferred to the manager that kept telling me well the food was delivered even tho it wasn't. She not once asked how she good fix the situation but insisted that the food was delivered

Service was mediocre. I got a falafel Pita. They put the harissa right on the top in a dollop so concentrated all the spiciness in one spot. The pita on its own either was not that flavorful.

Great quality food for an excellent price. The wide variety of options makes it possible to find something for everyone. Garlic sauce is rich and delicious. Falafel is nice and crunchy.

Great spot, love the variety of sides to go with your falafel, shawarma, and gyro sandwiches and bowls. Although I will say there have been times where I had cold shawarma and gyro, usually when I swung by after a lunch rush was over. Great hummus selection as well, including hummus desserts! They offer white and wheat pita breads, though a few times I have had deliveries without them when ordering a bowl, but the bowls themselves were large enough, that I didn't mind overall. The only thing I avoid buying here are the bottled juices, I just find them too pricey for my personal preference (up to $9 for a bottle!)

I love coming here for lunch when I'm in the mood for falafel! They are usually really busy around lunch time so be prepared to be in and out in about 30 minutes more or less. They have an app now where you can order online so I suggest doing that about 20 minutes before you go on lunch so you can just go and pick it up instead of having to wait. My usually is a falafel pita ($6) which comes with hummus, the choice of one filling such as rice, quinoa, salad, fried eggplant, etc and unlimited toppings such as lettuce, tomato, cucumbers, feta, olives, etc and once sauce. If you want more than one filling its $1 extra and more than one sauce is $.50 extra. I usually add on sweet potato fries ($4) because they're delicious and I love sweet potato fries. The prices are reasonable for the area and the portions are filling. Everything is flavorful and filled with seasonings. I definitely recommend this place if you're in the mood for some great Mediterranean food.

In regards to my initial review, I have to change my rating to a four star after eating falafel at a few other places in Manhattan. Hummus and Pita is still awesome, falafel is amazing and all the side dishes are delicious. However, given that I've recently had falafel that surpassed Hummus and Pita and quite possibly was the best of my life, I have to honestly change my rating here to a 4. H&P is still my go to though!

This place is pretty close to my job. I went after work. There was no line. They have some decent vegetarian options. The vegan pickings are a little slim. I was told the rice is cooked with butter - lame. See manager update that the rice doesn't contain butter. I think they should label their vegan options. So I stuffed my pita with all veggies - no grains. I like that you can add as many toppings at you want. Similar choices of a street cart, but with seating, restroom and possibly better quality food. Service was really good, probably because there wasn't a line. The staff seemed pretty knowledgeable about the ingredients which is a plus.

Can't go wrong here with a huge plate of fresh, perfectly cooked meat and every salad, veggie topping and sauce you can imagine. The chicken breast and thighs are delectable and make me drool. Add as many toppings as you want - something I love and something you can rarely get anywhere else. NOMNOMNOMN

Tried a few other items on this menu since my last review, and none disappointed. I also think I am totally in love with their hummus. Portions were still huge, flavors were all there, and the delivery was quick the second time around. The staff at the store were very friendly and helpful when I dined in as well.

just went for lunch, falafel was not too bad, crisp and flavorful but a bit salty, hummus was ok, a bit on the heavy side. I just didn't like the red cabbage at all, flavorless and still has the bitterness. prob won't go again.

H&P Co is my favorite falafel in the city. Let's face it, even the tastiest falafel are too often sold from dirty restaurants. This place is CLEAN and transparent. $6 gets you a falafel on a pita (white or whole wheat) 1 fill it (like a side dish, but stuffed in the pita) and as many toppings as you can fit (feta, olives, red cabbage, lettuce, pickles, etc etc). Their sauces are creamy and tasty without being too vinegary. They have unlimited fountain drinks, which makes or breaks my decision select a lunch spot, because I tend to drink a lot of club soda/diet Coke. Clean space, fresh ingredients and unique delicious food all combine to make this place my favorite lunch spot.

It's basically the chipotle of shawarma, except maybe better. Except maybe not and I just don't like chipotle that much because I'm from california and I'm a burrito elitist and if I was from NYC i'd be a shawarma elitist and would not like this place and write long run on sentences. The portions are generous.

Like mostly everything else in TriBeCa, a watered down, innocuous version of the original, real thing. I mean, they have most of the items I could ask for in a Middle Eastern joint if I came up with a laundry list - gyro, a variety of mezes, sauces. But sadly nothing tastes even a hair above average. Think of what Chipotle is to real Mexican food. This is not that good. The gyro was too spongy and oily, like hotdog meat almost. The tabouli did not have enough lemon juice. The olives tasted a little funky. The tzatziki sauce was way too thick. The spicy eggplant was just meh. In more culinarily sophisticated parts of town, this will get a solid three stars. For the decor. And assembly line style efficiency. A lot of other people seemed to like it. Maybe they have yet to try authentic good Middle Eastern food? This place is setup like a Chipotle, except for Middle Eastern food - shawarma, hummus, falafel, baba ganoush, etc. Despite the steam table setup, the food here tasted very fresh. The lamb was very soft, juicy and tasty. The hummus is not bad either - very creamy tasting. They have different sides to choose from. The chickpea salad was not a bad choice. This is definitely a good place for a quick and filling lunch.
