Wife found this gem while in the area. I was somewhat hesitant at first but we just went for it, glad we did. It’s inside the Chinese market place (I assume). Plenty of parking 🅿️- Free. I think this is a family restaurant which is a huge plus for us as we enjoy supporting family owned businesses. As you walk in you realize this is where local Chinese people come. We sit at place of our choosing and our server was quick to come get our drink orders. We also ordered fried egg rolls, fresh, hot and delicious. Wife also had the spicy soup and I had the egg drop soup, both small bowls are good enough. She enjoyed her spicy soup although didn’t know what was all in it lol. The egg drop would was not watery and plentiful. As main dishes wife enjoyed the chicken mushroom and had it made spicy l, she really enjoyed it, lot of food for sure and served with white rice which was perfectly prepared. I had the beef & broccoli, absolutely loved it, very flavorful with a lot beef within the dish, also came with white rice. Would highly recommend stopping by for some great Chinese food and supporting a local business. Can’t wait to return.

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Unsafe and Disrespectful We had a terrible experience here. Despite letting the staff know we had a pregnant person and two young children in our group, they allowed indoor smoking — which is not only illegal but incredibly inconsiderate. The staff openly laughed at us when we mentioned the law, simply because the smokers were their “regulars.” That alone was enough to make us uncomfortable and want to leave. But it got worse. We ordered 13 dishes and received only three after waiting a long time — and then found out they had accidentally given our food to another table that arrived after us. We ended up waiting 45 minutes for just the third dish, and the fourth never even came. They also had a party of around 30 people across multiple tables, all regulars, and it was clear they couldn’t handle the crowd. When we finally asked for the check — three or four times — they kept stalling and trying to bring more food instead of acknowledging the delay or mistake. And to top it all off, they tried to charge us for dishes we never received. This was a truly unprofessional and disappointing experience, but the most upsetting part was the complete disregard for our health and comfort with the indoor smoking. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially families or those expecting a safe, respectful dining environment.

The food that I tasted was good. Just never got the dish I ordered delivered to the table. When I tried to get the waiters attention me and my husband were repeatedly over looked. Drinks are limited and come in a bottle. The restaurant was clean and neat just not what you would expect if you’re going to pay 20 or 35 for a plate.

Love this place. Lots of vegan options. Lots of flavor. We usually get mapo tofu, kung pao tofu. They also have salt and pepper tofu, sesame tofu, and many other vegan dishes. The scallion pancake, cucumber salad, fried spring roll and sesame balls are also delicious dishes that we frequently get. The prices are great too! Lunch special filled us up for $11 each plus we had leftovers to take home. The restaurant is always very clean and a lovely atmosphere.

Our family ordered 13 dishes total around 8pm but only 3 dishes were served by 9pm because there were a large party of over 30 people before we sat down. We understand that business can get busy with large parties so we patiently waited. I have never been to a restaurant where customers are allowed to smoke in a fully enclosed space with children and pregnant women dining inside. The problem was brought up to the servers, and cashier but they just smirked and did not care to ask who seemed to be regular customers to put out their cigarettes. We asked for the bill because we cannot bare the smoke inside the restaurant. The cashier tried to charge all 13 courses when we only received 3. I have never experienced such disorganized, terrible service, and lack of consideration of others in a restaurant.

This is the best Chinese food in Oklahoma. But it's more than that. I can't stop thinking about how good my dish was. My husband and I seek out restaurants across the country to try their Dan Dan Noodles, chili oil dumplings, and whatever new dish we come across and we have never been somewhere with so much flavor.

I went to this restaurant on a Saturday night and we had the worse experience ever. We had 7 adults and 2 kids (one adult was pregnant) at the table. The restaurant was packed and some of their regulars started smoking cigarettes inside. We complained to the employees but they didn’t care because those regulars were big spenders. We told them, we have a pregnant lady and 2 kids and they shouldn’t allow people to smoke. The employees smirked at us. We asked for the check even though we only received 3 out of the 13 dishes. They wouldn’t give us our check and insisted we stay since the rest of the food was cooked already. We made a big scene and they finally agree to give us our check but they wanted to bill us for all 13 dishes. They said the rest of the dishes were coming out shortly but totally ignored why we wanted to leave in the first place. We told them it’s illegal for people to smoke inside a restaurant, but that fell on deaf ears. This is America, not China. We will be contacting the health department on Monday. Do not support this business!

Yelp
OK folks - the food is amazing. Our server was kind and helpful. She confirmed all of the items we ordered before heading to the kitchen. Dig it. It was our first time in this restaurant so we decided to sample a few items. The vegetable fried rice arrived as a mountain on a plate... Lol but it was absolutely delightful! We shared a small bowl of the hot and sour soup. Medium firm tofu - the broth was thick and flavorful. Pan fried pork dumplings were scrumptious. Just a heads up- you'll need to give the bathroom door a solid yank to get in. M/F share the same space. It was an absolute delight and we will return.

Yelp
Hunan cuisine would be good for a group to dine in family style where each person would order an item to share. Even though the portion size could have been bigger; it's on the smaller side. Came in and ordered 3 dinner entrees: Hunan style stir fried pork, spicy pork ribs which came out looking like salt and pepper pork ribs, and stir fried pea shoots with garlic which came out looking like dry fried green beans. The waitress must have gotten two orders mixed up or something. We were confused. The food was good. There are definitely other Chinese restaurants in OKC with better food though. I liked the salt and pepper pork ribs the best. The Hunan style stir fried pork was good, just too much oil. My friend said the dry fried green beans were too overgrown, something I didn't notice. Not sure if I have really found something that I loved at Hunan Cuisine. The food was good, just not really very memorable. I have not tried their lunch specials which hopefully would be cheaper and faster because dinner did take some time to come out.

Yelp
The moment you walk in, you are met with an incredibly clean space. It has a bit of a home-y feel while still being relatively elegant. Food was outstanding and the portions were very generous. My wife got the braised pork and I the pineapple fried rice and we shared their fried pork buns, and steamed pork buns. Our daughter also had plenty to choose from. The service was solid, so it's very hard to understand why this place wasn't busier than it was. Beginning to end I had no notes on where an improvement could be made. We are adding this to the rotation of our regular date-night locations

Yelp
Talk about authentic food! Hunan Cuisine is a hidden gem for most if you are looking for authentic Chinese food. Their menu has so many options it's a little overwhelming but luckily they have pictures. Be prepared to see some unusual dishes but do t be afraid to try them.

Yelp
Amazing food (especially of the spicy variety) at very reasonable prices. First night I went ai got the spicy braised beef noodle soup, chili oil dumplings and the egg drop soup - all of it was fantastic. Second time I went with my friend Tony we ordered the cumin lamb, General Tsao's chicken, spicy cold noodles, pan fried dumplings, pineapple fried rice (I know a lot but all worth it) and brown sugar rice cake dessert - they also generously provided complimentary grass jelly desserts which were delicious. The herbal tea can drinks were also great. Highly, highly recommended and they are brand new! (Right next to the Super Cao and where the old Lotus Thai used to be as well).

Yelp
My friends have been here a few times for lunch and it never seems to disappoint. Service is a bit slow and the decor is nothing special really but food comes out hot and is well worth the wait. I'd highly recommend either the Szechwan beef noodle soup or the braised pork noodles-- the meat quality is great with delicious flavors. If you come on a weekday for lunch they also have a very reasonable lunch special for 10.99 that includes soup and an egg roll/spring roll. They have rotating tables (as many places in the okc asian district do) if you want to sit at a big table with your friends and share dishes around.

Yelp
This place is interesting. Since we liked spicy ribs the last time we were here, we ordered again but the presentation & style were different. We prefer the one we had the last time. The beef flat noodles were better this time compared to last. Mongolian beef still good as usual. There was not much service today since they were busy.

Yelp
Food was so authentic and tasted good ! Ingredients appeared to be fresh . This is our new go to Chinese restaurant!

Yelp
Food was very good and they offered an extended menu. I had the Mongolian Beef and it wasn't quite as spicy as I used to, but the meat was more tender. My partner ordered the Sesame Chicken and it was also very good also, but she kept stealing off my plate. Portions were generous and we each ate half and brought home half for another meal. My only criticism was the service. We arrived about 6:30 pm on a Tuesday night. We were the only customers in the place, but there were 5-6 employees visible and talking among themselves. It was at least 10 minutes before a gal brought us menus and took our order. The food did arrive promptly and was steaming hot and fresh.

Yelp
My husband and I came in for lunch. We ordered lunch specials...sweet and sour chicken and orange chicken. The meal was supposed to come with egg drop soup and an egg roll. The one waitress in the place brought my husband's sweet and sour chicken with no sauce. We had to ask twice for the sauce and egg drop soup. The waitress finally brought the soup and we asked again for the sauce. I still don't have my meal at this point. After 15 minutes she brought his sauce. Another 15 minutes and I finally get my food. I didn't get an egg roll. My husband is almost done with his by then. The food was just okay. I've had much better in the metro. We will not be back

Yelp
This restaurant is getting better and better now. There are many new dishes and many more excellent dishes. Moreover, all the employees in the restaurant are very friendly, the service attitude is very friendly, and they will continue to support and taste the food

Yelp
The restaurant has a pretty big funky smell. If you can get past it, the food and service are great. They don't offer beer/wine/cocktails so if you're planning on cooling off those flames you'll need to look elsewhere.

Christopher M.

Yelp
This is a pure restaurant. You come here for authentic food. This is not take away Chinese. They stock fresh infrequent and the ingredients are seasonal. They may not be able to make what you want in winter. Hot and sour soup is a 5/5. Duck seems to be only Sunday, and it's a 10/5. Very good. Beef dishes all seem solid 5/5 from what I've had so far. Hot tea is okay. Not great but it is good enough. The leafs tasted old but the quality of the overall meal was so good I let this pass. Service is fine. Lady doesn't speak fluent English and that makes it kinda fun. I got what I ordered even with my customizations of the menu. This is the most authentic constituent place I have found for real asian food. The server, which has broken English, is great. If you are not used to authentic Chinese food just ask her for what your looking for and they will take care of you. Don't be afraid to ask for spicy, food server hotter, sweeter, etc. They will take care of you if you muster up the courage to talk to the server.

Yelp
Really good authentic Chinese food! I didn't ask for a spice level on my food, and the food had a really nice spice level. The amount is food is very generous. We were able to get two meals out of each entre. We will most certainly be going back! We had a to go order, but the inside was nice and clean.
