"As sons of missionaries in Guadalajara, Joe and David Creech appreciated the intricacies and nuances of Mexican cuisine at a very early age, and that appreciation blossomed during the pandemic when they began making tortillas from scratch using imported blue Oaxacan corn. The result: tacos and quesadillas of the highest order, stuffed with items like veal cheeks or chorizo and potato. But their birria “machete” – a giant tortilla rolled in a spicy beef stew – not only speaks to the Creech’s Jaliscan roots but set the town ablaze (in a good way). Douse the fire with prickly pear margaritas and white wine sangrias, both available by the quart or gallon." - Faiyaz Kara

"Joe and David Creech, the duo behind one of the most popular taquerias in town, didn’t let the coronavirus stunt their growth any. A couple of weeks into the pandemic, the pair began making tortillas from scratch using imported blue Oaxacan heirloom corn. The result: tacos and quesadillas of the highest order, be they stuffed with veal cheeks or chorizo and potato. They’ve recently started serving birria “machete” – a giant heirloom tortilla rolled in a spicy beef stew – that speaks to the Creech’s Jaliscan roots, and has become the “It Dish” of the summer. Good thing their prickly pear margaritas and white wine sangrias are available by the gallon." - Faiyaz Kara

Tacos are not typically my family's first go to when it comes to food. Having lived in Los Angeles for 20 years we've had a lot of tacos from the best that LA has to offer. Hunger Street tacos beats just about any place any LA and made my wife, who generally doesn't like tacos, come back more than once. Make sure you get the hand made hot sauce, it takes the entire experience to another level. We've tried just about all the tacos on the menu and the stand outs for us are the Squash Blossom quesadillas, Rajas Con Crema quesadillas, carnitas tacos, pollo con mile, and el mananero. Whatever you choose you can't go wrong. Definitely stop in and check it out, you won't be disappointed!

The outdoor area is basic, they put a portable ac in their bathroom, the indoor area to order is so small that only like 3 people can comfortably wait in line, but they have their system pretty much figured out with the pickup window and simplicity. Solid menu, slightly weird and unorthodox taco flavors, but they're still good. Some things are so delicious. A lot of the menu you might appreciate fairly to have once, but they're just not going to compare to whatever your favorite item or two or three is on the menu. Solid affordable value, fairly quick, and nice staff. It's more of a to-go place. If you have a large party you might not have a big enough table available. Overall, 4.68/5. If the venue and ordering process was better it would be at least a 4.83/5. I wish they had a slightly larger menu with a few more of their unique flavored semi-satiating type of tacos. They're so delicious, but kinda small, but kinda really stuffed. You always want more, so order like 1 or 2 more things than you expect if you want to be fully satisfied haha.

There's no indoor seating, get over it! The tacos are an absolute sensation!! Service was fast and friendly. The manager toured the room and made sure everyone was happy. The taco fusion was crazy good flavor!!! I gave it 5 stars despite I love my draft beer with my tacos, cans and bottles don't do it for me with such fresh food. But they are actually working on it, hopefully.

I was here on the 7th anniversary of the place. Confusing menu, tables only outside, I explained that it was our first time but whatever, no one can help you understand how it works. My order came all wrong, I didn't like the food, too much fat, the only seasoning was pepper, the lime is so small that I thought I was supposed to eat it all with the taco, there is paper under the food too. The receipt stays with them so you don't have a chance to check what you ordered.

I came here for lunch, we took the food to go. I had the carnitas and suadero. Both were delicious! The hot sauce is very hot but very flavorful. You order your tacos a la carte. I would highly recommend and can’t wait to go again!

Mouthwatering, succulent, and delectable are the only words in the English dictionary that come close to describing our unique experience with this food. As Californians (ethnically Mexican) our most arduous task has been to find great authentic Mexican food like back home. We had honestly given up until we found Hunger Street Tacos. I speak no exaggeration to say that these are the best tacos we have had in Florida. To this day weeks after the wedding on 4/20/2024 we still have family and friends rave to us about the delicious food that day. Even our family from Durango, Guadalajara, and Mexicali, Mazatlan Mexico commented on how amazing the taste was. And the taste of the food was only matched by their amazing service. From their rich, diverse tasting to the wedding day we felt wrapped in support and full of good food. The tacos never stopped until all our guests' bellies were full. If you want great food, amazing service, and a taco coma to remember Hunger Street is the place to be. Our appetites were definitely sated and we will continue to go here for as long as we live in Florida.

It is one of thee best and unique restaurants in town. I love how much the ingredients are fresh with uniqueness compared to other places. I truly enjoyed both times I went there. My favorite item is definitely the nachos. It's also big enough for 2 people. I highly recommend trying at least once.
