Great local sub shop get here early it gets busy during lunchtime but it's worth the wait. We recommend the Steak Bomb sub & Philly Cheese Steak. I was fresh and delicious made as ordered. Chef Kevin did a great job making quick subs during lunchtime.

A hungry bear sub and a cold mango arizona from the cooler will slow down the sun in the race that is the nonstop hustle of the day. Watching a teriyaki chicken grilled in front of you is pure magic. The 4 walls are like the banks of the mighty Misssissippi holding back the constant flow of kindness pouring out of the staff. Time waits for no one, except the man who is partaking in such greatness crafted in the art gallery that is this humble sandwich shop. Every day is independence day when you are liberated from the rigors of this life by the fireworks of flavor that seem to come together in a union ordained by God. I went here countless time in the summer of 2020 and it was the highlight of the day when I would go. I hope the HB staff are doing well.

Just a great, no-nonsense, thoroughly satisfying sub shop serving generous portions at great values. Loved my Tuna sandwich and barely finished my small.

This shop is amazing. used to go to the other location in Kendall but this one is amazing, with tables to sit and eat and a huge variety of selections for chips and drinks. Never disappointed when I come here and Ive been coming here for over 10 years. 10/10 and would recommend this sub shop. Best phillycheesesteak in Miami, HANDS DOWN!!

It's been over 20 years since I had the honey mustard chicken sub and it tasted just as amazing as ever. My husband had the Philly chesse steak and it's the best he's had in Florida.

This place has changed. I got the steak and cheese. Nothing to brag about. The meat was tasteless, cheap quality. Ordered it with extra tomatoes not only did I not get them but they put the meat (hot) on top of the lettuce and tomatoes so by the time you sit to eat it, they are wilted. Also, 2 subs (1 lg, 1 reg) and 2 can sodas ended paying $32 and change. Never again for me.

Amazing place, extremely clean, employees are extremely nice and helpful. They ask you for everything that you want in your sub. Was my first experience at this place and I loved it. The small one had a great size. Very fresh subs they cook it in the moment, the lines at lunch time were big, but these guys rocket they were pretty fast. Thanks to everyone that made my eat time wonderful.

It is a Miami classic !!! Almost as good as the Cuban sandwich. I have been going to hungry bear since I'm in high school. I used to go to their Kendall location next to Miami dade college. I absolutely love all their subs. It is always cook fresh and feel so homemade. Good to have a Miami old classic that I can keep on coming back to.

Immediately after posting this review the owner called me out on it in front of everyone in the restaurant. He called me and idiot. I did not insult him back in return. I had the pastrami foot long with extra meat. $21 is in my opinion too much money to pay for a sub and drink. The Pastrami was shredded. I asked for onions mushrooms and Swiss cheese. I se the onions but only saw one piece of mushroom. The taste is good but there is little value in spending so much money on a sandwich. heck I can buy a steak lunch with all the trimmings for that price.

This sub spot is perfect for a quick lunch. It is in the middle of a shopping center. Be careful with the parking because the spots are really tight in the shopping center. The pro tip is to park in the back. This is the type of place where you place your order get a number and then get called back up for your food. Don't be discouraged if there is a line because it moves quickly. When the number buzzes you can go back up to the front and get a bag of chips and a drink. The place is clean and it is easy to find the flow of the place. I ordered the chicken ceaser sanwhich. I love how they chop everything up and put it on the bread. I liked that they ask you about the toppings and the sauces at the beginning so that you get exactly what you want. Overall, I thought that the portions were a good size, the food was fresh and delicious, but I did end up paying 18 dollars for a sandwich a bag of chips and a soda.

Listen! The other reviews did not lie! This sandwich was so good. The location is right around the corner from my hotel. I went inside to get a sub lunch and it was a whole vibe! There was a group guys dining inside talking, laughing...having a great time! I'm not a cheesesteak person and had a hard time deciding which sub to get. I settled for a large cheese steak and onions. They ask you what you want on the sub and my sub was ready within minutes! My only complaint is I did not receive a receipt. I had to look at my bank activity to determine how much I was charged...$13.11 for a large sub. I DEVOURED that sandwich.

Hungry bear has consistently provided the best subs in Miami since I was a kid. This location is always clean, well lit and well staffed with friendly professionals. Subs are cooked to perfection and ready efficiently. Prices are reasonable. The honey mustard chicken with grilled onions and mushrooms and provolone on white is my personal favorite. Even the salads look delicious. You decide but I guarantee it's going to be delicious!

The food was good. It was a lot of food. I split the steak bomb and chicken sub and both were good. I tend to look upwards when I walk anywhere I eat and I can say that the kitchen ceiling tiles were unfortunately not the cleanest, but as anyone knows sometimes those places taste the best. The service was quick enough, they are BUSY, so please know what you want before it's your turn if possible.

I had the Honey Mustard Chicken Sub and it was really good. It was packed filling. Meaty flavor and has fresh veggies. The buns were good and so tasty too. Great portion size and worth the price. The place has nice setting and very clean. Friendly staff.

Wow, simply wow. These subs are the bomb.com! I've been a life-long sub lover. For a long time enjoyed subs from Subrageous, and have enjoyed Philly Steaks in downtown Philadelphia, so I consider myself an authority on a great sandwich. Where Hungry Bear shines is in it's MASSIVELY MEATY steak sub. I've had quite a few of them for takeout. They arrive fresh, delicious, and hearty. The texture of the steak was so soft and tender, and there was so much of it! One of the highlights of the week for me was eating that glorious sub. Yum. Writing about it makes me want another one. I'm looking forward to it.

Had a fast turn in Miami, so didn't have a lot of time to search for lunch. Came across this sandwich shop, and sure glad I did. One of the best tasting sandwiches in Miami, with speedy service at a very busy lunch rush. Food is very good here, with great prices!

I was in the area and had a taste for a decent sub that was not short on the fixings and flavor. I came across the Hungry Bear through Yelp and after reading the great reviews along with the pics I knew I had to try this place out! I arrive at perfect time which was just a few minutes before the lunch crowd. As soon as I walked in I was immediately greeted with pleasant and quickly notice the cleanliness of the business. Can I say that it was a tough making a decision, but I choose the honey mustard chicken Philly sub! Oh my gosh It was made perfect! No pics because it did not make it home lol. I also ordered my brothers a hamburger bomb and a classic Philly steak sandwich! They were very pleased. I will definitely be back here.. new sub spot!

Stopped by Hungry Bear and ordered two steak and cheese subs. Very disappointed. The subs were tasteless. Not like it used to be.

First time here. Didn't know what to order and asked what their most popular sandwich was. I ordered the honey mustard chicken, my husband the Italian sandwich. Both were fabulous. Would definitely eat here again. Service was fast!

Happened to be near-by and saw the location. Did not know what to expect but it was a unique experience. I never had a hamburger as a sub and trust me the taste was good. The food is made infront of you so that you know is fresh and the temperature is just accurate. There are fountain drinks, can drinks, and chips. Such a remote sub location is worth the visit. Main reason for not getting a 5 is it needs a little upkeep on the tables and the garbage. Understandable that the place moves, but certain things require constant upkeep. Definitely recommending this location for a quick bite while eating in peace.

Unquestionably one of the best sub shops in South Florida is Hungry Bear! My favorite is the Honey Mustard Chicken ...absolutely delicious! The bread is soft and perfect, all the toppings are fresh and always have been received with cheerful staff. I can't say enough great things about this place. I would eat here everyday if I could.... Always looking forward to a Hungry Bear Sub!

The location in front of Miami Dade college is amazing! I went to the Doral location and the quality was below average. I ordered bacon and Turkey.. and got mostly Turkey with almost no bacon. I go ask them for bacon because it literally didn't have much. And I got charged $1.50. I don't typically call out restaurants, but I had to this time.

Sandwiches were good. I tried The Italian cold cut in the buffalo chicken. The buffalo chicken was good with blue cheese. I would like to try the tuna next time. It's definitely a good sandwich they also seem to have a good Philly cheesesteaks. The owner was very nice.

Solid cheesesteak, I would ask for extra cheese next time but the quality is certainly there. One team member dedicated to taking orders resulting in high efficiency and others constantly cooking allowing for a quick order up. Clean tables and friendly atmosphere.

Get the chicken philly! We love the subs here. I always get the chicken philly on white bread with a little Mayo and grilled onions. Sometimes I get fancy and either have it cooked with hot sauce or teriyaki. It never disappoints.

I was expecting a very delicious sandwich given the vibe and how beautiful the subs looked. Unfortunately the cheesesteak was dry and bland.

YUM! I LOVED this! I got the steak sandwich with onions and mushrooms. It was absolutely delicious. I devoured the whole thing. I will definitely be back here! I called and made an order to go. When I got there my sandwich was ready. All of the staff were wearing mask and gloves. Great experience.

Great hole in the wall sub shop, that serves some of the best hoagies and cheesteaks you'll ever have in south florida. Quick service and portions are huge! Ordered the honey mustard chicken sub for myself and I barely was able to finish it. 10/10 would recommend.

A staple in the area for delicious subs! Once you try how these subs are made the big chains subs will never taste the same to again to you. I always get the honey mustard chicken fully loaded and it's always the bomb! They also keep a bunch of options for delicious chips that are not your standard supermarket brands, real flavorful chips. The staff is always on top of their game, super attentive to your order, and quick to get your meal off the grill, Highly recommended!

Tbh I ate one steak and onion sub and the amount of steak on the actual sandwich was massive! Lots of meat which is always good

I had the Teriyaki Chicken sub, the sandwich was incredibly tasty. A great spot if you are in the area of Doral. You can't make a bad choice on the subs the honey mustard is also a favorite. By evidence of my photo, I wanted to dig into my sandwich so fast, I forgot take a photo.

This is the best sub shop in miami! If you haven't been your missing out. Family owned! Customer Service is excellent. The workers which have been there for a while now there stuff and very helpful. They recently remodeled this location! There shirts look great with the logo! The food!!!!! What do you want there menu selection is huge. So much to choose from. This place is in a strip mall so you have to read the signs. We had the Philly cheesesteak and honestly it was really good. There chicken sandwiches seem to be popular as well. Clean and decent prices make this a great lunch spot.

Had the California Chicken with honey mustard and lettuce. Can say this did not disappoint, it was phenomenal. Can't wait to go back again!

I came to this shop many times with a craving for sandwiches. It never disappointed. My stand-by order is the Buffalo chicken sandwich, but the Bomb Burger sub is also excellent. The Buffalo chicken is spicy, but it's very tasty, from the overflow of chicken to the slight tang of the sauce. While the cold sandwiches leave some to be desired at times, the hot ones are spot-on. The service is good, and the fountain drinks are consistent. I always leave satisfied. During quarantine, I found myself craving hot sandwiches a few times and thus found myself here again. The sandwiches are just as great. Although there is more effort involved in taking the sandwiches away, the quality is just the same. This is one of the few places that never disappointed in quarantine. Overall, I definitely recommend trying Hungry Bear. This place has my business for years to come.

I mean I can't franchise this place I would be 9000 lbs in a week!!!! Chicken grilled with a honey mustard infusion served on a sliced hoagie type of bread filled with yummy cheesy goodness and sauces and veggies and can I please have this every day!!!! Forget every other place just eat here!! Listen.... this is a big deal for me because I would never endorse anything from Boston except The Bambino! Full endorsement, with a 10 star review for taste!!! 1 star review for Parking lot but that gives you a solid 5.5 on a scale of 5!!!! I can't say this enough....go eat here. Wanna know how I know this place was good even before I tried it, it's always filled with cops, firemen, the fedex guy, corrections officers, people dressed for an office, people dressed for the outdoors, people dressed for the hospital....so basically everyone is eating here!!!! What else do you need!! Ok ok now the important stuff....GO EAT HERE!!! You will not regret this!!!! They got platters for you no carb, low carb, no bread peeps! They got giant fountain drinks which are just called large. They got a 3 generation team of people running and working this place with pictures of the family on the wall! The sub spot of Miami. Can't ever go wrong with roast beef and cheese toasted. Has always been a go to for a sexy sandwich. Driving all the way from the reservation is a drag but totally worth it.

This is by far the best place ever! I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. My favorites are the buffalo, steak bomb, Cesar (sub or wrap), honey mustard, and bomb burger.

It's a solid local option, but not a destination in itself. My cheesesteak looked bountiful from the top, but was actually very light on the meat and heavy on the roll (which is not house made). Also, a good cheesesteak should have the cheese all mixed up with the meat; here it was just added like a condiment. Not a tremendous value, but a better option than fast food.
