Best Restaurants in London Marginal Seat Harrow East | Eater London

"The name is deceptive, serving neither plaice nor (the small bird) poussin, and this Kenyan-Gujarati restaurant in Queensbury has recently switched its entire menu to veg, with a particular specialisation in that beloved Kenyan-Gujarati snack: chips. The whole world is represented here in fried potato and cassava, from Kenya — chips with a buttery poussin chilli sauce — to India — Masala chips — China — Szechuan chips — and Wales — cheesy chips." - Jonathan Nunn

London Restaurant Recommendations for the Weekend | Eater London

"A small Queensbury café serving Kenyan–Gujarati specialities: 'poussin' chilli sauce with chips, a wide variety of fried potatoes, hearty Kenyan stews with coconut and tamarind, stuffed chapattis, mandazi for mopping up gravies and nostalgic flavours reflecting Kenyan coastal and Gujarati diaspora cooking." - James Hansen

Google
Serves tasty Pizzas & veggie burgers. 13.7.22 Friendly staff serving tasty food. However not enough salad around. 11.7.23 Still not enough salad around & the food is generally tasty. 24.3.24 Tasty food served by friendly staff in a drafty & cold environment . The toilet however needs to be kept clean with toilet paper & 🧻 the use of strong toilet cleansers! 30.7.24 Tasty burger & a pizza which could have been spicier served by friendly staff in a clean environment . All items on the menu are not available at times & the choice of salad is limited. Toilet paper 🧻 needed in Toilet with a good clean of the stained bowl!

We have been visiting formerly known Poussin Plaice years, the quality of Food has gone down Drastically. The place doesn't have Heating for the winter months. Just got Exo chips - any amateur could do better. Extremely disappointed

This is a great place which puts a fun new twist on classic dishes, the use of ordinary chips but with the addition of Indian/Kenyan sauces, spices and vegetables makes them taste really good and it is something very different. The staff were very helpful explaining each chip dish and what's in them etc. The chips tasted as good as you would get in a normal fish and chips place. I also had the homemade vegetable burger and I thought that tasted really good. They've even tried you make you feel like you're in Kenya with the colours, pictures and vibe. I highly recommend.

Google
Amazing restaurant with kenyan specialities like Mishkaki, kachumbari, ugali, sukuma wiki and a lot more! You can also buy halua, achari, mabuyu and some other non food items from kenya. Food was delicious as was the passion juice. The desert surprise was absolutely amazing! All in all, a great place and we will be back!

Yelp
The BESSSSTTTTT! Gathunda Kenyan place in NW London!!! From their variety of chips such as Poussin (super spicy!), to kachumbari (refreshing salad) to the chinese Schezuan Chips (which are ultimately my favourite). Also please do try the Poussion wings, they are absolutely delish!! Fall off the bone, packed full of flavour and spices, it will not dissapoint you. You must be prepared though, the food is hot as in spicy hot! I very much look forward to this place every time I am in the area! Slowly going through their entire menu........ Must try for the kenyans, it will make you feel right at home. And for the non kenyans.... MUST TRY!!!!!
