Husky Stadium

The Husky Stadium is one of the best Venues around for college football! All I saw was a sea of purple 💜 as fans were tailgating all around the stadium eating, drinking, talking and laughing. Once inside the stadium the sea of purple continues with fans pouring in from every direction. Once you reach the higher levels in the stadium there's breathtaking views of the Cascades and Mt. Rainier to the East and the Olympic mountains to the West. There's also a view overlooking Lake Washington and the beautiful city of Seattle! Plenty of options for food including: cheese burgers, fries, BBQ pulled pork, pulled chicken, double smoked bratwurst, fish and chips, popcorn, kettle corn, cotton candy and more! Also plenty of drink options including beer. There is art and history around the stadium including places to buy you're favorite Huskies merch and souvenirs! I had a sensational time as always coming to the Huskies stadium with family,"What a phenomenal place!"

It was a loveable, crazy experience. Attended the football match between Washington and Reutger. The atmosphere was dominated by violet, huskey enjoyed the game and it was simply electric. It was my first live game, thus far seen games on TV only, and experience was unforgettable. Such high energy was infectious.

Husky Stadium is a great venue for football. Although I was there to watch my Buckeyes l have nothing but praise for the facility and the fans I interacted with. It was a loud, I had to put my hearing aids into privacy mode to keep my ears from ringing, but the enthusiastic crowd contributed to a great game day experience. In addition to being a great place to watch a game there are some amenities that set it apart. First I could take a bathroom break during a TV time out, if I tried that in the venerable horseshoe on the banks of the Olentangy I'd have missed most of a quarter. Also the array of food options was terrific, Ivar's clam chowder in a bread bowl and a football game is a hard combination to beat.

The greatest setting in college football - view is incredible, atmosphere is loud and enthusiastic, but respectful. I do find the elevator situation tough because wait times are long and the coordination between operators seems off. I don't recommend the stairs if you sit higher up, the ramp is just fine instead :) Bathrooms are clean, water is warm which is nice during fall/winter. Variety of hard cider and beer. You can do something called sailgating which is exactly what it sounds like. We usually park at the lynwood transit center and take the light rail. Once you get there they all do a great job at herding us all, keeping things moving, and also slowing down the amount of people when needed so as to not overload the escalators. They also hype up the crowd, there is one transit guy in particular who is very exuberant haha. Be prepared to wait a bit on the way home.

First time visitor of Husky Stadium and thought it was pretty dang cool! Our seats were in the nosebleeds but no problem! The switchback path to upper levels are paved and wide making the crowd move along well-spaced and safe. Concessions and bathrooms are plentiful throughout. Thought it was great!

I’m giving this experience five stars, and it’s all because of the fans. Husky Nation showed up loud, proud, and passionate, the kind of energy that turns a football game into a full-blown celebration. From kickoff to final whistle, the crowd was electric, fueling a thrilling Washington victory and making every moment feel larger than life. I sat in the Touchdown Terrace at field level. While it was exciting to be so close to the action, the view was limited and hard to follow plays from that angle, and the replay screens were surprisingly small for a venue of this size. Getting to the stadium was a challenge. I parked in Lot E7, which required a 20–25 minute walk through poorly lit roadways with no signage to guide the way. For an 8 p.m. kickoff, the lack of lighting and direction made arrival confusing and a bit unsafe. For such a prominent university, the stadium itself felt underwhelming. The infrastructure didn’t match the excellence of the institution or the passion of its fans with their spirit, loyalty, and sheer volume.

We were out of towners, so our advice is to plan better than we did & get there very, very early to find parking. Everywhere we tried around the stadium was full even after we asked. We ended up driving around the stadium area for 90 minutes before finding parking a mile away for $50. Next time, we will take public transportation like we did the next day to Lumen Field and on Tuesday & Thursday to T-Mobile Park. Other than the parking, everything else was fine.

Beautiful setting for a college football stadium, right by the water and trees. Good, respectful fanbase and nice atmosphere. Be a lot of fun to see them and Oregon here.

It is appropriately named "The Greatest Setting in College Football" - the views, the fan base, and the decibel level are all top notch! Go DaWgs!

Great college stadium with stunning views of the lake. This stadium is known for its high decibel crowd noise. This is due to the design of the roof effectively trapping the noise. This stadium features a U-shaped design and located right on the shores of Lake Washington. We've attended numerous Husky games have always had a great time. Staff members are cheerful and friendly. Concession stand prices are astronomical, which is to be expected. They do have a solid selection beverages and food. Tailgating and sailgating are time honored tradition at Husky stadium given the promixity to Lake Washington. Getting to the games is now easier with the light rail stop directly outside the stadium. Both Metro and Sound Transit have bus routes near the stadium. The most common strategy is to drive and park near or on University Avenue and walk through the UW campus. This stadium is convenient and a ton of fun.

I absolutely love the light rail #1 line stops and picks up at the stadium and is 14 stops or 46 minutes direct to SeaTac airport with the Mariners stadium stop in the middle. Lines and trains are well managed after a football game. Fast stadium entrance too. Plenty of rest rooms. Loudest crowd of any outdoor sports stadium. Sat in section 108 row 23 on the aisle at the 15 yard line. Three complaints unsafe concourse congestion pregame, poor pricey AraMark food, and the scoreboards were not great for example to see down and distance easily.

Everything about Husky Stadium on opening night, was amazing, we had amazing seats, the place was clean and most importantly... the HUSKIES won!

Incredible stadium and atmosphere. Extremely loud so if you have sensitive ears being ear plugs. Easy access by light rail which stops right in front of the stadium. My personal favorite is riding the dawgboat ran by chinooks. Highly suggest that as the train when leaving can be crazy.

Who doesn't love going to a game at Husky Stadium?! The energy is infectious, the views of Lake Washington are insane, and the tailgating experience is topnotch. I've gone here for games several times over the years with my dad as he's a serial season ticket holder. I've been to a couple of Apple Cups, regular home games, and recently got to attend the UW vs. Michigan game which was a blast. Food and drinks in the stadium are pricey, as to be expected. I hardly eat in here as we tailgate all day and I'm never hungry when I go in so I can't speak to the food too much in terms of taste. They have a decent drink selection as well. All the staff I've encountered has been nice. I forgot my jacket in the stands one time here and a UW student turned it into security for me and messaged me on Facebook after finding my ID and debit card inside (eeeek!) and after seeing his message I turned back around and instantly got my jacket from security with no issues. I'll be honest and let y'all know I don't know too many of the rules surrounding the sport, but it's the vibe and energy that I go for. Already excited for the next time!

The crowed through the main level around section 122 took about 20 min to move 20 feet with everyone pushing. As that was the only spot with that kind of bottle neck perhaps a little crowd control. In section 326 there is a bee hive or something on the roof and all they do is swarm around. And if you're in row 65 there is a giant poll blocking your view of the end zone. All in all the majority of people were friendly but we left before the first quarter even finished

This was my first Huskies game at a stadium, and I don't see how any stadium could be more breathtaking than this one. With views spanning downtown Seattle and Lake Washington, the stadium enhances football games with stunning visuals, fireworks, and the whole experience! The exit and entrance were reasonably efficient, considering the massive crowds of fans. I didn't try the food, but there seemed to be reasonable options. The hot chocolate was delightful on a chilly day! :)

One of the best football venues I've been to. Loud passionate fans. Walk through the beautiful campus to get there and views of the lake just outside the south end zone. Talked to a season ticket holder over over two decades and they dock their boat on the water and go to a restaurant on the shoreline before every game. Great experience.

Fun fact: did you know the first wave in the crowd was at this stadium in 1981? We came here for my first college football game since unfortunately my college didn't have a football team. The stadium is conveniently located close to the light rail station so you don't need to deal with parking. It's also great that on game days the escalators' configurations are changed to make going to and from the game efficient and there are event workers to navigate you. We arrived about half an hour before kick-off and it was pretty quick to get through security. They have requirements for bringing bags in so if you plan on it bring a small-sized clear bag. Like all sports events there were tons of food vendors, stores, restrooms, and of course people. The facilities were pretty clean too. The prices for food were a little absurd (like $6+ for a hot dog) but that's to be expected. We had pretty good seats with a nice view of the field, and there were pads for our seats which didn't seem common looking at the other sections' bleachers. I would say the one thing I'd appreciate is if they had heaters throughout the concourses for those cold days. Other than that you'll get loud crowds, passionate fans, occasionally borderline obnoxious people, and a good time. Hopefully your team will get a W at the end of the game too!

I used the track and field of Husky Stadium as part of practice for the University of Washington women's club rugby team in the autumn of 2011. The track was good for running and the stadium being open to the public was nice as people not part of the team could still come and run stairs while we were practicing. Using the field required in-advance reservation(s). As rugby is a high contact sport with no padding nor helmets, unlike American football which has both, the field was semi-soft for landing when being tackled without padding. I have since learned grass fields tend to be better at cushioning a fall when not wearing a helmet nor padding.

It is no surprise this stadium is consistently voted one of the most scenic college stadiums in the country. Perfectly perched overlooking the beautiful Lake Washington, Husky Stadium is an iconic spectacle itself, aside from the great football games and other sporting events here. The concessions were fantastic, far better than most college stadiums. You can't go wrong with the hot dogs with all the fixings, and the core-warming hot cocoa was perfect for a chilly November day.

A beautiful place to watch football. The food is solid but a bit pricey. I eat a meal and get to the game early. Watching the teams warm up is fun. I may buy a snack, but I get into the games and don't think much about food. If you are in the bleachers I recommend some sort of seat cushion. If you are a fan the Huskies you will love the atmosphere.

Tradition thrives here at the greatest setting for College Football. The Apple Cup is a rivalry and this game did not disappoint. The Huskies did not win but what was experience I would not miss out on. Husky Football fans are humble and loyal fans. Here's to the future. Can't wait for the next game. Go DAWGS!!!

You know what a typical sporting event is like at Husky Stadium if you've ever gone to one. You can bet that the costs will be ridiculous, as can the wait times for using the restroom, purchasing food, or getting a drink. The parking situation was far worse than I had anticipated. I've been to four games in two years, and parking has always been easy. I don't think this is much of a complaint compared to the South. Perhaps it was the novelty of the season opener. Not only was the stadium underpopulated, but this was a top-10-ranked team playing host to a traditionally strong opponent. I bring this up because, despite my enthusiasm for games at this venue, I find that the atmosphere on game days pales compared to what I'm used to in the South and the Southeast. Expect full stadiums and no available parking anywhere within a few miles of the venue in certain areas. If you plan on sitting in the bleachers, I highly recommend bringing some padding with you. Since I don't partake in the concessions, I can't comment. The breathtaking panorama of Lake Washington and the Seattle skyline is a perk of sitting in the stadium. The campus is stunning, by the way. In sum, it was not a terrible time; you should check it out.

Enjoyed our time at the UW game. There is a variety of food options along with drink options. Generally would say the most popular are the pretzel, cheeseburger with fries, garlic fries, and the pizza. We had the cheeseburger and fries which was underwhelming. However, the Topo Chico seltzer and coors light consistently "hit the spot" if you will. Would say it was pretty basic fair and options for stadium food.

The stadium is well maintained, the view from where we sat was spectacular, and the staff opening/welcoming spectators were on top of their game (no pun intended). First game of the season, Huskies vs Golden Flashes (Kent State, Ohio). We won btw, yay! Go Huskies. My first (ever) attendance to any college football game, it was great!

I've been to a lot of stadiums and this is high on the list. Super cool experience, I went for the USC v UW game, unfortunately my Trojans lost. From "sail" gating, to the views of downtown and the water, this is worth putting on your bucket list. Depending on the weather, make sure you bring the right clothing, it can get chilly, windy, and wet.

First time at Husky Stadium today for the US Special Olympics. Came with a group from work to volunteer. Great sound! So nice to be able to understand the announcer and not have the sound bouncing around like at other stadiums. Seats are wobbly. Other than that, super clean and well maintained. Not a bad seat for viewing in the house. Staff interactions were all positive and helpful. Parking here is immense and anything close is reserved so hoof it.

Husky stadium has undergone quite the renovation over the past decade. The addition of a plethora of seats hat take you closer to the turf definitely adds to the experience. On a nice day, if you're up high and on the north side, you can see Lake Washington and it's pretty spectacular! The atmosphere is always solid and people being from the left coast are predominantly chill. There's always the one drunk tool sitting in the section, but they're pretty few and far between. As others have noted, it's unfortunately the same economists running this stadium as every other one it seems. In this land of captive and often inebriated audiences, it's for some reason appropriate to change $10 for a hot dog and $8 for 50 cents worth of pop as long as it comes in a "collector" cup. Those refills will be $8 as well...but don't you dare not recycle it! All kidding aside, the concessions here are ridiculously expensive and make it hard for anyone who's not a big donor. If you have the chance, check the place out. Beautiful setting and the same overpriced fair food you've come to expect from every stadium.

They call it the greatest setting in college football, and there's a good argument for that, with this site right on the shores of Lake Washington. What really makes it special is when the stands are full, the house is rocking, and the roar of the crowd creates an infectious intensity for the Dawgs. Win or lose, it's a great place to watch college football. The place is cool, but the fans are better. Naysayers will gripe that it's a dry stadium and you can't buy alcohol inside. True that, but there are plenty of tailgaters all likkered up during the game, so I don't mind that the stadium vendors aren't adding to the bacchanal. Besides, this stadium is on campus, and we wouldn't want to corrupt the innocent Husky youth.

Fist off, I am not a DAWG fan, but enjoy college football. The new stadium is beautiful and site lines are great! I had to choke a bit at $80.00 tickets in upper level about 10 rows from the top. Pretty normal concession options and the usual high prices. My real issue came with the actual fans and lack of security. We had a small group of UW frat boys in our row as indicated by the usual Greek letter hoodies they all wear. This group was picking on a pair of older guys (60-65?) wearing the opponent hats and shirts. The hazing got so bad the frat boys actually starting hitting these guys, throwing trash at them and spraying beer. The frat boys were extremely drunk and belligerent! At least three different people got up to notify ushers and nothing was done. The two older guys ended up leaving at half time and when others stepped up to convince frat boys to stop, they immediately challenged these people to fight. We had to leave in 3rd quarter to avoid further confrontation. Upon exiting we saw security on concourse and advised them of situation. He replied they had been notified earlier.....and you did what? These types of fans drive away others and cost the school revenue, let alone open up the school to lawsuits. I will not go back!

Wow this stadium is beautiful! Clean too. The location and the design have to be unlike no other! There was an interesting Lyft set-up a couple blocks away where all the cars come down this one alley and wait single file so they can't get past each other for pick-up, so ride share home was a little complicated

I went to another Pac 12 school but Husky Stadium is definitely the best stadium in the Pac 12. We walked from Lake Union then climbed to the top deck. It was a work out. Great game too. Check it out.

Husky Stadium is amazing! They have a giant high-quality screen on one end of the field that they show all the plays and replays on. There's also just about any kind of food you could possibly want at football game! I don't think there's a bad seat in the whole stadium and it was nice that they had ramps going up to the upper decks so that even folks in a wheelchair could go up there. The light rail train drops you off and picks you up right there at the stadium too! So nice to not have to drive around forever looking for a parking spot All-in-all it is a very nice stadium. It's clean, well lit and has a fantastic sound system!

WOW! This truly is the greatest setting in college football. What an incredible game day experience. From "sail" gating, to the views of downtown and the water, to the passionate Husky fans, this place is worth visiting on game day!

What can you add about the place? It is a wonderful place to watch football with a beautiful view. Parking and traffic are a pain, but they do what they can. The food is OK and much better on the lower levels. Some of the bathrooms have troughs that never seem to drain well.

First of all, I am a UW Alumni! Second, the new stadium was very much needed and they did not skimp on anything! It is more beautiful with lots of bathrooms! I believe there isn't a bad seat in the house. It is always very well maintained. The one thing I would like to see is better food. The food, is more of a 2-3 stars. I was at Apple Cup this year and the hot dogs were very very sad. The bun was over steamed, the hot dogs looked old and the sauerkraut on the purple and gold hot dog was not sauerkraut but a slightly tangy boiled cabbage.... for $7.00 would expect a much higher quality. There were other offerings sprinkled around the stadium. There was a bratwurst stand, lemonade and hot chocolate stand, pizza stand and not sure what else as I only went to the places near my section. There were nachos with chili on it when one patron was walking past me. I don't know where those came from but the nachos near section 221 only offered jalapeños on top. I wish things were a little more consistent in terms of what is offered as I am not going to circle the stadium. Other than that, getting to the stadium is easy with many transportation options! You have bus, light rail and lyft. You can park in the lots on campus or on Montlake but it will cost you $40 or more. I will always love this stadium as I am a little bias! GO HUSKIES!

Husky Stadium is a really nice venue for college football - especially after the remodel. Husky Stadium is a nice, open air stadium, that's just minutes from the University of Washington's main campus and provides a great view of the Montlake Cut (which is a part of Lake Washington). It's a really cool open-end stadium, which provides nice lines of sight/scenic views of the UW campus and Lake Washington. Unlike CenturyLink Field, where I don't mind sitting high up, I do feel fairly far from the action when sitting in the upper levels. The trade off is better views of the campus and what not, but definitely do feel away from the action. It's a really nice stadium, perfect for a clear-night/night game. Really good college atmosphere, which has improved as the Huskies have improved as well. Great place for college football.

The new and improved Husky Stadium is a state of the art facility that retains the tradition and legacy of the University of Washington program. In the recent renovation, everything was well thought out to give Husky fans a superior game day experience. Great views from anywhere inside the stadium. Great views anywhere outside the stadium too. Expanded food options that finally accept credit cards. The new "Off-Leash" deck where you can purchase beer and wine inside the stadium. "The Zone" where you can tailgate and enjoy the action even if you don't have a ticket. Organized parking lots and tons of mass transit options. And where else in America can you tailgate for a college football game on a boat? Nowhere! I'll stop coming back when I'm dead, unless they find a way to bury me there. PSA - Bags are no longer allowed inside the stadium. Clear bags are available for purchase. Ladies, keep your purses in the car.

There is a reason they call Husky Stadium the best setting in college football. The stadium itself is large and imposing. It sits on Lake Washington as a symbol for the university. The field always looks great and the seating is what you'd expect from a stadium this size. Security to enter the stadium is standard - you need a see-through bag or you have to check a bag outside the stadium for $10/bag. It's best to go without if you can. Parking lots on either side of the stadium are packed for tailgating on game days. The best way to get to the stadium is public transit, because you won't find parking. Many seats have a view of Lake Washington past the main video board. The main video board, while big, is pretty terrible. The aspect ratio is too wide, so you'll never see a useful replay, you can only ever see player's torsos. You're better off looking at the smaller video screens. The men's bathrooms are troughs, which helps with getting in-and-out during half-time. Of course, the food and drinks are *way* overpriced, as you'd expect. Go Dogs!

The greatest setting in college football, yes! Of course I have bias since I'm native to Washington. A great stadium to see a game in. On clear day you have a view of Mt. Rainier in the background with Lake Washington on to the East. The Olympics to the West. Such a energetic atmosphere inside pre game and during the game as well. My only complaint would be the limited food options that even high for stadium pricing. ($12 for a chowder bowl or almost $9 for a normal slice of pizza.) At least the beer is on par with pricing. All in all, I'm glad to be a season ticket holder and look forward to the next game.

So having been to college football games in the south and midwest i don't think that the stadiun can make uo for the scale of some of the larger stadiums. It holds approximately 60,000 prople where the larger stadiums hold 100,000+. One thing i always used to lov about the stadium was the fact that it opened up to lale washington. Unfortunately the powers that be in an effort to add seating closed that in and took one of the great defining characteristics away from the stadium. So now what husky stadium does givd you is a way to watch a college gootball game, in a venue that isn't that loud and could be characterized as a "cozy" major college stadium. Two positives i will bring up. First is the train which takes you direcgly from the stadium to capitol hill in just a few minutes. And the second is the fact that the tickets to the game are cheap. So the same seats that woulf cost you $1200 at say Ohio State may only cost $120 for the Husky game. Of course the Huskies are winning now and you know how much people in Seattle love their bandwagons, so the prices are bound to go up.

Unfortunately we were not able to see a game here, but what an impressive, state of the art facility (for the price tag it should be). The stadium definitely leaves an impression whether you are a sports enthusiast or not.

After $280M (privately funded) and 18 months, Husky Stadium opened the season in spectacular style last Saturday and ushering in a new era in Husky Football! I can't help but be thoroughly impressed with the new digs. It certainly feels like home in the sense that it is basically the same configuration as the original stadium. The major differences would be the absence of the track and moat (they lowered the field four feet and moved it seven feet to the north), student section is now in the west end zone, Football Operations Building that occupies the west end of the stadium, new HuskyTron (it is said that you can play X-Box on it from the FOB) and the permanent seats at the east end of the stadium. A few other observations - the Ring of Honor on the west side of the stadium, wider concourses, more restrooms and more concessions! They definitely have a lot of local places represented like Beecher's, Ivar's, Kidd Valley and Trophy Cupcakes! If you get a chance to go to a game, go early to walk around and explore the stadium. They open the gates two hours prior to kickoff, so you will have plenty of time to walk around and soak it in! Afterwards, head over to The Zone (east practice field) to have some drinks (I'm sure you will probably have had a few prior at tailgate) and watch the team do the Dawg Walk to the stadium before the game! What a beautiful college stadium! I love that you can see Lake Washington as well as the skyscrapers and downtown skyline from even the nosebleeds. Literally there is not a bad seat in the entire place. The renovations really upped the status of the stadium and I'm glad it is so close by to where I live - a short bus ride or bike ride down the Burke Gilman gets me there for games or events in no time at all. Parking here can be a pain and traffic after games is a huge problem, but as for the stadium it is top notch. It is accessible from the south by taking the light rail so that is super convenient for those who don't want to deal with traffic.

Hush Key Stadium was built because if you're coming in late at night and you don't want your parents/significant other/landlord/dog to hear you, you should use a Hush Key. First-Hand Experience: Info on my personal visit to this stadium - This is not the best stadium I've been to in Seattle but it's still fantastic. I prefer Seahawks Stadium (Sounders Stadium really), but this one is brand new, stunning, unusual and unique. The crowd is very loud, as most crowds in the north west are. I always swing by this stadium when in Seattle. I've probably been here 7 or 8 times and will be visiting again next time I'm up here. Oh and the TV is absolutely enormous. I've been to every cool stadium in the UK & North America, due to my obsession with travel & sport. I've toured America as a musician for 7 or 8 years. In that time, I've seen sports games at, or visited when empty (and usually both), at almost every major stadium in US and Canada. I have pictures of most which I will upload at some point. Also, on future travels, I plan to take new pix, and add more stadia! Watch this space! ***back to regular review*** It looks like a spaceship. Everything about it is amazing and fantastic except for the fact that one end has no people there, it's completely open which really destroys a lot of the atmosphere. It's still an amazing stadium though but has nothing on the Sounders/Seahawks home. It can hold 70k people and the roof is really cool. The fans could be just a little bit louder but that's okay. Looking forward to seeing another game here someday, especially since the new renovations which look stunning. And when in Seattle, try a sandwich at Paseo.

Husky Football is back, and it's back home! Watching UW playing football at Centurylink last year was great and all, but it never felt like home. With the season opener this past weekend, you could sense the shift in the atmosphere and the crowd, and everyone was just pumped to be back in Montlake. They've remodeled the stadium -- the track has been taken out, seats have been moved in and now provide more leg room (not that I need it), they've replaced the score board and the big screen, built ramps for easier entering and exiting, and made other adjustments here and there. I've heard rumors that the majority of the renovations have been within the building (which the public is unable to see) but that suits me just fine. When the crowd is present to support the Dawgs, like they were last weekend, it's an unbelievable environment. Go Dawgs!

This review is aimed at the concession providers and not the facility itself (which is beautiful). I waited in line at the Club level to get a coffee. It was painful to observe the inefficiency with the party in front of me. I think they wanted a paper receipt and only one of the 20 or so registers could print that out so it took a long while and 4 different employees to get that accomplished. It was finally my turn and I ordered my coffee. I decided to leave a 20% tip on the cashless screen, NOT because the service was anything other than robotic, but I figured these people don't earn a whole lot. The Starbucks drip coffee arrived and I asked where I could get cream and sugar. "We don't have that.".......Wait.....What?!?!?! Over $6.00 for the coffee and tip and no cream and sugar? Starbucks plastered all over the stadium and no cream and sugar? I told them they could keep their coffee and left it on the counter. What am I missing here?

Born and raised in Hawaii then migrated to Seattle. I've been living in Seattle around four years now and have never watched a Huskies Game - but that all changed today, when the Huskies played the Warriors! It was AWESOME!!! Me being a UW fan at heart, I represented with my UW shirt. My fiance' on the other hand, wore his green "Hawaii" tee. In the end, UW won the game 40 to 32! The heat was at a high 94* today. Luckily we had seats on the south side, watching the entire game in the shade! This was a big factor in my enjoyment. The Husky support is amazing! I was proud to be cheering for Udub!

No better way to make me homesick for Seattle than to see pics of the Husky Football Team beat the pants off of Boise State yesterday at Husky Stadium. An unexpected win but no a total surprise as most competitors will agree that Husky Stadium is a hard place in which to win - unless you are wearing the purple and the gold. With a "storied" football program, yesterday's game in this elite stadium was described as "...not Husky football circa 2002-2006. The feeling of Rose Bowls, National Championships and All-Americans was back again Saturday" Sun shining, Lake Washington in the background, Husky Pride back in full effect...GO DAWGS!! I've seen football games all over the country, and although I am admittedly biased, this is the best stadium anywhere to watch a fall football game. Where else can you arrive by boat, "tailgate" aboard a yacht, gather round the climbing rock, enjoy Ivar's clam chowder at halftime or shake it to "Tequila"? Watch out all you Pac10 Rivals and Big 10 Haters: Get ready to Bow Down to Washington Football!

This was for the LSU vs Washington football game to open the 2009 College Football Season up. I was living in San Francisco at the time, so it was an easy trip for me. Plus I love college football and partaking in other school's traditions. Ok...Husky Stadium... Let's get this out of the way first..... Kyle W is a Jacko Fact #1: I'm an opposing fan Kyle W is a Jacko Fact #2: Even worse, I'm an SEC fan Kyle W is a Jacko Fact #3: I almost got kicked out of the stadium for being too rowdy....oh HELLO. Add those 3 jacko facts together...I obviously have a biased opinion of Husky Stadium. Highlights: Tailgating or Sailgating is bad ass. Neat different experience. Sightlines of the stadium are amazing. The Soccer Stadium type roof....keeps the sun out, so I don't have to mosturize my skin UW's band played one of LSU's fight songs before the game...classy Great overall experience. Located in Seattle. Awesome city. Lowlights: Track around the stadium....that's just messed up man. No real football stadium should have a track around it. Fan police...yes I had a friend...she got way too hammered and stumbled into the chair in front of her. UW fan started talking shit to her...and I started barking at him. Next thing I know....he goes down tells a cop I was being too mean. Cop pulls me aside to tell me to calm down or I will be ejected. Never had that happen before at any of the Pac 10 or SEC stadiums that i've ben to. Booooooooo. Anyways....great game, and actually made some friends from UW. Fans are knowledgeable, and they showed up even after the bad season with Ty Willingham. Would go back if LSU and UW ever scheduled another game.

After the renovations, there's more seats and better food vendors. Still have a great view of Lake Washington and seeing all the boats tailgating on the water. Anyone seating in the upper levels, get ready for a hike and you must love stairs cause there's alot. Plus side to upper seating is that you're undercover, so if it rains, you won't get wet. However you do feel the wind more.

I am a simple woman, I have asked for little in this life. I take a straight hike to the beer garden, where I was patted down and after that ordeal I was subjected to $12 beer. It was the straw that broke the camels back. 3/5 because I would probably go again. Supply and demand am I right??

This was still a lot of fun, but this review is about the Starbucks at the stadium, so I kept the same rating. You get in line, they mark your name on the cup and the line is really to identify what you want and to pay. The line crawls at a snail's pace. Then, you move to another area to actually get what you paid for. The person behind the counter yells out your name and you come up and get the cup. We waited through an entire quarter getting a cup of hot chocolate. This has to be the worst process for operating a coffee stand. We regretted coming here after the first 20 minutes of standing in line. Horrible!

Amazing view both on the field and off. Full panorama of Lake Washington to gaze at if the game has turned you off. (It was easy to be turned off by the product on the field these last few years.) Been coming here for decades, and while a remodel will do this aging beauty well, I hope she doesn't lose her character. Husky stadium is a great place to watch a game, epically when the Dawgs are killing a Pac-10 opponent. Tailgating here is always a blast and starts early most games, so get down here when the sun rises and prepare to have a great time!

Good sitelines from the upper deck + loud, vocal fans = Good times. I've been to several Pac-10 and NFL stadiums and Husky Stadium is the loudest I've been to. So loud that OSU had to stop and call time out several times to get their play calling in order. To me, that's one of the marks of a good stadium experience. To top it off, UW won in double overtime. Touchdowns: - Good, smart fan base creates a lot of noise. - Good view even from high up in the upper deck (North stand, Row AA). - Great location next to campus (contrast with the Rose Bowl, which is 25 miles from campus, or USC which is next to campus but in the ghetto). - Easy (and free) access to/from downtown Seattle via bus. Penalties: - Difficult, if not impossible, to hear the UW band from the upper deck of the North stand since they are right beneath you. - The upper deck is so high that it takes forever to exit. - The concession fare in the North stand was pretty weak. Make sure you eat beforehand or go to The Zone if you want decent food. - The condiments were abysmal. A giant jar of ketchup with a tiny plastic spoon?

Renovation great! I would give it 4.5 stars though for our seats. Our seats are located on the upper north deck. Pros: midfield seats, view, cover Cons: concessions poor, no bathrooms unless you go down a level

Nice college atmosphere, experience priceless but really the nose bleed were nose bleed bank in the daya I think that the stadium was fine but there wasn't any rain. We loved the weather while we were here. We had sun to enjoy the days. The campus was beautiful!! The first snack place I went to did not have pretzels. I had to go to three of them to find one. The nachos didn't have hot cheeZe I think the bag was just placed and they didn't give me as much. The clam chowder soup was okay not the best. The worst was the seats for out of towners like us. It was nose belled and scary. The hand rails didn't make me feel any more secure going up or just sitting there. It felt better when I had people around me. When we first go there it was empty all around me.
