Was really excited to try this place. The pictures of the building and furniture certainly lived up to the experience. The coffee was lacking and water downed and topped off with cold foam disappointment. The Matcha tasted like colored milk water and would have been more enjoyable with a healthier scoop of match. The advertised flavor profile of their drinks were lost somewhere in the decor.

Google
A nice quaint little coffee shop in the lobby of a hotel. My wife and I were in the area and decided to try it. It was a Saturday morning so there was a nice crowd. We found a nice place to sit at the door to enjoy our coffee and pastries! We enjoyed ourselves!

Google
Atmosphere is 10/10. The cafe is inside a 4 star hotel. Look at the pictures of the hotel lobby, just stunning with reburnished classical design. There are couches and table where you can chill and enjoy some food and drinks. Other reviews about their food looks very good too. But I didn't get to try it . About coffee, look at the picture of my iced latte. It is white. Doesn't taste bad but the barista needs more training for sure.

Google
I had a very nice experience here one early afternoon. I stopped in for a coffee, a pastry, and to do some remote work. The atmosphere is really relaxed and they have great background music. The coffee drinks were fantastic and the hospitality of the staff was really quite remarkable. Everyone there seems to be happy you stopped in. I will be back for sure.

Google
Paid $25 (incl. 20% tip) for an avo toast & iced latte and clearly said “for here” twice when asked. Still, the food came out in a takeout box. When it was brought over, they asked again if I also had drinks. It wasn’t busy, and several staff were chatting behind the counter. At this price point, I also expected a bit more care regarding presentation, f.ex. a small salad bouquet. That said, the interior is gorgeous - funky, chic and full of character. The blues music playing in the background creates a really cozy, feel-good atmosphere. Overall: lovely vibe but service & value don’t quite live up to the aesthetic, style over substance.

Google
Coffee and pastry selection were small, expected a lot more. The coffee was really mediocre. On the bright side its inexpensive and I'm sure good for a cup of hotel coffee. The vibe is cool but it wasn't hitting for me.

Google
This was one of the best Cafés I’ve ever been to in my whole life. The service was amazing and so was the ambience. The coffee was good as well, though they did not have their full menu available. The chairs not only look super cool but are also very comfortable and the place overall is very clean. Please go there guys and support this coffee shop!

Google
I recently visited this cafe and had a great experience overall. The sandwich was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. The ambiance is fantastic, with a relaxed vibe that made it the perfect spot to unwind. The service, while decent, could use a little improvement. It wasn’t bad by any means, but there were some minor delays. That said, the quality of the food and the atmosphere more than made up for it. Definitely a place I’ll return to for a great bite and a peaceful setting!

Yelp
This place is so cute and a great place to work from home. Bourbon Mocha was very good and not too sweet. My husband had a vanilla latte and it was sweeter and also great. Server was very kind.

Yelp
Memphis, TN. I located this establishment by YELP recommendations. Originally I was going to walk the path from the River Crossing, but I needed lunch so I drove. Easy parking on a Sunday.. The staff was mildly friendly, that's ok, better than grumpy. There was some famous musician there (No, I don't know who it was). He was being interviewed on camera and his whole band was participating. Steph got her picture taken with him but I still don't know much about him. My turkey sandwich was almost all bread, maybe two very thin slices of turkey. Steph's sandwich was similar, she got more out of it (Flavor wise) by discarding the top piece of bread. Plenty of lettuce in each Sammy though, maybe just call them "Lettuce Sandwiches?" The lattes are weak, I would pass if I were to come this way again.

Yelp
Cute cafe in Memphis! I love the decor inside - a lot of bright colors, eclectic furniture like turtle couches and varied texture. Nice spot to cozy up and get some work done or to catch up with some friends over brunch. The iced chai latte was quite refreshing. They have pastries and a food menu for breakfast/lunch (kitchen closes at 2pm)

Yelp
This place fell off so long ago. Used to be the best place for a coffee and breakfast. Sadly, it's become a laughing stock. Formerly these menu items were 10/10: Yogurt and granola Choc chip cookie Banana bread As of today I wouldn't order any of it again. It's as if they went from a baker and legitimate culinary staff, to a former cafeteria worker at the VA. Coffee was average, some roaster from Louisiana. It's sad, a once Memphis gem has become gross and honestly the entire time I was in there they were playing blues music...brother it's a coffee shop in 2025 I don't wanna listen to BB King shred for 3 hrs. Not to mention the smell. I couldn't tell if someone just used dry shampoo as an air freshener or if they genuinely think their customers want to smell synthetic chemicals while they chill. Who is managing this disaster?? Give me back my favorite spot with the line out the door any time I go. Look at the amount of yogurt in the bowl w the grapefruit. It's clear the quality is gone. Wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. The granola tasted terrible too. The dude brought it to me from the kitchen with his gloves still on

Jennifer H.

Yelp
Cute place but the pastries were not great and the counter help were more interested in talking to each other than helping the customers. Big sigh when I asked for a bag for an extra pastry we didn't eat.

Yelp
A S. Front Street gem in Memphis that perfectly balances sophistication with comfort. The coffee program here is exceptional, and the space itself feels like something you'd find in a much larger city while still maintaining that distinctive Memphis charm. The interior strikes a perfect note for both casual meetups and business meetings - I've done both here and it works beautifully. What really sets this place apart is its versatility - it transitions seamlessly from a morning coffee spot to an evening cocktail destination. The attention to detail in both service and atmosphere makes it clear why locals consider this a standout. Pro tip: It's an ideal spot to take out-of-towners to show them a true cozy Memphis vibe.

Yelp
This is a great place for a quick breakfast bite and coffee. We had and pastries and coffees here before going to the Civil Rights Museum. They were delicious! My raspberry and pistachio pastry was flaky and flavorful. My latte was also perfect The shop is literally at the trolley stop and is actually in the hotel lobby for Arrive. The breakfast spot shares space with a beautiful looking bar. We shared table space with two women who were staying there for their work and they said the hotel was nice as well. If we visit Memphis again, I would like to also check out the bar.

Yelp
Gorgeous coffee bar! Love the atmosphere and Aiden provided excellent service. Hope I can come back tomorrow!

Yelp
Great vibes! Sits in the lobby of Arrive Hotel. Service was nothing short of amazing, everyone was pleasant, friendly, prompt. Lattes are A1

Yelp
Was nervous it might go downhill when Vice & Virtue pulled out, but it's still super good! This is in my rotation of places to remote work (get there early, tables are limited). I love their coffee and am a huge fan of their avocado toast. Their lobby is so well decorated and comfortable, which is one of the big draws for working there!
google avatar

Yelp
Super cool place. We got the coconut cordial iced drink and the gluten free double chocolate cookie. Good music and super chill.
google avatar

Spoon R.

Yelp
You immediately taste the creamy bourbon flavor. Not too strong but enough to add flavor to the latte.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute ambiance, friendly service, and great bites! We found this place because it's one of the few spots open on a Monday morning in the area. We tried a cortado, which was perfect in every way, Brussels salad-literally top 5 salads I've ever had. Lemony tangy dressing, salty crispy pancetta, toasty croutons, crunchy Brussels and cabbage, and the runny egg was just the "icing on the cake"! Hubs got the fried bologna sammich which was humongous and delicious. We split the soup of the day which was roasted red pepper. This was the only letdown as it was cold and flavorless. We finished off with Banana bourbon chocolate bread (cake) which was divine!! Would return when in Memphis :)

Yelp
Date of visit: August 9, 2023 We needed a little recharge after an early flight to Nashville and then the three hour drive to Memphis and Hustle & Dough was the perfect place to do that! Full of cozy chairs and small tables for laptops, we observed a variety of peeps enjoying coffee or a snack while working, lounging, or lounging while they were supposed to be working. While the small kitchen takes a bit to serve up items for groups, everything that comes out is quite good. I would have preferred the Bourbon Mocha to be a bit sweeter, but I'm sure that I could have rectified that if I had tried. Also scored some cute dog biscuits for my fur child and met an adorable puppy named Penny!

Yelp
Raspberry and pistachio hand pie was a delicious breakfast treat. I also enjoyed a lovely cosmo with a coworker after work. The avocado toast was incredible. Decor is gorgeous and staff is friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
Definitely my kind of coffee spot! Loved the vibe as soon as I walked in the door. This place was quite busy, so be prepared to wait. But our wait wasn't unreasonable. I ordered my usual oat milk latte and the barista nailed the temperature and creaminess of the froth. Wish I would have had time to sit and enjoy the ambiance and the service. If I lived nearby, I would certainly be a regular. If you enjoy good coffee and like avoiding chain locations, Hustle and Dough is worth a try.
google avatar

Beatrice V.

Yelp
Friendly staff. I ordered an almond milk latte on my way out of the hotel, it was kinda pricey but it was made well. Also got some pastries to go. Their chocolate chip cookie is the size of my head and it was good. I also tried their pistachio raspberry pastry. A little more doughy but still good. Really cute charming space, lots of people working on their laptops here.

Yelp
Oops... Spilt my coffee! If you are looking for coffee, food and a nice chit-chat with your friends, Hustle and Dough is the place to be. This is my home away from home. I order the same thing every time. 1.Classic French Toast 2.Avocado Toast 3. Latte Hustle and Dough is connected to Arrive Hotel that is located Downtown Memphis (SouthMain). I love the aesthetic and ambiance in this establishment.

Yelp
Loved it! The ambiance had me feeling like I was in a movie a unique big city vibe. Gave a 4 star because The food does take more time than usual (especially during rush hours). Hiring an extra person would possibly help Same lady taking food/drinks to the customers was also taking dirty dishes. Not during covid season. And she looked like she hated her job and didn't wipe down tables. Hiring an extra/another person would possibly help. Just my opinion but only under rare circumstances do I think animals and adults eat in the same area. Thankfully the people with pets had well behaved pets. Overall I would return again but during the off times when it's less hustle and bustle.

Yelp
Looking for a cafe to have coffee and some snacks and found this on Yelp. It's located in a hotel lobby, the vibe is very relaxing and old fashioned in a good way, you feel like you could be in a Paris cafe somewhere; high ceilings and nice worn out leather sofa. You order at the counter and they bring it to you. Good service and good coffee, they also give you coffee art(nice touch). The hand pies are also good, i don't know if they heat it up for you or not since I didn't ask. Anyway, I would definitely come back if I had the chance.

Yelp
Expensive yet worth every penny. Quality costs and this place is quality. Loved the sourdough toast. Amazing.

Yelp
Nice little coffee shop in the Arrive hotel lobby. I got a Lemon Sesame Shortbread cookie, which was tasty and not overly sweet, as lemon cookies tend to be. It was also a decent size for $3. In addition, I got a hot chocolate, which was pretty standard but not that warm. Props to them for adding a nice double heart design to it though. The shop has comfy seating (normal table style and also living room couch style) with a bright, open atmosphere and casual vibe for the seating area. The staff are pretty friendly and the service speed is quick. Overall, I would recommend Hustle & Dough if you are looking for a nice coffee shop to grab a coffee or snack from in downtown Memphis.
google avatar

Yelp
I have to say i've become a regular here so my opinion is a little bias... but this is the best, most upscale, friendly coffee shop in Memphis. you would never know you're in the lobby of a hotel (The Arrive hotel) when you're enjoying coffee/ breakfast/ lunch at Hustle & Dough. The ambiance, quirky decor, and fabulous menu is genuinely one-of-a-kind in the Memphis area. Don't know what to order? here's my go to: - Breakfast: Avocado Toast with an egg on top - Lunch: The turkey sandwich (the homemade bread *chef's kiss*) - Drinks: Chai Tea Latte, Iced Matcha, or Cappuccino
google avatar

Camille F.

Yelp
Seriously, the best avocado toast I've had! I was just glad I could find a seat because apparently this is the weekday SPOT! The folks who work there are pretty cool and had no problem helping me order. Because I walked in out of pure interest. I got the avocado toast with absolutely no changes but the next time I go, I'm going to get extra garlic pepitas (those lil things are good lol)! I also ordered an iced bourbon mocha and had it not been during work hours, I would've had to ask the bar for a shot of bourbon...it's GOOD and dark. Loved it! I worked for a couple of hours here this day. I'm going to go do it again. What do Saturdays look like?

Yelp
@hustleanddough901 This was a great first time experience! The decor and the service was top notch. I tried the lamb meatball pizza with fresh cucumbers, red onion, greek yogurt and a special blend of spices . Great time! I will definitely be back! @yelpmemphis

Yelp
Decided to get a quick bite to eat before our reservation to civil rights museum today. The place was super busy but with an hour to spare and museum being across the street, I decided to stay and take a chance. Due to long lines, ONE person at register and a manager walking around apologizing. We could not indulge in a breakfast. We hd to settle for coffee and pastry. The manager In stead of apologizing should have jumped on register and helped take orders. not good!!
google avatar

Art C.

Yelp
We weren't a 100% happy with their service... but yeah, they make wonderful pastries. We had a potato raclette turnover that was just crazy good. And their pecan pie... I'm not sure if I've ever had better (and I've had a lot). Put this one on your short list.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is inside the Arrive Hotel lobby. There is indoor and outdoor seating. You order at the counter and they bring it out to you. Dogs are welcome! We ordered avocado toast, a chocolate chip cookie, a latte and a jasmine green tea and sat outside. Service was excellent. Everyone was extremely friendly. Masks are required. The avocado toast was SO GOOD!! It was on homemade sourdough and had this fermented jalapeño that gave it the slightest bit of spice. I normally don't like to order simple things from breakfast menus bc I feel I can make it at home really easily for way cheaper. This was not simple ad I definitely couldn't have made it better. The bread was crunchy and buttery (chili lemon butter) and the avocado was perfectly ripe. I would highly recommend! The chocolate chip cookie was good too. It was a little bit crunchier than I prefer, but my husband prefers it that way. The middle was chewy though. It wasn't overly sweet, which was nice. I would definitely be back the next time we're in town.

Tom W.

Yelp
Don't get the BLT! Way too salty! Almost inedible. This was my second visit to Hustle and Dough. Service was good both times. Last time I had the avocado toast w an egg. It was good and I'd recommend it over the BLT. Yea, that BLT was terrible.

Shondra E.

Yelp
Excellent food and a good time. Will definitely try it again Keep it up folks. Staff were very pleasant

Yelp
Have been here twice over past year, pretty good experience every time. Appears busy on weekends, but what a great spot to meet with friends. Tried recently the outnog which is a spiked eggnog inspired drink and potato pie which was so buttery and yummy. Have tried a mushroom scone in the past which was also great. Both drink and food menu appears to change time to time, whatever you try will likely to be tasty! Yesterday we waited in line quite a while and then it took 10 minutes+ to prepare but staff was very communicative about it. Love the variety and uniqueness of each chair and furniture, each corner being different from the others. Good vibes, love it! Dog friendly too, even better!!
google avatar

I G.

Yelp
Located inside a hotel, it has a classy and pleasing seating area. Limited food/drink options, this is a place you go to grab a cup of coffee and work on your laptop or hang with a friend. I do recommend the tamago sandwich. Its an omelet with spicy mayo and red chili flakes on soft white bread. Feels Japanese inspired. Its got a lot of zing to it!
google avatar

Yelp
This coffee shop is AMAZING. Coffee, food, ambiance...perfection! Looking forward to my next visit to Memphis and Hustle & Dough.

Yelp
Ambience is lounge perfect. Food was great. Service was quick. I will be back. Today lol.

Yelp
Nice bread centric bakery and cafe in the lobby of a small hotel in the S Main Arts District. The avocado toast was phenomenal. The pastries are flaky and delish. The lobby has a living room feel with small tables. Lots of natural light. Recommend!!
google avatar

Kandis B.

Yelp
Excellent breakfast options and coffee. It's laid back and in the lobby area of a newer boutique hotel on south main. The avocado toast is some of the absolute best I've had. My daughter loves their pastries. Atmosphere is great for people watching
google avatar

Leslie a.

Yelp
The most adorable coffee space. Love the decor and food and coffee options. Many of the items we wanted were sold out and /or unavailable but what we did order (a green matcha with vanilla syrup) was great. The simple sour dough bread toast was delicious. The Utensils and plating, furniture and ambience were the best!
google avatar

Kyle N.

Yelp
This is a really cool coffeeshop! It's located in a boutique hotel lobby, and it offers a unique atmosphere; with different sitting areas each one furnished differently and with its own individualized identity. I ordered a mocha coffee and a grapefruit bread. The coffee tasted good, but was lukewarm. The bread however was pretty good, very original; never seen a grapefruit bread anywhere else. I'm planning to return and try more products.

Yelp
Really cute coffee shop and bakery in the lobby of the Arrive Hotel on South Main. There is indoor and outdoor seating. You order at the counter, and they will bring drinks and food to your table. We were here on a Saturday around noon. We probably waited about 10-15 minutes to order. There are a variety of tables and fun chairs to sit at. It seemed about half of the customers who were there were doing work or studying. The toasts are a must to try! We got the avocado toast (loaded with avocado and very savory) and the almond butter toast (a nice spread and good for a sweet tooth). You can add an egg on top of the avocado toast as well! These will fill you up! We tried a few of the pastries as well: a cookie and a hand pie. They have a variety of pastries that are made daily. These were good but nothing special. I definitely recommend the toasts over the sweets. Service was pretty quick for a busy Saturday morning. Definitely a good stop if you are walking around South Main!

Yelp
From the minute we walked in and saw the eclectic decor, with dog owners and their dogs, we knew we were in a super cool place. The hot chocolate, well, let's just say it tasted like melted chocolate bars. The French toast? Well, when you see it come out and it's only one slice, you think, what!?!? Then you bite into the most delicious breakfast you've ever had, and one slice totally does it. And I can't ignore the multi grain grits! Not only were they fabulous by themselves but being covered in melted butter and date syrup took it to the moon! Absolutely one of the best breakfasts we had our entire trip! We even left with some bakery to eat later, which was delicious. Yes, it's pricey, but totally worth it!
google avatar

Lauren H.

Yelp
A lot of good pastries to choose from, even later in the morning (around 10:30a). Grabbed a loaf of bread to go as well.
google avatar

Tara R.

Yelp
Very cute little coffee shop in a hotel lobby. The decor is super cool as the furniture styles are all different. You can definitely find a comfy seat. There were several other customers working on laptops. We ordered a coffee, double espresso and the apple, cheddar and rosemary scone. The scone was sooo good! If I hadn't already eaten breakfast before coming here I probably would have ordered another one. The service was excellent as the employees encouraged us to ask questions if we had any. Our order was delivered promptly to our table. It was a very relaxing spot if you need a quick drink or snack.

Yelp
I parked in downtown Memphis and in amazement stumbled upon the Lorraine Motel where MLK met his final moment. I felt a tidal wave of ambiguous emotions which led me to curiously stray the streets to digest it all. Within a minute I arrived at Humble & Dough and to preface...so should you! The large doors open up to unveil a building that proudly displays its vintage bones like visiting a geriatric nudist beach. The large pillars...the dramatic oversized furniture...high ceilings and seductive aroma of coffee let you know that you have truly arrived. The staff, specifically a fine fellow named Isaac, provided a level of service and knowledge about flavor profiles that anyone with taste would be impressed to sample. You'll immediately know "this ain't no Starbucks". The menu concisely describes the offerings (both beverage and culinary) and gives you the comfort in knowing that you really can't make a wrong decision. The pastries spoke to me in mellow dramatic fashion ...so I listened and ordered the blueberry lemon scone along with a special whiskey infused blend of Vice & Virtue coffee and the egg salad toast. As I waited for my order at the elegant marble bar I felt like pure royalty due to the ambiance followed by a strong inkling that THIS...was gonna be an experience. The order arrived quickly and the first sip of this coffee caused me to murmur a few familiar four letter words. It was unlike any coffee I had tasted. The scone was of perfect consistency and maintained a sublime blend of tart, sweet and savory. The egg salad toast looked like art that I was absolutely intent on destroying. It lacked nothing but...perhaps...more. Before leaving ...my credit card took on some more damage as I purchased a few to-go's. If you find yourself in downtown Memphis. Treat yourself! You deserve it! I did! And follow along on the early stages of my journey as a tastemaker to review everything! -Real #RealReviewsEverything

Yelp
The people working here were very nice. The grits were different and absolutely delicious. The French bread was so good pricey for one slice but I would buy again in a heart beat. It was not yucky gooey it was the best French toast I ever eaten. The vanilla lattes were so good we went back the next day.
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome atmosphere. The mango espresso drink interesting concept, but wouldn't order that again. Great spot overall.

Yelp
I really love Hustle & Dough. Coffee is great, pastries are delicious (the choc chip cookie is GIANT and the sprinkle of sea salt on top makes it oh so yummy), and the food menu is also bomb. The sandos and mushroom toast are worth eating breakfast here!!! Yes, order both. And can't forget to mention how lovely and well decorated the space is. Good spot to study/do work for a morning.

Tommy K.

Yelp
Hustle & Dough is freaking awesome! This place is conveniently located in Memphis' South Main Historic Arts District, which is a nice walk from Beale Street / Downtown or if you prefer taking the Trolley, the Butler/Main stop drops you off right at their door. When I travel I enjoy trying new things so I had a Ham and Gruyère croissant with a Bourbon Mocha Latte. Both were absolutely delicious. I stopped by early in the morning so they weren't too crowded, but it is very spacious with a wide array of seating in some really neat furniture. Other than baked goods and coffee, they also offer a food menu and bar! The vibe here is awesome and the staff is very kind and helpful. I wish I could pack this place up and take it home with me. If you're in Downtown Memphis you must stop here!
google avatar

Nicki C.

Yelp
Fantastic atmosphere, coffee and pastries! Chai tea latte, and strawberry lime danish! Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Ali is an amazing baker. I'm not sure baker is enough to describe her. Pastry chef? Artist? Chef? Bad a$$? I say all the above. These pastries, toasts, breads, pizzas and other treats are all amazing and compliment the wonderful local roaster, Vice and Virtue, perfectly. You know when you can tell someone enjoys what they do? I get that from her smile when she greets me and from the love you seem to taste in her creations. Sounds cheesy, but im being serious. If you are in Memphis, do not sleep on Hustle and Dough. The hand pies, brownies, brioche tarts...WHAT!?
