Hy Mart Sandwiches

Nothing like a jam packed, well balanced sandwich. I think I've eaten at every place the valley has to offer and folks nothing comes close to HY MART. Friendly staff, good food, at a fair price, come on! What more could you want!? Definitely be back for more.

Whenever I would fly into Los Angeles before I would check into my hotel I had to stop here and have their Greek salad and gyro. Been coming here for over 20 years now, truly one of the best family-owned businesses, and best sandwiches in Los Angeles!!!

Best of the best of unique sandwiches! I like the pastrami, you can order it Ben’s way or just the regular way. It all depends on your tolerance for spicy food. They have a great selection of sandwiches, salads and vegetarian options so go check it out.

Family owned small sandwich shop: it is located in a small shopping center on Vineland and Camarillo Their sandwiches are very fresh and the bread is toasted I recommend any sandwich Also, they have the homemade lentil soup that's to die for

One of the best places in the valley where you can get gyros, subs and wraps with the freshest ingredients and everything is made to order! Our favorite has always been the Gyro Gone Wild, but we'll occasionally get other menu items (its a must for anyone visiting first time. Their staff is always friendly, and able to consistently server the same high quality. As far as dining in, they do have a nice clean dining area, nothing special, but cant expect anything more than that from a deli mart. Don't change anything and you'll have us as a lifetime customer!

This is a most excellent place for flavor-packed unique sandwiches and wraps, plus they have an excellent selection of chips and interesting bottled drinks to go with them. This is a no frills deli type of establishment, I believe family-run, and they put a lot of effort into their sandwiches, so once you place your order, be prepared for it to take some time to be ready, regardless of whether or not anyone was waiting before you, though it's popular among those in-the-know, so there's usually at least 1 order ahead of you. I cannot recommend this place enough. Their sandwiches/subs/wraps are very high-quality and made-to-order, leaning towards Greek/Mediterranean including a gyro meat option but anything can be customized. Aside from the chips (holy Zapps selection!) and drinks, you can also get a side of hummus and pita bread or imported grape leaves. Note that some of their wraps are spicy, so if you have an aversion to spice, be sure to mention it when you place your order!

Everything you want in a sandwich shop. Bold flavors, delicious bread, family-owned feel, and off-the-grid enough to make it feel like you've found a secret. Don't sleep on this one -- and if you like spicy sandwiches, get the Foreman's. Eat it at the shop if you can, because it's the freshest experience. Service was great and it has the ambiance of a hole-in-the-wall East coast sandwich shop.

I was craving a sandwich one day and decided to try this place that's on my block and it was great! I called for a pickup order and the food was prepared on time. I got a vegan falafel sandwich and my boyfriend got Gyro Gone Wild (great name lol) and they were both delicious. I think it was my first time eating a falafel sandwich on a sub instead of a pita bread and I liked it. Staff were friendly and there was space to eat inside if you decided to dine in.

My go to order is the gyro gone wild. It's soooooo good. I usually get it on the spicy side and it hits every time. Perfect balance of flavor and textures. Easily my favorite sandwich in the valley.

So disappointed I just came in and ordered a chicken wrap and it's basically a lettuce wrap with one bite of chicken what a rip off! I love this place too that's why I came back so I guess it depends on who the employee is that's making it. Ordered the pastrami sandwich as well and there wasn't nearly enough meat like they put last time. What a waste of money and you can't call and tell them so that's why I'm leaving this review. Some kind of credit would be nice considering I just paid over 30 bucks for lettuce.

Ten years I lived in North Hollywood and always lived Hy Mart sandwiches. I was driving through the valley and stopped to get a sandwich. Just what I remembered, friendly family business with fresh bread and meat, yummy sauce, and just the right amount of pickles. My go to is the combo but everything is good!

I've been going here since before they were even here and when they were a tiny little shop across the street. The quality has never diminished and the sandwiches are as good as ever. Boars head meats and cheeses, amazing rolls, and some Mediterranean fusion. I highly recommend the garlic chicken sandwich with everything. Don't forget Georgi's sauce! It adds a nice little kick to the already amazing flavor. The sandwich pictured here is not the garlic chicken, but a pastrami I think. Whatever it was it was amazing!

I like the food a lot! But I'll warn you that the menu photo prices even from days ago are wrong. I'd trust more the prices on yelp for ordering takeout. I called in an order thinking I'd get the lower prices listed on their website and the photos, and ended up paying about $15 per sandwich. It was good food! But I wasn't ready for the price.

Super delicious and tasty gyro. It's a small family owned business, serving delicious sandwiches and dishes. We tried the Gyro (spicy and regular) and feel in love with that. So we return the day next of our first visit and I believe this will be one of our regular locations. The Gyro is super soft and delicious, it is not a precooked Gyro, they are preparing in the store. Lots of potato chips and drinks options are available. Thanks you Anti Nadia for amazing gyros.

I've been coming here for years. I love this place. So fresh and so delicious and family owned. I had never met Sean or Carlos before and their customer service was outstanding. They were so welcoming, kind and helpful. So happy to see such wonderful additions to the staff. I don't get to go as often as I would like but anytime I'm on that side of the hill I try to eat there

If you are in this area and in the mood for a sandwich, you could go to Jersey Mike's (a pretty good option), OR you could come here (right across the street), and enjoy something at a similar price point that has even better bread

I came in today in a full blown hunger meltdown I was welcomed and accepted by the sweetest man who pretty much held my hand through the menu and helped me pick out some things for me to scarf like an actual goblin. IM SO HAPPY I stumbled across this place. It was delicious from the wraps to the grape leaves and even the hummus!!! Thank you so much random sweet man. 10/10

The fresh bread is amazing! I didn't love their gyro gone wild but absolutely fell in love with my daughter's plain turkey and cheese sub (lettuce, pickles, sauce). Can't wait to try their pastrami when I'm feeling super hungry.

Hi, I've been eating from Hy Mart for a good 3 years. My favorite sandwich is Mortadella Sandwich. No one makes it as Hy Mart. Service is great. Inside of the place is nice and cool , most importantly tables and chair are clean!

Best OG sandwich shop in studio city. Used to come here long before il tram was a thing. Show some love!

Two star because the staff were nice. I have heard of this place for years and I finally came (starving) with a great sandwich on my mind, I was left fully disappointed and sick. I ordered the spicy chicken kobi dan wrap and it was not good at all. It wasn't a wrap it was more of a flop of something I wouldn't call chicken or edible. Lack of vegetables and I believe even some items listed in the description were missing. It was my first time so I didn't know what to expect but I assumed this was right. Not sure if it was an off day, maybe training new staff or what, but I honestly wouldn't recommend this particular item.

Great mom and pop shop to come and great a fantastic sandwich or wrap. Service was amazing! The owner helped me with my order and was super personable and friendly. I ordered 3 sandwiches, 3 bags of chips and a drink and the total was just over $48. I think the bags of chips were a little overpriced at 3 bucks a pop. I ordered the chicken delight and it was good but didn't hold together too well. I didn't realize the chicken was the consistency of like a chicken salad. The owner did say the menu was in need of a refresh so maybe with that detail included I would have known more of what I was ordering. Overall the sandwiches were good and the portion was definitely hefty. This is a great spot to order food to-go, but they do have some inside seating available. There is a small parking lot available, as it's tucked inside of a little strip mall. It's super easy to miss, but I think it's definitely worth checking out this NoHo staple!

I've been a customer for a long time, the owners are very sweet and the food is just as great. I usually get the Kobi Dan or pastrami. The Lentil soup is really good as well, reminds me of a nice home cooked soup. 10/10

We went for a quick bite. The salad and falafel were great with nice dressing. The chicken sandwich was tasty and rich flavor. The most important thing was the customer service. They were friendly and had a great approach to the new customers.

This place is delicious. It's crazy because I was raised in north Hollywood and barely tried the spot out recently. The 2 sandwiches I have had, the pastrami and the Italian, were both crazy good. They perfected the toasting of bread. It's probably the most perfect toast level. The sauces on each sandwich were unique and very good. The price and portion are great as well. I'm disappointed that being in north Hollywood for decades I haven't had more of their sandwiches.

Just ordered 4 piece from them, as my friend suggested they make everything fresh and tasty! well, he was right about it!! I have enjoyed every bite from chicken dan and it was spicy.. man.. can pul one star for making everything very long (ordered went 25 mins later, and waited another 15 mins, those 2 guys enjoying the food making process hahah well deserved! thanks you got a new customer

This is such an amazing establishment. I've been going here for years and the food and service has always remained excellent. Literally everything on Hy Mart's menu is so delicious, and I always leave the restaurant in a good mood because the staff is so kind and hospitable. Their gyro is also some of the best Ive found in LA! Would most definitely recommend supporting this business, you won't be disappointed!

Shady. This is a shame because I was a somewhat regular customer, but after today I am not giving my business. I am still waiting for customer support for DoorDash to void my order after 45 minutes of waiting, since you know, HyMart said "just cancel it in DoorDash." It's not that simple. HyMart won't honor app promotions and will ask you to pay full price after you already arrive. If you don't want to comply with the app promotions, then get your business off the delivery apps!!!! Pretty simply actually. To waste the customer's time then ask them to pay full price without meeting them halfway is not right. I would have been alright with this and said I would pay full price (it already felt a bit unfair) but after I waited for my original order which should have been ready, they tried charging me extra for another side which I noticed after I checked the receipt. You've been doing this business for how long and suddenly you say the register acts funny? Very strange. Again, this left a very poor taste in my mouth and unfortunately I am not going to endorse this business further. There are many good restaurants out there that would have handled this situation far better - no matter how busy they were. Moral of the story: don't use delivery apps with them (they won't honor it) and check your receipt carefully. Feels very underhanded and all this so they can save what, 5 dollars? Not worth it at all.

I used to live in the area and I'd come here more often. Now I only come when I'm in the area and if they're open I always stop by. It's always between Gyro Gone Wild or Kobi Dan. Really though, any sandwich you get there is good. I love the friendliness of the staff. When I came more often, the owner remembers her customers which is a nice touch. If you love spice get the Ben's sauce. It used to be free and now it's $1. Worth it.

Go for the Armenian if you end up here. It has a really bizarre unfinished feeling inside and I'd say half of the sandwiches are decent. I want it to be better, but I feel like the quality of the meat is way too poor.

It's hard to find a solid sandwich shop, but I am so happy my friend recommended this one to me! I got their Pastrami sandwich and it was hands down the best one I've ever had. Service was also incredibly friendly. Highly recommend!!

This is such a delicious, local sandwich spot. Every sandwich I have ordered has been delicious. The owner packs a ton of flavor, often with Mediterranean ingredients like labne, feta cheese, herbs, olives, and tzatziki. I definitely recommend it!

This place is small but a wonderful family owned place. We went during their very busy lunch hour so we waited a bit for our food. (worth the wait, delicious) I was with my mom and 4 children. The owner came to our table and talked to us offered the kids cookies during our wait. Very genuine caring people. Enjoyed out lunch.

The Armenian Bread is so good! The garlic chicken is delicious. The other one was good too iliki chicken... you can get the Armenian bread with any sandwich for an extra charge. The lady running the shop is so personable and a great conversationalist

2 words: Ben's pastrami. Oh my goodness!! I dont say this lightly, but this was THE best sandwich I've ever had. My bf introduced it to me then apologized because i swear i could have it every day. Its that good. Fresh, spicy, and extremely flavorful!

Spicy flavorful well balanced with just the right hand to Middle Eastern flavor to it high quality ingredients perfect bread I will be coming back here as my go to the summer. Nothing better than sandwiches for lunch in the summer.

I had the Kobe Dan (beef/lamb gyro wrap) few days ago and today I had the Pastrami "Ben's way" on the Armenian roll bread. Wow wow wow both were absolutely and uniquely delicious! The Kobi Dan was spicy as heck, so you have been warned. The pastrami was medium heat, just perfect. Both sandos had a generous portion of meat. Definitely a nice hidden neighborhood gem
