"You can find mandu at many of the Korean restaurants in the Seattle area (though good luck finding any made in-house), but short of traveling to Federal Way, the only place you’ll find wang mandu (larger “king” dumplings) is at Hyang Mi, part of the tiny food court inside G Mart in Lynnwood. These homemade dumplings are filled with pork, cabbage, onions, and glass noodles, then deep-fried until golden brown and crispy. They’re a fine accompaniment to a savory bowl of jjajangmyeon." - Jay Friedman

Ordered the jajangmyeon before they closed, and it was so warm, delicious, and comforting! The man running the store is also so kind and sweet, and gave us an extra dumpling. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Google
You gotta come to the G Mart food court for the best jjajangmyun. I recommend the #9 ganjjajang (fried version jjajang). Fried dumplings and sweet & sour pork are also part of our usual order. Total for these 3 dishes came out to $60 after tax/tip.

Had a craving jajang min, got the sweet and sour pork combo, surprisingly big serving of pork, it was perfectly crunchy with moist meat that was lightly breaded, sauce was little thin but tasty. Jajang min was ok, noodles were little over cooked than how I prefer, next time I'll try 간짜장 instead. Overall pretty good meal, restaurant owner is very nice and friendly. There are not many places that serve these dishes around here. It's farther away but I prefer restaurant in Bellevue.

Google
I ordered double size cha chiang mein, appeared single size. The noodles weren't the right type (suppose to be round, not flat). Then, the sauce had a burnt, reheated too many times taste. Then, they have a advertised sign for $13, but the guy charged me $16. Won't be going there anymore that's for sure. Save your hard-earned money.

Google
Fast, polite and tasty. Feels very authentic though I’ve never been to Korea or China, but it tastes just awesome. I really appreciate that they do not lower the spice level for me like some other places do 😁

Google
Seemed authentic and good. I got the beef broccoli and it was pretty good although maybe a little bit too much thick sauce. Was served very hot. I may have wanted more vegetables too. But overall it was nice and quick and they gave me a little side dish of some pickled radishes and such.

Google
I tried Champong and Tangsuyook combination, Jjajangmyeon, and Fried mando. Champong was on quite spicy side but was flavorful! I have a high standard for Korean food, and all dishes were delicious and satisfying. The service was very fast and the owner was kind. It’s located inside G market, so dine in is not exactly dine in. But still worth trying. :)

Google
I haven’t had authentic Korean/Chinese dishes in 5 years. This place is awesome hole in the wall! Food tasted like I was back in Korea. It’s super authentic and friendly staff would definitely eat here again.

Yelp
Satisfied my jjajangmyeon craving! This place is a hidden gem tucked away in the corner of G-Mart. Generous portions for the price.

Yelp
I love this place!! It's tucked away in G-Mart but always full of humble foot traffic. The jjajangmyeon is delicious, portions are huge, and the man working the restaurant is so kind and patient. He even gave me 6 dumplings instead of the 5 promised (I ate one during the picture already...) and came back out to deliver our banchan. I'll return in the near future!! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Wanted Korean food before my flight back but seemed to have very bad luck as we visited multiple Korean restaurants that day only to find out that they were closed for one reason or another. Hyang Mi was our final stop before we were thinking to just give up but thankfully, they were open. We were a bit hesitant as there was no one there, but we were hungry so we just went for it. For the two of us, we ordered one order of the #16 (half and half) - black soybean noodle and spicy seafood noodle soup. It turned out to be a good portion size for the two of us and allowed us to try more than one thing. The lady working the counter was really nice and attentive. The flavors of the noodles were good and the noodles themselves had a nice chewiness to it. Definitely worth checking out if you like Korean/Chinese food.

Yelp
Talk about being in the middle of nowhere! I really love their sweet and sour pork. It was nice and crunchy and had a nice subtle yet savory and sweet sauce.

Yelp
We go here too often not to give this place 5 stars. We usually order the jjampong. It is probably the best item on the menu. It has a big smokey wok flavor that I cannot find in other Korean Chinese restaurants in the area. What is their secret? Wok oil and msg? I need to know so I can replicate it. Their black bean noodle is also very good. The noodles are bouncy and cooked well. The sauce is thick and not too salty. The sweet and sour pork is pretty good. It is well fried and the pork has never been overcooked or dry. The sauce is really sweet and I like how it comes separately so I can control how much sauce is on each piece of meat. The fried potsticker is average. Nothing special about them at all. The portions are generous and the price is reasonable.

Yelp
They changed owners recently, so the taste has change a lot. I got the jjampong and was the best jampong place in Seattle. Now its just so so, definitely not as good as before.

Yelp
Looking for the most delicious JJM & JJP in the Seattle Metro area? You've come to the right place!

Yelp
So convenient located in gmart. So you can go grocery before or after youbeat. The jjangmyeon was surprisingly very good. The sweet and sour pork was just okay. The customer service is great and accommodating. Overall very good experience.

Yelp
I used to come here like 10 years ago but haven't been again until couple days ago. Was craving some good steamed dumpings. I was wavering between the pork or the kimchee and decided to big pork fried dumplings and big pork steamed dumplings. The owner saw me wavering between 2 choices when I ordered and gave me 2 free kimchee dumplings for us to sample!! The Jjajangmyun was good but Jjamppong so super awesome!! I have tried many Chinese-Korean restaurants for good Jjamppong and this one is by far the best!! A lot of seafood and deep fire wok spicy flavor that isn't just "spicy." Will definitely come back often for pork dumplings and Jjamppong!!

Yelp
Just ate here and it is pricey. The food was mediocre. I wouldn't go back here and eat again.

Yelp
GPS may not instruct you to know that Hyang Mi is inside the Korean grocery store GMart. The 3 shop food court almost feels like a grungy back alley ~ hole-in-the-wall. The everlasting battle of trying to decide between Jjajjangmyeon vs Jjamppong is resolved with their combo ~ Jjam-Jja! Jjajjangmyeon ~ noodles perfectly chewy! Sauce not watered down so there is plenty of sticky ooze on the noodles and your lips. Also with sauteed onions, they did not skimp on sauce. Delicious. Jjamppong ~ smooth spicy broth, not overwhelmed with salt, additionally with good amount of seafood bites. Sweet & Sour Pork ~ nothing visually fancy but the batter was light and crispy tossed in the semisweet sauce. (hard to do). Great portion to share or take home for leftovers. The burly scowl-faced service waiter was a surprise ~ respectful, polite in mannerisms and attentive. When we thanked him for the delicious meal, he gave us a gracious bow and a crack of a smile. Noticed a considerable menu to have me come back to dine here again.

Yelp
Decent sweet and sour chicken, generous portion. Rice was perfect consistency and taste. Very lackluster basic cheap decor. Pickles on the side were a nice addition.

Kenny Y.

Yelp
A little expensive but definitely worth it! Really good jjajangmyeon and tangsuyuk. Will be coming back! Two thumbs up out of two.

Danny C.

Yelp
This place is hidden and low-key, but serves delicious Korean/Chinese cuisine. We visited on a cold and wet day, and ordered the black bean sauce noodle plus deep fried dumplings. The noodle came out nice and chewy, and the sauce was well balanced - not too salty and not too bland. The dumplings were even better, where they were crispy all around. Nice little joint serving delicious food at an affordable price. Will definitely go back again.

Hendra G.

Yelp
Great service and great food! Will definitely come back for more. Recommend this place to anyone who is craving Chinese Korean food.

Jiyeon K.

Yelp
I love it Yall should try their spicy seafood noodle soup. It has lots of flavors in it, it is thick, and spicy. Plus, fresh seafood! I cannot get sick of it. This is korean style and I ate a lot in Korea, but I think this is the best one I've ever tried so far.

SeYoung C.

Yelp
We have some eaters picky when it comes to Korean food - jjajangmyun (jjajangmyun, black bean noodles) being one of them despite being known and a Chinese-Korean dish. This is the BEST in the Seattle area according to my Korean husband. Reminds him of the stuff he ate in Korea!

Harrison J.

Yelp
Quality is down, the people working doesnt look like they want to work. My food had a nasty burnt taste to it.... step it up

Bin Đ.

Yelp
Great customer service. The clerk was very friendly and chill. He also gave me and my friends some free dumplings for talking to him in Korean. The food was also well prepared although it was our first time eating here so we weren't used to the taste. Overall, solid. Would try again when given the opportunity to be in Lynnwood again since I'm not around there.

Yelp
When you have Tasty foods with good old fashion food generosity, you can't lose. The owner passes by and see us needed rice and black bean paste, Bam! There they are on our table without additional charge. It not about the money, such generosity can only be from the small business. Awesome!

Haejin S.

Yelp
New owners took over Dumpling House and it's so much better! Hand made noodles and hand made dumplings are a must here. I regularly get their black bean noodles, spicy seafood noodle soup and a meat or seafood entree for dinner. Their beef tangsooyuk and honey walnut shrimp are my haves. Crispy even when I eat it at home. Portions are generous!

Ireneo C.

Yelp
I love fried rice. I never considered this place until I ordered some shrimp fried rice to accompany my garlic ramen from SenSen next door. It was the best decision ever, and probably the best fried rice I've had north of Chinatown. Had to order it 3 times in a months span, with 2 orders every time since leftovers are always good when you continue to crave it the next day or the family eats it up fast. Also tried their chow mein, which was flavorful that the kids loved it.

Sonny S.

Yelp
Ok, I love jampon, jja jang myun and fried shrimp with sauce, we usually go to another local place and cant stand the hmart food court. but the local place hasn't had sit down since covid and if you respect the jampon or the jja jang myun or the fried shrimp you don't eat it to go. So we looked at the reviews and decided to try. The only question mark was the number of reviews. Do not be deterred, the wok hei or wok smoke on these dishes are phenomenal, could tell it was deep flavor without a lot of msg. Incredible, artistic and excellent.

Andy K.

Yelp
Got the jjamjamyun. Basically the half half bowl of spicy seafood soup and black bean noodles... its awesome! They handmade their noodles and the dough. If you go early enough, you can watch them make it. The taste was on par with places in LA and the people are really nice!

Juanita J.

Yelp
I ordered the Combo Chow Mein and it was extremely bland for my taste. Nothing some soy sauce and hot sauce didn't fix. I'll definitely go back when shopping at Pal-Do market though. They had a tofu dish that looked delish, I'll update once I try it :)

Blake G.

Yelp
I'm a big guy alright... I order Jajang-Mewn Black Bean Gravy with Plain Noodle with Fried Gyoza for $7.99 seemed like an awesome deal. I am expecting a whole bowl to myself plus a plate with three fried gyoza then I get this split bowl; a fuckin Moses split the ocean in half bowl I realize fuck... I'm still going to be hungry when I'm done eating. Misrepresentation too late for a refund never order this so-called split noodle bowl and side for $7.99. FUCK this place

J O.

Yelp
They used to make wang dumpling which I thought was their signature dish. It probably was better than any other dumpling I tasted around, but they no longer make them. I am not quite sure why they would stop making their top dish. There is no reason for me to go there any more, because their other dishes are just mediocre.

Tina C.

Yelp
My husband and I came here for lunch. We ordered crispy mandarin chicken, pork fried rice and boiled dumplings. The wait was quite long and eventually we received each dish separately. We asked for a fork but never received one so while my husband used chopsticks I used a serving spoon to eat. The chicken was hot, slightly spicy but did not come with the vegetables shown on their sign. The dumplings were mushy and bland, even the hot chili oil could not save them. The pork fried rice was just average.
