Hyatt Regency Chicago

It was a clean room. Bed made, windows cleaned, bathroom floor...not so much. Service was excellent. Prompt, well dressed and mannered, smiles everywhere. Location was beautiful, lots of stuff to do around the building. Great scenery. We're looking to make this our getaway for the weekend hotel.

Nice hotel rooms with a beautiful view, attentive staff members, very nice facility. Great hotel for a convention. There was a very nice area for the company wide programs-- visuals and sound were good. Room was a little too cool! The breakout meeting room areas were very nice and well equipped. It would have been nice to have hot water (for the tea that was available) along with the coffee in the breakout room area.) Well done Hyatt!

We had a suite overlooking the city and river. The room was great! The bed was comfy and we had lots of places to chill and enjoy the views. We had dinner and breakfast at American Craft Kitchen and enjoyed both meals and the service was excellent. The hotel's location is fabulous - near lots of shopping, dining and entertainment options. We've stayed at this Hyatt twice. Both times were good, but we definitely prefer the East Tower .

This hotel is very clean and classy. The staff here is very kind and helpful. I always enjoy staying at a hotel you feel welcome and comfortable at and Let me tell you, this is the place. After long days of exploring Chicago it was so nice to come back to a clean, newly updated hotel room. Also, Joe at valet, he is the best so give him a warm welcome because he will definitely give you one. The only downside is the lighting in the room and bathroom isn’t great for getting ready makeup wise. We also didn’t have a view of Chicago just condos where people live so having the windows open was a little uncomfortable as you can see other people and I’m sure they can see you. The restaurant downstairs is a must! We had an amazing steak dinner there. You’re also just a short walk from millennium park and all the shopping! It’s a perfect stay!!! When we come back, this is where we will stay!

Our experience at the Hyatt was a great experience. From the time we pulled up to the property, we were warmly greeted, and all of our needs were attended too. The check-in process was seamless and very efficient, to going to the rooms to feeling very comfortable while we were there. I highly recommend this Hyatt property if you're staying in the downtown area of Chicago. The rooms were very clean, as well as all of the restaurant facilities on the property. You will not be disappointed.

As usual we had a Great time at our favorite hotel!!! The staff were all really nice and helpful. World class service in all departments and I can't wait to see them again. We had a great view of the Chicago River and enjoyed watching the people taking boat rides in the winter. At night the Magnificent Mile was lit up and we had the perfect view

The room was nice. I loved the Lakeview! The hotel was so accommodating. I really enjoyed the areas where people could sit and congregate to talk and spend time together. The American Craft restaurant was wonderful, with great food and great socializing.

Overall, fabulous. Rooms were QUIET!. Bed was exquisitely comfortable. The locale made it so that you could go any direction via your feet. On the downside, the hotel has a huge area where people could sit at tables. We figured we could bring food in and drinks we purchased in their market. As we were eating , a hotel staff gentleman rudely stopped by to tell us we needed to take everything to our room! Something needs to change there! Otherwise, experience was quite positive.

Overall this is an amazing hotel. We had a staycation here for a downtown holiday party. I expected this older hotel to be a bit dated and dingy, but instead, it was well updated. This hotel is enormous and has a "corporate hotel" feel, so it will disappoint you if you want a quaint or cozy space. Otherwise, you will probably enjoy it. Our room was spacious, with a large TV, and there was plenty of room to get ready for two people. I was thrilled that the thermostat had a very unobtrusive sound to it, if any at all, and controlling it involves a modern, user-friendly interface. Our view was minimal, a west view with a sliver of the riverwalk, but that's fine since we're local anyway. Special shoutout to the BED! It is so comfortable! It is not as firm as hotel beds usually are, but it doesn't sink in too much or sacrifice support, so most people would be happy with it. The pillows have a bit of a typical hotel problem where one is too few and two are too many, but that's so common, and I still slept great. It is idiotic to necessitate a resort fee, I'm sorry. I get the idea of making money; that is its goal! But resort fees feel sneaky and unscrupulous. We are not a resort. This is not Vegas or Hawaii, and weather-wise, I doubt you would confuse us with either location. (I also find it annoying when New York hotels have this, and almost all do.) My last concern here is that valet is run terribly. My husband tried to text the provided number but got a response saying it didn't work, wasn't in service, or something like that. Going down to the Gold level for the car, the people working in the office had a very difficult time locating us, telling us they ultimately charged the wrong person for our valet! Then they fixed it and charged us instead. They blamed it being a busy morning, but this hotel has been here for a while, and I doubt this is their first time experiencing a busy Sunday morning. Even so, this is a wonderful hotel that wears its updates well. The beds are amazing! Good night 0:)

Wifi is terrible. 6mbps are you kidding me? Is this 1990? Are they using modems here? You can't even stream a youtube video it's that bad. Further, the place is an oven. It's 45 degrees outside and 80 inside. The floor in my bathroom around the toilet was nasty right when we got here, wasn't cleaned. Gross. The $25/person buffet was not worth $25/person. It just wasn't that fancy or much more than a typical Hotel breakfast. Furthermore, they had cheese and cold cuts but no crackers to put them on? wtf? Who wants to just eat salami + cheese bare?

Love Hyatt. Great place to Stay in Chicago! They seemed renovated compared to the last time I stayed several years ago. Very nice, clean, spacious and quiet room. Nice view and walking distance to many places. Nice restaurants and bars within the hotel which was nice! Being a member also Helps to have our request granted as long as they are able to. I would come back and stay again.

Glad we stayed here...it's situated within reasonable walking distance (even in the biting cold) to Michigan Ave, State St, and other places we ventured into. Comfortable stay. Will return again someday.

I had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. From the moment I arrived, the upscale ambiance was evident. The public areas were impeccably clean and well-maintained, giving off a welcoming and polished vibe. My room on the 24th floor was spacious, modern, and equipped with all the essentials--Chromecast TV, coffee maker, refrigerator, and a safe, to name a few. The bathroom amenities were plentiful, with quality shampoo, conditioner, and even a lighted makeup mirror. The view from the room overlooked another skyscraper, which added to the big-city charm. The work desk was practical, and lighting throughout the room was excellent. My only small complaint was that the room felt a bit warm, but nothing too uncomfortable. Despite being a bit pricey, the level of cleanliness, service, and overall experience made it well worth the cost. I highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable, upscale stay in Chicago.

Hotel experience has been great with renovated rooms and beds! We had a great view for our staycation and located to everything very centralized. The lobby and restaurants are great and easy accessible!

This location is on Wacker and is the official headquarters hotel when my company has our annual meeting in Chicago every 2-3 years, so while I've never stayed here, I have worked the conference here dozens of times. The location is great and you can actually find reasonable parking close by by using Spot Hero. They also have a large circular driveway for easy drop offs. The property is two towers, connected by a skyway or a short walk across the street. They're also connected to Illinois Center for access to their food places (during the week for offices in the area), and also the Swissotel which is great because we have meetings there. The Fairmont is also behind. We have used probably every meeting room and ballroom over the years and it's a great layout for our needs. There are escalators all around to get you to where you're going.The market in the lobby is convenient for coffee and snacks and the main restaurant/bar in the lobby has decent food, including a breakfast buffet. I know the layout well and always enjoy working here. When I do need to stay I usually go to the Fairmont, only to give me a bit more privacy from the crowd. Nothing personal, Hyatt!

I absolutely loved staying here for my recent staycation!! It was so peaceful and relaxing. The staff was super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The bed was so comfortable I literally didnt want to get up! One of the restaurants in the lobby is great for breakfast or brunch. We were able to do a nice breakfast buffet at the American Craft Kitchen and Bar. I had an excellent view from the 23rd floor and couldn't stop staring out the window! Already planning my next staycation here.

I stayed here for the Chicago Marathon weekend and it was wonderful. The location is perfect with a lot within walking distance downtown. The hotel is huge with a few restaurants on site, working space and a gym. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Special for the marathon they had extra stretching, yoga mats, water and other additions for the runners. It was very thoughtful and a great touch. The rooms was spacious with comfortable beds. I would definitely stay here again!

Stayed here for a little long weekend getaway. Staff were attentive & beds were comfortable. I don't really get the whole $25/night resort fee though. Food options at the hotel were average.. Pretty much exactly what you expect. Plus, doors are definitely not soundproof. Overall, not a bad stay but not sure if I want to pay for it again.

We were in town for a funeral and this place was home for us. It is is in a prime location, has great service, it's clean, and has great amenities. There are so many Hyatt properties in The Loop and this one checks many boxes for a great stay. Being within relative walking distance of so many points of interest e.g. Riverwalk, Mag Mile, Navy Pier, House of Blues, Chicago Theater you get it. From the moment we were checked in by Raymond, throughout or stay we were greeted by great and attentive staff with service. I want to thank Dylan and his team for ensuring that our stay was great prior to our arrival. I booked 2 rooms for us any my in-laws We were in a Riverview Suite with a beautiful view of the riverwalk and John Hancock building and our in-laws only a few doors down the hall had a 1 King Bed accessible shower with a nice view of Millenium Park and Michigan Ave south of Wacker Drive. Both rooms were newly renovated and for the most part comfortable. What would have made the stay better for all of us is if the walls weren't so thin. We could hear everything from the neighbors of our respective rooms. I definitely would have appreciated our room being furnished with more cups and our in-laws would have preferred having room-service, if possible. For them being less mobile room-service would have enhanced the experience for those that have difficulty going downstairs for food. These are not complaints, but this is the feedback that may help the hotel improve for the next guests. We enjoyed dining at the American Craft Kitchen and Bar for breakfast and dinner. They offered a great menu for breakfast and a nice buffet. The service was excellent. We dined here for dinner a few times and in a city with so much great food to choose from we loved our meals there. In addition, because of my status, we had access to their Regency Club Lounge on the 35th floor of the west tower. There were good snacks and items to have while there and having a nice lounge is rare these days. We really appreciated being able to use it during our stay. We enjoyed ourselves and would return. The staff, location, service, and overall cleanliness of the hotel made this a pleasure. I hope the hotel reinstates room-service but it's a minor suggestion overall we would suggest this place in sweet home Chicago.

Overall the room was clean, well maintained with a comfy mattress. Due to a last minute upgrade request, we got a great river view room from where to enjoy the river dyeing. This was one of the best parts of staying here. The only complaint for the room is the lack of lighting in the area near the window- which was a third of the room. The hotel amenities are pretty good too. The hotel bar has happy hour specials. The coffee bar on the main floor has plenty of snacks and some warm food options as well. Although I did not order any, I was impressed that pozole was an option. All in all, the Hyatt Regency is a great hotel within the city and boasts an even better location.

On the higher end of the price scale and in an awesome location. All decent amenities, food and bar choices.

Clean modern luxury vibe room with great river view (for upgratde). Architecture cruise tour nearby (5 minute walk). Great lounge spaces with modern fireplace, and microwave available. Room has refrigerator available. Fitness center. Multiple (west and east) hotel buildings with bridges and connected under lobby level so it may take some time to learn where conference sessions are. Plenty of fast-food restaurants nearby for convenience. Over the counter medicines available on 1st floor CVS vending machine. Hotel check-in is at 2nd floor. All gender restrooms. Clean room but rusty curtain rods were a bit disappointing and gross. Architecture cruise tour 5 minutes walk. 4 minutes walk from the river walk. Giordano's chicago deep dish pizza is must try. Strongly recommend trying out Nando's and Nutella cafe.

Had a great stay here on a recent Thursday - Sunday, after getting a solid deal for this property using Priceline. When we arrived there were only a few people ahead of us to check-in. We were offered several upgrade options including a river or downtown view for something like $25 extra per night which we passed on, or a higher floor for $5 extra per night, which we took. We were given a room on the 35th floor with a great view of the lower part of the city, lower section of the Chicago River and Navy Pier in the slight distance. The room was recently remodeled, but to be frank, I wasn't a fan of the "updates" they'd made. The former decor, bedding and carpet I've seen in photos seemed much more in-line with a better quality hotel chain like Hyatt. The new design featured colors popular with HGTV-inspired quick house flips, and our room certainly looked and felt like one... grey walls and light-grey furniture, and with the grey laminate wood floors and an area rug around the bed, it felt more like a stark college dorm room or cheap apartment than a tastefully appointed hotel. I certainly expected better from a brand like Hyatt. That said, the internet was plenty fast, the TV had a good variety of channels and we made use of the in-room Keurig machine each morning of our stay here. The bed was comfortable, but the A/C didn't keep the room very cool and the fan sounded like a jet engine. The restaurant/bars in the expansive lobby were quite large, they had tons of TVs for watching sports at the "BIG Bar" and they have an on-site steakhouse and a souvenir shop, all of which offered discounts to people staying at this hotel. One thing I thought was interesting is that they did charge a "destination fee" of $25 per day to stay here, but that also gave guests at this hotel $25 in daily credit to be used at the on-site bars or restaurants. The bridge between the 2 hotel towers is set up for business travelers with several workstations and laptop-friendly seating, outfitted with power and USB charger outlets. This hotel is only a few blocks away from Millennium Park where you'll find The Bean (Cloud Gate), Pritzker Pavilion and a few other attractions, and directly across the street from stairs that lead down to the Riverwalk. There are lots of restaurants, bars and activities within easy walking distance of this property - It's in a great location for sure. When ready to check out they were happy to keep our luggage for a few hours, but when we initially asked for late check out due to our later flight, they first wanted to charge us a significant amount for a much later departure time (a few hours after our flight would've taken off), before relenting and offering us complimentary check out at 1 p.m.

Beautiful hotel, recently renovated. Good location with lots of shoes and restaurants located nearby. The room was fantastic with a comfy chaise lounge and the bed was comfortable. The onsite restaurant was good with amazingly quick service and a mixture of great options for a meal. Check-in was easy and early check-in was only $25. Bellmen were super helpful with directions and taxis.

All personal reviews are ultimately about expectations and how they are, or not met. I came in for a small conference taking place in the Grand Ballroom on premises. Check in was easy, rooms are clean and spacious for a city, restaurants are expensive as expected, centrally located and accommodating. Really did everything it needs to do in a bright, clean way. I did not park and Uber was easy here. I'd go back again.

VERDICT/VALUE Good service, good location (one end of Magnificent Mile, upstairs from a Metra rail station and a bus stop for those that attend RSNA annually), and decent rooms - it's a solid pick for a hotel when in Chicago! === 2. ROOM In December 2023, Hyatt seemed to have renovated at least some of the rooms, but not all. I was in the East Tower and my room wasn't renovated, yet all of my coworkers staying in the West Tower indicated that they had nicer, renovated rooms. To be fair then, I'll limit my critique of the rooms since they are scheduled to be changed. However, I will note that any future guest here in the East Tower will still be met with a good experience - it's like a room from a full Marriott from pre-2010 or a little after 2010 - it's not bad, but the TV is a little smaller, the lighting a little dim above the bath/shower, and the electrical outlets feel a little short in supply in 2023. Thankfully, the room is still more than serviceable, bright enough, and comfortable enough for whatever stay you may have - it just would be better in a renovated room :) === 3. FOOD I didn't try any of the on-site restaurants or bar; however, I did frequent the Market Chicago on the ground floor every night - it's great: open early and late (24/7 perhaps?) and always available for take-and-go food as well as coffee orders. Bananas are a reasonable $1.10, bagels and pastries range from $3.25 and up, a fruit cup is $5.50, the yogurt parfaits are a little pricey tho at $8, as were some of the fruit juices/smoothies. === 4. SERVICE The service at the front desk was great during multiple visits; I also tried the package receiving service for my Amazon purchase during my stay and it worked out well too - just be aware they charge per delivery and it's dependent on weight of the package.

Outstanding flagship Hyatt property. This hotel is super conveniently located right in the heart of Chicago. My room is warm and comfortable and has an amazing lakefront view. It was absolutely immaculate as well. All the furniture appears to be new too. On check in Raymond at the WoH desk was super welcoming and friendly. He went out of his way to see to my needs and find me a great room. This is despite the hotel being very, very busy. Also in the Regency Club, Yvette was also outstanding. She is the perfect host. Yvette treated me like family. It is outstanding people like Raymond and Yvette that absolutely convince me of the value of globalist status with Hyatt. They have a pretty swell breakfast buffet in the restaurant too. All in all this is an outstanding hotel! Highly recommend.

I absolutely loved my stay at the Hyatt Regency! Everyone was so friendly and helpful, valet always made me laugh as I waited for a car. Those guys made my day before it even started! Checking in was easy, and there's restaurants conveniently located in the hotel. My room was gorgeous, the beds were very comfortable. I have nothing negative to say about my stay. I loved when I'd exit the elevator and see fresh cucumber and strawberry water for the guest. When I return to Chicago I will definitely come back here!

The Hyatt is one of the bigger, nicer hotels in the area. It's actually two buildings connected with a skywalk and has a large "driveway". Within the building is 2 bars, a mini coffee snack place, and 2 restaurants- plus a gym, "club" area, and lots of seating area. Check in is up the escalator. The American Craft Kitchen and Bar comprises most of the Hyatt Residency's lower floor plan. The 3? story open concept atrium consists mostly as the back area for breakfast. Dinner area is typically the bar area of some of the breakfast seating. At night they use different colors to light the area. It offers a breakfast buffet, a $35 ish value per person. We had club passes for this stay. They also gave us coupons for free waters. The club access is in the west tower, 35th floor. They don't have breakfast but give you the buffet at the main entrance first floor, American Craft Kitchen and Bar, a $35 ish value per person. The club itself has some snacks during the day. For dinner, around 5:30 it had some roasted vegetables, raw vegetables, cheese, chicken tenders, a flavorful clam chowder. The roasted vegetables were cold on purpose but others seemed to enjoy it. Drinks are around $5-$8 each. A staff member unlocked the liquor to serve you.

It's alright. It's a large hotel with excellent service and I attended a conference here but there is no concierge or room service. You can rent a car at Sixt on the lower level but they have no cars available. I ordered from a restaurant on-site on several occasions and the food was pretty good and the order turn around is good but you have to order in person and cannot place an order beforehand. The rooms are updated and quite nice but for the size of the hotel I expected so much more,

This hotel came at the recommendation of my cousins who are Chicago residents and it did not disappoint! Here's why: Pro's: ++ LOCATION is prime! Located on the Chicago River just off Wacker and Michigan Ave, the hotel is close to everything! Restaurants, bars, shopping, Chicago Theater, etc. - the city is at your fingertips! ++ VIEWS are amazing. We booked a river view room - requesting one on a higher floor and boy, did they deliver. Our room was on the 22nd floor with the most gorgeous view of the city, water and Lake Michigan! ++ Rooms are modern, updated and large in size, creating the perfect space to spread out! ++ Staff is seriously wonderful. We arrived a little earlier than expected and had requested an early check in for just $15. When we arrived, our room wasn't ready but the attendant made a room swap and within minutes we were headed to our room! They were so helpful in providing directions, recommendations nearby and all with a smile! ++ The hotel itself is massive and features 3 different restaurants plus a market - allowing for all your dining and drinking needs! Not to mention, they have plenty of spaces for large scale meetings, weddings and more! Truly a massive property in the heart of downtown Chicago. ++ Pricing was surprisingly on point for being downtown Chicago. Although we were staying on a Wednesday and Thursday night, the room rates were under $200/night! Con's: -- We didn't experience this directly, but apparently parking here is a nightmare as it's either valet or a $40/nightly charge with more if you leave the garage more than once. Yikes! Otherwise, I'd easily return to the Windy City and stay at the Hyatt!

Massive downtown convention hotel that was nicely updated not too long ago. Two towers and lots of meeting space, bars, coffee shops, restaurants and gym. For as big as it is, very manageable to get around. Rooms are comfortable and surprisingly stylish. I stayed in the West Tower and apparently that has the best rooms. Hyatt always has very good beds and pillows. Staff is well trained and professional. Great downtown location for those that want to enjoy the city.

The Hyatt Regency undergoes extensive renovations every few years and the latest update is really top notch. Did I just write that? Well it's a pretty decent conference hotel in that one can stay totally indoors to escape the extreme heat (hot/muggy or cold/windy) of Chicago.

The Hyatt regency Chicago was honestly better than what I was expecting. First of all I want to let you guys know that this is the biggest Hyatt in the world. Go figure, in Chicago a town full of huge skyscrapers right? Haha. If you guys have the option, stay in the west tower it's where the best most up to date rooms will be located with the nicest views of the river. I was staying during my birthday week and got a corner room in the west tower, the view was delightful, the room was nice and clean and modern. There are multiple bars and restaurants here, it's a massive hotel, and many amenities I didn't even get a chance to use. The staff were very sweet and wrote me a hand written happy birthday card! That was a nice touch and made the stay a little extra special

If you're looking for a very walkable, convenient location in downtown Chicago, this place is it. So the hotel has two towers and your view is dependent on which tower you get. Initially you get assigned a pretty basic, lower level room. But I paid a $30 upgrade fee and got a higher room with a nicer view. However, I was in east tower and the west facing view is obstructed by their other tower (kinda made upgrading pointless). My recommendation would be to stay in the West tower with a north facing window if you can. You get a beautiful view of the lake and Streeterville to the east and a great view of the Loop to the west. Winter or Summer, it's great. The room is okay. Standard. Could use some renovations. TV wasn't working at check in but maintenance fixed it promptly. Ladies at the front desk were very nice. Gym is decent also with nice views. The lobby and and restaurant are beautiful. The ceiling is glass and has tons of natural light. I sometimes just come to the lobby to do my work / have a drink on a regular weekday. Hertz is in the lobby if a car is needed. Hotel is always hosting meetings/conferences/weddings (it's huge). The skywalk is a nice little aesthetic as well. The bar on the second floor is open very late which was convenient. Parking is $70 a night. Expensive but expected for the area. In the winter, if you want to walk around, it's connected to the underground Loop pedway (can get you close to Millennium Park and the River Walk).

Giant hotel located in a pretty convenient location! Quick walk to several restaurants. Around the corner from the bean! Nice large gym. Nothing too special but by no means is it awful! Has a convenience store and restaurant in the bottom! Service was fine, they want to up charge for everything. No pool but fine hotel. Rates are comparable to other neighboring hotels.

This hotel is located in a prime location right across from the Riverwalk & Michigan St. Centrally close to anything and within 20 minutes of most. The lobby is huge with a bar and restaurant that is opened from breakfast to dinner. A market and Stetson's restaurant. Take the escalator upstairs to registration and off to the side is a bigger bar. I believe this is the biggest Hyatt if not in the states, also in the world. I believe parking is like $70 per night, but if you are a Hyatt member, you get a discounted rate. The hotel is pretty modern looking with very nice decorations. There's an East and West wing. I was put in the West wing overlooking the Riverwalk and Michigan St. My king room was pretty big with an oversized chaise lounge chair. Though, I wish it was more firm. The bed was comfy, although I would have liked to have a firmer pillow. The bathroom was a good size with an adequate sink that has enough room to hold my toiletry items. I love that there's a ledge over the sink to hold more of your toiletries. The mirror has a built in clock. Shower pressure wasn't bad. Only issue was the toilet seat wasn't tightened down because it would move when I sit on it. So some things to know about this hotel, there is no pool or jacuzzi. They do not have room service and the WiFi speed for the free or $9.95 premium pricing is basically the same speed. Not sure if it's where my room is located as it was 2nd to the last. There is a fridge and safe in the room. There's also a good size desk to work on, though, the chair doesn't have any wheels on it so you can't move it around as easily. There's a Keurig looking machine for coffees or tea. Right next to the TV are power outlets with USB-A & USB-C ports. I was able to charge my MacBook Pro and other devices while plugged in. Now, one thing I really like about Hyatt is that their concierge and front desk staff was super informative and communicative. I love how someone from the Hyatt team reaches out prior to my stay to make sure I need everything and I have a point of contact if I need anything. The staff is very responsive whenever I pose a question through the chat using the Hyatt app. I have to say that Hyatt has the best customer service in this regard. It's also nice that this location has a Regency lounge for club members.

Really enjoyed our stay at Hyatt Regency. Huge hotel with great hospitality. Rooms were clean and the bedding was very comfortable. Loved the location, perfect spot for those wanting to explore downtown - a short walk to the river, millennium park, tons of restaurants and shops.

Stayed at the Hyatt Regency Chicago for 4 days. The location was super convenient as this was for a work trip. The hotel itself was interesting because there were two towers. The main area where you check in with rooms on the upper levels and a tower across the street with additional rooms. I was able to check in on my phone and didn't have to visit the front desk at all. The second tower required a key to enter the hotel after 10 pm and for the elevator so late at night, be sure to keep it handy. I was really lucky to be upgraded to to a king bed with a view of the lake and the view was absolutely stunning. The room itself was giant with a closet area, desk and enough space for one to exercise in the room. The bathroom was also a really great size and the shower was giant which was fantastic. I would definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a really nice hotel in the Chicago area with plenty of space.

Clean, spacious, convenient. Great views, everything is expensive though. Seems like a fairly safe area. Being from Birmingham, Alabama it's sorta shocking to see people, families walking around downtown.

We were here for few nights with a toddler. Very ideal location. Hyatt members can save some pts. by being strategic and coming during off-season periods. It was very central and parks/etc. were to the close proximity. After a while, you get the hang of which elevator to use and where to walk etc. to get to your hotel room. There are two wings to the hotel. The price of breakfast was actually comparable to few other places we tried while we were in Chicago, so next time we'll probably do the same and not bother with walking to a restaurant/cafe for breakfast. Clean room and no issues with Wifi. The valet was reasonably quick to get our car. There is a super-close parking structure that those who don't want valet could potentially use. This will probably be other next go-to hotel when we are back in Chicago again. Highly recommend them.

I came here for a conference and stayed here because the conference is in this hotel. The rooms are very nice and the view is great! Check-in was easy and fast. There are a lot of complementary items if you forgot anything. The hotel is also located close to several major attractions and restaurants. There is a Starbucks on site and several other restaurants located in the hotel. It is a little confusing to get around.

Wow! It all starts in the lobby! Excellent lobby! Great dining. This hotel showcases a nice huge lobby with restaurants, coffee and bagel shop, beautiful lights, and an assortment of colors and ambience. The second floor is very welcoming for guests checking in. A nice setup of computers and social events is located near, by. This hotel is first rate! The service is excellent. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Prices are $400-$650 for a room. Excellent hotel to feel like you are on vacation! 6 stars!

This place has amazing nachos! The bar people are great and always nice to you, and they hook you up with the fries. Also they play good music!

The check-in process was fairly smooth, my only issue was that the room was not ready, and I chose to upgrade which is fine. And they also do not have a parking garage. They only offer valet parking for around $70 a night which is a bit too pricey for me and I wish that there was a disclaimer somewhere that said that. All of the staff that I spoke to her very pleasant and nice. Throughout my stay I kept getting hot and turning the air lower or putting the fan but nothing seem to be working. It seemed off for on of there "newly remodeled" the ac unit was not working property.

Ok hotel w, good location. Nothing exceptional, nothing horrible either. Decent place to stay and be near lots of good attractions

This is my favorite hotel when I come to downtown Chicago for partying. I try to stay in this hotel; of course a very pricey hotel; remember breakfast is very expensive, this is once in a lifetime shot . a very beautiful viewfrom the hotel.

Enjoyed my short stay here for a conference. Reserving online was easy. Check in and out was fast. Did I ever really know where I was in the building? No but there are maps everywhere. Couldn't ask for a better location. Right on the river and just a short walk to the lakefront. The service and food served at the conference was great. Always hot and tasty. Good WiFi throughout. I didn't eat at any of the places in the hotel but they looked very nice. I had a king room that looked out on the River in the main tower of the hotel. It was a sizeable room. Comfy bed. They need more outlets by the bed for USB and such. Everything was across the room. Really nice bathroom and toiletries. Definitely enjoyed my trip.

Room was very large with a lot of lighting options, shower had good water pressure and got nice and warm, bath products smelled good, and staff was SUPER helpful across the board (big thanks to the person who didn't laugh at me when I realized I forgot to check out). Nice views and a decent gym. Beds were way too soft, there was TONS of hall noise despite being in a "quiet room" so my sleep was constantly interrupted, and the conference rooms felt like bunkers. So, a 50/50 experience.

I've stayed here a few times and have never had any real issues. The front desk workers and any staff I pass by are always friendly and helpful. They give me a lot of info about the hotel, restaurant, and good spots in the area. The hotel is big and has a nice lobby. The connecting wing to the East building has a gym and cute seating area. The rooms are spacious and they offer little amenities like cotton swabs, cotton balls, and a shower cap, in addition to the standard soaps and lotion. The location is convenient and it's walkable to everything. Millennium park is 5-10 min by foot. There's a pizza spot a couple blocks away, along with tons of other food places. You can easily cross the bridge to all the bars and restaurants. I don't love that the shower water pressure is meh. But it's not bad! Don't get me wrong. My last stay, there was a booger on the top sheet of one of the clean beds that grossed me out, and a black speck of something on the pillow. The other bed didn't have anything so I slept in that one. Otherwise, the room was very clean. I think this was just a one off because I haven't had anything like this in the past.

this was my first big trip as an adult. I was so excited to be in the city of Chicago with my younger sister! This hotel was amazing, we absolutely had no complaints, the beds were so soft. Staff was nice, we didn't have any bad interactions at all. We feel very comfortable and safe here, but I'm from Detroit, so not much scares me LOL 10/10

Christine at the front desk was terrific at check-in. Despite a full hotel for a Becker's event, she got me on a high floor at the end of the hall and I NEVER mind paying extra to do that. The layout of this hotel has winding hallways so it tends to be more quiet than typical long hallways. Stetson's downstairs offers sushi/steak and premium drinks in a dark, sexy atmosphere. Too bad they don't enforce a business dress code to elevate the experience. (No shorts, no T-shirts, no sports attire, no hats/caps). I'm at this hotel 3-4 times per year for events and so far, always top tier.

I stayed here during my last day/night in Chicago and it was the perfect way to end my amazing trip to the Windy City (which wasn't all that windy when I was there). Check-in is up the escalators on the second floor. It seemed like large groups tend to stay here so I tried to make a bee-line to the check-in counter to beat the crowd that just came out of a large bus. I was able to check in pretty quickly and the girl asked if I'd be ok with a smaller, corner room, but with a view of the river. I was by myself so that was completely fine with me. There are two towers and my room was located high up in the West Tower. The room felt a little dated, but comfortable and the view -- aaahmazing! I loved looking out of the window and seeing the river below, especially at night. The bed was comfortable and the room was the perfect size for one person with ample outlets for charging all the things. There was also another door that connected to the adjacent room and I could hear the people in there a bit, but not for long. The great part about this hotel is that it is very centrally located. The Chicago Riverwalk is right across the hotel, Navy Pier was an easy 10-15 minute walk, The Bean was less than 10 minutes, and it's near many eateries and shops with a handful within the hotel itself. They also have a Lyft bike rental parking near the West Tower which I wish I knew about earlier. I parked my bike there and it was definitely convenient! I would definitely recommend a stay here!

Please do yourself a favor and do not hold events or weddings here. Do not get a block of rooms for your wedding or event, and do not do business with this hotel. They charged us double for the room, despite our telling them numerous times that we had already paid. Now, instead of a refund coming through, they're requesting a THIRD payment. I will have to spend another 30 minutes on the phone with them clearing this up. I will be reporting them to BBB, and possibly suggesting they are investigated for fraud. This is, without a doubt, the sleaziest, slimiest, most dishonest garbage I have dealt with as a consumer in America. Yelp should allow zero stars as an option. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!

He is a True Professional in the hotel industry!! All the hotel employees work Hard to please the guests. Very attentive, good attitude & super friendly employees Everywhere - I was IMPRESSED with the service from all. Dangelo in the business center is a sweetie. Darius at front desk is Amazing & Very Pleasant - very Impressed!! Zumba (Jose) & Rosalio at American Craft restaurant were attentive & friendly. * Stylish & Chic design throughout. Totally my vibe. Lux & Chic. * Gorgeous views of the city * Great location - close to everything. Just off of upscale Michigan Avenue. Awesome to Walk to the sights from here. * Yummy food at the restaurants here. We got an awesome deal to stay here through Priceline. It's in an amazing location downtown and if you get the right room, there are incredible views. We chose to upgrade our room at check-in for a better view and when we opened the door, we were not disappointed! We had an awesome view of the riverwalk and from the window right outside our hotel, we could see Lake Michigan. Our favorite thing about the hotel was it's location. The Hyatt Regency is right by the Wrigley Building and you could totally walk to Navy Pier if you wanted. It's in the Magnificent Mile area, right off Michigan Ave. and about a mile to Water Tower Place. You're also within walking distance to the Art Institute, Millennium Park, and all of the shopping Chicago's known for. We had a ~situation~ while we were here that kinda put a damper on the mood. After we checked in, we went out for a long walk and had dinner. When we came back, my boyfriend took his shoes off and immediately noticed that the carpet was soaking wet. Somehow, the floor had low key flooded (maybe from the air conditioning unit? a connected room with an overflowing bathtub, a redrum type of ghost situation? You see where this is going...). We had to change rooms, and were super disappointed when our view was less stunning. But at the end of the day, i just kinda hope everything was okay in that other room. The front desk staff was very accommodating, and seemed to be as perplexed as we were at the cause. It took about an hour from the time we got back from dinner to move out of the first room into the second room--and like, it's only an hour, but an hour of your time at 10pm when you're on a little mini-vacay seems like too much. To be fair, I feel like the staff did everything they could to make it better short of comping our room. They were extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay.
