We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It had a really cool design. The 2 queen bed room was spacious, very clean, and the bed was super comfortable so we slept great every night. We stayed in a city view room and the view was even better than we expected, especially in the evening. The food was good, which made it easy to grab a bite without having to leave. Overall, everything was just easy and relaxing. We had a great experience and would definitely stay here again.

My daughter and I have stayed here 2x for the girls National Volleyball tournament. We love the location because it's a short 10 min walk to the convention center and far away the craziness at the Omni. You simply take the escalator downstairs to the tunnel and walk another 3 short blocks to the convention. Easy! Both times I checked in with the Globalist status but the hotel did not offer any room upgrades. We did request a higher floor room not facing the atrium to avoid the noise that travels up from the open atrium. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. Shower has good water pressure . Hotel honors free breakfast, water, parking for Globalists. Since our games start bright and early at 7am we cannot eat breakfast at the restaurant but we were able to get food at the cafe each morning. The hotel allocated $25 for f&b per person each day. Tip: If the hotel is one of the "stay and play" sponsored hotels, they will also offer free late 6pm checkout. |I like the location of the hotel because it's a short walk to the Dealey plaza and Exchange food hall. 10 min ride to the arts district, Terry black's, Love field airport. |Would definitely stay here again!

This is the best bed I have ever had in a hotel. I travel a lot, so I know whereof I speak. It’s nice. That being said, the building is showing its age. There was hair around the shower and strange stains on the ceiling. Overall I think the halls could stand to be vacuumed. I would stay here again, if for no other reason than the beds.

Every year we travel to Dallas to do one last trip before school starts plus some shopping. We will usually stay in Frisco, but this time stayed in Dallas at Hyatt Regency. Best Decision! It was so central to all the places we love to visit. Staff was friendly - especially the staff from Monduel's. They were so nice and have been there for years. Looking forward to coming back and seeing everyone again!!

As a Hyatt member my husband and I travel all the time and we only stay at hyatts and truthfully this weekend was a great experience at this regency location! The front desk night work Tiger I believe was his name was friendly and so hospitable the first night we arrived. The rooms were immaculately clean and even smelled fresh! The view was great, especially the glass elevators over looking the restaurant and bar, which both have *late night menus for those who are traveling late and need to grab something to eat. The pool was great although it was very small, there was a cute coffee shop in the lobby which was very convenient! One of the best weekend trips in a while!

I am enjoying my stay at this hotel. I am here for a conference at the hotel. The room service was extremely well done and efficient. Staff are beyond helpful as the conference attendees are persons with disabilities physical or visual impairment. An example of what it truly means to have both equity and equality in customer service and care. An ovation to the staff of this location and hosting this unique conference that brings 100s of people.

The employees are top-notch, and the rooms are a good quality. The restaurants' prices are far higher than the quality of food. The self-parking parking lot is a little walk from the hotel. I don't mind a little morning jaunt, but having your guests cross a sketchy road is inhospitable. Why would the self-parking lot not be the closer one? Or, the hotel should have been designed with a larger parking garage. The parking lot was also trashy. The intersection that leads into the self-parking parking lot has some flaws that can be addressed. The road that circles the hotel is a one-way road that runs counter-clockwise, and the street in front of the hotel is one-way as well. So, when one is leaving the hotel, one must turn left. That is the same direction as the sidewalk one must use to walk to the self-parking parking lot. The crosswalk sign is coordinated such that those who are turning left (the only direction you can turn) get a green light at the same time as the walkers. So, the pedestrians and the drivers are always at odds. The parking lot is entry-controlled, which I imagine is owing to a good cause. But, there is only enough room for one car, and the entry controls are not situated on extended arms to make them easier to reach from a car. So, there are backups, and sometimes cars get stuck in the road, unable to go forward or reverse, and there are constantly cars coming around the corner. The hotel is nice, and I can't say enough good about all the employees.

When we visited Hyatt Regency Dallas on a Monday afternoon as part of our first trip to Reunion Tower, we were immediately impressed the moment we stepped into the hotel lobby. Spacious, modern, waterfalls, and full of natural light, the lobby sets the tone for the experience. It's stylish without feeling overdone, and everything was spotless and welcoming. You can feel the energy of the city right from the entrance. As the main access point to Reunion Tower, the lobby made everything smooth and easy. Staff were friendly, helpful, and made us feel like valued guests, even though we were just visiting the Tower. Whether you are staying at the hotel or just passing through, the Hyatt lobby is a great place to pause, grab a coffee, or simply admire the stunning architecture before heading up for the view.

Yelp
The Hyatt Regency in Dallas has always been a go-to hotel of mine to stay at whenever I'm visiting. It's in the heart of Dallas, so everything's nearby or a short drive away! This hotel is HUGE and part of Dallas' skyline... very beautiful at night. The convention center is only a 4 min drive away, less than 20 minutes walking. The Reunion tower is also connected to this hotel. HIGHLY RECOMMEND visiting if you haven't! The views are amazing! The restaurants/bars inside are also great. Like if you don't feel like going out and leaving the hotel, their restaurants are lovely options, cannot go wrong.

Yelp
Let's start by saying this is a high traffic hotel!! Right in the heart of Dallas and truly a HUGE hotel. You can tell it's an event/ commercial hot spot because of the sheer amount of groups, from corporate conferences to sporting events and large celebrations. I stayed here while in town for a business conference and this is where our company booked us. I was definitely impressed with the room and number of amenities at the hotel. Multiple restaurants and bars, a great fitness center, cafe, store and huge rooms with a view! It felt clean and updated and I had no issues with my actual room or hotel service. There were a lot of people at all times in all areas, so I wouldn't choose this hotel again for leisure or a moreso "relaxing" stay. We ate at the restaurant and the food was ok--nothing to write home about. My biggest complaint is that there is a really large atrium in the center of the hotel where the restraints and bars are. My room was on one of the middle floors facing the atrium and I could hear every noise from my room until late in the night. I was woke up multiple times by cheering, yelling, kids running down the hall, laughter and loud talking ALL night from the atrium. These rooms are clearly not sound proof. I did call concierge and the offered to move me rooms but it was 1 in the morning and I had an early work day and was not expecting to pack up my room and move in the middle of the night. I was extremely frustrating and feel the should mention these rooms can get loud if you are in one of these rooms. It was not ideal to deal with when needing to be up and moving at 5/6am. Other than that, the hotel is what you can expect! Oh and the pool area sucked. Definitely don't book here if you're wanting a summer escape in the water.

Yelp
Always liked this Dallas iconic hotel. Defining part of the Dallas skyline. Dinner at reunion tower is always a great view of the city. If visiting Dallas definitely put this on your tourist list.

Yelp
great location and room with a view, front desk help was fast and friendly checking in, valet parking was good didn't have to wait for car too long, and bed was comfortable. The bar was convenient and made good drinks. Secondly staying here again.

Yelp
I was looking forward to a night at the Hyatt as it is such an iconic hotel. I have lived in Dallas all my life and just wanted to stay to celebrate getting married on Valentine's Day. The hotel is old. The carpets are worn and dirty. The sink in our room was cracked. Like a big crack. The finishes on some doors were worn and just gives off a vibe of not being cared for. I had reserved a king and was given a double queen. Too tired to request a change. I was not impressed and had wanted to like it due to the good reviews I had read. The location is optimal but the hotel needs upgrading. Making the bathroom door a sliding door is not enough of an upgrade.
google avatar

Tom S.

Yelp
Definitely a decent place to stay. Stayed in a tower overlooking the rail line, so you can hear that at time. Sometimes you can hear people in the hallway if they are a bit loud. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Great views from the room of the city skyline. The hotel is kind of tucked away on it's own. That leaves a lack of dining options that you'd get at other hotels in the area that are more centrally located. When I was there, there was some sort of conference and I'm guessing that's why the restaurant was buffet style. Found out after 45 minutes in line that was all, no menu to order from, so had room service. Better communication at check-in about that would have been nice. The drop off area for cars could use more organizing, or bigger area for everyone coming through. Takes a bit at times.

Yelp
Overall very impressed by this hotel. At one point I had Hyatt status, and I didn't think I had it anymore, but apparently I still do... I arrived around 11:00 a.m. on Sunday expecting to wait for a room, but the front desk employee (Michelle) got me into a room right away, which was great. I was there for a conference and someone else I talked to at the conference said they had the same all-star treatment, though, so it wasn't just me. The initial room they assigned me to apparently wasn't ready, but the Michelle said she could get me into a different room - a "better room" that's also more "female friendly," although I'm not sure what that means. Regardless, my room on the 17th floor was extremely comfortable, especially the bed. (It was tough to leave it today!) Pros: -Super comfy king size bed (I had a king room) -A lot of drawer space and closet space -Nice bathroom, although with some odd (maybe old?) saloon-type bathroom doors -2 water bottles free per day for me (since I have status with them) and 2pm checkout -Very nice venue for a convention. A large hotel but not too large that you can get lost easily IMO -Has a pool, although I didn't use it, plus a restaurant, bar, and coffee shop -Nightlight - when you walk across the room to the front or bathroom, when all the lights are off, a small nightlight goes on. I haven't seen that before and it's a smart feature to have. Picky cons (which don't affect my 5-star rating): -Shower only (no bath) and quite slippery -Room seemed to be either too cold or too hot no matter what temperature I set it at, but I am picky about temperature -Kinda/sorta within walking distance to things but in Texas it seems like most people will drive places instead of walk -I usually like to sleep on the right side of the bed but didn't see any charging outlets. Lo and behold, there were two of them, but only on the left side of the bed. Since it's just me this trip it didn't matter, but if I had a companion they might have wanted to charge their devices too. Overall I would stay here again the next time I visit Dallas. Michelle was my front desk employee again for checkout today too, and remembered me, asking how the convention went and if I wanted a water for my ride to the airport - very good customer service.

Yelp
The Hyatt Regency Dallas is a 28-story, 1,120-room hotel in Dallas and is one of the largest near the Convention Center! Easy to find, look for Reunion Tower which is right next to it! High end hotel and the staff is absolutely 5 stars! Rooms are 5 star and the entire facility is as well. It is well maintained! The views are fantastic at sunrise, sun set and at night! Lots of places to keep you busy if you remain on site! Lots of places near by, but take Uber/Lyft/Taxi.
google avatar

Laura G.

Yelp
Third time staying at this hotel! 5 stars for cleanliness 5 stars for customer service 5 star for the bar because the drinks are STRONG and just right! Never had any issues when staying at this Hyatt. Plus we found a cute little book near the restaurant. It was a signed copy of Tommy's Magical Wheelchair by Yolanda Pigatt. Hope I spelled it correctly. The hotel said my daughter could keep it! As you can see below she has it on her table now. Top tier customer service. I'd definitely be staying here again.

Yelp
I'm a World of Hyatt Member and this is currently the best Regency hotel I've stayed at this year.... Location: Centrally located in Dallas, the Hyatt Regency were short drives or Uber rides to all the shopping, dining and touristy areas we visited. Additionally, the Regency is adjacent to the iconic Reunion Tower. This was a great visual point of reference of our hotel whenever we were exploring. Additionally, if you want to take the Reunion Tower tour, you can walk to the entrance from the hotel lobby...which we did. Staff and Service: Everyone friendly, personable and professional. The front desk staff was awesome checking in and checking out. Customer service reps welcomed me via text message when I checked in. They helped me with property questions and confirming my late check out request via text. Excellent. The Valet staff were efficient and helpful with local directions. Housekeeping: The staff was friendly and on point. Amenities Gift Shop - Fully stocked with drinks, snacks, souvenirs and sundries. It felt like a mini whole foods with their quality selecltions Fitness room: Tons of cardio equipment, workout machines and a full rack of dumb bell weights to get your workout in. Lobby - Spaciously massive and inviting with water fountains for pics. Room Clean with modern furniture. The long desks allowed me to get some work done for a couple of hours. The big flat screens were modern and I was able to connect my phone so I could watch from my Amazon Prime and YouTube accounts. The bed was comfortable with soft pillows. The bathroom had plenty of water pressure and hot water. This is my go to hotel for all my future Dallas visits. Safe Travels!

Yelp
Came for a convention hosted by the hotel, and had a great stay. Both the rooms and staff were excellent, and our stay was reasonably priced. Despite the high volume of people there, the staff handled everything from check-in to valet service to bag check with ease, and kept the area quite clean. We did have some issues with elevators going out repeatedly, but they were generally serviced and ready again the next day. I would have no hesitation about staying here again.

Yelp
Absolutely cherished my stay at Hyatt Regency Dallas Downtown. Check in experience was great where I was able to get access my room at 2 PM. Room was large and spacious with all the necessities for a comfortable business stay. Loved going up and down on the elevators that had a view of Reunion Tower and the lobby bar. Grabbed snacks and an actually decent wine in a can from the Coffee's Post at the lobby level. Also enjoyed a night cap and delicious quesadillas with good service at Monduel's on the 2nd floor. Location of the hotel was convenient with easy access to downtown for both business and leisure activities. I would definitely stay here again!

Yelp
We recently stayed at the Hyatt in Dallas (July 6-11). The hotel is gorgeous. The checking process was very easy for both my friend and I who arrived on different days. I love their little show they have with coffee and grab and go snacks, this was clutch for us. I would definitely come back!
google avatar

Dannette S.

Yelp
Avoid the skyline tower unless you don't mind incessant train noise. The hotel itself is nice, rooms are good sized, clean and the bed is comfortable with great pillows. However the train noise is constant and the whistle from the train starts at 4 am. I would never stay here again due to the train noise. Other towers didn't have the same issue, but I wouldn't chance it.

Yelp
Here's an honest review, no gimmicks or bribes.... My husband and I stayed four nights at this property and had a wonderful stay. Our room 459 faced the bar area. I am a light sleeper and could hear some noise but it wasn't bothersome to me. If you're an extremely light sleeper or a complainer, ask for a room not in this area. We opted not to have housekeeping come in everyday but when we needed something, they were VERY quick to accommodate. Also, the ladies we interacted with are so sweet. Some features of our room showed wear and tear but it wasn't bad. The fitness gym was always well maintained and well stocked with clean towels. The view while working out is motivation enough. The gym isn't huge but it has everything you'll need with plenty of space. The dining here in my personal opinion is decent especially if you're exhausted or in a bind. I liked eating off property personally. **Major Plus*** in their market place they offer a lot of gluten free options. If you are celiacs, to see this you know the joys! All the staff that my husband and I had the pleasure of interacting with were so kind and helpful. For the small negatives, the staff makes up for it. Positive stand outs: -elevators are fast as fuck! -rooms are spacious -many dining options -hotel smells good and is kept clean in common areas

Yelp
Check in was easy and quick. The hotel is clean . It is very dated though and can use some remodeling. There is no onsite parking unless you valet for $40 per night. If you self park it's a short walk back to the hotel. The furniture in the room had paint peeling out as well as around the beds . The restaurant in the hotel was ready good. This hotel can be much nicer with a remodel .

Yelp
The Hyatt Regency Dallas is one of the largest convention center hotels in Dallas. It's connected to the iconic Reunion Tower. While this hotel is best if you're attending a convention, I stayed here for a staycation and came away pleasantly surprised. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars for my experience 4 Stars if you're staying here for a convention 3 Stars if you booked through a travel website Atmosphere - If you've ever seen the Dallas skyline, you've noticed the Reunion Tower (the building that looks like a dandelion). This tower is fixed to the Hyatt Regency Dallas, a 1200+ room hotel and convention center. The lobby is open, clean, and full of energy from visitors. It's also very nice. The hotel appears to have been remodeled. 1 Star. Service - I made my reservations through the World of Hyatt program (free to anyone), and a few days before my visit, the Hyatt team reached out to welcome me. After a few e-mail exchanges, I shared some requests and the team made it happen. My expectations were blown away. Thank you Oscar and the Hyatt team for helping us upgrade to an amazing room! Also, the valet was always extremely busy, but the team always kept things moving. Kudos to the entire team. 1 Star. Facility - While I was here for a 3 day weekend, I took some time to explore the hotel. It's big - massive. The Lobby floor contains numerous meeting rooms, as does the floor below. My room (2622) was recently remodeled. It was very spacious, contained accent lighting, and a huge 60" TV. We also had the adjacent room (2620) with access to separate living and dining areas. Best of all, we were located downtown, easily accessible via Uber or the underground walkways. Thanks again Oscar for the upgrade as the rooms were fantastic. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes, but I have to offer some disclosure. My experience was amazing, and it was 5 Stars. If you were staying at the Hyatt Regency Dallas for a convention, you will be very pleased. However, if I recommended a hotel to an out-of-town friend, I would probably refer them to a boutique hotel. YMMV. 1 Star. My Yelp Rating Scale (Sum of all parts): 1 Star - Atmosphere - Is it a cool dive? Perhaps an upscale place? No matter the type, atmosphere plays a big part and I'll give a star if I like it or thinks it has great charm. 1 Star - Service - You can have a great meal with bad service. But that's also what can make a five star joint drop to four. It's important to the dining experience that service is great and on point. 2 Stars - Facility - I'll award up to two stars for the facility, since this is the main reason we go out. Sometimes the extra star is given for value, but it's really all about the facility. 1 Star - Will I come back? - If I know for a fact I'll return, I'll give this a star. A place has to make an impression for me to return. Each Category can be given up to 1 star except food (2 stars) because I consider all these categories important to the overall dining experience. I will sum them up to provide my final Yelp score.

Kelly G.

Yelp
Wow! She is so unprofessional! After flirting with my husband all night (which I did not say a word about) talking about how she was so single and how she managed the 2 restaurants and the bar and she has the privilege to stand around because she has the title too and she doesn't have to actually work. Talking about her piercing if hey smell or not. Eventually she asked who was actually together since it was myself and 2 men she realized my man wasn't single and because of that decided to cut my husband and I off, but not the other friend that we were with so it definitely feels personal and immature and be incredibly rude and ruined our experience and stay . This hotel is not a place I would recommend. We book these nights away to have a good time have good food and decompress and because of her it was the worst's experience. I would never come back she should be fired! I will be filing a formal complaint in the morning and an email straight to corporate. This is unacceptable.

Yelp
Staff- food-room- all amazing but the internet is slow. Don't plan on getting things done.

Yelp
This hotel is a grand treat! Located equidistant to everything in downtown Dallas! Michelle and Edgar are two words AWE-SOME!! Great check-in, clean hotel and room! Great restaurants on-site! I look forward to coming back. Great Dallas, Texas hospitality!!!

Yelp
This was my second time staying at the Hyatt Regency and we stayed for a whole week and a half!!! The staff was very accommodating and helpful with requests. The only thing I wish was that they allowed microwaves in the room. Only a fridge is standard in all rooms. If you want to warm up food you have to go down to the lobby or 5th floor near the ice machine. Elevators are quick! Housekeeping is prompt when requested. The furniture in the room did need a bit of updating. The couch and headboard were starting to peel. The pool is small, but refreshing on a hot day! They have a few Cabanas and towels available. Valet and bell hops were quick and so efficient when we arrived. When we left the valet was a mess and the valet counter would not release our car yet because they did not inform me to have the hotel front desk out the charge on our room. Apparently it's not automatic like other properties. There was a long line just to learn this. I had to go back and forth to front desk and when I returned to valet they wanted a receipt which they did not tell me to provide when I left. A mess, but not the hotels fault. I blame the valet. They were also dealing with a lot of departures and arrivals, but by now should have it figured out. Overall lovely stay I was just the valet that was unpleasant.

Yelp
I was in Dallas for a convention, and one of the locations that I went to was the Dallas Hyatt. I did not spend the night there or anything, but I did experience their conference rooms and catering for the conference rooms. Some positive things about the Hyatt... It has easy access to the Dallas tram system, which I took advantage of. It made short work of getting across the city from my hotel. Walking through the tunnel under the train tracks was a bit creepy, but I had no issues with it. There are a good number of convention rooms, and they are well equipped. The food that was catered for us was also good. It was just breakfast and lunch items, but they were tasty and filling without being too messy, which is always an issue when you are running around. The only issue I saw was that the lobby area outside of the conference rooms had limited seating, so a lot of people were grabbing food and bringing it back into the conference room.
google avatar

Holly C.

Yelp
Stayed here for a work conference held at the hotel, so my stay was paid for, otherwise I would be very very upset. The good parts, the hotel is nice and the conference rooms are nice and spacious. The conference food provided was also pretty good. And for the people interested in exploring the Reunion Tower or Union Station, there's direct indoor walkways to them. The staff was friendly. As for everything else. The room was fine, though I swear the king size bed felt smaller than other king beds in other hotels. My bed didn't have a fitted sheet...only multiple, like 3 flat sheets (so weird!). All of the bedside outlets were on one side of the bed, so if you have someone in bed with you, one of you can't charge your device(s). I appreciate the large bottle shampoo/conditioner set up to be less wasteful/more eco friendly. Back to the bed. Omg, most uncomfortable pillows ever! They're either so overstuff like rocks or so flat and limp (like they've been used for 30 years). My neck hurt. The room doesn't come with bottled water, which isn't a deal breaker, but the water out of their water fountains taste awful! The bathroom faucet water was better. The hotel is an atrium style, so EVERYTHING ECHOES!!! So if there's a screeching child, you hear it all! Or if there's a large drunken gathering in the second floor open area bar...you also hear everyone, wven with the water fountain running for white noise. My stay was during the week, so only had to endure one night of the "family friendly" atmosphere. And like what others have said, the weekends are packed with various kids' competitions. It is not pleasant. Even our uber driver told us about how often they pick up dads from this place to escape to go drinking. Lastly...wtf is up with this place only having pepsi products?!? Even in the vending machines/lobby shop, they only have pepsi!

Yelp
I enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt Regency Dallas. Very comfortable room. Love the leather recliner. The room was pretty spacious. Bathroom was modern and clean. The staff member I spoke to at the check-in desk was very friendly and professional. Nice on-site bar. Didn't get to try the breakfast, but I hear it's pretty good. The hotel is close to many food and entertainment options in downtown Dallas. I would definitely stay here again.
google avatar

Yelp
If you want to enjoy your stay here, avoid the valet! Also avoid being stuck in a room overlooking the rail yard. You'll be annoyed by the noise by day and awakened at night, even if you're on the 23rd floor! When we got a sunset suite, our stay was pretty great, but when we got a city view room things went terribly wrong. The only breakfast option now is a buffet, which was disappointing. The valet promised to, but did not charge our car, which was even more frustrating. The fact that we couldn't call down for our car was annoying. We couldn't text for our car, which is pretty standard now. When we called the front desk, they told us we had to physically walk our ticket to the valet window, which is ridiculous. The additional 20 minutes it took to get our uncharged car were even more frustrating. Y less you get a crazy good deal here, I would just stay at a less expensive property with better service.
google avatar

Chris P.

Yelp
Very nice Hyatt and stay! Greeted by Edgar upon check-in and he upgraded our room and gave us waters! He also gave us some discounts at the hotel store! Everyone was friendly at the hotel, very accommodating! The hotel has restaurants, a store, coffee shop, gym and pool! Everything is right there. The hotel is in walking distance to Dealey Plaza, Reunion tower and downtown Dallas! The room was quiet! Really great stay! I would come back!

Yelp
Forced stay - coutsey United Flight cancelation. Well maintained downtown property and the guest rooms had a feel for luxury via their fittings and fixtures. Yea -- everything is big in Texas, so was not surprised by that big flat screen TV! The front desk was very efficient and took care of hoard of accomodations needed due to several flight cancellation. It's not exactly that close to the airport but then you get to enjoy the downtown Dallas views.

Yelp
BE AWARE OF THE VALETS !!!! PMSI employees will impersonate Hotel management- I have witnessed them damage a car on purpose- I have seen them speed down the side streets- I have been told they go through glove boxes looking for anything they can- even home addresses. BE AWARE- if you have any problems this gentleman stated he would help- though I am still waiting for the end result- Parker Chivington- 770.329.4366 Embarrassing behavior for such a nice hotel.

Jacob F.

Yelp
Rating the Valet Service: The valet service was incredibly slow and disorganized. Workers appeared to be standing/wandering around. There was no acknowledgment of us as we waited both when dropping off the car and picking it up. With only one car in front of us we waiting 2-3 minutes while workers walked by, and the worker with the car in front had a conversation with the driver. Picking the car back up was just as frustrating with the cashier being curt, and no communication on if the car will be brought around or if another associate would need to see the receipt first. It was a generally slow, confusing and ultimately frustrating process. For a high class hotel and a minimum valet charge of $26, we expected greater focus on the customer experience.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this hotel but disappointment continued through out our two night stay. While in town for the Dallas Marathon, I booked two nights since it was 5 blocks away from the start/finish line and I really like Hyatts. Upon arrival, the hotel offers valet ($32) and self parking ($19). We chose self and it's just down the hill from the lobby. While the hotel was probably built in the 80s, they've done a good job of updating and keeping it nice. Check-in and the front desk was very friendly and helpful; this was the case with all staff during our stay. There are numerous elevators here and they move quickly. There are several restaurants/bars in hotel. The food was decent but not something I'd seek out unless staying at the hotel. We experienced a few issues that required a room move, parking issue and a couple other issues. Upon checkout the bill was accurate and I spoke to a supervisor regarding several issues experienced during our stay. The supervisor was very apologetic, took notes to address issues and worked to make things right. It's because of their effort to make things right they earn a 3 star review. I don't make it to Dallas often and I don't see myself returning here, unless I'm attending an event at one of the meeting spaces. If I do return I'll be sure to request a quiet room facing the greenway.

Yelp
I would have to agree with the rest of the reviews. This place is pretty mediocre especially considering the price. Stayed here a couple of nights on a recent trip. They do charge a pretty high rate for parking here overnight. The hotel seem to be beautiful and glorious at sometime in the past, but time has not been kind. This place definitely needs a remodel or a facelift. The rooms were mediocre, also need some updating. The mattress was sinking and slanting to one side. For a hotel of this star rating, this was unacceptable. We also try to get some quick snack from the snack bar near the lobby, and everything was super expensive and tiny portion size. Overall not worth it for the price. And check in was kind of a hassle.

Yelp
The room service is fucking horrible. The hotel is good. The staff is good. The amenities and conn space are good. Not a bad convention site. But by God get door dash.

Yelp
Gorgeous hotel and extremely comfortable and spacious room. Everything was great especially they have a little cafe, store open 24 hours so no need to go anywhere until....the cost of parking on top of the room costs. That alone....i will not be back. If you have loads, this is the place for you though.

Yelp
After one night staying at the Hyatt House further uptown, this place is a solid 3. It's stupidly enormous, with lots of empty spaces that are not used and these big glass elevators facing the atrium, but overall, the room was clean and I have to say the meals at the sports bar were pretty tasty. I also had the fortune of getting a room that didn't face the highway so it was peaceful and I slept as well as I usually can on a work trip. Points also for the blackout curtains. There's a 24/7 coffee/snack bar, which really came in clutch. Thanks to the ice storm that rolled into Dallas and my ever-changing travel itinerary, I must have popped into that bar several times a day just to grab some bars and chips to keep my spirits up. For dinners, there's only one option at the hotel if you don't feel like venturing elsewhere. The bar menu is pretty limited but they cover the very basics. I liked the white hummus platter, which came with some veggies other than your standard carrots and celery, and the chopped salad. Recommend skipping the Caesar - they put out whole leaves (shards?) of romaine so you have to saw everything into pieces yourself. (I'm deeply lazy when it comes to salads.) They have a 12pm checkout option; perfect for those days when you have an afternoon/evening flight and want to get some work done in the hotel rather than the airport. Again, not a lot of mask-wearing but at least the front desk were all masked up, as were the waiters at the coffee shop/sports bar.

Yelp
What an amazing hotel. I am here for The Glow Christmas Convention and setting up both museum displays and and a market display. As I rolled to a stop in my sprinter Travoy Martinez Valet came to open my door. Within moments he organized a team of four men to empty my van. I had one large rolling rack and they filled five of their carts. Within fifteen minutes my personal items and the boxes of market mdse. had been taken up to my room and the boxes of museum items had been deposited in the museum room. They handled my things with care. These young men excel in what they do. The entire staff in this hotel go out of their way to accommodate their guests. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Yelp
Hotel was overall okay, but the amenities weren't the greatest! The pool deck and pool had great potential but was about as small as a backyard pool.

Yelp
We were in Dallas for a wedding and we decided to use points to stay at the Hyatt Regency in Dallas. Great location as it is in Downtown Dallas and walking distance to Dealey Plaza and other office buildings along with being right next door to the Reunion Tower. Show your hotel key card to get a discount on your ticket!! Parking is either valet or self park. Self park is down the hill so it is a walk uphill if you're trying to carry your stuff to the hotel. Globalist benefits allow for free parking! We got upgraded to a suite - the Sunset suite which is pretty much two rooms (a living room with couch, dining room table, full bathroom, fridge, desk and closet) connected to a one king bedroom via lock off. Breakfast was at the Centennial restaurant on the second floor. The option was buffet breakfast or from a set menu (they have vegan options which is great for everyone to find something to eat). The hotel also has a fitness center and small outdoor pool. Overall it was a great stay in Dallas. Not the best hotel I've stayed at but for sure a solid 4/5.

Yelp
Hyatt Regency Dallas was a great host hotel for a work conference we attended. Grounds are clean and well maintained, staff was friendly and multiple food options are onsite.

Yelp
My wife and I came here for a conference. The staff at the desk were great, they offered us a "higher floor upgrade " which we declined(later regretted being on the 8th floor). The conference paid for the rooms, breakfast, lunch and snacks in between. The pros - great space for events, multiple events we're taking place while here, more than plenty of space for all the events. The staff in the event space and front desk were excellent. The blackout drapes in the room are great and automatic. Room service food was good, hot, and they thought of all condiments possible. The cons and reasons for 3 stars. Our room was spacious, but felt like the room had wasted space, creating a small bathroom. We couldn't do our morning routine at the same time because lack of space. If you turn in early 10-11P, parties are still taking place outside and it's pretty noisy. Also around 6 - 645A, multiple trains ride by and it's kind of hard to get back to sleep afterwards. The walls are paper thin, being able to hear the next room over alarm, go off every morning at 7 am. Housekeeping.... You have to text a number for any of your housekeeping needs. We checked in on 9/29 and noticed only one hand towel. Texted that number and just asked for 2 hand towels, 2 bath cloths and 2 towels. We got everything but the hand towels. We sent a text the next day asking for them to take the trash and remove the old towels and bring the 2 hand towels requested. They brought a bag full of assorted towels, but they left the old towels and the trash. We sent another text, to remove trash and towels again, they only removed the trash. It's sad to say i don't won't to text them anymore at this point.

Yelp
I was there for a business trip, it's actually a good hotel, check in was very easy and hotel people were very friendly. It has multiple towers, I was far right facing Union Station. Hotel is next to a union station and trains constantly running. My room was facing the union station and it got actually little bit noisy at nights, but not too bad. There is a coffee shop plus convenience store that is open 24 hours which was a plus. Room was very nice, there was a fridge and coffee maker; bathroom was clean and had all the amenities like shampoo and soap and etc. Bed was comfortable. I had a problem with air conditioner so I had to call the maintenance twice but they fixed it on second time. TV had nice channels but no movie channel. I tried the restaurant for a breakfast and it was a good breakfast for a very reasonable price. Hotel location is far from the city center so it's probably takes at least a mile to walk to any store or restaurant. Cleaning is per request, so I used it once during my trip.

Yelp
Positives: - Very nice facilities - Hotel is very large. Great for events and conferences. - Many dining options - Rooms are spacious and clean - Friendly staff - Easy check-in / check-out process. Negatives: - Could be noisy if your room is on the lower floors or near the elevators. - Restaurants are closed relatively early (10pm). - Not sure if all rooms are the same, but mine just has a shower and no tub. So that may be a consideration if you're traveling with babies and young kids who need to take baths. - No indoor pool (has an outdoor one though).

Yelp
I have very mixed feelings about the Hyatt Regency and it makes it difficult for me to decide my final rating. I am debating between 1 or 2 stars. Here's why and you can decide. First of all, the hotel is beautiful and the city view is breathtaking. Downtown Dallas is gorgeous at all hours and I did not regret paying for an upgrade. It's convenient as it has restaurants and is right next to the Reunion Tower. It is not far from the interstate and minutes from anything you need or want. However, after that, my experience quickly rolls down hill. The hotel is next to the train and the trains run 24/7. The rooms and windows are not insulated well, so be prepared to hear it all. My room was the same side as the valet downstairs so there was extra noise from everyone waiting for their cars. Valet is $32+/night and will be full so there's no guarantee you can have your vehicle taken care of. You can self park at a dark parking lot down the hill about a quarter mile away for $19+/night and your hotel key allows you to go in and out. However, if that lot is filled, you will need to park about a mile away in overflow and walk back. And it will get full as the hotel hosts many conventions. There is no security, screening or restrictions with entering the hotel. Between the conventions, restaurant patrons and tourists, it seems like all of Dallas is there at times. Staff were wearing masks at distanced at a comical length away. They had huge tables as barriers and you can barely reach to pay or to get your key. Hearing them was impossible and they seemed more irritated than helpful when we had questions. The room itself was average. I was in a king room with the standard amenities nowadays. The city view upgrade was only for that, the view. My bedding had holes, the furniture was very worn, and towels were neither soft or clean. But after late night check in for a short stay, it was not worth it to complain. For what I paid for, I got the same quality room at the Holiday Inn Expresses at a fraction of the cost. No room service and house keeping was only available at 4+ days stay. The view was gorgeous but I could have seen it for a fraction of the cost at Reunion Tower.

Yelp
Super nice hotel and close to everything. I had a great view from my room. The staff was nice and it was pretty quiet. The only thing was the mattress was super hard.

Yelp
The lobby was huge and the view from my room into the city was spectacular! The first room I checked into had an issue therefore I was moved to another room just down the hall. Fortunately, the view remained the same. I noticed a couple items left behind in the room which made me a bit concerned about cleanliness but everything else appeared ok. The staff were friendly and check in/out was a breeze. The valet staff was also pretty quick and welcoming.
