I 57 RIB House

I frequent this location often and was surprised and nervous to see all Hispanics behind the counter, apparently rightfully so. The fries were old, hard and brown, tips tought, the hot link was good after microwaving. Not sure I'll return anytime soon, everything pictured was too tough to pull apart, nevertheless chew. Money down the drain.

Traveling from the northwest suburbs for ribs, that I heard were so good. We'll they were not. My daughter treated me to lunch there. I wanted my sauce on the side, because I like to taste good seasoned meat, with the grill taste. I had to add seasoning, and steam them in foil in my oven. I got a few bone n crissle pieces, the rest was the stringy tough tasteless pieces, that were difficult to chew. And the 18$ was not worth it. I will not go back. Thanks, but no thanks.

The larger building across the street is very had nothing but GREAT experiences, good quality food. I got food poisoning from turkey tips from the 1 next to Black cat lounge. The smaller building. I was refused to issue a refund but offered more food in place of my order.Talked with Brittany stated she was the manager & the only person in management that I could report this to. Brittany also stated that the owners don't deal with customer relations nor operations because they live out of town. I was ill for 2 weeks and under medical care. Typically I give businesses the benefit of the doubt but this is serious & could be life or death. Be aware. The names definitely need to be different because of quality & experiences

This place was once a pillar of Black pride and ownership in the community. Now it's just a relic of once was. The other day I went into this establishment, approached the window, greeted the young lady taking orders and was reciprocated with a head nod. Never any words. After a brief awkward stare down I realized the young lady was on the phone in some sort of fashion as she had her AirPods in and was simply waiting on me to order. I proceeded on; placing an order for their 10 wing dinner and a large turkey tip dinner for a total of $39.67. The wait time was about 10 minutes. Could have been longer as I was on the phone to pass the time. The most disappointment aspect of this experience were the turkey tips. The serving was more than adequate; however dry (both orders could've used more sauce). The turkey tips were tough and charred. So dry, tough and charred to a crisp. Tasted more like pork burnt ends. It's an establish that I can't figure out how is still open. I can only assure you that I won't be patronizing it anymore moving forward.

This was my first and last visit to I-57. I ordered ½ BBQ chicken and a small rib tip dinner $33.00. The BBQ chicken was average and rib tips were horrible. Rib tips tasted like it had been cooked/smoked with something oily. I tried to order by phone and a 20 min. wait with no one picking up the phone. I ended up driving there to place my order. Two other customers also complained about calling in on a late Sunday afternoon with no one taking phone orders.

As someone who has been eating at this location for 30 years, I am very disappointed with the food quality. The rib tips were dry, the size of the wings were tiny, and the hot links were also dry. In addition, the staff was really unprofessional. I’m not sure whether or not I even want to come back at this point. I personally won’t be recommending this location to anyone.

The turkey tips don't taste the same, even the sauce is different. I had the mixed sauce it was too watery. The tips were horrible!! Looks like pulled meat smh. Makes me want to be a vegetarian or vegan at this point. There a reason why this restaurant has 3.4 stars. Read all the reviews about the shredded meat.

The food used to be delicious. I ordered the wings and tips. The wings were soggy and old. The rib tips were terrible. They barely give you sauce. The fries were burnt and old. Like food had been sitting there all day. Total waste of money. Food quality and taste just isn't the same anymore. Don't waste your money

Absolutely not one star. I ordered turkey tips and they are freezer burned smothered with a lot of barbecue sauce. I also ordered a small tip and they were tough and chewy. I can't believe I paid $40 and the only thing edible was the damn fries and bread

This place has pretty good food the service is horrible. I live down the street the inside is always dirty, to try and call in an order you are put on hold and they leave you there I've often wondered how do they make money when they don't answer the phone? I have low blood pressure so it's an issue when I have to stand for long periods of time so I try to support my local black owned businesses but it's hard to do when the employees don't answer and take orders.

This location next to black cat lounge is terrible. I called , placed my order, traveled from downtown Chicago to this location 115th off I57 and the female that took my oder FORGOT to put my order in. She comes to the front and tells me she for and is laughing like it's funny and told me to go to tge other location. If I wanted to go to the other location I would have called them first. Then she laughs again and tells me it will take another hour. And she is still laughing like it's a joke. This is why people want to do harm to smart talking unprofessional b-×ches. A loyal customer that will NOT return. Managers- DO BETTER!!!.

Just ordered an hour and a half ago and got 3 turkey tips and link combos. I got shredded turkey and some watery bbq sauce. I ate the fries and that's about it.. Each time I go home to visit, they are getting worse and worse. Today was my last time eating here. Now I see why my family and friends stopped coming here. Please don't waste your time.

I would NEVER come back to this place. I was there with my client and she was disabled (in a wheelchair), I stopped there to buy her some food, I ordered and gave the lady her card. The cashier told me I needed ID to use the card so I go to the car to get her ID, come back in and the cashier said if I wasn't the client she couldn't accept the card. I informed her that the lady was disabled/wheelchair and couldn't come in. I asked if you could step to your window and see that she is disabled. I was told a flat NO. Then she insinuated that I should know the rules. My first time there. I think it's very disheartened to refuse to service a person in a wheelchair. Making a living off the Black community but not even trusting a Black Lady in a wheelchair with a legal Debit card and ID. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE!!! Legal Trash. Ordered a small tip& link. Extra sauce. ten minutes later. I got a greasy link and tip the link was made last week and served today it was cold and Krispy the small link was four chunks of ends. What use to be Aint anymore. They are TRASH. I WANT MY STAR BACKKN

Use to be my favorite bbq place but it's gone downhill over the years. This bbq spot is a hit or miss majority of the time with staff and food. If the place is busy (mostly weekends and fridays) you'll know as STAFF DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE, if they do you are greeted with a bad demeanor and cannot place orders over the phone due to rush sales or peak hours. On a relaxed day it's the opposite. I typically order the rib tips but sometimes you get what I call "scrapped meat". It's basically shredded pieces of really tough meat and bones. I've had more plates of scraps rather than actual rib tips. The bbq sauce is tasty whether it's hot or mild but there's a charge for extra sauce if you prefer a more saucy plate. I believe all orders come with bread.

I ordered Ribs from this place thru Uber eats and was told thru the app I was out of range for delivery. The order was $37.00 so I cancelled immediately but was told it was too late and was charged to my credit card $26.00. My friends and co workers agree with me this is absurd and now refuse to support this app or business. A call to Uber eats met with no resolution.

If I could give them negative 5 I would old dry ribs wouldn't feed my dog this food and no where in the establishment is no refunds sign posted but on the receipt now you know if a business puts this on a receipt they know they handing out BS last and final time giving them a chance DO NOT ENTERTAIN THIS Ridiculous mess!!! I've never heard any chopping or seen any smoke coming out of this place it smells like straight up lighter fluid !! Only thing fresh and hot in there is that big pot of barbecue sauce on the stove!! Before, I personally went myself to purchase my food. I tried some of my children's food and it was actually good!!! I decided one day, I wanted some turkey tips, links and wings, gave this place a try...... on the day I made my purchase my food was just ok..... the young lady behind the counter was nice...... service was slow and I did a call in order

I wasn't a fan but I'm thinking it has something to do with the sauce. I got the rib tips and wing basket. I don't like sauces so my ribs were dry and when I said no sauce it really caught the lady off. To me the ribs were a bit tough and lacked flavor. My cousin got the same thing with sauce and she raved about how good the sauce was. The wings were so small we don't need to speak of them but they were flavorful.

This was always my go to for Turkey Tips but today was the Last Straw!!! I literally received shredded turkey w/ watery sauce. I called back to speak to the manager and she was not helpful Nor accommodating. I understand they get busy but at some point someone should say Let's not serve this.

Bad bad bad never use to be this bad rib tips was not done under cooked pieces of ribs and lose meat like somebody else was eating off the plate before they gave it to me never again will I be visiting this business you've taken my last dollar

Stopped by I-57 off 116th and I ordered the lunch wing special it was delicious. I didn't have to wait to long and my food was hot, well seasoned and they weren't stingy with the barbecue sauce. And the barbecue sauce wasn't watered down like some of these Harold chicken places be doing. Keep up the good work I-57.

Ordered 3 lunch specials chicken was good but all of the scraps of ribs that were over seasoned the ribs looked like they were feeding dogs! Never again with my thirty plus dollars!!!! Too bad I couldn't leave zero stars because I would!!!!!!!

I ordered a lunch tip/link combo, and I was extremely disappointed . I was attending a funeral across the street, and I decided since I was in the area to get a family favorite. The tips were undercooked, and the fries were old. I attempted to eat the ribs, but they were too tough. The fries were so crunchy I could tell they were either reheated or just plain old. I called back to the restaurant, but my call went unanswered. The two stars are for the link and the sauce. Go at your own risk.

A family member referred me to this place over a month ago when I asked for catering options, and he said it was amazing BBQ. Well, before I could try it he said he ate there recently, and it was so terrible he would never order again. How do you go from amazing to terrible and never wanting to try it again? So I decided to try it. It is polite for me to just say his previous comment was correct, I won't be trying it again. I ordered the slabs of ribs and they were so dry and flavorless, I was shocked. When you tore the rips apart there was a nice amount of meat, so the quality of the meat is pretty high but overcooking anything destroys the flavor. I ordered Turkey tips and they were also overcooked, but so much so they were hard and dry to the touch. When you pulled them apart they made this dry noise like pieces of paper rubbing together. My Turkey tips were so dry they felt like the bottom of a persons foot who hasn't heard of pedicures! My goodness I rubbed my finger on the tip of the rib in disbelief, why is it so hard? I bit into it and yeah overcooked like sandpaper. The best things about the order were: - The turkey link. I've never had turkey links that taste this good. They were cooked really soft and you could taste all the peppers inside! - the peach cobbler was really good. - the fries were good and the bbq sauce made them even better. None of the positives are enough for me to give them another chance. The main portion of the order was low quality. They have multiple locations so I was hoping for a great experience, but instead I wasted my money. I'm so glad I decided to try them before using them for catering!

it's really good because the meat is tender and is seasoned perfectly. The service was great i asked a question on what's the difference between the smoke house and the regular rib house and they answered it, they're kind and well mannered. The store has a good feeling to it, when you walk in there it might be people already there but the store has a calming atmosphere anyway.

I got the rib tips and turkey link. My food was delicious, took the average time more than once. The Tv is a bit loud, you might need to speak a tad louder to place your order. The food is great as long as you tell the staff how you want it, we know if we want things cooked longer may be burnt. Keep up the great work Yum!

I was there yesterday around dinner time and ordered a large rib tip dinner. It was phenomenal. Tender, Smokey and the homemade bbq was f**king amazing. The coleslaw was just as good. I have told everyone I talked to about my dinner last night. They all want to go now. I will be back!!

I'm only leaving a one star because there's nothing lower than a one star to give, the customer service was below standards for any place. That's a restaurant or a food place.. the young ladies attitude was terrible. Who was the cashier she rolled her eyes, as if it was an inconvenience to do her job! I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy! If you don't like working in a public did you should not, and I repeat, not going to customer service !

Wow I'm saddened at how the quality of the food at I-57 has just plummeted from really good to terrible. I ordered BBQ chicken and rib tips. The chicken was inedible. It was old and dry with literally little flesh. Imagine a bone with sauce on it. The rib tips had too much fat. I'm only giving 2 stars because the fries and customer service were good. I should have known the place isn't what it used to be because there were very few vehicles in the lot. Get it together, i-57 Rib House!

I opened it only to see these large things that look ribs...Tough as hell!! I call location, spoke to "Derrick" who states he's the General Manager, but is unable to make things right. I ask for the store owner.. this fool said the store owner only comes into the store between March & June, and he's unable to give me his name or contact info. I went here yesterday got a bucket rib tip and hot link combo the tips was shredded as if they were boiled then put on the grill and the links were burnt just awful $48 down the drain know body ate it

Usually when I go to this bbq place it's no problem but today I was so disappointed with my food today I ordered half slab dinner with mild sauce there was plenty sauce for these ribs that seemed to be recooked and burned and the half of chicken dinner was old dry checked drowning in sauce I was so pissed off if I was totally exhausted they would get this s--- back today but I will definitely make it my business after church to get this horrible food back to them. This really doesn't deserve any stars

This restaurant deserves 10 starzzzz!!! The costumer service was good !! Turkey tips were great!!! The portion size is a plus. I also had Carmel Cake that brought a tear to my eye.... It was Delicious!!!! The location lobby area was clean , parking lot was also clean. I can tell they take pride in this establishment... I hope it stays this way !!!!

Ribs tips are to hard too chew. I am always missing something that I order. The turkey tips were better.

Ribs & sauce are really good but my last 3 orders had nice lean ribs on top and fatty or day old on the bottom.

Let me just by saying the food was good!! However the service WAS THE ABSOLUTE WORSE!!! The 2 kids with MANAGER ON THEIR SHIRTS ARE LIARS AND THE TEUTH AINT IN THEM!! I placed my order in line at 4:15pm I DOD NOT GET MY FOOD UNTIL 3 FREAKIN HOURS LATER!!! They told me 45 minutes which was a total LIE!! They were completing all the Uber Eats orders first and await screw everyone else! I waited for My food because I wanted to try them out!! NEVER AGAIN!!!

I ordered a rib tip combo the tips were burnt and they try to cover them up with ( extra ) sauce. When you open up a business it should be for something that you specialize in. Perhaps you should look into a fire logs Business... By the way the one star was for the sauce. Ys

Went there on my way back from downtown Chgo and they gave me the scraps off the grill. I feel cheated and this place is definitely not the same,they fixed it up to be terrible shame on them.

This place no matter how may time's you give them each experience gets worse and worse. I called them and no answer and when I get there it's not even busy the cashier is playing on her phone and crossword book rite there. I saw my order come up she didn't even bother to look then more customers come in she don't even acknowledge them still in her phone and when I spoke on the service she locking crazy not sure if she said anything but it's getting worse. You spend your money and receive bad service. Another bits the dust y'all. The food good some days not so good on others and poor service.

I-57 is straight GASSSSSS!!!! ion care what nobody say. They have the best 7pc mild wings with mild sauce on the fries w/ extra mild sauce ... STOPPPP PLAYIN!!! But yah if you not from the raq and you need a good chicken spot; I-57 def one of the top places to go to .

They are not consistent with the orders one day the food is good and meaty next time a lot of bone! Service is much better now can we work in consistency!

ExSenators was closed, really wanted son rib tips. This were the driest chewiest tips I have ever eaten. Will not be going back

Unfortunately, the only way I eat is the turkey hot link. The fries aren't good as well, especially the wings and turkey link. I ended up stop eating my food from this place in my hotel and throwing it away when we leave to go back to Michigan. From now on, I will be avoiding eating from this place and I will be eating somewhere else, especially my parents.

I've given this place so many tries I'm done I'm spending 25-50 dollars Bucket of Tips Hot Links and more I'm tired of Scrapes Bones and Hard pieces y'all need to do better and no I didn't call this time to speak to the manager.

The service was great! I am glad I ordered a half slab of pork ribs because they didn't have any seasoning and a lot of fat and less meat. It's seems as though they were threw on the grill without cleaning and seasoning! The Turkey hot links were great. If I go back, the hot links would be all I purchase! So I gave one star for service and one star for hot links!

Food tasty and sauce is the boss. Nice updated look and lesser waiting times compared to the past.

The ribs are disgusting! They are hard and old...they aren't even eatable. Don't recommend at all.

This past week I traveled to this location to get some ribs I wanted Lems but they were closed so I settled for this spot , upon entering the parking lot it's a LONG LINE I'm excited thinking the food is good , SIKE this place sells bones and fries I say that cause my entire order was bones and fries and two pieces of white bread I spent almost 50$ on a large tip and a small tip DISGUSTING not one whole rib tip all scraps of meat sloppy i cdnt eat it i refunded my large my mo. Hadn't tasted hers as i carry it to her she also said it was disgusting and scraps ! I been calling so cs trying to get a refund on the second order no luck yet

This will be first and last experience with this company. I decided after the gym to try and get me some good BBQ and heard this was a very good spot and it's very good ! I'm a big foodie. So one I ordered Turkey TIP Turkey Links &chicken wings. My order was repeated and I had all the convenience it was right. I live in Crete and drove all the way home to get in and see that not only was the order work but it was rib tips and I am Muslim. I called back to correct the order and see if I can come back to have it fix and it was 8:45pm no one answered the phone. I went ahead and let my son eat the chicken and make a sandwich for him because we don't eat pork and that was dinner After practice for him. My boyfriend called back and spoke with Ms Sue who was so kind to say come back..... I didn't return until almost after 5 and when he came in he got it fixed but the service was rude on a mistake someone else on the team did and took it out on a customer who is paying over $20 for a meal not to mention a the gas to go back home when I was not in that area for the rest of the week. Then I get it replaced again completely believe all is well this time and get home to my surprise , nothing but bones and sauce..... this company has a lot of great reputation and yet this is the service and product you give out to those who are first timers and will definitely never get my business again. Pure disappointment.

Today I purchased 3, 7-piece chicken wing dinners from I57 location off I57. All 3 meals the chicken was over cooked. The location when I tried to contact via was 19 mins responding and lied preventing me to speak to management. Returned to location and they agreed to redo order. Meal was horrible, still overcooked, will not return.

The food is good but the customers service at the 115th location is horrible. Bad customer service is bad for business.
