I've been here several times and I have to say, this is probably my favorite place for sushi in the area. First of all, they have wonderful service and it is always that way. I've been here during dinner hours, when they were busy and not so busy, and at lunch time.
I happened upon this place when I felt like having some sushi but did not feel like calling my go to place to see if they had any available tables or taking a chance and driving there, then waiting for maybe 20-40 minutes for a table while I starve slowly to near death. Anyway, I found this place on yelp, perused through a couple of reviews and decided to drive on over. The first time, they had maybe a couple of tables worth of people so it was pretty quiet for a Friday night. The waitress was very gracious, brought some water and the menu right away.
I tried quite a bit of their menu just because I was hooked the first time but I have to say, their rolls are huge and if you are at all like me, with eyes bigger than my stomach, you'll end up ordering way more than you can eat. One roll fills me up which is usually not the case with other sushi places I've visited. Trust me, they are bigger than anywhere I've been to but delicious and flavorful.
For appetizers, my new favorite there might have to be the tempura soft shell crab. It comes with a whole soft shell crab split in half and fried separately, a generous sampling of vegetable tempura, and of course, some special dipping sauce. I've also tried their shrimp shumai, fried gyoza, seaweed salad, and squid salad. They were all delicious!
I am not even going to name all the rolls I've tried because there's too many but I always try to get anything that has soft shell crab or crabmeat in general. The best thing about this place is that it is very budget-friendly. I can't believe how inexpensive some of the rolls are especially after seeing how big they are when they bring them to the table.
