20 Best Things to Do in St. Augustine, Florida

"A craft distillery housed in an early-1900s ice factory that offers free tours and tastings, an upstairs bar that playfully honors the building's history by serving cocktails with different types of ice, and a gift shop selling housemade spirits and locally collaborated treats." - Skye Sherman Skye Sherman Skye Sherman is a travel writer based in West Palm Beach, Florida. The Humble Datil Pepper Exclusively Thrives in One Place

"This historic building is a cool stop even without datil dishes, but if you venture to the Ice Plant Bar, don’t miss their legendary Blue Crab Beignets with datil remoulade. I wash mine down with a Rhinestone Cowboy, a blend of bourbon, amaro, pomegranate, hibiscus, mint, muddled sage and lemon, and you guessed it, datil pepper." - Carrie Honaker

3 Best Day Trips from Savannah

"Ice Plant Bar's name is no joke: The bartenders really do hand-carve ice for the drinks. Like all good upscale cocktail dens, this one offers a mix of well-executed classics—think Sazerac, Tom Collins, Old Fashioned—and new drinks, ranging from dark and smoky (e.g., the Burt Reynolds, a rye-based tipple with vermouth, smoked cherry wood, and spiced and chocolate bitters) to bright and herbal (like the Little Red Corvette, a Negroni relative with cranberry, thyme, and lemon). There's a serious food menu too: fried chicken and hoe cakes, a pan-seared fish of the day, and the Minorcan mezze, a beautiful tribute to the culture of the Mediterranean that includes black-eyed pea falafel, tabbouleh with corn and datil peppers, labneh, hummus, pita, and more." - Sam Worley

Excellent dinner for our party of 9. All good came out together and hot. Truffle fries are a must! The solo sauce was perfect. Every dinner was delicious. Service was great. Drinks were fabulous.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What an amazing dining experience at Ice Plant Bar in St. Augustine, FL! 🌿🍋 The food was absolutely top-notch — everything tasted incredibly fresh and full of flavor. I had the Caesar salad with blackened chicken, and wow… I’m usually not a fan of kale, but this one totally won me over! 🥗 The flavors were bold and balanced perfectly — the huge homemade croutons, tangy capers, and that touch of lemon brought it all together beautifully. My wife ordered the fried chicken with gravy, collard greens, and hoecakes, and it was out of this world. 🍗 The hoecakes were like the perfect mix between a pancake and cornbread — crispy on the outside, soft and buttery inside. Every bite was pure Southern comfort. The ambiance was just as impressive. The restaurant is inside a restored 1920s building, keeping all that old charm intact — high ceilings, vintage details, and even a 1940s delivery truck parked outside 🚚. It feels like stepping back in time but with modern craft and flavor. We both loved every minute and every bite. 💯 I’d eat here again anytime — one of those rare places that nails both the food and the experience. Highly recommend! 🙌

Google
Love this place! Wish it was closer to home. The drinks and food are amazing. You have to get the fish dip with the kettle chips and pickles. And the pimento cheese spread with garlic butter toast points are yummy. I had no more room for a full entree so I ordered the pork belly sliders and they did not disappoint. My son got the burger with bacon and a fried egg and he loved it. He saved some pimento for his fries. My mother ordered the fried chicken and hoecakes with collard greens and she said they were the best she had outside of cooking at home. Highly recommend.

Google
Great place to stop in St. Augustine. The restaurant is in the same building as the St. Augustine distillery so you can do 2 things at once. Awesome space in original ice house setting. Unique menu featuring locally produced ingredients. I had the 2 egg offering that had their homemade bread. The meal was fantastic. When you're done eating, take the distillery tour & sample their bourbon & gin.

Google
Some restaurants win you over with the food. Others with the atmosphere. The Ice Plant manages to do both, and it does it without feeling forced. The building alone sets the tone. Housed in a former industrial ice warehouse that feels like it has been standing there for a century, even if the exact decade is hard to pin down, the space has earned character. Thick walls, high ceilings, and old bones you can feel the moment you walk in. The industrial lighting, exposed elements, and bar layout lean into that history instead of covering it up, and it works beautifully. But the space would mean nothing if the food did not hold up. Fortunately, it absolutely does. A lot of restaurants love to claim they are a scratch kitchen. At The Ice Plant, you do not have to be told. You can taste it. Every dish we ordered felt deliberate and well built, not assembled. The standout for me was the half pound cheeseburger, which was easily one of the best burgers I have had in a very long time. Perfectly cooked, balanced, and satisfying without trying to be clever for the sake of it. The appetizers were just as strong, especially the focaccia bread, which is non negotiable. Get it. Do not overthink it. That single dish tells you everything you need to know about how seriously they take the basics. The bar deserves its own mention. There is a great beer selection if that is your lane, but the craft cocktail program is where things really shine. Thoughtful, well executed drinks served in a space that actually feels like a bar, not just a place that happens to pour alcohol. Service hit the sweet spot. Attentive without hovering, friendly without being intrusive. The kind of service that quietly improves your night instead of distracting from it. Whether you are looking for a memorable lunch, a relaxed dinner, or just a great bar to settle into, The Ice Plant belongs on your short list in St. Augustine. We will absolutely be back, and not just once.

Google
Great first time here. Good, strong drinks with reasonable prices and a small cute little covered outdoor area where you can stand around and enjoy the weather. This is an awesome place to wrap up the day after finishing the distillery tour first.

Google
It was a rainy night on Sunday but the place was crowded with happy, dry people. We sat at the gorgeous, vintage bar and were served by Kedwin and his colleagues. We started by sharing the large arugula salad- a nice healthy start to a rich and tasty dinner. I had the shrimp and grits- version is called something else, but it was deliciously soupy and featured local shrimp. My fiancé had the chicken and hoe cakes. Kedwin offered us a cocktail when he heard that we were engaged- he made us an exotic non alcoholic concoction to accommodate my guy's alcohol free lifestyle- and then he toasted with us. It was a wonderful celebration! Thank you Kedwin and the rest of the staff!

Google
I would recommend this restaurant. The atmosphere was nice, though the main course was not to my liking and the rest of our order wasn’t the best. The drink also wasn’t to my taste, and while sitting near the bar I had to wait a bit since the bartender stepped away. The restaurant is located above the distillery, which adds a unique touch. Facilities were clean, parking was convenient, and the area was very chic and well-kept. Overall, I really enjoyed the location.

Yelp
Jasmine our server was the absolute best. Explained the differences between the drink selections!! I ended up with the Moscow Mule, my wife enjoyed her Old Fashioned, our friends had an Espresso Martini, and a Mary Taylor glass of wine! We shared a burger with Muenster aioli!! All good. I'd post more but we had such a good time I forgot to take pictures!!!

Yelp
Amazing drinks! Such a cool vibe. Showed up with a party of 10 - a rare family gathering. Yes a challenging size to seat. We were told 1 hour wait. Turned into almost 3 hours and we gave up. You couldn't bring us food where we dropped $200 on drinks?! Couldn't move along the table of inconsiderate people at the table we were assigned to? Rookie mistake in my book. Poor business practice. Wtf. We accepted defeat and went to Carmelo's for pizza. Thanks Ice Plant.

Yelp
We love everything about this restaurant. It's one of our favorite places to bring friends when they are visiting in town because it seems like more of an experience than just going out to dinner. The drinks are awesome and well presented. The food is delicious and they do a lot of farm to table. Seriously, one of the best restaurants in Saint Augustine and you won't wanna miss it if you're just here for a few days.

Yelp
What a cool and amazing place! I loved the decor and the history behind this restaurant/bar. The food was excellent, especially the mushroom bisque. I really enjoyed my Moscow mule. Staff were welcoming and the service was great! Definitely recommend!

Yelp
We walked in fairly early, around 4:45 on a Saturday eve. It looked pretty packed. The hostess greets. We said we'd try to find something at one of their 3 bars, after a quick walk around, we decided to get a table. It is a very cool historical place which has multi levels. Love old bars like this. We ordered the crab beignets. Our server, Sam did forward us that they were very filling. We hasn't eaten all day so we thought we could handle 4 and split an entree. The crab beignets were fried and full of crab, very good but next time 2 will be fine. We shared a pasta and rockshrimp dish with saffron . It was excellent. The shrimp was amazing. I ordered a "red corvette " cocktail which was good, maybe a little on the sweet side. Ambience: 5 Service: 4 Food: 4

Yelp
My drink was absolutely incredible, the liquor was washed with ricotta, giving it an unbelievably smooth texture that paired perfectly with the berry flavors! It honestly tasted like ice cream in the best way. I ordered the fried chicken plate, which came with collard greens, hoe cakes, and apricot butter. Everything is truly farm to table with nothing made from a mix, and you can taste the difference in every bite. We also tried the crab filled beignets, and they are to die for. I could have eaten twenty, they were that good. The drinks are incredibly creative, and the food is a total home run. Service was great, and the ambiance is lovely. It's rustic, warm, and comfortable. A fantastic experience all around.

Yelp
My wife and I really enjoyed the burger and pasta we had for lunch. As usual, we shared our meals by swapping plates halfway through. It's our favorite way to try a bit of everything, The cider I chose was on the drier side, not quite my favorite, but still okay. Overall, the service was pretty good. The Ice Plant is housed in a restored industrial building dating back to 1927 blending historic charm with a modern, stylish atmosphere. The second floor houses the Ice Plant restaurant while the first floor is home to St. Augustine Distillery.

Yelp
Shoutout to local community heroes like Jena L and staff!!! New Years Day was hoppin' !!! We had a little bit of wait, but it was enough time for grabbing an espresso martini and a chance to mingle with other happy patrons. The martini was yummmm! The staff was very polite and friendly. The bartenders are joyful balls of energy. The menu is very nice and the variety of scratch kitchen options are on point. The server told us about the specials of the day were... she had me at mushroom soup!!! I was starving and knew that the mushroom soup would be amazing because of the amazing kitchen here. It was so velvety soft and unctuous!!! I could eat this every day! I didn't even need the finely chopped green onions ... it did not need anything but a standing ovation!!! Bravo/ brava/ magnificent!! I was so happy that the amazing Jena L treated us with such TLC and shared her radiant energy with us!!! She was part of the entire experience that was this celebration of New Year 2026!!! Hubby was so delighted with his savory burger and fries... yes, of course I sampled it!!! He is so generous!! Yummm!!! The Smokey richness of the burger was noteworthy and the toasted buns were a next level treat!!! The fries were so good! A potato would be proud to have such excellent ratings!!! I had the shrimp pasta ( FERNANDINA ROCK SHRIMP & SAFFRON TROTTOLE PASTA. 34. PANCETTA, BASIL, TOMATO-CREAM SAUCE, FRESH TOMATO, PECORINO, GARLIC-PARSLEY BREADCRUMBS) ... I am picky about pasta... this was more than I good.. it was an experience. The fresh tomatoes were the highlight... little pops of happiness whenever I got one in a bite of pasta!! Farm to table.. scratch kitchen goodness... SAY LESS!!! Happy New Year!!! Love you guys so much!!! See ya soon!

Yelp
This place was so good, had to come twice in 1 day! First for drinks before dinner then again for drinks and late night eats! There was a good amount of bartenders here and they were attentive and courteous. Great service from the host downstairs and was super proactive in finding seats at the bar The Devil wears Prada was such a cool drink with grated coffee bean shavings on the top. Prince of darkness was heavy on the smokiness and it looked really dark and mysterious The blue crab beignets was my fav and everything I wanted it to be. The local shrimp aguachile was super red and great with the avocado and pepitas. The pimento cheese was quite sweet and the least fav out of the 3 dishes I kept seeing Datil peppers everywhere in this town and once I googled it, it said it's a pepper native to St Augustine. That was a fun fact to find out. It's got some pepper flavor without being too spicy and has some sweetness to it. Some places have it real sweet with added sugars

Yelp
Great food, great bar, and a great atmosphere to check out. Loved the burger but also the salads were amazing.

Yelp
We came in for apps and drinks. Service was great, efficient, and friendly. The ambiance was chill, moody and relaxing. I really enjoyed visiting. Not to mention the sliders were to die for!!! And they know how to make a good drink and mocktails. Next time we will have dinner here as well , can't wait to go back!

Yelp
I've had several "oh no's" to this review.. not quite sure why. The only thing I can think of is that people didn't like the fact that I ENJOYED the fact that the bartenders and severs had a GREAT time working together. I stand by my review. If you see people enjoying their job AND providing AMAZING service and have a problem with that, that's weird. Unless I'm missing something because I'm not local. But for me, we had a great time!
google avatar

Yelp
Cool place to eat, and it's my understanding that there are tastings on the first floor in their gift shop. We didn't have time to partake in that today. We arrived about 30 mins before the lunch menu was available, so we were technically part of the "brunch" crowd. I got the shrimp poboy, which was delicious but hard to eat because instead of a bun, they serve it in what looked like a canoe made of bread. The chips were good, too. My daughter got the peanut butter and jelly mini pancake. It wasn't mini, it wasn't a pancake, and there was no peanut butter or jelly in it. She thought it was good, but she wouldn't get it again. The other people in our party got a burger and salad, both of which were a hit. The service wasn't bad either, so we'll give it another try.
google avatar

Yelp
We had brunch here and it was fantastic! The interior is nice with plenty of seating. We started with Bloody Mary and a cider for my husband. They have an array of different cocktails to choose from, nice bar area too! For the main entrees, we both enjoyed our orders. House made pappardelle pasta and Braised Beef Cheek Sugo was the standout! Rich, savory, and perfectly al dente. The Half Pound Ice Plant Burger was equally impressive, it was juicy, tender, and flavorful. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. However, it would be even better if they accepted reservations, as our group of ten friends often dines out together.

Yelp
My husband and I had dinner here on a Friday night. I love the building. We had excellent service from a lovely young lady. We ordered drinks from the Halloween drink menu. The Beetlejuice was very heave beet flavor. I probably wouldn't get it again. My husband got the John Candy. A delicious buttery manhattan style bourbon drink. Very good! We shared the fish dip. The house made chips are fantastic Crispy sand salty. I would have liked a larger portion of the dip. He had the red fish special that was delicious! I had a shrimp app as my meal. Aquachile. It was a bit too sour for me. I ate the shrimp out of the dish. We shared the ham and black bean soup. It was delicious with a spicy kick for sure! I loved the Halloween decor!
google avatar

Wendy L.

Yelp
We were seated right away. We ordered drinks which are handcrafted with all homemade ingredients. I got a watermelon sugar high and the hubby got the Waiting invane! My husband's drink was full of flavors of rums and juices. It was extremely delicious. I expected a little more from mine but it was ok. We ordered the crab beignets. Now they were amazing, but extremely small. Understandable due to the cost of crab. It's a fun place that takes you back in time. The wait staff is excellent and they are very friendly! We will be back!

Yelp
Incredible craft cocktails and AMAZING fare. The best part? The authenticity of their ingredients, devotion to curating the perfect meal and pure consistency. Every.Single.Time. Major kudos to the team there for creating such an incredible experience.

Yelp
We went here for a birthday weekend dinner. The Food was good service was on point. The ambiance was very chill.

Yelp
After a fun tour downstairs of St. Augustine Distillery I was surprised to find this fantastic restaurant atop this old building. Kevin offered excellent service and suggestions, I enjoyed his recommendations from beverages to lunch. Mushroom soup is savory and delicious. The shrimp and grits with steak cubes is out of this world!! Creamy complex flavors, plenty of shrimp and steak cubes, herbs and tomato, capers all blended made this a must try entree. So yum!! Great atmosphere in the high ceilings and spaces they created dividing up the large upper floor. Well done! I'll be back again for more!!
google avatar

Yelp
Loved everything about this place! The decor was interesting with a fun atmosphere, and great customer service from Jasmine! My cocktail (Waiting in Vain) was tasty and refreshing. We started by sharing the Lil Gems Caesar...best caesar I have ever had, the olive tapenade made the dish. I loved every part of the Skillet Fried Chicken & Hoecakes! The chicken was crispy and juicy, and the hoecakes were so delicious (loved the apricot butter!). My husband also loved the burger and cocktail (Dazed and Confused). Would highly recommend!
google avatar

Dwight M.

Yelp
Ask for Ash and she'll make you a bleeding heart. Great drink. There are bartenders but this isn't a bartender it's someone who formulates a great and tasty beverage. She's a beverage artisan for sure

Yelp
The Ice Plant was recommended to us as a popular spot for locals in St. Augustine. It was really cool to learn about the building's history, and I highly recommend going on the free self-guided distillery tour adjacent to the restaurant. I think it's so cool that it's a from scratch kitchen, including their ice! Our server was really kind and offered some great recs. We started off with the blue crab beignets which I thought were absolutely delicious! Packed with crab and they go really well with a squeeze of lemon. The datil remoulade was great (basically a tartar sauce). They are very rich, so we each only ate one. We also got the fried chicken with hoecakes and collard greens. I loved the collard greens which were flavored with a smokey bacon. The fried chicken was a bit dry and some parts of the breading tasted burnt. The hoecakes were also surprisingly dry though they had good flavor. The apricot butter was delicious, and I also enjoyed the gravy. Overall, I just wasn't blown away by the fried chicken dish which I thought would be a hit. I would have given this place a 4 easily, if not for that dish.
google avatar

Beth B.

Yelp
This review is long overdue and while the menu may change, I still highly recommend this local jewel. Hubby and I each enjoyed the gem Caesar salad plus shrimp - he had regular size I had the small salad - paired with a lovely and reasonably priced Chardonnay. We enjoyed our salads on the little upstairs deck. They were delicious and more than filling. Service was friendly and professional. Will definitely return when I'm back in the area!

Valerie P.

Yelp
Love visiting the Ice Plant anytime i find myself in St. Augustine. The drinks and ambiance are both equally amazing and the history of the place is so cool. Definitely recommend this place!

Yelp
This will be our fourth time there over the past ten years and we're never dissapointed. One of the most memorable things about the Ice Plant is the creativity behind the scenes to concoct some amazing dishes. From our first experience I'll never forget their Watermelon and Jalapeno salad. Who would think to combine these two main ingredients? Awesome. This visit we had the opportunity to enjoy a Shrimp & Carolina Gold Middlins dish which was buttery heaven. Smooth and silky grits, basically, but melt in your mouth perfect. Our second dish was the Duroc Pork Chop which was equally as great. The chop itself was moist and tender, accompanied by brussel sprouts drizzled by a black garlic balsami, next to some pickled fennel and roasted acorn squash. While waiting for our table we had the chance to watch two square blocks of ice get melted down to crystal clear orbs that cooled our bourbon. Delightful, I have to admit!! If you've never been there, treat yourself. You will not be dissapointed!
google avatar

Myesha S.

Yelp
I went to the Ice Plant last weekend and it did not disappoint! It's great to see that even a year later they have remained consistent! The food was delicious, service was amazing, and the ambiance is great as always. My group had the crab beignets which is one of my favorites! It was still delicious and full of crab meat! We also tried the truffle Parmesan fries and they were delicious! On my last visit I had the fried chicken but this time I tried the gochujang pork chop which was a new item and it was out of this world! It was packed with flavor and spicy which I liked, it paired well with the potatoes. The portion size was big so I had leftovers. The rest of my group had the fried chicken and the local fish which was the Cobia. They all enjoyed their meals. I had a cocktail which was refreshing.

Yelp
Last month, I took my mom out for our monthly mother-daughter outing (we try to do one every month!), and we ended up at The Ice Plant in St. Augustine. I was just driving around Old St. Augustine looking for a brunch spot and decided to give this place a try--and I'm so glad we did. It's definitely a popular spot--we were told a 35-minute wait, but we got seated in about 25. You take this cool little elevator up to the second floor where the dining area is, and the vibe is just amazing. It has this old-school, vintage industrial feel, with ice tools and decor from back in the day. Apparently, the building actually used to be a real ice plant where they made and delivered ice--such a cool bit of history. My mom ordered the pineapple upside-down pancake, which she loved. There wasn't anything vegan on the menu for me at first, but the waitress went out of her way to ask the kitchen if they could make something--and they whipped up an avocado toast that was delicious. I was so grateful they took the time to accommodate me instead of just saying no. Little things like that really make a difference! Oh--and the drinks were amazing too. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town. 10/10 for the food, the service, the vibe, and just the whole experience.

Yelp
We visited St Augustine FL in the beginning of September. Such a cool place! Would definitely like to try the dinner menu as it just seems like a good vibe to check out in the evening! Cocktails, apps, salads, and burger were exceptional! Our server offered recommendations which showed to be helpful.

Lorena J.

Yelp
It was good, the first time I went I order a hamburger and was great and juicy so I went a second time was so dry this tells Me the food is not consistent. Service was great! Ambiance is good. I give it two stars because the price you pay is not chip to be dry.
google avatar

Enrique P.

Yelp
Amazing! 5 stars all day Sidecar reminded me of the Monteleon in New Orleans . Food was delicious can't even pick a favorite because everything we tried was great. Service and ambience did not disappoint either. We will be returning.

Yelp
The last time we were in town, we did not stop in here to have lunch after our distillery tour as we had other plans. So this go around we made it a point to stop for lunch. Our bartender Germaine was incredibly friendly, even sat down and wrote down out a list of places to check out in the area! Great customer service! He truly made our meal experience wonderful! we opted for the steak sandwich as well as the fried chicken with hoe cakes and collard greens. By far, these were amazing meals! We would definitely order them again. We also opted for their handcrafted sodas. I got the cherry cola, which was perfect not overly sweet and my husband opted for their ginger cola, which is absolutely amazing! Fresh ginger, lime was soda. can't get much fresher than that. Love the vibe and the ambience of this location definitely takes you back! We also love that even though it's a restaurant/bar they're super focused on their ice and giving you the highest quality ice. From the pebble ice to the gentleman cut ice some of the clearest ice we have ever seen. Truly does enhance your meal.

Yelp
This place was AMAZING. 10/10 recommend to all friends if you're in St. Augustine. The food was delicious and the drinks were even better! Matteo was our server for brunch and he was superb. He had great suggestions, knowledge of the menu, and some history tidbits to share. Get the eggs Benedict because that sausage, egg, and kimchi mix was incomparable. The steak sandwich was also delish and cooked perfectly. If you're just there for drinks I highly recommend anything off their housemate menu as those are all made from scratch. The mule was my favorite and I typically am not a fan because of ginger beer, but with the house made ginger it was SO GOOD.

Yelp
Amazing food and service. Everything is homemade even the drinks and sodas. Recommend this place to anyone

Yelp
Checked this place out on a Friday at 1130. We were seated immediately. There were prob 4 people in there when we arrived and more like 20 when we left. We ordered the avocado toast, the Ban Me (not sure how to spell) sliders and the Parmesan truffle fries. Everything was full of flavor, came out the perfect temp and was good by the end of the meal. Casual to cocktail feel. Definitely a spot to check out for drinks! Good for groups or a fun date night!

Yelp
On our way back down to the treasure coast, we decided to stop for late lunch in historic St. Augustine. Ice Plant popped up on our search and the menu, cocktails and vibes looked intriguing. There is dedicated parking which is a plus! We were seated promptly and loved the open layout and seating variety on the second floor. We sat in a 2 people booth/chair combo. Emma is a wonderful server, she had the best recs and alternatives to consider! Drinks and food were delicious We got the crab beignets with a remoulade sauce- the outside batter was crispy and gave tempura batter vibes I got the chicken, grits and hoecakes with the Apricot butter (super dangerous and melt in yo mouth yummy). Hubs got the fresh catch sandwich with swordfish and got the buns on the side. Also very good and cooked to perfection I ended up getting hotsauce for the chicken and bought a bottle to go - really liked the flavor of the datil pepper! Afterwards we went down to the first floor. You can get a tour of the distillery (which includes 4 drinks) and browse the gift shop for unique gifts and memorabilia. So glad we stopped in!

Yelp
. This was our first visit to this place, and we were immediately impressed by the laid-back atmosphere. They had left the iron beams from the building's past as an ice plant intact, which added to the unique charm of the restaurant. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and provided excellent service throughout our meal. The food was deliciously seasoned to perfection.

Yelp
After the distillery tour, we decided to stop at the ice plant for a couple drinks. The place was very cool and spacious. Lots of seats, inside and out. The bartenders were very nice and offered different recommendations. We grabbed our drinks and a seat out on the balcony. The drinks were both very good and flavorful! They had food there too but we didn't eat this time (although it looked good!)

Yelp
Wow. We haven't stepped foot in this place since it opened. We were in town for a concert so wanted to check it out for a cocktail. First of all this place is beautiful, I absolutely love the bathrooms and the waitress was incredible. I didn't know what drink to get so she walked through what she thought I might like. Even though they have a small menu I feel like they just do it right. We got the blue crab beignets and the pimento cheese with bread.... I mean they sound super simple right? How could I be head over heels for these two dishes? Well I am. I'll dream about them until I can eat it again!

Yelp
When you get recommended a place by friends, you usually go in with high expectations--which, more often than not, aren't met. The Ice Plant not only met but exceeded them in every way. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was fantastic, the staff was welcoming, and the drinks and food were top-notch. This is not just a bar--it's an experience. I started with an Old Fashioned, which was perfectly crafted and served over custom-cut ice they prepare daily. A friend asked for a custom sangria, and the bartenders didn't hesitate to whip up something delicious. The bar team here knows their craft and is happy to create whatever you throw at them. Smoked Local Fish Dip - Served with Old Bay kettle chips and house-made pickles, this was an incredible start. The chips were crisp and well-seasoned, and the pickles were a perfect pairing. House-Made Pimento Cheese - Soft, garlicky toast paired with Guava-Datil jelly gave this dish an unexpected but amazing balance of sweet and savory. Local Fish Sandwich - A massive, perfectly cooked piece of fresh daily catch, lightly dressed so the true flavor of the fish shines through. Served with pickled green tomato, lil gems, and datil remoulade on a brioche bun. Simple, fresh, and flavorful. Fernandina Rock Shrimp Roll - A Maine-style roll with lemon, mayo, and chives on a buttery split-top brioche bun. The portion was generous, and the shrimp was fresh and tender. Skillet Fried Chicken & Hoecakes - Served with collard greens, sawmill gravy, and apricot butter, this was Southern comfort food at its finest. Crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. If you're in St. Augustine, The Ice Plant is a must-visit. Whether you're there for craft cocktails, fresh seafood, or an unbeatable atmosphere, you won't be disappointed. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town!

Yelp
Favorite restaurant to visit when we come to St Augustine. This year, I got to bottle my own whiskey! Downstairs, there is a distillery you can tour and a gift shop. The restaurant is upstairs with plenty of air conditioned seating and a bar. Service is always quick and the menu is very succinct. I ordered the mule and the 1/2 lb ice plant burger . The mule is outstanding and the burger is cooked to request and seasoned well. After lunch, wife took me to the distillery to bottle my own bottle of 6 year old whiskey. They walk you through the entire process: filling the bottle, filling out the label and customizing with your info, and corking the bottle, It's not cheap, but definitely a cool experience!

Yelp
I'm happy we finally got to see experience this place as our friends said we would love it and that we did! I love that this place is farm to table so everything is fresh. Also, I love the ambiance of this place, it's really industrial but has low lighting for a romantic date night which I loved. When you first arrive, there are stairs that you walk up to lead you to the restaurant which it's very open and spacious-2 bars on each side of the restaurant with seating on both sides. The bar I liked because it wasn't too close to the main seating area so if you couldn't find an area at the bar there is lots of room to stand and not be in the way of others. As we waited, I got a drink-forgot the name but it was strong and good. They don't skimp on the liquor. Once we were seated, our friends recommended to get the blue crab beignets and we got the truffle fries, OMG both were delicious especially the beignets-I definitely want to go back just for those! As for my entree, I got the catch of the day which was the corbia and it was delicious. You can taste every bit of how fresh and seasoned the fish and all the components were! It was super filling too. My husband got the fried chicken and hoecakes and he absolutely LOVED his and couldn't finish it all. This is definitely a place worth trying and keeping in rotation every time we come to St. Augustine. We definitely will be back this place has good vibes, good drinks and bomb food!

Yelp
Such a unique restaurant located near the historic district of st. Augustine with delicious food. Such a great atmosphere to socialize and the food was so fresh. The ceviche was the best starter and the fish of the evening was flaky, crispy skin and sat on a flavorful broth. If you're looking to try something new and refreshing with great drinks, service and environment then this is the place to check out.

Yelp
The Caesar salad is gorgeous, everything is made in house and the servers are very pleasant and efficient. The atmosphere is industrial style and cool inside. I enjoyed my lavender champagne which was only $5!

Yelp
Do not miss this incredible establishment. The food was absolutely incredible. One of the best meals I've ever had! Delicious and thoughtful ingredients, kaiseki influenced philosophy. The service was magnificent. The Ice Plant offers much in such an unassuming atmosphere. It's a must when you're in St. Augustine.

Yelp
We ordered the pimento cheese which was fantastic and set the bar high to start. Home made bread was great. My wife had the Dutch oven pbj pancake. She liked it but I was not a huge fan. It was more like a cake and very thick. I thought it would have more of the pbj flavor but the lemon was heavy. I ordered a burger medium with fries. Came out well done with peppers and potatoes and spring mix on it. I am not a fan of wilted spring mix or well done meat and expected fries. I swapped this out for a shrimp roll. I don't recall it saying this was cold... to me, pretty bland. Very unexciting. I wouldn't be a repeat customer with this menu. (Brunch menu) Pictures were after since I forgot to take before we ate except the pimento.

Yelp
We went here late, one of few places in downtown St Augustine opened past 9pm We had a couple of drinks & apps, the shrimp toast & the pork belly sliders. Bartender was very friendly. I was disappointed they didn't have shrimp & grits on their menu as it showed it on Yelp

Yelp
My wife and I ate here a couple days ago for lunch after touring the Distillery. The menu is very limited but what we had was great. I had a burger and my wife had a shrimp roll. Our server Destiny M. was great. It is a simple small room with wood tables and bar. Very nice place.
