"Ice Plant Bar's name is no joke: The bartenders really do hand-carve ice for the drinks. Like all good upscale cocktail dens, this one offers a mix of well-executed classics—think Sazerac, Tom Collins, Old Fashioned—and new drinks, ranging from dark and smoky (e.g., the Burt Reynolds, a rye-based tipple with vermouth, smoked cherry wood, and spiced and chocolate bitters) to bright and herbal (like the Little Red Corvette, a Negroni relative with cranberry, thyme, and lemon). There's a serious food menu too: fried chicken and hoe cakes, a pan-seared fish of the day, and the Minorcan mezze, a beautiful tribute to the culture of the Mediterranean that includes black-eyed pea falafel, tabbouleh with corn and datil peppers, labneh, hummus, pita, and more." - Sam Worley
