The 19 Best Lunch Restaurants In Coral Gables

"Ichimi in Coral Gables serves big bowls of steamy ramen, springy pork belly bao buns, and crispy-bottomed gyozas. Our favorite ramen here is the Ichimi ramen. It’s a tonkotsu broth that comes with your choice of protein and noodles. The ramen also comes with scallions, crunchy kikurage mushrooms, bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, sesame seeds, and a soft boiled egg. Slurp it all up with their wooden spoons and pretend you’re a Ghibli movie character." - virginia otazo, ryan pfeffer

Miami's 16 Best Hangover Restaurants

"Ichimi in Coral Gables (there's a Midtown location too) serves big bowls of ramen, springy pork belly bao buns, and crispy-bottomed gyozas. Our favorite ramen here is the Ichimi ramen—a tonkotsu broth that comes with your choice of protein and noodles. We order ours with pork and imported egg noodles. We know ramen with egg noodles sounds a little counterintuitive, but they’re more filling and flavorful than Ichimi’s housemade noodles, and cost the same. The ramen comes with scallions, crunchy kikurage mushrooms, bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, sesame seeds, and a soft boiled egg. Slurp it up with their ladle-like wooden spoons and pretend you’re a Ghibli movie character (or just someone who didn’t take seven shots of tequila last night). " - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo

14 Outstanding South Florida Japanese Restaurants That Go Beyond Sushi - Eater Miami

"This Coral Gables eatery offers a concise menu of izakaya favorites for diners who need their fix. It is its namesake ramen, however, that is the real draw here. Besides its bowls of noodles in in a variety of broths, including the rich and porky tonkotsu, the restaurant also offers cold ramen dishes. Additionally, the restaurant offers noodles with dipping sauces, called tsukemen. On occasion, the kitchen will also feature seasonal ramen preparations." - Carlos Olaechea

Google
In a place known for its Latin American cuisine we somehow found a gem in Ichimi, a ramen spot located in the posh Coral Gables neighborhood. The atmosphere feels very intimate and the service is quick and good. We ordered the scallion pancakes and pork gyoza as openers. They arrived quickly and warmly but their flavor was a bit lacking. The scallion pancakes in particular came with hoisin on it which wasn’t bad but it did take away from the natural scallion flavor a bit. They were also served with a side of cream cheese which I found a bit odd. As for the gyoza it was soft and lacked a bit of flavor but wasn’t necessarily bad, just a bit underwhelming. Moving onto the main dishes, our party ordered a number of dishes but we personally had the soul and black dragon ramens. The soul ramen was a light and buttery tonkotsu ramen with tender noodles that brought the whole dish together; it was very good. The black dragon ramen was also very good, albeit very very garlic. It has a deep flavor that feels bold so if that’s not your thing then choose something else. An important thing to note is that these bowls were not only on the cheaper side but they were also very generous with their toppings which really is something we highly value. It is very rare to find a place that will give you a full egg and they did here. Not to mention the ramen came out very fast and everyone liked their ramen, and that’s big praise from a family who eats a LOT of ramen. Ichimi was extremely impressive. From its quaint, unassuming atmosphere to its flavorful broth and generous toppings. We highly recommend stopping by here if you’re in the Coral Gables area or Miami for that matter. Or if you are as equally obsessed with noodles as we are.

Google
I really lived this place since a friend recommended it. Been there three times already, I’m a big fan of ramen and I can say theirs are one of the best that I had in Miami. Ichimi and spicy miso ramen my go to’s and of course their bao buns are to die for. If you’re near Coral gables and wanna do a quick stop for food this is one of those places. Recommended 100%

Google
Very solid ramen restaurant. They have set ramen, build-your-own ramen, rice bowls, and a LARGE variety of appetizers. Located on a side street off the Miracle Mile area of Coral Gables in Miami. The ramen was good and doesn’t come overstuffed with too much extras, which is how I like it. The broth is the main draw for ramen and theirs was good. I prefer the home made thin noodle over the egg noodle when it comes to ramen. Egg noddles are better for Chinese style noodle soup. Moreover, I thought the gyoza and spicy fried chicken (like karage) were the real winning dishes. Both were really good. I’ve been here a couple times now. Both were memorable so that’s a good sign.

Google
Can.I say delicious hot and free and by the way came via Uber. When I tell you this food was good I mean good. The bao buns 😩 my chooses were the rib bao and pork belly you won’t go room. My rice I went with the shrimp ! Hello can we say real good !

Google
My husband got the fried chicken and curry rice bowl and I got the Ichimi ramen with wontons - both were absolutely delicious! The broth was so creamy and savory, and the noodles made-in-house were perfect. The chicken was super crispy but not too fatty and oily, which was awesome. The scallion pancake was refreshing and crispy, and the brisket bao was flavorful but a bit too tough for brisket meat, which should usually be softer. The path to the bathroom is a little horror-movie-esque, I won’t lie, but it looked like it was connected to another business or two? Regardless, pretty clean bathroom and the food was top notch and they give you plenty of food for a decent price.

Google
It always sucks walking into a restaurant where the workers are more lost the customers walking in. Everyone was doing everything yet absolutely nothing at the same time. My server was not focused at all when taking more order. Let alone, it took some time getting a server to take my order in the first place and when I say this place is tiny, I mean it. One skilled server can handle the entire restaurant with a host and maybe a couple of food runners. The ramen I ordered was very disappointing. I know there’s a first for everything but I never thought I’d ever have to ask for salt because of ramen being BLAND. It sounds almost diabolical. Never once has that ever happened to me. Outside of the servers being friendly and nice, it’s not worth the revisit. There are so many much better ramen spots to go to than this spot. For sure.

Google
We had the ichimi and spicy miso ramen and it was the best!! The staff—specifically kelly— are so nice and welcoming. Very helpful and the atmosphere is so cool!! They play the best 2000’s music.

Google
The izikaya dishes were exquisite in flavor. Loved the laid back and unpretentious atmosphere. Definitely will come back.

Yelp
Best ramen in town. It really made me feel like I'm in a Japanese movie, they treat you as in your home hahaha. Food's a 10/10, must try it.

Yelp
I love ramen and the yelp community didn't let me down. We were seated Friday night and enjoyed a great meal. My husband and I both had ramen and it was incredible. The broth was silky smooth just like the menu said and the noodles were tender and flavorful. Actually both were some of the best ramen I've had.

Yelp
Visiting Miami from the west coast and had a craving for a hearty bowl of soup. Checked out this place as it had raving reviews. Small space but luckily we were seated right away! The noodles were bouncy, broth was rich, and not too salty. My only complaint was I like my chasu to be tender, and this one was more chewy. It was nice that they gave you 3 big pieces though. Not comparable to ramen back home, but if you're in Miami wanting a quick fix, it'll get the job done for sure!

Yelp
Be prepared to wait for a table if you come during peak hours. The food here is so crave-able that people line up out the door. However, once seated, Service is quick and kind. Mostly only have ramen when I go here but can't say I've had better anywhere else.

Yelp
It was a rainy day in Miami and we craved noodle soup. This was our first time to this location. There was parking on the curb and also a parking lot of the nearby bank. When we walked in it's small and very cute. The staff were friendly and attentive. We had the Takoyaki to start. It was delicious! The spicy miso ramen with beef was so good! The broth was perfect and the beef slices melted in your mouth! Everything was so good! Highly recommend for your ramen cravings.

Yelp
Nice unassuming place with authentic ramen. We usually add some apps like the dumplings, salad, and various spiced interesting things like duck wings or pork ears. The service is efficient and friendly and the prices are very fair. Best bargain in the gables for a quick dinner!
google avatar

Yelp
Arrived at 7pm on a Friday night and caught one of the last 2 tables available! Decided to go with the Spicy Miso Ramen with the house noodles and O-M-G that did not disappoint. The broth was absolute perfection, with just the right hint of spiciness, and additional chilli oil set at the table if you wanted to take it up a notch. For the meat, I went with the wonton--they were freshly made and absolutely melted in my mouth! Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Ichimi is currently my go to spot for decent Ramen! Today I got adventurous in trying some new Apps including the duck wings and the pork belly Bao buns! The duck wings took me by surprise but don't expect them to be as meaty. The bao buns were juicy but it would have been nice to not feel like it was just a mayo spread. Overall Apps were a solid B! Now for the ramen you can't ever go wrong with the ichimi ramen bowl to satisfy the craving. My guest tried the brisket rice bowl and it was very flavorful and large portion for two. This is a perfect quick lunch with tentative service and a fitting Asian setting! As always will be back for another yummy lunch!

Yelp
I had the pleasure of dining at this amazing ramen spot and tried their famous Ichimi ramen soup with egg noodles. The flavors were absolutely incredible rich, savory broth with just the right amount of spice that warmed me up perfectly. The egg noodles were cooked to perfection, with a great texture that paired beautifully with the broth. The portion size was generous. The atmosphere was cozy, and the service was friendly and prompt. This place is a must-visit for any ramen lover!

Yelp
This was my first experience having Ramen & I LOVED it! We sat down pretty fast & ordered right away. I got the Spicy Miso Ramen, it was the perfect amount of spice & flavor! The pork was tender and the noodles were so good! My friend got the Black Garlic and it was also sooo good but very different from the Spicy Miso Ramen! I would definitely come back to Ichimi and try more dishes & Ramens!

Yelp
Came back to Ichimi after years of not coming back and it was still a great experience! Didn't get ramen since I was craving some light fares for a snack. Let me be honest, I only came here for the crispy pig ears. I'm not sure if they changed recipes over the years but these pig ears are by far the best recipe they've had. It was lightly salted, very crunchy, with a hint of sweetness to it! I would come back just for these pig ears! I love the Kraken Buns, they're my personal favorite but I opted for the shrimp buns this time. Overall great experience, friendly staff, and good vibes. Till next time!

Yelp
I stopped by for lunch to try their steamed bao buns. The ambiance is casual and the staff is friendly, however, I wasn't greeted right away and had to go up to someone to ask for a table. Once I ordered, the food came quickly. I tried the shrimp bao. I was surprised when the shrimp came fried with a heavy amount of mayo packed into the bao bun. I was expecting fresh grilled shrimp, but I guess it was my fault for not asking how the shrimp was served. I probably wouldn't order the shrimp bao again. They do have a really good spicy chili oil sauce that is pre-set on every table.

Yelp
I have been wanting to go here for a while . Nothing beats a good ramen. There was a bit of a wait but nothing too bad you just have to put your name down. The ramen was perfect the noodles were just the right texture. I went with the veggie ramen. It was so comforting and just the right size. The vibe and service was great. There was plenty of street parking . I am definitely coming back here again !

Yelp
Wanted some ramen close to my hotel not too far from the airport. Glad I stopped in. I couldn't update the broth to my ramen because I normally get the miso broth. I was disappointed but when I tasted this? Miso who? So yummy! The broth was buttery and flavorful! I opted for the wonton chicken for my protein. Best decision ever. The flavor of this ramen was excellent. I highly recommend.
google avatar

Christie G.

Yelp
A repeat for sure. This was our second time back. The staff is nice and the wait is always pretty quick.

Yelp
I've always seen this place but never realized it was ichimi! Small places like this one are popular for a reason. I came on a weekday during the holidays and it was still packed! We had the pork bao buns and ramen and the pork was so good. I'm a big fan of bao buns when they have cucumber inside. The ramen was also very fresh. They give you two different options for your noodles. For dessert we kept it simple with the mochi

Yelp
After a week of visiting the Caribbeans, we were deprived for all Asian food. As soon as we departed from the cruise, the craving for ramen HIT HARD. Ichimi Ramen - Any type of ramen would satisfy this craving, decided to play it safe and THAT it did Anyways, I defintely recommend y'all stop by and try them out when you're in the area

Yelp
Walked in on a Sunday noon, it was quite empty so I get seated right away. The server walked over and poured water into the glass on my table and walked away without saying anything. Pretty soon like a minute later and they walked back to me to take an order. Im usually quick at making a decision on what to get so it was fine with me. But they didn't even mention the menu or anything like that in the beginning.. The inside ambiance is modern clean and nice. In my opinion, the pop music is a little too loud as it makes conversation a little more challenging. They have a good variety of ramen options, and I went with their signature tonkotsu ramen and their popular homemade ramen. They have a decent amount of meat, egg tasted great runny yolk, but I'm struggle to see what is the wow factor. The soup was creamy but overly salty. Noodle was ok, thin and so sort of overcooked. When you cook noodles in starchy water, you can easily taste it which I did in this case. I am a huge fan of ramen so I have tasted many many ramen places. I wouldn't mind coming back to this place, but this is like something I will dream about eating everyday.

Yelp
This place is really my favorite ramen restaurant in Miami. This last time we went we decided to try the soft crab buns as pictures and I was impressed that they had this delicacy on the menu in the first place. They were yummy and glad I got to try that. As for the ramen it is always so flavorful and savory. I have had the spicy miso, curry, and ichimi ramen and all were good but my favorite is the very traditional ichimi ramnen. All ingredients inside the ramne are delicious but my favorite is the egg. Very filling dishes. Restaurant itself is pretty standard and always clean. Service is good. Parking can be difficult since there is no designated lot but it is coral gables and there is parking within walking distance

Yelp
Come with me to Ichimi, their Coral Gables location, to try Ramen for the first time. I know I'm late to the game with Ramen, but I'm a fan now. My little sister said Ichimi had the best ramen, so I said let's go. To drink, I went with a Japanese Beer, Coedo Marihana Ipa, with a medium body and citrusy aroma it was great. For starters, we did the Rib Bao Buns and the Crispy Pig Ears. The Rib Bao Buns were delicious, and the rib was tender--the combination of the rib with slaw and the fluffy and soft buns made for a delightful bite. My sister wanted Crispy Pig Ears, and they were good. The pig ears were indeed crispy and had a sweetness to them, but a bit too chewy for me. For the ramen, we both had the Ichimi Ramen made with a Ton Katsu base, scallions, kikurage mushroom, bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, and hanjuku egg (I opted out of the egg), and we did a side of pork. The broth was rich in flavor and creamy. The pork was tender. I liked the noodles. I tried everything in the bowl except for the nori since I'm not fond of the texture. The ramen is served in a large bowl and is very filling. Overall, I loved Ichimi. The food was excellent, and the service was lovely. I liked ramen more than I thought I would and ate more than my sister and I thought I would. I definitely need to work on my chopstick skills, but I will be back for the ramen and Bao Buns.

Yelp
I've been coming to Ichimi since 2017, and in all that time the quality of their food has never wavered. Ichimi is the gold standard for ramen in South Miami, and it's obvious the owner and chefs have an incredible passion and respect for Japanese food. On the menu, you'll find several choices to satisfy your ramen craving, but you'll also have the chance to try a number of Japanese snacks and appetizers, including Takoyaki, Pork Gyoza, and Pork Belly Bao buns (sense a theme in my taste?). When you go, you HAVE to try the "Ichimi Ramen", a classic, unbelievably creamy tonkotsu that exemplifies comfort food in the truest sense of the word. The ingredients used in the dishes are of the highest quality; you'll never catch them dead serving you a bowl with curly pre-packaged noodles or over-boiled, unmarinated eggs like some other ramen places in the area. If you're looking for quality ramen that won't break the bank, Ichimi is the place to go! Tip: Stop by between 12 and 3 on weekdays and ask for their lunch special - for a discounted price, you can get a bowl of ramen and two appetizers! It's a great way to try a little of everything Ichimi has to offer.

Yelp
Came here last week when the temperatures started to get a little cooler. I think a lot of people had the same idea because there was a line out the door! We didn't mind waiting and were seated around 40 minutes after we arrived. I opted to get the #2 which is a tonkatsu based broth. This little bowl warmed up my soul and I had enough left overs for a little lunch the next day. I ordered mine with pork but my friend decided to try the chicken wontons and I think next time I will do just that as the pork can be a little fatty. Others in my party ordered the Black Dragon Ramen which literally was black! It was super garlicky so if you love garlic this is up your alley. We also ordered the Soul Rice bowl which was surprisingly delicious. I didn't realize they offered rice bowls so this was a nice surprise. All in all it was a great experience.
google avatar

Carol M.

Yelp
Went to this place recently, tried the Ichimi ramen noodles and they were great. Enjoyed it a lot. I plan to return and try more dishes. I recommend it to ramen lovers.
google avatar

Beth S.

Yelp
The best pork belly buns ever! Great service. Reasonable prices. The fried chicken rice bowl is a little spicy as it's a curry. The garden ramen bowl was my favorite. Both are very big servings. I had a glass of sauvignon blanc with my meal. The restaurant is small, but clean and inviting. I would definitely return.
google avatar

Isabella K.

Yelp
Hands down the best ramen spot in Miami! Ichimi exceeded all expectations - the flavors, the ambiance, everything was top-notch. Visited on a Thursday at 7 p.m. and was pleasantly surprised by how packed it was, a testament to its popularity and deliciousness. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Alexandra L.

Yelp
I asked a few friends to recommend a great ramen spot in Miami. The majority of the responses I received were telling me I had to try Ichimi! I went with a group of 4 so we were able to sample a lot of different dishes- two ramen bowls, edamame, a crispy chicken bowl with curry sauce, and chicken gyoza. I was not disappointed. Make sure you come hungry because you're going to be stuffed after. Get the chili sauces if you're brave. Ask for Kelly because she'll give you solid recommendations!
google avatar

Christina O.

Yelp
Came here on a weekday for dinner. No one greets you at the door. You have to learn from the 15+ other people waiting outside that you have to write your name on a paper to wait for your name to be called. Once seated, we had to ask for our order to be taken and be given water. The food arrived barely 10 minutes after and was incredible. The spicy ramen was so flavorful and perfect for a cold Miami night. I would probably order a different appetizer. I did not like how the pork belly bao buns came with mayo. Overall, this place is severely understaffed. Only 2 people running the whole show other than the kitchen. Food is great, hiring even just one more person would take them to the next level.
google avatar

Christopher V.

Yelp
Man I don't understand all the five star reviews for this place, it's average at best. And this is the second time I try Ichimi, I came I year ago and an underwhelming experience also. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I was disappointed once again. The porky buns are too salty and chewy for me. The spicy miso ramen is alright, nothing to brag about, and the pork was also very chewy. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. I will never come back to this place.
google avatar

Yelp
Food is amazing. Its got a lot of flavor and its just the perfect amount. I got the ichimi ramen and my bf got the miso spicy. I honestly didnt like the wine and they changed it for me. The service is very considerate. (Obviously i took one sip i didnt drink the whole wine) and they gave me a diet coke instead! Server is very nice! And the ambience is fire, they have amazing music and the location is nice. Theres parking right behind the restaurant very convenient
google avatar

Jasleen M.

Yelp
Got the spicy miso ramen, no flavor or spice, I was confused because the broth was red however, there was no spice. I added couple spoons of their spicy chili oil but it didn't do anything either and then my ramen was just oily. The beef in the ramen is lacking, 3 pieces for the whole bowl. At the end the noodles were stuck together so hard grab with the chop sticks. If you like flavour and spice and appropriate amount of meat- this is not the place for you. In terms of service, waiter was nice which is the only redeeming quality.
google avatar

Shania B.

Yelp
Great service. Reasonable prices. The Ramen was amazing but not a fan of the meat inside. The decor was very nice. Definitely will return
google avatar

R.J. W.

Yelp
I was very impressed with Ichimi. The wait was about 25 minutes, but once we were seated, the waitress was very accommodating. The vibe in the restaurant was chill and relaxed which I enjoyed. We ordered the Pork Belly Bao to start. For our main courses I got the Spicy Miso Ramen, and my girlfriend ordered the Ichimi Ramen. I definitely recommend the bao as it lived up to the hype. Our ramen came piping hot. Noodles were great, and so was the broth. Be careful with the Spicy Miso because the broth has a respectable kick. But for sure one of the best ramen spots in Miami.
google avatar

Quintin Q.

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing! The service was excellent! The ambiance was warm and inviting

Yelp
Ambiance is very delightful, and calm. Our server Kelly was very kind and knowledgeable about the menu. The ichimi ramen was delicious, and i recommend trying the bao brisket buns! Overall, i had a great time here.

Yelp
I tried this restaurant since I was in the area and in search of something new. This was a pleasant surprise. Food - I ordered the crispy pig ears, Ramen, and a glass of sake. Everything was delicious and the portion sizes were great, especially for the price. I could not finish all the food and took leftovers home, which could equal another meal. Service - My server was super nice and attentive. Dining Room - I like that the dining room is small. But there are different seating options - tables, high tops, and booths. Parking - There is plenty of parking nearby.

Yelp
I was pretty excited to try out this place after seeing all the raving reviews on Google Reviews and Yelp. Ramen is one of my favorite foods so I had high expectations coming in. Came for a weekend lunch and there was seriously nobody there, we were the only people in the store for about 20 minutes which I was not expecting. The waiters were all very courteous to us and we got our food very quickly. I ordered the Ichimi Ramen which is their standard tonkatsu ramen and honestly I have to say that I wasn't a fan. The ramen broth itself was very buttery, like you could taste the butter in the broth which is weird because that's usually not an ingredient in there. The sliced woodear mushrooms were very hard and the bamboo shoots had a very distinct canned taste to them, like they were not incorporated into the broth at all. Even the egg wasn't mind-blowing which is usually always the star of the dish. Was honestly pretty disappointed with this ramen. Not sure if I will come back to be honest, but +1 for the friendly servers and how fast our food came out. I think after we ordered, we must have only waited 5 minutes before the ramen came and we got the checks immediately after we finished which was nice.

Yelp
My 3&5yo loves Black Dragon Ramen, edemami and chicken They said it was the best chicken they'd ever had. I loved it to . I'm going to ask for less oil and try the beef next time since the pork was a little fatty but the kids liked it,

Yelp
Fantastic little sushi restaurant. Food was super fresh, service was outstanding. We went at lunchtime, it was crowded with, which is always a good sign. a lot of non-sushi options for those who don't want fish.

Yelp
Best ramen in miami! Everything on the menu is delish but the ramen is super. The flavors are bold and so delicious. They don't take reservations so depending on the time of day there can be a bit of a wait time.

Yelp
The food was AMAZING Location: It didn't appear open when driving by. It is very unassuming location. Inside: The inside was nice enough. My group of 4 sat in a booth. The booths/tables and chairs weren't super fancy, but we came for a late lunch (3pm). Loved the signage! The place had lovely Japanese calligraphy and paintings everywhere. Lighting fixtures added a nice touch, but weren't useful during the day. I'm sure they provide a nice ambiance at night. Service: Our server was really kind, but got caught up watching the World Cup. One of our person's dishes came out much later than the rest. We had to prompt the waiter about the plate. One star lost for the late plate and having to pull attention away from the TV. Food: What can I say?! Literally and easily the best ramen I've ever had. It was so flavorful and all of the ingredients blended in so well together. The ramen dishes were creamy, which we weren't expecting, but it was just right. Below are our dishes: -Soul Ramen with Wonton (chicken), add corn -Curry Ramen with Ribs -Spicy Miso Ramen with Wonton (chicken) -Szechuan signature bowl All of these are being highly recommended. Our pickiest eater gave it a 10/10!

Yelp
Why is it so very comforting to have ramen? I love their midtown location and the Coral Gables one did not disappoint.

Yelp
Loved the Ichimi Ramen with rib. Prices are more reasonable than other ramen establishments in Miami. Booths are comfortable and staff is nice.

Yelp
The food is great, really really good. The issues here come from staff attention today detail and ambience. The bad first: this restaurant plays explicit music loudly in the restaurant. If you have young children or are sensitive to songs with inappropriate words, this restaurant plays that. I saw a mother covering her child's ears a few times during dinner when heavy vulgar language was used in songs. Second, while sparkling water is complimentary, staff do not pay attention to detail and refill your cup with whatever they have in their hand. I had sparkling water that was running low, and staff just came by and didn't ask what I was drinking, just filling it up with regular water. Now the good. Gyoza is awesome. Those homemade pork dumplings are so delicious and served with an awesome soy sauce that has some tang in it. The ramen is excellent. It is a little more expensive that other places since all toppings are extra, but it is nice that they give complimentary chili oil. The noodles are great, the pork is chewy and fatty, and the broth is delicious.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday for lunch and was seated immediately. Ended up getting the #2 Ichimi Ramen. What a good classic: I chose the house-made thin noodles which felt fresh with that ideal chew. The broth was satisfying with the savory soy sauce and black garlic oil. If you like spicy, make sure you ask for the chili oil, which you'll add in yourself. I may have added a little too much, but whoo that was painfully good. For each ramen, I like there's a choice for different proteins. For #2, you get to choose between pork, wonton, beef (+$1.50), or rib (+$1.50), and I ended up choosing the wontons as the protein. I really liked how uniquely flat the wontons were, and the meat was lightly flavored--definitely would get them again. Service was super fast, the ramen came in less than 10 minutes. and the servers were on top of refilling waters. As for parking, you'll have to do street parking (pay by mobile) or there are nearby parking garages to also choose from. Grabbed an Ichimi Gyudon to-go to eat later for dinner. Chose this since unlike ramen, I didn't have to worry about the soup or the noodles changing texture. If you like sweet savory dish, order this! It's definitely on the sweet side for sure loaded with caramelized onions, but there's also so much flavor and texture with the soy sauce, fatty meat, soft rice, and runny egg. Such good comfort food. Reheated it (not including the egg), and I was amazed that 6 hours later the egg was still runny. All in all great food for both dine-in and take out. Will definitely come back!

Yelp
Superb. Stopped by as the end of a road trip with friends. Lively atmosphere, great service. Best takoyaki I've had anywhere in the country. Food was excellent, came quickly, and the servers were attentive and nice.

Yelp
I've lived and worked in the Gables area for the last ten years and ichimi has always been a go to spot for me. It's a ramen spot so naturally I got the ramen! I've only gone during lunch and they have a special that includes ramen, gyoza and spring salad. All three are delicious not matter which combination of meat you get. Make sure you try the chili oil! It's a spicy but well worth adding it to your ramen. The service is fantastic and they are attentive when you arrive. It does get busy during lunch times so be prepared for a small wait. The space itself is fairly small but comfortable and enjoyable. I 100% recommend coming to ichimi if you are looking for a good ramen spot in downtown gables

Yelp
Small place in coral gables featuring delicious food! We started with chicken gyoza and shrimp gyoza (dumplings) that was fresh and yummy. The shrimp ones were delicious!! These are 6 pieces each. We also got pork belly bao and brisket bao. 3 pieces each. Both were good but the pork belly one was outstanding. They came with sliced cucumber and alioli so they had extra textures and flavors that the brisket ones didn't have. The Ichimi ramen is their go-to but I got the black dragon noodle (black garlic in tonktsu soup) upgraded with beef. You can get chicken instead. The ramen is served in sizeable red (or white) bowls. Mine came with a wooden ladle-like spoon which was funky and functional. You can pick from homemade noodles or egg noodles. I tried the homemade noodles. For dessert I tried the mochi ice cream and found that it was the perfect ending to a delicious lunch. We live far but we will definitely be coming back for more.
