"Andreas Caminada is the man behind this fabulous venture in the Marktgasse Hotel, located in the heart of the historical district on the right bank of the River Limmat. The beautiful, classically styled bar (perfect for pre-dinner drinks) leads into the tastefully decorated restaurant, designed by Patricia Urquiola. The set menu, which is devised for sharing, can be supplemented by à la carte options. Head chef Daniel Zeindlhofer remains true to the IGNIV philosophy while incorporating his own ideas. The result is complex yet accessible cuisine, in which his technical skill is as much the focus as the outstanding produce. Standout dishes that remain in the memory include a remarkably intense fish soup and an aromatic duck and venison terrine with black truffle and brioche. The wine list is exceptional, with a particularly impressive champagne selection. Wine pairings from the Zurich region are recommended to go with the set menu. Led by hostess and sommelier Ines Triebenbacher, the charming, top-notch team guides you seamlessly through the evening, which concludes with the iconic IGNIV "candy store" – a sweet memento that goes down well with diners." - Michelin Inspector

We had an amazing birthday dinner of my best friend together with his lovely wife and one of their sons. Service is the absolute best service I've ever experienced in Zurich, in Switzerland and to be honest: in the world. The chef also came when we were on the way to go, really nice, 37 years old, from Austria. Top restaurant. One of the very best in Switzerland and Europe. Thank you so much for the great experience and that really super outstanding Service!

This Michelin restaurant has lots of small dishes and many varieties. The servers are very attentive. The only thing is that the space between the seats are a little too crowded and a bit noisy overall. The main dish pork is not strong enough compared to other prior dishes. Overall is still a very good restaurant to visit.

Overall a bit disappointed. My honest opinion. I've been to several Michelin restaurants over the world, including Paris, London, San Francisco, other places in Switzerland, Tokyo and Seoul, but it was the first time that made me doubt the Michelin guidance. The atmosphere was good. However, foods were disappointing. Foods were alright overall, but not even close to the Michelin one star. The staffs were really kind, but their knowledge of their serving menus were questionable. When I asked about the ingredients, they answered Umami, after asking the chef, while the Umami means the taste, not the ingredients. The dessert started to melt after 2 minutes it's served and lost its shape. The wine pairing was also disappointing. Honestly, there could be so many 'Gourmet' rated restaurants that can beat IGNIV by taste. All my impression was based on the comparison with other two starred restaurants.

A fun and exquisite evening organised by American Express, welcomed and looked after by an energetic and motivated professional team. Every dish served looked heavenly and the colours were well coordinated from the well selected ingredients making the Champagne pairing a wonderful experience.

Michelin star holding restaurant in Zurich. The restaurant with a bar session which serves very special cocktails. We tried the course with all the add ons. Every course comes as a combination of dishes with different layers of flavours. They also served a classic swisss cheese foundue on request. A good try for diners.

A splendid experience in the heart of Zürich. The attention to detail goes from the cocktails, to the great food and the impeccable service. You really get to appreciate the artistic side of everything they offer. The price is very reasonable for Zürich standards. Would highly recommend!

Mostly finger food. Very appealing for anyone with working digits. Really epitomizes the farm to table to fingers to mouth philosophy. More fun and casual and light hearted than a typical Michelin bourgeois restaurant

Worth for great celebration. Fantastic service, foods and beverages. All much in details throughout the dinner.
