The 17 Best New Restaurants in Tel Aviv, Israel - Eater

"One of the best-received openings in recent memory is Igra Rama, a vegetable-focused — but not vegetarian — restaurant that exclusively uses local ingredients, including whatever’s swimming just off shore. You’ll find fried local Maggie tomatoes atop a cold Maggie tomato soup with local goat cheese or tzatziki, made with ginger, lime, and radishes. The space, around the corner from the Carmel Market in the center of the Israeli balagan (chaos), has the cozy feel of a Tel Avivian home." - Keren Brown

Delicious, innovative farm-to-table spot! Dishes are seasonal, and Everything was sooo good, specifically the fries tomato and the Chickpea cubes. Staff was also incredible! Didn’t love the desserts even though they’re very original. Basbusa seemed delicious. Only reason they didn’t get a five star review is value for money - portions are very small and expensive (around 40-50 shekel for a small starter).

Tasty and unique food! All the dishes are made with local products and ingredients. You really should try the fried tomato with the cold soup, it is very good and special. Moreover, the seafood is fresh and you can ask for the weight you want. And the pricing is fair and not expensive. There are two seating area - inside where is the open kitchen and a back garden. Consider that some dish are medium size so are good for sharing.

One of the best restaurants in Israel. The food here is super fresh, the amounts are accurate, the flavors and the dishes are super simple (but in the best way). Also the atmosphere is great.

Amazing tasty food! The knafe dish is great! The vibe is really nice and the outside garden is cool. Some of the dishes are overpriced compared to their size. Service is nice but can be improved (we needed to ask 3 different waitresses for the bill)

Good atmosphere, mostly tasty food. Why 2 stars ? First of all - the prices. It seems like the menu is about 40% above the price it should be. Some people don't mind paying more for no reason, I do. There are countless of great restaurants in Tel Aviv which do not "rob me". The picture im adding here cost me 145 shekels. Secondly, I ordered a 7 plates dish. One of them was missing (they didn't have the ingredients for it). Fine, I asked to get an extra one of the other 6 dishes , they told me "we will check". Seriously?.. then they came back and asked me which one I want, I asked for the one I liked the most. They came back with a tiny plate with a small salad (not the one I asked for).. it wasn't bad , but I can't help but thinking they brought it because it is cheaper. Desserts : We tried 3 desserts, one of them was a total joke..I have no idea what they were thinking (grapes soup or something ). The other two were good , we enjoyed them . Overall .. mixed feelings.

Quaint little restaurant serving only local Israeli products, spirits and fresh seafood. Unique take on many courses and a very professional and friendly service. Worth a visit.

Really nice atmosphere, sitting and music. I don't mind the prices, but it looks like some of the dishes are not worth it. Maybe I would recommend this place because it is special, but I will not come back.
