My family was seated quickly upon entry and Emma was assigned as our waitress. Emma was so attentive to our needs and I love that she constantly checked in on us! She kept us updated on our food status and she was absolutely wonderful! I highly recommend asking for Emma if you visit! Our food was delicious and hot! Do not believe the negative reviews on the staff and I can only vouch for their breakfast items being great.

IHOP was a decent place to eat. I stopped here after a day filled with running errands. My waiter was patient My food came out fairly quickly. The food was delicious. Prices are moderate. The atmosphere was calm and conducive for having a quick bite and unwinding.

Arrived @ 9:20am Waitress (Olivia I think) promptly asked for drink order. We waited 15min for our other party to arrive. Waited One Hour for the Waitress to take our Order after asking for her Twice, She would not respond to our table. I finally had enough, and she was forced over to the table by another waitress, with an excuse, that the kitchen was behind, as if the kitchen was holding her from waiting on us. After 1:45 minutes we finally got our order. We ate fast, and out at 11:25. Staff was filling "To Go" before "Dine In" orders. and the staff could care less. That's the Big Problem, No accountability. No Manager on duty. I still tipped well, and the food was great as always, but I cook very well. I go out to eat to be served. I seems like the "Attitude" of servers these days think they are Entitled to things they do not deserve.

Extremely Disappointing Experience — Will Never Return This was my son’s birthday brunch, something he was excited to share with our family — and unfortunately, it turned into a complete disaster. We called ahead and were told they don’t take reservations, just to come in and check the wait. We were quoted 20 minutes. We arrived with a party of over 12 and were assigned only one overwhelmed server. It took him over 35 minutes just to get drink orders, and many of them were wrong — “splashes” became plain Sprite with strawberries on the side, my grandmother asked for orange juice and got apple, and four people never got their drinks at all (but were still charged). Then the food issues began. One sister had to send her eggs back three times due to cheese being added against her request. Another sister arrived last but was served first, while my daughter and four others waited over an hour and a half — only to receive the wrong food. I began recording the chaos in the kitchen and the condition of our food. That’s when the hostess angrily told the manager I was filming — and only then did he come over to speak with us. He promised to “take care of everything.” He didn’t. A second server eventually stepped in, but she combined everything into one ticket and completely messed up the bill. When I addressed this again with the manager, he tried to blame the server. Meanwhile, we had waited nearly an hour just for utensils, were told they were “out” of spoons and forks, and eventually handed visibly dirty silverware. After all this, the manager only took 10% off the total bill. For a ruined birthday brunch and multiple service failures, that was beyond unacceptable. We will never return, and I will absolutely be contacting corporate. This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had.

Great breakfast and great server! I enjoyed a mix of all the breakfast items including the biscuit and gravy, which was also buttery and delicious! Delicious coffee, not too bold.

My Wife and I came to this location Monday thinking we were bout to have a great breakfast together. Before we could even order our food we were grossed out, none of the tables were clean still was food on the tables from when other people were there before us. It really turned our stomachs , we will never ever come back to this location again.

1st time here at this location. Tons of parking around the building. We came on a Sunday morning and it was extremely busy and had a wait list. We ended up waiting maybe 20 minutes, so wasn’t too bad. It was definitely crowded inside. Our server was great… he checked on us several times to fill up drinks and let us know about our food. We were in and out in about an hour maybe a little more, but not much. Food was good.

Sat down for a set of Breakfast Crepes, and coffee. My partner had a pancake combo. Server was attentive and very pleasant. The dining room was immaculate, bathrooms were clean and smelled good. Temp of the place was just right. Great experience at IHOP, and still the best crepe I can find in all the land.

It's ihop what can I say..... I can say the food was good but the customer service was great!! This is the 1st IHOP I've been in that had all mideastern workers and they all worked well with each other to tend to all the guest! What I mean by that is typically you go to an establishment to eat and if you ask someone for something they say "oh I'll get your server for you" not this crew they all worked together. We had a family of 7 so everyone was all over, kids crying plates everywhere it was crazy man just crazy but those servers survived it by working together! Also the establishment was so clean

Ordered for pick up and bring out to my car, 1 hour ahead of time. I waited outside and called 3 times with no answer. Took my child out of the car seat and went inside to have to wait for someone to come up to me. I told her I had a Togo order and my name. She proceeded to seat the people behind me. Another worker came and asked me what I needed so again I said Togo and my name. Then another worker came and asked me the same thing. After about 15 minutes inside I was given my food. 20 minute drive home and I'm missing food. I've tried calling 6 times and it keeps hanging up on me- I cannot get through at all. My family is sick and I cannot leave the house again to go back out to get the missing items.

I don't get to IHOP often, especially the one in O'Fallon because it is always crowded on the weekends. However I had the availability during the week and decided to visit for breakfast. I didn't regret it. The service, food and environment were great! I like the variety of short stack pancake flavors at IHOP, and I finally tried the tres leches pancakes and they were good! I was expecting a little more tres leches, like flavor, put the tres leches sauce and caramel sauce was a great variation from traditional butter and syrup. I also had the hashbrowns, eggs and sausage to go with the pancake platter and it was cooked perfectly and delightful. The restaurant was clean, and my serve did adequate table touches for morning service and I was pleased. I will definitely be back. But during the week, not the busy weekends.

Over the last four months IHOP and the franchise owner has turned this place around completely to be much better experience than in the past. Most of the servers and staff are Indian background peppered in with some of our local folks as well and very pleasant and attentive. The restaurant doesn't smell like weed anymore and the food taste better than ever.

How this place stays open just amazes me. The servers are slow and inattentive, tables are often sticky and dirty, and, when you finally do order and get your food, you're lucky if they get the order right. While the food itself is passable, the experience you have to endure with bad service really spoils it for me, and many others. The franchise owner here really needs to step up the rigor for who they hire, put some competent management on-site, and maybe check in once in a while to see how they are all doing. We've been twice, which was three times too many - never going back and we do not recommend.

This was my single worst dining experience. The Oreo waffle advertised as chopped full of Oreo pieces had none. My son's child pancake was burned. They provided tartar sauce with the mozzarella sticks. This is the worst part....my daughter found a sliver of hard plastic in her grits! All of this overshadows the other issues like there only being one overworked waitress for the shift, the lack of refills on our drinks, and the sound of yelling in the kitchen. At the end they attempted to charge $83 for this awful experience. It was truly unbelievable.

I haven't had IHOP in years after trying their Red Velvet French Toast which left me very avoidant to IHOP because of how sweet that French Toast was. Nonetheless I decided to try IHOP a few years later and gave it another chance. Came on a weekday morning and was surprised there wasn't that many people which was nice because we were able to get a table immediately. - Big Steak Omelette - Honestly why anyone would order only pancakes is beyond me when you can get 3 pancakes with an omelette for the same price. Shared this dish with 2 people and it was still too much and had to bring some home. The pancakes itself were fluffy but weren't very special. I've got to say, without the syrup it would have been extremely dry. The omelette itself also wasn't too special as there weren't a lot of ingredients and the eggs you got were kind of like the free hotel breakfast buffet kind. You definitely have to put some sauce on it or else it would also have been too dry and tasteless. - Hash Browns (side) - Again, doesn't have much flavor like the omelette. Yes there's the crispy parts and then the soft parts like what a hash brown is supposed to be but it really doesn't have much taste to it otherwise. The dish should be called Heinz Ketchup instead because that ketchup really helped me get through this dish. Would I go to IHOP again? No, the food doesn't have much flavor. However does it warrant a one star? Also no because the servers were actually quite nice at least for this location. Honestly for the money spent you might as well go to a local diner and maybe they have more flavorful food.

We have breakfast here almost every Saturday. We have seen a tremendous change and growth in the restaurant. Management is working to improve the physical asthestics and building repairs. The cleanliness has dramatically improved, customer service is wonderful and attentive. The new manager, Dean, is an experieinced leader and has brought all of the employees into a cohesive team that all work together with a focus on customer service. The food comes out hot and delicious. Dean is turning this place around from the ground up. I recommend you give this local restaurant another try, you won't be disappointed. O'Fallon needs options and IHOP is back in the game!!

If you have an option, I'd recommend eating elsewhere. First, while the restaurant wasn't very busy we had to wait ten minutes for a seat. The staff would look at us, and then ignore us. Finally, a manager came and sat us. I would have walked out way before this but my 83 year old aunt liked IHOP. So I waited with a smile. The server was friendly but in no rush at all. The wait again was a joke considering the place wasn't busy. However, they did have time to chit chat amongst themselves. The food was good. It's what you'd expect from IHOP. That was nice. The real problem is they over charged us by $20 on the bill. Once the server delivered the bill she completely disappeared. It literally took 20 minutes, and me chasing down a manager, to get it resolved. My advice: eat elsewhere. If you have to eat here be prepared for a wait and double check the bill.

These are some hard-working well intentioned people who I'd love to see succeed but unfortunately... it's not looking good. They could benefit from hiring a local who is familiar with American food. The pot roast was very very dry and when we asked for gravy, they said they had no gravy. They also had no msshed potatoes so we had vegetables instead. They were undercooked, no butter, no nothing. The people at the table next to us were complaining as well. The place was clean and staff was so courteous but I won't go back. They need some advice.

Been going to this IHOP for years. Until recently, it was my go to for delicious pancakes, but within this past year the pancake quality has changed and has become some of the worse pancakes I've eaten. No more fluffiness, stiff, no traditional flavor; just awful how an established pancake franchise has turned their one prize Pancakes into trash. . . Waiter was excellent. Interior is starting to deteriorate as if the owners of the building can care less about real cleanliness or upkeep. Truly a shame how the quality have suffered.

So, the food was good... I got the Southwest Chicken Breakfast Bowl, and brought half of it home for leftovers. The service was pretty bad though. I had to go find our waitress, 2 or 3 times, because she never stopped back by our table once we got our food. Had to find her to get more coffee, and to get the side of salsa I was supposed to get with the bowl. She did bring extra napkins after a while. I know places are short of help, but this was ridiculous. Sad because this is the only IHOP left on this side of the river, within a reasonable distance.

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE!!! They give you an estimate pick up time....NO designated pick parking spot! THEN get this YOU WAIT again..,30-40 MORE minutes. If they cannot fulfill online order TURN THAT option OFF!!!! Then, you look at the food..YIKES I will NEVER return. The waffles were hard and the bacon went to hell and back. Gotta stop eating at this place!

Waited 45 minutes after a 3 minute estimate. Got a table that was both dirty and smelled like bleach. Asked for a different empty table next to us and she said it was closed because they were short staffed. Asked her to open that one and close the dirty one. That logic blew her mind. She told us to go back up front and wait again. So we left. Service has been bad every time we have gone, so this is not unusual. We should have known better.

I hadn't been to this IHOP in years and went this past weekend. It was a rainy day but no wait, four of us were seated right away and was pleasantly surprised that there had been change to the ambiance. It was cleaner and seemed that there had been some repairs done. There were several servers in training which is a good thing. Our server was attentive and we got our orders in reasonable amount of time. The food was as expect at IHOP, portions were generous. food came out hot and overall tasty. Honestly, I was pleased that we had chosen to go back and give a try. We will be back.

[As of October 13, 2020] I feel like teams should be formed b/c of the strain COVID has put on the restaurant Today we thought to go out for breakfast for a change. Restrictions have loosened up just a bit. You know you can always count on IHOP to be there for you. RESTAURANT: IHOP is easily spotted from Highway 50. There were only a few customers eating here today. Sadly, it to a few minutes before we were greeted and seated. I suggest some type of doorbell to alert staff of patrons entering the restaurant. At our booth, it seemed a bit dark. I don't know if it was the lighting or just how the sun was struggling to come in. For our dining, the table was covered with crumbs. We asked our waitress to clean up the mess. STAFF: Our waitress served us well. Overall, the staff seemed to be stretched thin though. Between the few physical customers and online orders, normal service seemed to be lacking. FOOD: We didn't order anything special this time around. Just some good ole pancakes, hash browns, eggs, sausage, and bacon. To my dismay, the food did not come hot, just warm. It was disappointing to receive subpar service from IHOP. I would like to chalk it up to the pandemic pushing establishments to a new limit. Maybe as time progress, service will elevate to a higher level. fin.

Dirty restaurant, service was descent but got bothered when the waitress forgot my hash browns and I could see the kitchen from my table. She scooped my hash browns from container and microwaved it then brought it to me. Would not return to this location.

Poor service and kitchen that can't get orders correct. Went in with 7 of us about 8 PM. Restaurant had about 6 tables filled. I ordered sliced turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy. Sides were a dinner salad. My wife ordered fried cod. My turkey came out at room temperature and no gravy. My salad had no dressing. I asked for French dressing and he brought out ranch dressing. I told him I wanted red French and he said they didn't have any. My wife was supposed to get 2 pieces of fish but they only gave her 1 piece. She asked for lemon and tartar sauce and they forgot it and she had to ask twice for it.

Will not go back ever again. For starters, hostess was too busy talking on her cell phone to properly receive and seat guests upon our arrival. Then, once we got seated it took 45 minutes from the time we ordered our food until it was brought to us, and that was only after a couple at another table complained to the hostess about their wait and threatened to leave before their food was delivered. The waitress was inattentive at best, often out of sight somewhere in the kitchen area. We had to ask for flatware to eat our food once it arrived, and had to ask for drink refills after our glasses had been sitting empty for several minutes. When we finally did get our food, it was okay, definitely not worth the wait. Pancakes were burned on the bottom, and later that day we both had digestive issues when all we ate was breakfast at IHOP. They did discount our meal for our wait, but it still wasn't worth it. Wish we'd read the reviews prior to coming.

I ordered the 55+ breakfast and the menu price was different than the web price. The restaurant corrected the incorrect price. I also ordered cheese with my eggs and got a refund for the missing cheese. I liked the food l received. Music was from the seventies.

I'm not sure that we have ever been so disappointed at any restaurant let alone just an IHop. We got seated quickly but waited nearly 10 minutes for drinks and another 40 minutes for food. My husband got coffee and creamer, but we were never even given silverware, so he had to wait longer to even stir it. A table next to us that sat down 20 minutes after us, received theirs before us. My French toast was soggy/under cooked and the strawberries and brown bananas on top were awful. Needless to say I sent it all back. My daughter's chicken was well done. The floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a couple days and bugs in the windows

Looking back at years and years of bad reviews for this location it appears not much has changed I'd spend more time writing this review. But I spent over an hour of my day waiting for a simple late breakfast after peak morning hours. The restauranf was at about 50% capacity and had roughly 6 servers. I dont think any server had more than 3 tables seated at a time. As my patience grew thin I could see several other tables were losing their patience as well. The wait wasn't the kitchen. Walking by the window to the kitchen i could immediately see there was a backlog of orders completed and ready to be served. Those other patrons had different servers than me. So it wasn't just my server. There's plenty of breakfast options in this area. Do yourself a favor and look to those ones first.

Really generous giving it ONE star. The hostess plopped our menus on the table and kept walking without saying anything or even looking at us. The table, floors, and even the inside of the menus were sticky, filthy, DISGUSTING!!! We got up and left and went to Denny's, which was wonderful.

Ordered online this morning Wed 3/17/21 and I still had to wait 15min for my order despite the waitress seeing me eye to eye come in the door and being the only one at the front. It wasn't a busy morning. I was only helped when two other customers came in the door, suddenly this bald guy from the back room comes out. I told him I was here for pick up and he got my order from a nearby rack. I guess me being the only one there was not enough for them to take the time to offer assistance. I should have just assisted myself and gone straight to the rack to take my order

Came in on a Sunday morning to kill time before we had to run to the store. The servers were acting as hostesses when we came in. So we had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. Not a big deal at first because we understand that places are short handed. When we got seated our waitress got seated us plus 4 other times right in a row. We were waiting 10 minutes to get our drinks and to even order. During that time I had a chance to look around the restaurant. Paneling coming off the walls, looks like there was water damage because other spots the wall was peeling off, the booth had some pieces missing. Thankfully our daughter threw a fit and we decided to leave. The way it was taking I don't think we would have ever gotten our food. Plus what I did see on tables did not look appetizing for the price I would have paid.

Slow service, mediocre food. Wait staff disappears after food delivery. I forgot to ask for hot sauce. I ate my meal without it. When we were done, we had to ask for the check. Not bad food. Not terrible service. Just a lot of room for improvement. I'll come back from time to time. Kinda reminds me of Denny's.

Do not go to this IHOP worst service and food in this area. Took an hour to get the food. They forgot our order. Others came in after us got their food They said they were waiting on the chicken. The Chicken was a microwave patty. Should have taken 5 minutes to heat. Inedible green beans. Watery mashed potatoes. Hash Browns burnt to a crisp. Omelet was ok. We will not go back. 40.00 wasted on a bad meal and service.

Do not go here! Went in today for a quick snack for the kid and the Resturant smelled unsanitary with bathroom order when first walked in. Did not get seated till said something, then found glass in the booth. Waited for over 15 minutes to have order taken when restaurant was not very busy. Other than the bus staff trying, no one else wanted our business. Unsatisfactory! We walked out. If I could give a zero I would.

Despite the restaurant being extremely busy, we received excellent service and the food was great. My husband's eggs were cooked perfectly, my gluten free pancakes were fluffy and delicious. Basically got scammed out of eight dollars. Ordered food from the website they only brought a portion of my order , They won't refund. Food was not even warm. This is our 3rd and LAST time here. The service is awful. It took over 30 minutes to take our order. Then half of it was wrong. 3 of us and we all ordered the exact same food. Each time has been just as bad or worse. Don't bother coming here. You'll be lucky if you get any service at all.
